Pros: Loved the resort and its location. It was our first skiing trip and we had loads of fun - being able to ski in and out of hotel and being so closely located to the ski school was a big plus.
Cons: Unfortunately my room was somewhat of a mess. We booked some 9 months ago and requested two rooms located close to each other. I ended up in a room being part of a bigger suite - this meant my son could not get to me without another room card. In addition, there was no phone in the room and despite various requests, this could not be arranged - which meant I had to walk to reception each time for the multiple other issues; no fridge (provided after two days); ongoing problems with room safe (maintenance eventually provided a workaround); bathroom full of hotel toiletries which took two days to have it removed (only once I shared a photo with Reception) etc. My son's room was also not serviced on one day.
Pros: Super variety breakfast and very comfortable spacious room. Lovely staff.
Pros: Breakdest, the omelet station was great !
Pros: Fantastic location
Cons: Norway is expensive
Pros: Food excellent especially the Brassiere
Pros: Bowling and varied restaurants
Cons: The room was way too warm at night. Could’nt sleep
Pros: Everything, facilities are great, rooms are spacious, breafast is fab (with plenty of non dairy alternatives for vegans and those with allergies). Ski in-ski out location is great.
Cons: Check in was a bit lengthy.
Pros: Friendly warm welcoming stuff members. They were easy to talk to in Norwegian and English
Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: Alpine suite had broken sofa, broken safe, big cracks on walls-poor value for money
Pros: It had everything, Bowling, surf and swimming pool, Spa and different restaurants. Nice location on the mountain with view above the valley and other mountains. We have been there in summer and still a lot to do.
Cons: There was a youth bike camp during same time, we had our stay there. Such Things could have been informed to other guests before. The kids yelled from the balcony and threw things down, that was annoying.

Pros: Kjolen Hotel is elegantly furnished yet is still very homely and welcoming. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had dinner at the hotel which was delicious and made using local produce - my home-made elgkaker were really special. The following morning we found breakfast had been laid out specially for us. We were the only guests in the hotel (this is very much a winter hotel) so a small, private buffet had been laid for us. A nice touch. We would most certainly stay at this hotel again.
Cons: The only reason I gave four stars rather than five for facilities was that there was no lift. I appreciate it is an old building so putting one in would not be cost effective. It was just that I found carrying a bag up the stairs difficult as I have a bad back. But I am sure that if I had asked for help someone would have carried the bag for me.
Pros: Comfortable room, good facilities for comfortable living, tasty breakfast, bar with special design. Recommend to staying here so long as you want.
Cons: I've been here just 3 days :)
Pros: Very beautiful hotel, the area, the room, the restaurant. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing! The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very caring. They have an area to store ski and snowboard gear and to wax the board, and a drying room for the gear which is so good. Great place! If I’m the area will be back for sure!
Pros: I wanted to see a lot of snow and that was a perfect place for me to see the snow. The location was close to a Ski resort. The food was nice.
Cons: The bed was not comfortable and was not meant for a couple. we had 2 small beds joinded together and the mattresses were also separate. also the food had not many choices for a person coming from Muslim countries. rest everything was amazing
Pros: Very nice and cosy restaurant and a spacious, light room.
Cons: Not that many vegetarian choices on the menu.
Pros: Owner/manager took time to speak with me at breakfast and knew my name which made it more personal - makes all the difference
Pros: Beautiful Location, Extremely Clean Rooms, Well maintained. The owners were extremely friendly and helped us with directions into the City. Parking was easy. Lovely Streams and Mountains with Abundant greenery around !
Cons: Breakfast for Veg/Vegan could be better
Cons: The hotel is a real gem! The family owners are the BEST! The food was simply amazing and portions more than enough for hungry skiers. Rooms good sized, clean and very quiet. We will always stay at the Kjoeln whenever we are in the area.
Pros: Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast, pleasant staff.

Pros: Great location and perfect for skiing with looker and garage.
Pros: Perfect ski in ski out hotel with an amazing spa. Great breakfast with wide choice. Everything set out very conveniently for skiing.
Cons: Couldn't get a table at the a la carte restaurant as it was full - there are other options, but if you want to go here you have to book in advance. A bit expensive, but it's Norway.
Pros: Nothhing was good and Worse was Booking.com. NEVER AGAIN!
Cons: Nothhing was good and Worse was Booking.com. NEVER AGAIN!
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Great variety of options and very tasty. We also liked the spa with different saunas and pools. It was handy that the lodges were connected so you didn't need to go outside. We had some problems with the shower, but that was fixed the same day. Also I was brought a lower pillow after asking for one. The checking out was easy as you could pay the bill the previous evening.
Cons: The room had only one trash bin.
Pros: Personal and breakfast. I also liked the place for ski´s and the bar.
Cons: Problem to fill waterboiler from sink. No washing possibilitys
Pros: Excellent location and ski lockers, actual ski-in/ski-out. Great selection of tracks for all levels, more green and reds on this side of the mountain, reds and blacks more towards the Tourist center.
Cons: Pay attention if coming by bus form Oslo, there is another Radisson (called Radisson Blu) in the Turist center which is a stop before this one (Radisson Mountain Resort).
Pros: Ski-in, ski-out, beautiful spa and outdoor swimming pool, cosy bars with fireplace, some gluten-free food, porridge with coconut milk
Pros: Nice location, on the slopes !
Pros: Hotel was very comfortable, location was perfect since you have ski in out from hotel. The bakery was perfect, has very delicious pizzas! If you stay in this hotel, your only option is the restaurants in the hotel to eat dinner.
Cons: That would be nice to have mini bar in hotel room! There are lots of green slopes around the hotel but if you are in a beginner level, you need to use skibus to reach to new learner slopes. It takes only 5 minutes to reach by bus.
Pros: Excellent location for access to slopes. Great hotel.
Cons: Spa facilities should be included for hotel guests.
With a stay at Trysil Motel & Vandrerhjem in Trysil, you'll be on the waterfront, within a 10-minute drive of Trysil Ski Resort and Trysil and Engerdal Museum. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice and simple. Decent kitchen facilities and nice shared living space. Friendly staff
Cons: Wasn't clear that bedding wouldn't be provided. Booking.com photos weren't representative of the facilities available as some of the photos included parts of the campsite.
Pros: Extremally kind staff, perfect location, good value for the money. Will be back!!!!
Pros: Breakfast exceeded our expectations, especially the freshly baked breads were delicious. Our room was cozy, with very comfortable beds. The large common space was a nice place to relax, and perhaps even meet with some other travelers. Since we were traveling by motorbike, getting to town only took a few minutes, and locally it was just a short path to the river beside the property. A happy surprise was to find the property owners also speaking our language; very lovely people from the Netherlands.
Cons: This is likely due to booking too late, but I would have preferred a double-bed, rather than sleeping apart from my partner in bunk-beds. The bed linen was extremely clean and fresh, but rather costly: for two people, adding bed-linen and breakfast almost doubled the total price for an overnight stay.
Pros: Amazing facilities and spotless clean. Oh and location is great
Cons: The rooms are really small if you are 2 persons
Pros: I liked the personal greeting and being shown around the property. I liked the warm and quiet atmosphere and most importantly the cleanliness. The decking around the property had a nice view too. We would recommend and come back!
Cons: Our window in room 4 was not closing properly.
In the heart of Trysil, Trysil Hotell is within a 5-minute drive of Trysil Bike Arena and Trysil Ski Resort. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice location. Very pretty. Good restaurant and cafe.
Pros: Basic hotel, very clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was good and it was served in hotel's cosy cafe. We arrived quite late but there were no problems with the check-in (the hotel sent us all the details in good time) or with the parking.
Cons: No hair drier in the bathroom
Pros: The self checkin with pin code was easy. The room was good and clean. Good bed. Nice bathroom with an excellent shower. Good breakfast. Perfect location for my bike days in Trysil. Some good restaurants in short walking distance. Lots of car parking. Secure storage for the bike (ski in winter).
Cons: Nothing that I know about.
Pros: Excellent room great value for money and perfect location. Very nice reastuant with great food and friendly staff. Nice simple breakfast in café next to hotel.
Pros: Very good and healthy breakfast. Good facilities for skis and equipment.
Cons: Could use a few more employees at the site. The 5 day room cleaning interval is a bit long. A little slow in refilling the breakfast buffe.
Pros: Good location, decent price and nice pub/restaurant.
Cons: Reception missing. Had to prepay and was dependent on getting SMS to get into room. So, not suitable for those without mobile phone.
Pros: This is a cosy hotel located in Trysil town Centre, around 6-8min drive from Trysil Turistsenteret (Trysil ski station). Although it states that there is no reception at the hotel, I’ve got lots of useful information from Anders, which really helps my first trip to Norway. Dinner for solo traveler could also be brought at the bar, and it is tasty & reasonable. Staff is very helpful.
Cons: Not much.
Pros: Clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed even if we booked a double room with king size bed but we got two single beds put together.
Cons: Very poor breakfast for a 3 stars hotel. When you pay 10 000 kr on week for a double room you expect a generous breakfast.
Pros: the beds were good.
Cons: the code in advance system failed (maybe because it was a last minute booking? ) too little place in the bathroom to put things; the chairs are uncomfortable; breakfast buffets in Norway are usually heaven on earth but this was a joke (e.g. no hot food, not one jam)
Pros: Good bed, good breakfast.
Cons: No lock on the windows, ground flour.
Pros: Relatively expensive, but nice place with spacious comfortable rooms, friendly staff and excellent restaurant.
Cons: Only Norwegian and Swedish TV channels are available, no international ones.
Pros: I stayed early Jan 2009. The food was excellent. The staff were superb. The room was sufficient. Apart from the bedroom, it had a lovely traditional feel to the place. It was convenient for the free ski bus and the Expressbussen to Oslo airport. It was a better location for non-beginner ski slopes than Fagerasen area. I was glad to be there and would choose it again.
Cons: I would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea.
Pros: Hotel is close to skiing place...
