With a stay at Moontain Hostel in Oz, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 15-minute drive of Ecrins National Park and Les Grandes Rousses. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a library. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very comfortable bed, good shower and well appointed bathroom, stunning views from our room with large windows onto balconies (2), warm and clean. Plentiful breakfast until late morning. Very polite, hardworking and caring staff. Fire in dining area was lit for dinner, which was delicious (demi pension). Bar snacks also available for a more informal evening. Staff dealt very politely but effectively with a noisy, inconsiderate, large group of English guests with children.
Cons: Room was a little smaller than expected in terms of circulation around the bed. Melt water froze at night causing extensive black ice outside the Hostel, making access very precarious from ski room to the lift area nearby. Efforts were, however, made to tackle this. The problem was not easily solved, even with salt grit.
Pros: Bunks were very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. I liked the privacy of each bunk and the convenience of USB and power socket.
Pros: Staff were wonderful.
Cons: It was quite noisy you could hear the people outside talking and the door slamming every time someone entered .
Pros: The hotel manager and his staff just goes way and beyond. They all make you feel their hotel is your 2nd home. Also superb located to the ski slopes and lifts - can't get it any easier. I highly recommend this place. Thank you all for a superb week in the France Alps!
Cons: All was perfect!
Pros: Staff was extremely nice and helpful!
Pros: Very clean, the brickwork and ski door handles
Cons: Lack of jacuzzi and sauna. Also didn't have premier league football on tv. I am nitpicking here though
Pros: Very comfy hostel/hotel, brand new, clean and well furnished, close to the lifts of Oz.
Cons: Breakfast a little poor for the price, if you want a coffe from the coffe machine you have to pay 1,90€ extra out of 10,50€ of breakfast. Staff a bit absent and slow in changing empty plates with new ones. Nearby free parking are always full, it will be very useful have an agreement with the parking garage in order to save some money (10€ per day).
