Pros: The fact that it was a very convenient location as I have family in the area.
Cons: Everything was good.
Pros: Nice guesthouse in beautiful mountain village. Very kind, older, owner who only speaks Italian but used google translate to explain to me what he could offer for an evening meal. Which tasted delicious.
Pros: Wifi didn’t work for foreign people who use devices under ios, except those with italian phone number. Except that perfect place
Pros: This place is just amazing. The young owners are SO kind and serviceminded. We had all our meals there, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is was fantastic, and all homemade from own and local farms. And this price for all is VERY fair...SUPER :) You can walk to the charming village Scandriglia in one hour. And after this a swim in the pool :) We highly recommend this wonderful place. Gitte and Jan, Denmark
Pros: Eduardo is a great chef and his mom as well. We had the best satimbocca ever! They create nice atmosphere, so we felt relaxed and pampered. The vieuw is astonishing!
Cons: The first time the road up the hill is a bit off a challange, but if you take your time its not a problem
Pros: Edoardo has a fantastic country retreat. It is in the hills overlooking farmland with olive trees. Our room was big and rustic and the bed very comfortable. Everything about this place was just right for us and one day we will return. Our host is also a qualified chef from one of the top schools in Italy, our dinner was fantastic.
With a stay at Il Sorriso Dei Monti in Orvinio, you'll be 21.3 mi (34.3 km) from Villa d'Este and 21.1 mi (33.9 km) from Monte Livata.
Pros: This was one of my nicest stays in a month time traveling through Italy! The owners were super kind (and spoke great English, which is somewhat of a rarity in Italy ;-) They made the most amazing breakfast! The best I had in Italy in a month!
Pros: Lovely place and wonderfull hosts. The owner even speaks excellent English. Nice breakfast as well, with home-made dolci.
Cons: There’s few restaurants in town. If two of them are closed there is not much left. But the owners of this establishment cannot help that of course!
When you stay at Turano Resort in Colle di Tora, you'll be 9 minutes by car from Lago del Turano. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Astonishing view, beautiful resort
Cons: no internet in the rooms, however there was internet in the lounge
Pros: Location was fantastic! All facilities nearby. There is a supermarket and the bus is only a few hundred metres away and an easy walk. The view and rooms are amazing. The staff go above and beyond to assist you to ensure your stay is perfect. I wish I had stayed longer....maybe a lifetime. Thank for a wonderful stay.
Pros: We loved our stay in Colle di Tora... excellent view, fantastic food, extremely helpful people with their positive energy and smiles made our vacation unforgettable for us. Thank you all, till next time, Seda
Pros: Wonderful facility with a great view of the Lake. Very friendly and helpful staff
Pros: Fabulous view, wonderful staff.
Cons: No internet
Offering free bikes and a shared lake-view terrace, B&B La Casetta sul Lago is located in Colle di Tora. Just opposite the shores of Lago del Turano, it features elegant rustic rooms with air conditioning. All rooms have a wrought-iron bed and tiled floors. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, lake views, and a fully equipped en suite bathroom. At the Casetta del Lago B&B you can start the day with a sweet breakfast. Rieti is 29 km from the property. Rome Ciampino Airport can be reached in less than a 1.5 hours' drive.
Cons: In fact we chose this room because of its balcony. It was amazing spending time with the beloved one watching sunrise. The room is actually quite large, but it seems very small since the owner tried to put as much things in it as possibile so you have no space. The bathroom is terribly small so if you consider staying here for more than one night you should probably think about how uncomfortable it could be.
Pros: Staff, location, comfort, value
Pros: Beautiful vista from private terrace. Room very nice. Typical Italian town - everything closed from 13.00 till 16.30 Bring your wine and cheese with you if you intend to arrive after 13.00, for enjoying on the terrace. Local ristorante very friendly.
Pros: Beautiful cottage overlooking the lake with a lovely balcony
Pros: The bedroom was excellent and the place fantastic overall. Nice and comfy bed, the room is clearly aimed at couples so it was perfect, there was A/C for hotter nights and also a nice terrace that faced the lake and its enchantful view.
Cons: The breakfast at the local bar was nothing special, and we couldn't try the breakfast at the owner's restaurant as the owner was not around in the morning and the only member of staff didn't know how to help us. This became a problem when I wanted to pay, as he only accepted cash as only the owner knew how to use the card reader, not a major issue but still their organization could be improved a bit.
With a stay at La Ripa in Scandriglia, you'll be 25.5 mi (41 km) from Villa d'Este and 31.2 mi (50.2 km) from Monte Livata. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice views and farmlike atmosphere
Cons: Receptionist was wonderful but the cook and waiter were pretty basic and casual. It was off season so nothing much was going on but still frozen cake out of a supermarket box is pretty bad, as was the food. Also there was almost no hot water for shower. And no one was available for breakfast. We were abandoned. Plus it was a little pricey for what it offered.
Cons: The location information is incorrect and shows middle of Atlantic Ocean. Also wrong location on Google maps. I was walking and they seemed unconcerned that it was wrong.
