Pros: StilVerlangen is a outstanding place to stay, with a warm welcome. On arrival we were welcomed with fresh coffee and a selection of cakes, followed by a tour of the property and given slippers for our comfort. The rooms and bathroom were of an exceptional standard and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning can only be described as a delightful continental feast of exceptional standard prepared by our host.
Pros: Amazing stay. Very modern and nice property in a nice and quiet area. Francine is the best hostess you could ask for. She was extremely accommodating despite one cancellation and a late arrival due to traffic. She welcomed us with refreshments after a long day driving and the breakfast the next day was delicious. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Pros: Amazing place! There are times in your life, that you will remember forever. This is one of them - the time spent in this very nice house. It is located in a 20 min driving distance to Bruges, and 15 to the coast of the North Sea. Francine is incredible. The breakfast that she do is a peace of art. If you want to understand the life of the Belgians, visit thta place, and you will remember it forever! THANK YOU SO MUCH FRANCINE!
Pros: Friendly proprietor. Nice surroundings in quiet area. Very comfortable. Great choice at breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Pros: The host was really accommodating and friendly. I was there for a job interview and she showed me exactly where the clinic was as well as the town. Better suited for people travelling down with cars. The accommodation was incredible though!
Cons: It was advertised as a hotel and it’s a B&B but that is booking.com’s problem, not the host.

Pros: Everything from the breakfast to the location

Pros: Its a fantastic place, with nice people and a lovely location, tasty breakfast. We enjoyed a lot to stay at this beautiful place. Thank you very much from Moldova ;)

Pros: Superb staff great location
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: The size of the room
Pros: The room is looking beautiful, the shower is modern and clean. The staff is friendly. The hotel is located in the city centre and very close to the beach.
Cons: The room wasn't very clean: old towels with spots over them. The towels had clearly been washed but were just too old and were showing old spots. The curtains were dirty: spots of dirt and dust all over them, same for the carpet between the bathroom and bedroom. The hairdryer is a disaster and needs to be changed. There is no toiletbrush which is a basic need for hygiene. We asked for a two-personbed, on arrival we got a dubbel one personbed and sadly those weren't comfortabel. In our room there was a door (that was locked) leading to another bedroom. Unfortunately our neighbours got really drunk and loud from 4-6 in the morning. Through that door, you can easily hear everything...which resulted for us in a lack of sleep during our first night. The room would be value for money if all the things were in order and clean. Unfortunately with all the negative points above, i can't agree that it's worth the money. There are less expensive hotels in Oostende who pay more attention to those hygiene and basic needs.
Pros: The hotel was in a very good, central location. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was exceptional and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Pros: Room was lovely staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming
Located only 5 minutes away from the Airport Brugge Oostende, ibis budget is the hotel to choose before departing to your holiday destination. Staying in Belgium? Spend your days at the beach of Oostende or Middelkerke and enjoy the basic, comfortable rooms with free WIFI. There is also all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet in our hotel to complete your stay. Only a stone's throw away from the beach, the hotel is also easy accessible by car and public transport (coast tram).
Pros: easy to find and private parking
Cons: cleaners were on holiday
Pros: The location was okay the staff were pleasant
Cons: You could see that someone has slept in the bed before
Pros: Close to Heli Port - no need for taxi as walkable
Pros: We really liked the convenience of the location. There is an Aldi and other shops close by. It was perfect for us as a family of four before we took the ferry from Calais. There were 4 parking slots for free in the front of the hotel but you need to arrive early to secure them or park at the back and pay the hotel.
Pros: Great breakfast, modern facilities
Cons: Top floor rooms
Pros: Very friendly staff. Basic hotel but good value for money. Perfect for a short stay or a lay over before a flight. Rooms were clean, beds are comfy. Although close to an airport I didn't hear a single plane.
Cons: Walls between rooms and doors could be a bit more sound proof. Or other guest could have the decency to respect other people's sleep I guess. Only soap provided, bring shampoo and such.
With a stay at Upstairs Hotel in Ostend (Ostend City Centre), you'll be steps from Ostend Beach and 3 minutes by foot from Ensor Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
Pros: The postmodern atmosphere of the hotel and the intergenerational feeling that exudes from the hotel crowd. Excellent location fifty meters from the waterfront.
Cons: Limited access to gluten-free food, even though the breakfast is lavish. Most rooms have a view on back-court grey walls.
Pros: Nice decor, central location, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing - it was a nice place to stay!
Pros: Breakast was good .. late night bar : )
Pros: All was just great. My son had fun... we had fun. Breakfast top top top... Super experience.
Pros: Trendy hotel lovely staff everything perfect. Would certainly recommend this hotel and we will be back next year
With a stay at Alpha Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Ostend, within a 5-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Ensor Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The location was okay
Cons: It wasn't the cleanest place i've seen. While paying we got charged a fee we never knew about before and they didn't tell us what it was. The price went from €49 to around 90
Pros: Good location Cheapest room
Cons: The Beds are not comfortable
Pros: met with my expectation.
Pros: Great location, not the classiest hotel but good budget hotel. The lift is something else and an experience in its self. Just breathe in.
Pros: Convenience to everything
Thermae Palace Hotel is in the heart of Ostend, within a 5-minute walk of Leopold II Statue and Ostend Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel has an unbeatable location and we had a room with a sea view, so that was just fantastic - nothing but the sea! The bed was amazingly comfortable, spacious and clean room, luxury-brand toiletries... One of the most beautiful restaurants in the area, with its historical glamour of Art Deco interior and full-frontal view of the beach. Excellent breakfast buffet too!
Cons: The hotel is in general need of renovation and it seemed the process had already started on the front façade. Hopefully this will restore the historical architectural beauty of the Palais des Bains of old. Also to note that beyond a sauna (we didn’t use it) and despite its name, the hotel actually doesn’t offer any spa or wellness treatments or similar services - which was a bit of a disappointment to us.
Cons: I would have expected the SPA included in the price. The bathroom was enormous but the toilet small, knees against the wall.
Pros: The back door of the room opens onto a veranda / balcony directly adjacent to the beach, affording excellent beach views, sunsets, and the sound of the ocean lapping at the beach filling your room all night long if you leave the doors open.
Cons: A bit on the pricey side given that it's a very nice but definitely aging hotel. That said, the location and see view rooms with balcony are worth the extra cost.
Pros: Location, rooms, food and he staff were very polite....
Pros: The room was nice
Cons: The bath and shower had brown water I don’t know why
Pros: It is right on the beach with lovely seaside views. I liked the secure parking lot. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast and dinner service was remarkable. The bed linens were clean and comfortable with plenty of pillows.
Cons: The rooms were dingy, the carpet was filthy, the bathroom tub wasn’t clean, and there seemed to be a drain problem with the sink. I also noticed there was no leaflet that told you how to contact the front desk or reception.
Cons: The bar was closed too early in the evening.
With a stay at Hotel Royal Astrid in Ostend (Ostend City Centre), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Leopold II Statue. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 13 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was good with a lot of different things
Cons: Tram nearby
Cons: no cupboards in rooms or place for suitcases, no storage space in bathroom, work underway without notice, no choice of food in the evening restaurant
Pros: The spa was great
Cons: Dinner was only from 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Pros: There was no drinking water, not even in the pipe. May be have to change the matresse. May be old matresse already used much. Good reception. I will be happy to come again. Thank you.
Cons: To veryfy the matresse and to chang it if needed.
Pros: Sabrina was very good in entertaining us at the hotel
Cons: I don't like the receptionist on the 19th of feb morning 9:45 am, the old man, was trying to explain that everything was paid in full, receipt was enough as proof but he didn't listen, he should have checked it in the computer, i told him to call Sabrina for him to understand what happened but still insist on what's saying, However, the young man assisted us and understand. Our 1 hour time was wasted trying to explain everything.. Very Grumpy old man.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. This hotel has 7 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Rooms were a bit basic
Pros: The view The cleaning The service
Pros: Very good
Cons: The hotel itself is nice, the room are spacious, clean and nice. It would have been perfect if it was not for the contruction starting at 7:20-7:30. Also the non customer friendly employee who pick my call and told that in Belgium construction start at 7:30 and that I had to deal with it. Though the other employee I interacted with were all very nice and helpfull I surely didn't expect that from a 4 star hotel maybe starting work at 8 or 9am would be better...
Pros: Location and room are superb! Beachview awesome !
Cons: Pool was closedown Loud music at 8 o clock in the morning from neighbors
Pros: Nice room.
Pros: Amazing breakfast. Hotel just in front of the see in a street with lots of restaurants.
Cons: The sound isolation could have been beter.
Pros: Great breakfast! Great view from the 9th floor balcony!
Cons: Elevator to 9th floor didn't work. Toilet in the bathroom didn't work properly. Staff not particularly helpful. I expected more for these prices.

Cons: A Staff Leady drunk , rooms dirty, toilet with no flush -broken
Pros: It was a nice place,i visited many monuments and citys
Cons: Without WLAN and without TV,staff was always gone.
Pros: Great location for Dunkirk Ferry. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.
Pros: Nice continental breakfast, additional boiled eggs offered and provided. Pleasant breakfast room and quiet location. Thank you very much for your hospitality
Pros: The towels and the bottom sheet on the bed were clean and fresh.
Cons: It was dirty and very run down. There were dead insects on the carpet in our room which was in the attic at the top of a very steep and dark staircase. There was blood stains on the peeling wallpaper and the blinds at the windows were filthy. The shower temperature was fixed to lukewarm so you could not make it hotter or cooler, we were fortunate that we stayed during a heatwave, but if it had been a cold day it would have been freezing. There was no phone, no WiFi and no television. Before we arrived we got a text asking us to get there by 4pm at the latest as they wanted to go to the beach! The worst place we have ever stayed.
Pros: Easy to find in quiet stree
With a stay at Vayamundo Oostende in Ostend, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Ostend Beach and Wellington Racetrack. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The room bright, large and airy, even at the end of the complex partial seaviews ! Breakfast wonderful despite being very busy, staff cleared tables and immediately got us seated.
Cons: No ' do not disturb ' signs which meant several unwanted early knocks from the cleaning service.
Pros: The rooms are nice and very spacious, the bathroom and the beds are good, there is ample space to organise clothes. The hotel is located right in front of the beach and a tram stop, the Reception sells tram cards as tickets cannot be purchased onboard.
Cons: Besides the beach, there is absolutely nothing around the hotel, not one shop, not one restaurant. If you do not drive, you must take the tramway to the City Centre to find them. The hotel restaurants themselves are cafeterias, big rooms with no atmosphere. The wifi is inconsistent, and one of our rooms had zero connectivity, either wifi or 3-4G. Also, it would be nice to have an electric kettle in the rooms to boil water for tea or coffee.
Cons: The staying from 16.00 till 9.30 is not really 24 hours right ? As it has to be. The automats with sweets and water do take money BUT DONT give the bought products back. In the room was no fulfilled mini bar, like .. why? There were no sleepers and robes, no glasses in the room For this price - (it’s really high price) we were not satisfied
Pros: Close to beach and very quiet
A stay at Leopold Hotel Ostend places you in the heart of Ostend, within a 10-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Casino Kursaal. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice location, good bar at the entrance, I did not make use of it but the breakfast looked good! Nice friendly reception open h24.
Cons: When I checked in they told me I got upgraded to a "suite room" for free. Great right? But then I got in the room and it was very empty! Only two single beds and a chair, not even a desk that I actually had to make use of. It felt a bit odd.
Pros: It was a nice building but the room was not really like on the picture (especially the bathroom). For the rest, the decorations were well chosen, the breakfast was also really good (there were a lot of things that other hotel would not have...).... last but not least, the bed was really comfy’
Cons: The bathroom wasn’t like the picture on the website but that’s it !
Pros: at this corona times it was strange to see the cheese and ham wrapped in cling film, but it was welcome I suppose
Pros: The breakfast was excellent! Well organized and lots to choose from.
Cons: the parking is spooky. However it is located a few meters away
Pros: Lovely hotel for the money, feels like a rare find on the Belge coast which can be hit and miss. Breakfast really good and plentiful (not sure what options there would be for vegans tho - worth checking) - incl reeeeal fresh ground coffee in the machines. Great value for money for a Friday night in February - €90 for a double with breakfast included. We had booked a double bed in a certain level of comfort room, and when we checked in were told there were only twins available at that level - so we happily accepted a 'downgrade' to a smaller room that did have a double, and got a couple of free drinks and late check-in extended to 2pm to 'make up for it'. Very happy! We came from Brussels for the night mostly to enjoy the vegetarian burgers at Jilles just round the corner.
Cons: Recommend trying to get a room on a higher floor as the lower ones smelled a bit drainy.
Pros: Great breakfast, clean and big room!
With a stay at Hotel Bero, you'll be centrally located in Ostend, within a 5-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Ostend City Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The location itself , the great morning buffet , the pool and the children's playground are very nice if you travel with kids
Cons: The room we had was big and nice , however for the price paid some renovations would need to be done
Pros: Central Location.
Cons: Poor onsite parking
Cons: Breakfast not serving good food although staff service were excellent.
Pros: Clean, quiet, nice pool
Cons: Our room was in an old part of the hotel and could do with being refurbished to more modern standards.
Pros: Very nice breakfast. We only miss the fresh oranges.
Cons: There was too much chlore in the swimming pool - we only noticed that later on; really painful. The Belgian Coast becomes expensive (both hotels and restaurants). It will not be our destination next year.
Hotel Prado is in the heart of Ostend, within a 10-minute walk of Casino Kursaal and Ostend Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out.
Pros: Great location, nice staff, great room
Pros: Welcoming staff friendly atmosphere overall amazing
Cons: All over it
Pros: Very friendly staff, really enjoyed our 3 days in hotel prado
Pros: Staff were super friendly, helpful and gave my party tips on where to go out
Cons: Nothing, staff and hotel were great
Pros: the bathtub
Pros: Very central location, very clean rooms, friendly staff, fluent in english
Cons: - I booked a queen bed, but got two separate beds instead, there were no other rooms available when i asked to change. - Overpriced
With a stay at Hotel Excelsior in Middelkerke, you'll be by the sea, within a 15-minute drive of Ostend Beach and Middelkerke Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfast buffet offered a lot of choice. The staff was friendly. In the room, all the basics were present and OK. The bathroom was ok, making the best of its small space.
Cons: There was too much noise in the room from the elevator, people in the hallway, and even people in the room next door. This made it hard to sleep after 7:00. (I guess this kind of problem is hard to fix in a seventies building.) I could list a few smaller nitpicks, but no other negative point was important.
Pros: Great stay and great staff!
Pros: Brilliant breakfast lovely beach view
Cons: Beds tired and soft
Pros: Bed and pillows not the most comfy ones...
Cons: Great location, not far from Oostende, tram stop right outside. Very friendly service.
Cons: Hotel closed at 6 pm even though they have confirmed later check-in. It took 30 minutes call to abroad number to gen into already paid room. Lighting in the bathroom was not working, drain was not working, door handle kept coming off.... Terrible hotel On the breakfast there was spoiled ham which made me sick later!
Pros: I’ve been before but had a ground floor studio which was lovely. The room was clean and well stocked with towels, enough UK tv to keep up to date etc. Breakfast was good with nice outdoor seating. Well located tram stop right outside, plenty of restaurants and bars with a supermarket not too far away. Dog friendly
Cons: It’s not value for money. The lift is painfully slow and there’s no aircon. On entering the room the door banged the bathroom door and jammed. Pets in the breakfast room???? What’s that all about....
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and really friendly staff
Pros: Nice location, close to all amenities in town, with very friendly personnel, decent breakfast.
Cons: We asked for a double bed but still was two single beds. They told us that that could happen, but still, would have been nice. Rooms are not big.
Pros: Still my favourite Hotel in Middlekerke and surroundings. Great breakfast with a view on the ocean. If you like good service, this is the place for you. The staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing really...
With a stay at Hotel Albert 2 in Ostend (Ostend City Centre), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Wapenplein Square. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: Good breakfast, both continental & English
Pros: Breakfast was good Staff was friendly
Cons: Matrass was too soft The light in the room was pretty dark Toilet seat was not the right size for the toilet itself Showerhead did not fit in the holder anymore (probably because of a replaced nozzle)
Pros: Great location. Most comfortable for the 2 star hotel.
Pros: Great value for money in a superb central location.
Pros: Everything was very nice. For this price it was more than good. The room was clean, the breakfast was also good and the location is perfect, just above the shopping street.
Cons: The weather:)
Pros: Great location and very friendly staff.
With a stay at Avenue Beach Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Ostend, within a 5-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Leopold II Statue. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: Amazingly kind staff Blond lady is extremely sweet and helpful
Cons: Ventillation system of bathroom was dirty and ceiling of bathroom was destroyed, with mildew. (At some point understandable because of the climate of the area, but could be better maintained) room 32
Pros: Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and well placed. Large double bed is very compfortable.
Cons: We had some trouble with check-in. That was ok after all
Pros: Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and well placed. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
Cons: No kettle in the room.
Pros: Didn't eat the breakfast offered
Cons: Elevator could use some fine tuning in it's starts and stops! A very eccentric elevator.
With a stay at The Imperial Hotel in Ostend (Ostend City Centre), you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Casino Kursaal. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Good location. Old style plushness.
Cons: Unfriendly staff. Room dark and musty. Probably due to the Bordeaux walls that turned the small room rather claustrophobic.
Cons: Rooms were either too hot or too cold, no thermostat in the rooms. Mattresses need replacing as they’re sagging in the middle. The whole sleeping accommodations need refurbishment. Despite it being a no smoking hotel the rooms and corridors reeked and there were cigarette burns in the curtains. No showers just a shower head fastened to the wall down near the taps with no screen or curtain, couldn’t use it hand held without soaking the whole bathroom. Towels were the type that didn’t dry you. Lighting is poor in the bedrooms. Staff went into your room while you were at breakfast and still carried on as though you weren’t there when you got back. One of our group got back to her room to find the maid by the side of her bed barefoot and fastening up here trousers!! The bar is tiny (3 tables and 9 chairs) but despite this you are not allowed to take drinks to the pleasant lounge area - it gives the feel of running the hotel for their convenience not their paying customers. We were there for four nights and as the week went by there was less and less choice at breakfast and when we asked for natural yoghurt (usually in a big bowl) we were told no and pointed to the pots of jelly like fruit yoghurt. Several people had to ask for the juice, bread, croissant, coffee etc etc to be replenished. One of our group was (alone) in a single room that had an interconnecting (very badly fitting) door, besides the noise from the next room it made her feel very vulnerable. When we asked if she could move the staff weren’t very helpful and said there was no single room available and she would have to pay extra to go into a double, they only let her move to another single when we insisted. This was our 4th stay at this hotel and it has definitely gone down hill. We will not be back.
Pros: 24h reception, very good value
Cons: Difficult to communicatie through booking before arrival.
Pros: Good friendly staff
Cons: Lighting in room was not good and it was hot in the room had to open window but road was very noisy
Pros: Its a great location, and it has a certain charm, above all the gentleman at the reception was great without whom I would have missed an important meeting he arranged a backup taxi for one that failed to arrive.
Cons: The hotel could easily be better than it is and has some nice arquitectural features , the managment have this rather insulting Policy of handing out the TV remote controls at reception then apply a 25 euro fine to anyone who forgets to hand them back. Although the guy on the front desk was charming and clearly good at his job, it was clear his boss has a lot to learn about the customer facing service industry. Departing very early the kitchen was locked so it wasn't possible to get more than coffee, A more generous management spirit would do a lot to raise the profile of this hotel.
Pros: The room was beautiful, very comfortable bed. Very nice staff. Location perfect :one minute from the beach. Nice breakfast.
Cons: We knew there would be an extra fee for the dog, there always is but thought twenty five euro was a wee bit much. We don't mind paying for the dog but we wish the amount of extra costs would be mentioned when booking. The room was a bit cold.
This hotel is located a 2-minute walk from the beach of Oostende and surrounded by bars, restaurants and dance halls. De Haan is less than 20 minutes away by car. The non-smoking rooms have a private bathroom and are warmly decorated with red and purple colours. Hotel Sunlight has a new bar where you can order refreshing drinks. There are a large variety of restaurants and cafés right outside your door to eat lunch and dinner. The centre of historic Bruges is less than 30 minutes' drive from the hotel and you can reach the A10 motorway in a 10-minute drive. The Ostend-Bruges International Airport is an 8-minute drive away.
Pros: Perfect! This is a downtown all is near by! Price is very well and the staff solve all the problems! Hospitality is
Pros: Perfect location, good bed, very warm water, lots of storage space, friendly manager
Cons: No lift (complete new construction works, along with the corresponding noise, from 8 am), formidable stairs, no room service (on request only), the radiator just a mock-up, on each floor a different kind of obnoxious smell, as almost other guests (assembly men?) obviously thought that they had to slam the doors loudly each time - in order to close them, - altogether rather a makeshift than a runnig hotel. Or, as you like, a real adventure!
Pros: Loved everything
Pros: value for money, excellent location, ideal for a short basic stay
Cons: place could be a bit cleaner (floor)
Pros: Staff friendly
Cons: Got in the room and it was really small ! Went in bathroom and no where to hang towel but was did me was the shower was dirty and shower head broke so you would have had to hold it in your hand and wash with other . Had to wash over sink ! Not happy
Pros: Location is central to the sights of the city
Cons: There was no breakfast
With a stay at Hotel Du Parc in Ostend (Ostend City Centre), you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Ostend Beach and Grote Post Culture Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Good mattress
Cons: Old and not well maintained but all you need is available
Pros: The hotel is extremely well located, especially for those who visit the city during the Christmas Holidays.
Cons: The single bed was very narrow (I suppose 78cm), the spring mattress was too soft and noisy, so it was necessary to stay still so as not to fall, as the sides of the mattress were rounded. It was impracticable to let a small child sleep in it (mine is 4 yo) at the risk of falling and extremely uncomfortable for an adult.
Pros: Very good hotel the guy on reception went out of his way to help us due to the fact all the restaurants & bars were shut
Pros: Perfect location ... very close to the beach and the center.
Cons: Well used and old style facility, but clean. The room was too eary. The radiator heaters were very efficient!
Pros: Breakfast and location are both really good
Cons: The cleanliness in the bathroom and the slowness in getting hot water for a shower
