Located in Basque country this comfy agrotourismo hotel is both welcoming from the drive in approach to the warm reception from owners. We felt much like part of the family during our week long stay. A small kitchen and living room available. Location is excellent for exploring back roads of Basque country, altho does require backtracking to Vitoria-Gasteiz for trips to San Sebastian or rioja country.
very comfortable room noise from outside road and building work
The hotel staff without exception were particularly helpful, polite and welcoming, much better than in most hotels. The standard of cleanliness was also very high both in the rooms and the public areas.
Stylish hotel yet modern facilities. Good size room. Convenient location next to old town, bars, restaurants and shops.
This is a very friendly comfortable hotel. It is very close to the old city, maybe 10 minutes walk. Very lively at night and it is easy to socialise here.
great staff and great hotel for the mone
Good location. Fair rooms. A little bit outdated.
Location and design of hotel superb. satff extremely friendly. No evening meal available on sunday evening- cold unplative burger served in the bar. breackfast not available before leaving for the airport. ryanaer flyers need to know this....
The excellent service. What I liked most of all was the manner in whch the staff dealt with every request Breakfast was not great. Food and tea only bbearly warm. I felt if one was not down early for breakfast you had to do with what was left.
The staff were kind enough to speak english and were most helpful in genergal not
Perfect for 55€
Range of breadfast is good. Also, free WiFi is conveninet for business travler.
Very well situated close to park and only few minutes walk to town centre. Unable to use restaurant at weekend of our stay as booked out to wedding functions.
Location. Centrally located with the park right in front.
Beautiful views from the 9th floor: the illuminated cathedral and 4 churches. (I received quite some discount, and would not pay the full price of €172= though).
The location is very good, the room was clean and spacious; very good value. The "free internet" is actually limited to half an hour per day in the lobby. Ridiculous policy and very annoying.
I found the location very pleasant and the view from our room charming. I found our room incredibly small and tight for a double room. The hotel is somewhat tired looking. It does need a freshening up. It seems to be still in another decade such as the 80's perhaps. This was disappointing considering its location across from such magnificient parks and gardens.
Beautiful views from the 9th floor! The cathedral and 4 churches. This hotel is good. However, I received quite some discount. I would not pay the full price.
location and staff. breakfast buffet was good. no iron available to borrow, there is no fitness center, water closet on toilet was running all the time.
Convenient location, excellent staff and comfortable.
Proximity to centre but also quiet.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. All for 49€... a real bargain! WiFi in the room was not free of charge.
Great choice for an excellent price.
We liked the modern decor. It was difficult to find. The name "Sercotel" was not on the building. Instead it posted "El Boulevard" at the top of the building. Our electronic navigator (TomTom) did not recognize an address number of "3" for this street. It was dark and rainy with street construction as a distractor. I recommend making the name on the website consistent with the name on the building and posting a sign at street level.
very friendly staff; easy connection by nearby bus to city centre; shopping mall, super market and petrol station at walking distance. breakfast too limited; restaurant is more a cafetaria than a restaurant; a 4 star hotel should come with a proper restaurant.
Quiet rooms, very clean and spacious! Friendly staff; nice facilities overall.
Good value for money.
We liked this hotel very much.Room was clean and reception staff helpful. Free parking was a bonus, The shopping centre next door came in handy with plenty of choice of bars and restaurants to have a meal or a drink. It was a bit far from the centre.
Staff were very kind It is a bit out from town
nothing impossible to work in the standard rooms, no desk where to put a Laptop. no fitness room. my room was on the boulevard, noisy at night. food very disappointing. I booked for two nights, checked out after one and moved to Hotel Lakua just 2km away. Much better if you don't need to be very close to the city center.
Fantastic value for money. Spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable and quiet. Couldn't fault this hotel and would definitely use it again. Next to the Commercial Centre Le Boulevard with a huge Eroski Hypermarket. Follow the hotel's directions but then pick up the signs for Le Boulevard shopping centre. You will then see Hotel Le Boulevard on your right. Free outdoor private parking with barrier or underground parking for 11 Euros. Only down side for some guests would be that it was a 15 minute walk to the centre of town although this did not worry us.
easy to find and park, exceptionally clean, very convenient for overnight stay No restaurant, situated on industrial park
the beds and matras was comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. It was difficult to find, the indication was poor.
Very clean and staff were very friendly and efficient Unfortunately there was no restaurant within walking distance
Rooms were clean, location easy to find and close to highway Room smelled like there had been heavily smoked in it
Very affordable price for very good and new hotel. Very good for one day business trip or passing throught the nice sity of Vitoria Aircondition had a problem but the rest was very good.
The hotel was very easy to find. There was no waiting for check in / out and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were very accommodatiing as we required an additional bed for our 2nd child. The hotel is very close to the City of Vitoria.
Value for money. The family room was great with room for 2 kids with their own bed. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price. Soft, saggy bed.
very new hotel all staff were very helpfull and always with a smile nothing was any trouble
Loved this hotel. It was a great price for 3-star comfort. Our family of 6 had 2 "communicated" rooms, where a door opened up between the two rooms. When we arrived, we were completely exhausted, and it was great to discover that we could order pizza from Telepizza and have them deliver it to us at the hotel. We had expected to have to go back out and find some dinner, and it was a treat to just be able to stay in the room and relax. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Being from the us, we appreciated that a standard Holiday Inn room was a lot larger than a standard room from a European chain! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered a good selection, and it was included in the room price. It's a bit far out from the center of Vitoria. But, for our family, that was fine because the rate and comfort of the hotel were perfect, and we could drive in to see Vitoria in about 5-10 minutes.
Clean room, friendly staff, breakfast included and not bad. no complaints and would use again
Hi quality hotel, in a good place, quiet, and near all, and good for who is traveling, near the hiway. Pity dont have a gym, or a pool.
Everything, excellent hotel!
Everything was OK and very complete (breakfast, rooms..) Also dinners in the restaurant were OK.
Location to Autoroute and helpful staff Dinner in main dining room awful. Hot food cold and on a cold plate. Bad cooking too. Breakfast was good.
Very clean. Food was goodStaff was friendly. Boring hotel. No swimming pool. Boring location. Level of English spoken by staff was very poor. We were misinformed about breakfast when checking in resulting in missing breakfast and had to buy room service.
I needed a restaurant for our late arrival, and the hours and food were excellent.
Amazing hotel with all facilities. A bit far away from city center
Efficient staff Overpriced room service
Friendly with Cafe for our use when we were tired and did not want a full restuarant.
Very new. Good room, excellent bathroom easy and free parking easy to find. bed very confortable Wifi signal was not good but hotel also provide free cable connection which in any case was faster connection
excellent appartment [high spec and clean - seemed brand new], friendly and helpful staff, bike hire. Piped music in corridors
It had a rating of fabulous when we booked it and it lived up to that rating
Loved hotel design, the facilities and enormous space in the one bedroom apartment we we stayed in. The quality of bathroom towels to the bed linen and comfort of the beds was outstanding. Also liked that they provided complimentary toiletries bags with toiletries and the complimentary water and tea/coffee facilities/machine. Impressed by the well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove and washing machine. Would recommend hotel. A little out of the city
Great hotel, good position and excellent rooms.
Very modern designed hotel. Excellent all round. Nothing at all.
The bathroom door in AC hotels has a gap between the edge of the door and the wall. This enables fellow guests to see you when tending to your ablutions.
The bedroom was a bit cold. There is no heater to put on, only cold air and it is ridiculous since it is located in Vitoria, a cold area.
Nice design, good size room with new furniture, modern and clean bathroom, not too far from the city center, location with a lot of parking space at the buildings surrounding the hotel. The A/C was a little laud, some elements were not replaced during the recent restoration e.g. wooden baseboards, but in general this did not spoil overall good impression.
Large room, large comfortable bed, really excellent breakfast. It took reception 3 tries to find a room that had been made up.
comfort bathroom, hotel position
It was a decent room with decent services, nothing special, a basic 3 stars Position was not very centric and staff not very kind/ helpful, basic services
Location! Dull hotel rooms, very noisy as no carpets on floor can hear other guests TVs and using bathrooms as no soundproofing. No bar, restaurant as such,( order a drink it comes from the kitchen and red wine chilled!) This is certainly not a good hotel. I stayed in the Silken last year and only chose this one as it was nearer to my friends, big mistake. The rooms were clean.
Relaxed atmosphere, a very Spanish type of building, rooms very oldie worldie with good bathroom facilities Location for older people who find walking difficult was not good, some way from shops and restaurants.
very good service from the staff, the calm and tranquility of the hotel, yet close to Vitoria Slightly disappointed by the evening meal, and after having freshly made coffee the first morning (very good)the second morning it(the coffee) was tepid and obviously warmed up.
air conditioning is centralized
The hotel has masses of character and is finished to a high standard. Ample and secure parking. Very helpful staff. Adequate breakfast and the one dinner we had was excellent. The distance from Vitoria meant it was neccessary to take the car.
Excellent staff and the restaurant in the evening was wonderful, food excellent and a good set menu. Worth a visit if you go to this area.
Peace and quiet , not disturbed.
good location for those travelling to bilbao port. good breakfast included in price.helpful staff.english spoken a bit dark . could do with better lighting.could benefit from a budget evening meal for residents.
Easy to get to from the motorway, we used the hotel as it was convenient for Bilbao car ferry. It was clean. The hotel was very unusual as it was originally a stable and pig stye.16th century. Very well converted with lots of character but depressing if stayed too long.
Secure car park.Interesting quirky conversion of building.Good sized bedroom and en suite.Helpful staff.Good breakfast. Both hotel restaurants closed on Sunday. No alternatives within easy walking distance.
Nice room, helpful staff (even spoke some english!), there's a car park too. It is definitely too far to walk to Vitoria, tried to rent bikes they had, but the staff didnt know how to deal with that, so we had to drive to vitoria.
the hotel is charming and elegant and so where the staff, the rooms we had where very clean and welcoming, we will be staying there was nothing we disliked
Good location for touring, great view and lovely breakfast Restaurant very expensive to eat every day
Lovely Parador, as usual, could do with some TLC in the gardens and the addition of a pool. Staff and service excellent. Right up to Parador standards as we remember them from 20 years ago.
It was a very quit hotel even if 1 day was a wedding party. I was missing a pool area. We were not booking the hotel because of pool or not. But, when we were sitting in the bar and it was over 30 degrees it was very attempting.
We needed an hotel conveniently placed by an autoroute for an overnight stop and.by choosing a Parador we ensure a high standard of service and excellent cuisine.
Very clean and comfortable, good food, quiet location, convenient to autoroute. Excellent value for money.
The hotlel was new and very clean. Restaurant staff were excellent and the dood of a very high standard. The hotel is well situated for an overnight stay while en route in spain. The hotel is in an isolated location in beautiful countryside. The nearest town is 12Km and not that attractive. The hotel exterior is still under construction the landscaping has not been completed so there are no places to relax outside except a patio.
the friendly and efficient receptionist who couldn't do enough for us without being over the top.We were offered a free upgrade.(-which we declined as we wanted one bed not singles) The bed was huge and comfortable and bathroom well set up- even his and hers washbasins. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful with mini tapas style warm foods as well as the fresh fruit and pastries and cold selection. Only thing we could say we did not like was the price and choice in the restaurant-but it was our choice- we could have eaten in the bar-cafe -which is what we will do next time
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and made the check-in process very easy. The room was very spacious,
Newness of the hotel Set evening meal not the best and I got food poisoning following breakfast!!!
Cute hotel at central location, room and bathroom were very clean, new and spacious. Private parking close by. Will come back. Room's window had no view, facing the roof. Tricky to get in the parking driveway from a busy street.
Very convenient to train station- Staff got taxi immediately when I needed it- Room is clean Smoke is everywhere in Spain- This hotel has no non-smoking rooms-The appication on booking.com implied I had a choice.
The Almoneda is a comfortable old hotel--old without being stylishly old, but still very comfortable. Rooms are small. Rooms on the street side are noisy. Service was excellent. The normal price is too high for this hotel, but the reduced weekend rate made it OK. Given its ideal location, the hotel should invest in some redecoration, and it would be a very nice place. The room a coat of paint and the lobby was boring.
More like a hostel than a hotel. Does not merit 3 stars. Redecoration badly needed. Breakfast mediocre, poor selection, limited drinks.
convenience no kettle
The rooms are comfortable. I didn't like the breakfast room. It is a bar in the basement and it is allowed to smoke. The included breakfast is only a coffee, a juice, and a pastry. Additionally, I had troubles with the WIFI.
Staff was very helpful on locating sites to visit. Free parking was available nearby on the street.
The location and ambience of this hotel was excellent. The dinner was great and staff excellent
Wonderfully welcoming staff. Gorgeous bathroom (weird comment, but it was great). Well, be warned, smoking is still acceptable all over Spain. It was pretty overwhelming in the dining room.
Lovely bright and clean rooms. Out of town so no noise from pubs etc Staff efficient friendly, restaurant good value.Great selections of essentials in the bathroom. Difficult to find even with gps bed a bit too hard for liking
Está bien, es lo que se espera en esta categoría.
i liked the fact that everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable
The hotel is obviously new and the decor is lovely and fresh. The rooms are very spacious, light and airy. There are lovely views and is in a quiet position. Although the staff don't speak english, they do have their restaurant menus in more than one language which was helpful - the food selection wasn't huge and was quite basic, but it was nice food. We booked this hotel as a stop off on a longer journey and our choice was based on the availability of private onsite parking. It is a bit of a pain to find and up steep hills (not good if you have a trailer!)
The hotel was in the mountains, overlooking Mondragon. It had lovely views of the town and neighbouring mountains. The hotel was very modern inside, beautiful big rooms, great bar (with fantastic prices), and the evening meal was brilliant. Lots of countryside to explore, but sitting out on the terrace overlooking the town with a glass of wine was lovely. My two young girls enjoyed the playground also, and there was plenty of space to play. We were only there for one night, but could easily have stayed a week. Highly recommended. None whatsoever.
Excellent hotel and staff. Excellent value for money. We will go there again Breakfast Buffet was not too good. No eggs, bacon etc. and not enough pastry.
Wonderful surprise and the best of all the hotels booked through your service. No.
I wanted a hotel that would break up a long journey and this hotel was in the right place. The location is stunning, on the side of a mountain with great views, just outside the town of Mondragon which you need to drive through to get to the hotel. Could be difficult if you were using a map but the sat nav took me straight to the front door. The rooms are large and of a standard you would expect in a classy city centre hotel and have wifi or plug-in internet access. The bar is small and do snacks and although I didn't use the restaurant I was told it was a bit expensive. Breakfast is included but don't expect too much, if I had paid extra for it I would have been very disappointed. Good value for money at €50. Make sure you learn a little Spanish as the staff didn't speak any English on my two visits.
The whole experience was simply great. Extremely enjoyable. Nothing
