The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The situation is ideal, if you are looking for a hotel on the sea front that is. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast is very nice, proper coffee is served (not the usual cheap dirty water thingy). Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Proximity to the beach, breakfast and "farmer's market" on fridays. One special person, "Salvador" took the time to help us immensely with questions...but can't say the same for other front desk staff. Our initial arrival "greeting" was a bit disappointing. We had traveled several hrs by train and expecting a friendlier welcome and details on availability of "sightseeing, tours, restaurants" and most importantly, to tell us that all local restaurants close between 1430 and 1800 hrs!!! Nothing to eat and nothing opened to buy the minimum. Felt a bit like "pulling teeth" with info...
i too much was intrested in almost everythihg, and that is why , i will off course stay in that special hotel next summer with my family, we are 5 persons, and really want to enjoy my next vacaction at Excelsior, which will be good for all of us, i appreciated everything there, frankly speaking, nothing at all. all perfect . i felt very comfortable in my room, in the garden, in the lobby, dealing with employes, even i am now friend to all of them really nice staff, and was most nice, that its location is near beach, and behind was that nice garden .
Excellent position Poor breakfast
The hotel receptions was great. Bicycles free for guest. Location. Nothing.
the staff were very helpful and the rooms were always clean. Even the breakfast was pleasant in an Italian hotel.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very very close to the beach which is a big plus. Also had free bikes which was great. I would most definitely return if the room rates were about Euro120/night It was fine, though a little overpriced. Euro185/night was a bit outside my budget range
Excellent service and location, much better than it looks from outside
the seaside roon view is definitely worth the extra money parking can be a problem
The superb location just minutes from Marina
Quite, nice patio both at ground and roof top Parking was a challange
We had one of the best rooms, top floor access to the room via balcony and ocean view. Breakfast just isn't good in italy.
Ok Since the season did not start yet, was a little bit "Silence".
The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
the rooms were very comfortable and clean, the hotel is very modern and contemporary, the spa facility is a nice idea but very small, breakfast buffet was good and the staff were helpful and friendly location not much to offer if you only want a beach its fine but if not then you are a bit stuck luckily we had a car. they won't give you an iron but will charge outrageous amounts to iron clothes, there are no tea and coffe facilities in the room and no room service.or bar although the reception staff will get you a drink if you wait 10 minutes. the spa is too small so once there are more than 4 people in there its overcrowded. the "sea or mountain views" are debatable you see them in the distance your actual views are of a main road and apartment blocks. there is a big underground car park but don't use it they don't tell you but it's 12 euros a night to park there. if you want an extra hot drink at breakfast they charge you for it
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Newly refurbished and nice and clean. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good and calm atmosphere. Close to the beach. To us this was a perfect location for visiting Portofino, Genova, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Luca etc. by car, and visiting the beach in between. Very nice breakfast to eat outside or inside. Again it was so calming, relaxing and pleasant. Free parking and always place for the car. Free internet with ok speed. Certainly a hotel to recommend.
Hotel Dany gave me bad impression. money for nothing. nothing to do in marina di massa. no sea view. price higher about twice than in cannes. Hotel Dany gave me bad impression. money for nothing. nothing to do in marina di massa. no sea view. price higher about twice than in cannes.
very nicely finished room/ no evening meal possible
On arrival the woman at the desk did not discuss hotel facilities at all. We took a brochure from the front desk when it was unattended after we had unpacked. The information in the brochure was incorrect. The room was quite small for the price we paid.
Very nice rooms and excellent breakfast with a great view.
Very comfortable hotel. As we stay there at the low season we were the only guests. Nevertheless, we got all expected services.
pool area as well as sitting area (patio); nice gardens hotel gets 4 stars because of pool and tennis court. tennis court in really bad conditions - very difficult to play and also dangerous (very slippery due to moth on the court, leaves fallen from tree ...etc). garden is beautiful but not very well maintained - trees not cut and so on. a little bit run down. definitely over priced - 220€ for 1 night with breakfast - this is almost a London price!!!
Friendy and helpful staff with a very relaxed atmosphere and lovely evening meals at the restaurant. The owners take time to meet and greet their guests and are very welcoming and helpful. Very little to dislike - rooms a little bit dated, breakfast could be better.
Very kind staff, excellent breakfast, very nice and relaxing atmosphere, nice rooms, parking, close to beach and various shops. Nice territory around hotel. All is good, many thanks! niente
Best service we have had in our 3 months in europe. The hotel manager and staff went way above their required duties. Thankyou for a memoriable stay.
Helpful hotel staff, excellent breakfast, free private parking, clean rooms. Location might be a concern for those travelling to Cinque Terre. But if you have a car it is not a problem.
Theo and his staff went out of their way to make our week's stay here a most enjoyable one. Having stayed at one of Marina di Massa's many two-star hotels on a previous trip, the Hotel Gabrini was a significant upgrade. The hotel is close to everything, but on a quiet side street. We would most certainly return should business or pleasure take us back to the northern Tuscany coast. Based on the price paid and the quality of service we received, there is nothing negative to report. This was a 3-star hotel with 5-star service.
The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were not there during peak season and ate at other locations.
Very friendly staff. Friendly and clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Free parking at the hotel is nice, and just a 3 minute walk to the beach. Count on an extra 10 EUR p.p.p.d. for beach seats & parasol.
