Pros: We had a terrific time at Wheatley. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. A great shower, plus a fine large bathtub in the bedroom! The breakfast was superb, with salmon, eggs, croissants, plus cereal and juice and good coffee. Fine food at dinner. Everyone in the staff was really wonderful, friendly, helpful and we would definitely stay there again, even planning a trip to include a few nights. Thanks so much to Michelle, Sam, Marie, Joe and the rest of the staff. You made our vacation very special, and we think it's the best place we stayed on our three and a half week trip.
Cons: There was really nothing we didn't like about this lovely hotel. A great find.

With awe-inspiring views across Wharfedale, this characterful 19th century lodge is easily one of the most idyllic hotels in Ilkley. A stone s throw from Ben Rhydding Golf Course, and just a short drive from Leeds and Bradford, it s an ideal bolt-hole for short breaks and weekend getaways. Its classic Victorian structure houses 13 comfy rooms and bags of period charm, making it a lovely place to unwind. While down in the pub you can continue the relaxation over a well-kept pint of cask ale and a plate of hearty, seasonally inspired food. If the Yorkshire Dales are a paradise for walkers and ramblers, then the spa town of Ilkley is a sanctuary for those who love to browse shops and take afternoon tea. Whichever way you re inclined, Ilkley Moor (as immortalised in the famous song) and its four-mile prehistory trail are well worth exploring. The area is as rich in heritage as it is in scenery, with unspoilt moors, burial cairns, stone circles and Roman forts scattered across the hills and dales of the Wharfe Valley. You won t have to go far to find the iconic Cow and Calf rocks, though this historic treasure is just opposite the lodge.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Calverley, this pretty 19th century inn is a slice of Yorkshire calm that s equally close to the commercial hubs of Bradford and Leeds. So whether you re planning a short break or a business trip, it makes for an ideal escape. The Caverley Arms is a fine Victorian building with 14 rooms and a cosy pub. You won t have to wander far, then, if you re in the mood for a pint of cask ale or some heart-warming, seasonally inspired food. Judging from Victorian maps, the lodge s roots date back at least to the 1850s, but its stunning views over the Aire Valley are truly timeless. The pub s garden, which occupies a beautiful spot bordered by large trees and open countryside, is the perfect place to enjoy them, especially during summer. If you re feeling more active, there s lots of great rambling nearby and plenty of attractions to keep you occupied, from Pudsey Park, medieval Calverley Hall and the stunning Kirkstall Abbey to the hustle and bustle of Leeds City Shopping Centre.
Pros: Good location and close to places to eat. Informative welcome.

Pros: Lovely location with good views. Nice and quiet ensuring a good night's sleep after a tasty meal in the restuarant.
Pros: exceptionally impressed with the quality of the room i had, brand new looking bath with whirlpool and really large and well appointed room throughout
Cons: Don't expect to get to sleep before 1 am because of the banging music. No adequate response when raising this with Reception. No apology. Another two guests were also complaining to the Reception about the noise as we were leaving.
Cons: The hotel grounds are beautiful but the hotel is disappointing, we had an executive double room which was very small. The lift is scary and only goes up to the first floor and the breakfast was poor.
Pros: I found it quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The purpose of my visit was a reunion of old army colleagues. We were looked after extremely well.
Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff
Pros: wonderful views of the moors from bedroom window good location for exploring the area
Pros: friendliness of hotel staff
Pros: the hotel is very modern and is in fantastic grounds
Cons: the room did not have basics like hairdryers ,iron etc,,and when asked for waited an hour and they still did not arrive
Pros: Ease of access. Arrived late but restaurant waitress welcomed me. Service in restaurant very good. Interesting menu with good choice and fair prices. Prawn tempora - only 3 prawms! Scallops cooked really well (soft and buttery) could do with more flavour. Otherwise excellent. Breakfast also good - real sausages, good bacon and non-slushy scrambled egss. Well done! Over all the staff showed 'old fashioned' friendliness and good manners.
Cons: Bed hard and TV channel range very limited
