Pros: Everything, from warm welcome, to beautiful and tasteful furnishings in our accommodation of sitting area, bedroom. View over ancient church which is surrounded by a moat. Perfect start to our tour of France, and first class breakfast too in court yard.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Pros: Everything was perfect, the staff very helpful, the breakfast perfect, all of this in a beautifully decorated ancient house of an old Burgundy village.
Pros: Beautiful courtyard and stunning room! We were upgraded to a suite as not busy
Cons: It was perfect
Pros: Accomodation was superb, large, beautiful period furnishings, King bed, individual duvets. Separate toilet, spacious bathroom with separate large shower. Croissants were large & extra flaky/delicious French breakfast with local jams & locally handmade cheeses. Jean-Luc extremely helpful with all information required. Outdoor courtyard was private & picturesque.
Cons: Nothing - Clos d‘ Argolay was perfect. We stayed 5 nights.
When you stay at Maison Doucet in Charolles, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Musée du Hiéron. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: Wonderful breakfasts. Fantastic food in the restaurant. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional. Our first bedroom was one without windows (in the 'across the road' part of the hotel) which I really didn't like but they changed that for us immediately.
Cons: I should have liked a lounge so there was somewhere outside the bedroom to relax and read.
Pros: The balance of the old and the new. The tasteful decor. The comfort of all the furniture especially the bed. The hotel felt loved and cared for like someone's home.
Pros: Excellent food, staff, and facilities. Good value for money.
Pros: A lovely place to stay to celebrate our anniversary with delightful, helpful staff. It was a lovely big, comfortable room and perfect for our little dog. Lots of little extras made it special.
Cons: Whilst the food was superb, it was a little pricey considering the choice of menu was rather limited.

Pros: nice bathroom and hotel location.
Cons: breakfast not worth the money, wifi working on and off..
Pros: The lady owner was excellent at her job, she was a really good people person, warmhearted and a perfect hostess. The whole place was immaCulate and very welcoming. Classy decor while being also a very tasteful mix of modern and traditional. There was nothing at all which we sid not appreciate, so will always recommend her.

Pros: Lovely village, room was clean and comfortable. Late breakfast times were favourable.

Pros: Welcoming generous hosts. Comfortable common area and bedroom.
Pros: Great hosts and scrumptious breakfast! Very calm and beautiful area!!
Pros: It is a beautiful property in a lovely location. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts absolutely charming. It was spotlessly clean and the bedroom fairly spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed having our meals in the pretty, little garden.
Cons: We did not expect to have to share the kitchen and dining room with another guest. There are two double bedrooms but the dining/sitting room and kitchen facilities were shared between the two. We choose self-catering because we like the space and facilities and also value our privacy. This arrangement didn't really work.
Pros: Very well-kept room in a beautifully restored outbuilding. Excellent (homemade and local products) breakfast in a cosy lounge inside the hostess' house. Very peacefully and stunning views, closeby a cute town.
Cons: The downstairs (shared) lobby is nice, but could use a little more 'comfort', e.g. a lounge chair or couch, and a second or larger diningtable for eating, playing games, reading. We were the only visitors but when the second room is also occupied, we could imagine you would look for a little more option/comfort downstairs. Lots of space though, so no problem there.
Pros: Good beds, wonderful food
Cons: Hopefully the swimming pool will be up and running next time when we come
Located in Charolles, La Berjotine is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Musée du Hiéron and Basilique du Sacre-Coeur.
Pros: Just the perfect location in the middle of the village. The prettiest house and the lovely lady owning the house. Just a dream stay. I shall come back !
Cons: did not want to leave the place :)
Pros: What a super welcome and friendly attention from the owner. The room was spotless and the breakfast was delicious. Helped with restaurant advice and booking. A wonderful overnight stop.
Cons: The only negative (which is understandable) is that the parking is on the street a few metres away. Its perfectly safe but if you are nervous or have the car packed with valuables you might be nervous. Great eating to be had in the town too.
Pros: A good location for a stop-over in Charolles, run by a friendly host. Good continental breakfast
Cons: You need to make your own bed if you stay more than one night and the room cleaning is therefore not on a daily basis. No air conditioning. A bit disappointing for the price paid.
Pros: Being able to walk around Charolles which was lovely. Hostess was lovely.
Cons: We did find it slightly difficult to know how to access the property when we first arrived.
Pros: Brigitte is an amazing hostess, we were delighted to meet with her and she made us feel like at home. Her house is beautifully decorated and attention has been given to small details. You can even view some interesting art from a local artist. We loved the traditional french breakfast with fresh home made products and our daughter was spoiled with a choice of her own. Don't think twice if you are looking for a place to stay in Charolles, La Berjotine is the place!
