everythings no complaints
The hotel is modern, luxurious and stylish. The rooms are terrific and the staff polite, helpful and courteous. Also a very secure underground car park. My wife and I stayed for one night only on a Sunday. Apparently on all Sundays in this hotel the bar and restaurant are closed. The only room service available was an expensive full meal. Luckily we managed to find a restaurant that was open in the square.
Excellent and very helpful hotel staff. Comfortable room, everything decorated with style
Friedly, knowledgeable staff and a beautiful, large, contemporary room in the heart of the town. Looked brand new. Free internet in rooms.
The volume of the piano in the dining area could be reduced
I was traveling with a male friend of mine and you had us booked in to a room with a double bed. The result was we had to pay significantly more to stay than we were expecting.
Extremely fancy hotel with very nice service and breakfast for an adequate room rate
It was very clean and modern. Parking charge in Hotel garage €13/day. Breakfast buffet was disappointing.
Room was excellent, clean & comfortable Staff clueless at reception, how do you get internet access ??
The price was very fair and we were treated well there, bar the breakfast. The breakfast certainly needs working on. They starting clearing away long before it was due to end (10.30 am) and the yellow mass that was the scrambled eggs was cold, as were the mini sausages etc. It seemed almost impossible to get hot coffee, the stuff that was in the thermos flasks was at best luke warm. The french coffee appears to be exceptionally strong, black as the ace of spades and no amount of milk was going to dilute that (no microwave around to reheat it once one had added half a jug of milk).
'Country' feeling, by a river, with great view of mountains - but actually only 2 minutes from the town center with restaurants, casino, and thermal spas. Only caveat is that you have to want to go to the town in the first place - it is an out-of-the-way picturesque thermal spa and ski center village in the mountains.
Decor tres fatigué. 3 etoiles limites.
The Foch is a perenial favourite with the Brit's who visit the midi Pyrenees- Extremely homely and relaxed. The decor is dated but that is part of the charm especially fro people who have fond memories of earlier visits.
Great central location
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff who spoke excellent English but who nevertheless indulged us in practicing our rudimentary French. A short stay, but very positive and trouble-free experience.
Good breakfast. I didn't feel it was a 3 star, more a 2 star. Decor awful (tastewise).
Very clean, comfortable and well equipped, easy parking, close to town centre .Comfortable bed with good bedding and an interesting themed decor.Lovely garden and courtyard for sitting out Very friendly and helpful owner, very good value for the cost. Would happily stay here again. Everything was perfect, so no, nothing to mention.
(1) The Hotel was not located in the centre of Tabes, like it stated on the little map. It's located almost outside of the city. (2) Staff spoke hardly any English. (3) And Poor public transport connections to the centre.
oui many dust on the tisseu of the bed.....
It was on our route, was comfortable and affordable. We had parking and it was ideal as a one night stop on route to our holiday destination. We thought the directions as to how to find the hotel were not that clear.
Other than pleasant staff doing their best in the circumstances, and an acceptable breakfast buffet there was nothing to commend this awful place! See above, filthy bathroom did not help!
Very clean room, well appointed, friendly staff, working wifi! The food in the hotel restaurant was bland.
Receptionist was informative. Secure parking is a good feature The plat du jour at dinner was poor. The waitress took far too long to take our order. It took far too long to even get a drink, about 30 minutes
The Hostellerie is charming, and the Lesponne valley is spectacular. Our room was in the main lodge, and was very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There were a few things that made it less than perfect, though. They keep horses and donkeys across the road from the lodge, and we had to keep our screen-less window open because of the heat, so we had lots of very annoying flies in the room all night long. We also were disturbed to see the young woman handling the horses and mules repeatedly hitting them -- hard and angrily -- and yelling at them. I work with horses and know this is bad human behaviour. It gave us a sour feeling about the place. The Hostellerie is a family place, so there are kids running around, yelling, screaming, doing kid things that, if you're there for a romantic get-away, would be disturbing, as well.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding was very clean and well presented. The surroundings / views were good It advertised a restuarant - which was necessary as it is remote but the restuarant is closed on Mondays therefore we were unable to eat that day - the room had such a low ceiling I had to crawl into bed and the shower and toilet was cramped and not well maintained
Friendly, attentive staff, good location
It was excellent value for money and I would stay there again
Great downtown location Old decor and furniture. Small room. Elevator does not stop at the level of all room. We had to move our heavy bags up and down half a level (very inconvenient).
The front desk person there during the days was helpful. He recommended restaurants, gave me directions, helped me with the telephone, and looked for local numbers. I'd recommend requesting a room not on the street. The noise from the street was loud. And I would have liked air-conditioning.
Clean. Good location Definitely not worth 3stars. Too shabby
Excellent location; simple, friendly place.
We give 10/10 each time we stay here (This was the fourth visit!). The courtyard at the rear of the hotel was in bloom, & all plants were in tip-top condition - obviously cared for - very nice to see!
close to centre of Tarbes Can be a little difficult to find
Well situated, friendly and helpful staff. Good value
Its location in the centre of the town, its proximity to easy parking and good restaurants, the friendly and helpful hotel manager.
The standard of the bedroom was reasonable, having been recently redecorated. The receptionist on arrival did not know how to operate the credit card machine. We therefore had to pay cash for the room.More importantly, we were kept awake all night by the noise from the disco next door and when we left the hotel at 7am to catch a train there were drunks lying in the street outside the hotel door
Big family rooms. Bathroom was to small and shower was in bad condition.rooms are very noisy .
to much noise during the night- dancing-disco's in the center until 6 .00
Nothing the rooms, location, parking, finding the hotel was impossible, staff was out of it.
location and friendliness of staff. antiquated plumbing
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good at a very reasonable price. The location is good for the mountains and the surrounding countryside.
The waiter/manager spoke good English and helped us with dinner
Clean but basic. Rooms too basic and not much room, especialy in the toilet/shower rooms. We were inconvenienced by our key fob not working one day and we had to phone for someone to let us into our room. We had to wait for around 30 minutes until they came out. The hotel is not manned 24/7 and this caused a problem at times if you wanted a drink etc.
Good location for visit to Lourdes and surrounding area. Small rooms but normal for Europe. Good restaurant at location with good prices.
Location just opposite to an construction area.
Well kept hotel -clean and tidy.Very good meal in resturant.
300 meters from highway exit, clean however small. Restaurant looked very good. We had a promotion price .
The staff was really very nice. We had a light dinner at the hotel that was actually pretty good. The rooms are quite nice and the place seems new. There was ample free parking on-site. It was a little out of the way and hard to find, but that was probably because the directions given on Booking.com are wrong.
Close to the road, very clean and neat, the staff very nice and friendly. Rooms, bath and WC too cramped, too small. With 2 persons and 2 pieces of luggage one could hardly move around the room. Ideal for 1 person. The facility could not be found by the navigation system.
Hotel was more spacious, and decor in restaurant and reception area was much better than others of comparable price. Room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. In spite of its very convenient location close to the motorway exit, the hotel was difficult to find by putting the address into my GPS. They have a huge advertising banner outside but the hotel's name is not very evident.
price small room
very clean and convenient location very very cramped space for breakfast in the morning
The hotel was clean but basic and staff friendly. The Wi Fi only works near the office and not in the rooms. Need to get a stronger router. You will need a car if staying here as it is on the edge of town.
The hotel was very clean.
For two people to stay for 36 Euros I think is extremely good value.
ease of use for the moterway ,ease of euse to find and staff very freindley no internet use which they used to be
easy from motorway
