Pros: The staff make this hotel exceptional. They are friendly, knowledgable, and focused on making your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet and evening happy hour were exceptional. You may think being a distance from Piazza San Marco is a negative. Just the opposite. The location is perfect. Away from the very crowded center yet close enough to easily (for Venice) get to all the must-see areas. Highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like.

Pros: the service was incredible. Patient, thoughtful and extended their help in every way. they go out of their way to serve you. No need to pre-plan events to attend, ( I went for carrnival), they will make suggestions and book events for you. I only tried this service once and regret not having made all of them with their help. The breakfast was extension, excellent pastries as well as ham, cheeses, cereals, eggs, etc.... Room was modest in size but skillfully and beautifully decorated. I will be returning
Pros: Staff was excellent, very solicitous. Rooms were Italian small, but nevertheless comfortable and efficient. Location was excellent, right on the Grand Canal, simply a 5-8 minute from the main bus terminal from the airport at Piazzele Roma. A great location to begin exploring the wonderful city. Could not have been happier.

Pros: Probably the closest 5 star hotel to St Mark's Square.
Cons: 1st night in hotel, shower did not drain and flooded the whole bathroom floor. Had to call for someone to come up and drain the shower. He ended up pulling out a big wad of hair the size of my fist.
Pros: Was great .great customer service ..
Pros: The Location is perfect. The staff was, for the most part amazing. The room was well appointed. The restaurants were definitely 5 star calibre
Cons: The concierge's were rude. They did not smile or even acknowledged me as I left and returned to the hotel. I was surprised, because when I stayed a the Metropole last year, this was not the case. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything
With sweeping views of the sparkling Venice lagoon, the Hotel Danieli enjoys a particularly majestic location—just steps from the legendary Palazzo Ducale, dramatic St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, and the famed Bridge of Sighs. From rooftop drinks at the Restaurant Terrazza Danieli, to indulgent In-room spa treatments; from privileged access to the beaches at Venice Lido to walking tours of the city’s sestieri, Hotel Danieli welcomes you to the delights of La Serenissima. Three palazzos, dating to the 14th century, house 210 guest rooms and suites, many with balconies overlooking the lagoon. The opulent décor of antiques, artful Murano glass, and exquisite tapestries evokes the city's rich cultural heritage.
Pros: Clean, quiet, and we'll run hotel in a great location.
Cons: Nothing to say.
Pros: This was our last booking on a three week trip and it is off the beaten path which is nice as there are WAY less tourists than in other parts of Venice, but it is still close to everything. The staff was amazing and the breakfast and afternoon happy hour was a treat. Our room looked beautiful.
Cons: While our room "looked" beautiful, it was anything but. The bed was possibly the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the pillows were like 2 inch foam. As is normal with old buildings in Venice, there is some settling but the floors in this room were drastically slanted.
Everything smelled of mildew which some say is typical for Venice but this was my third trip in a variety of old hotels in Venice and I have never smelled that before. Additionally, each room (living room and bed room) had a variety of electrical control panels on the walls that were ridiculously confusing, especially when you just want to turn off a lamp.
Right in the heart of « Cannaregio », in the Cà dOro quarter, one of the most important districts of Venice, the new UNA Hotel Venezia looks straight out onto the Rio Santo Sofia Canal. It is only 5 minutes on foot from the Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes from the magnificent Saint Marks Square. This stately building has been restored to its ancient splendor thanks to carefully thought out renovation, with emphasis on detail and furnishing. Special features are the Murano glass chandeliers which create a romantic atmosphere. UNA Hotel Venezia has 37 rooms which are elegantly furnished in a typically ornate Venetian style, and provide every possible comfort. You can enjoy elaborate cocktails and appetizing snacks in the American bar.
Pros: The staff and facilities were great. Food for breakfast also very good. The bar and restaurant are both very good!! Great service. Great quality. And ask for Vincenzo in the restaurant. He's awesome! He and all the staff work hard and together to make your experience special.
Pros: The perfect place to stay while visiting Venice! Close to everything, wonderful staff who went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We felt completely spoiled! Wonderfully romantic room and delicious breakfast in the morning...would definitely stay again!
Pros: Unusual. Helpful staff.
Cons: Wifi limited. Facilities need updating.
Pros: Location was absolutely perfect.
The restaurant staff were amazing!!!
Cons: However, I wasn't too pleased with much else considering how much I paid for the room.
The room key is unnecessarily large.
Pros: Incredibly helpful staff and speak quite good english. Very clean and interesting architecture. And Mirco in the bar makes a killer White Russian. Definitely recommend this place
Pros: Personnel très disponible, hôtel typique, spacieux, très confortable, proche de la place St Marco avec arrêt du vaporetto à 2 mn. Séjour super ! Je le recommande c'était GENIAL.
Historical building family run since 4 generations.
The hotel Saturnia is one of the very few of its category still family run since more than 100 years. Located in a very central area in Calle XXII Marzo, one of the most exclusive venetian streets, just 3 minutes walking distance from St. Mark's Square.
With 87 rooms on 4 floors, all with all modern comodites free WiFi access, very appreciated restaurant La Caravella and Bar.
The hotels has a very typical Venetian atmosphere, also thanks to local traditional hoteliers
Barely 10 minutes from Venice, the Park Hotel ai Pini is one of the hotels in Mestre that appeals to the most sophisticated of guests, be they tourists or business guests, combining all the benefits of an enjoyable stay with the advantage of being in a strategic location, within easy reach of all the major cities in the region.
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, like staying in a museum. Having breakfast surrounded by frescoes was a unique experience
Cons: I asked the front desk to help me book a train to Florence the night prior to checking out. They told me that they could not do this for me, but not to worry as the trains don't sell out anyway. Unfortunately when we showed up at the train station, the train to Florence we needed was sold out ruining our plans for the afternoon. I stayed in two other hotels on this stay in Italy and in both the staff booked train tickets for me
A unique location in the heart of Venice, a 5-star luxury hotel within a splendid 15th-century Venetian palace. Once the patrician residence of the noble Sagredo family, the palace still retains its historical and artistic beauty over five centuries later. Overlooking the Grand Canal, between Ca' D'Oro and the Rialto Bridge, Ca' Sagredo has been awarded museum and national monument status. A stay at the Ca' Sagredo is a truly unique experience.
Pros: The property is what one should expect from a HGI. There is a lounge area with outside seating. A pool, a restaurant with inside and outside seating. Hotel offers paid for buffet breakfast. Rooms are nice and beds comfortable. The best thing is the bus line to Venice (only 2 stops) is across the parking lot. Hotel offers bus and water bus (a necessity) tickets at the desk. Easy!! Less than 10 mins and you are at the start of Venice!! Half the price of any place in Venice and conveniently located!
Cons: Breakfast wasn't included.
Wifi is free but not on a secured channel
Cons: Left something behind and was told they did not have
Pros: Ease reaching from airport for late arrival or jet lagged traveler. Busy, so early check in, even for gold Honors members, seems rare, at least on weekend. Staff was pleasant. I liked that I could get bus/vaporetto pass there -- and recommend it since you'll need to travel by both to get into Venice. We had facility difficulties...the tea pot blew the lighting! They responded quickly and fixed the lights, ut never provided us with a working tea kettle. Also did not offer any reimbursement or accommodation. For anyone with mobility issues, know that returning from Venice on the bus lets you off across the street, where the only way to cross is a very high overpass with stairs. You can, however, request the hotel to send their van across the street to pick you up. WE found this out because we asked how to get across. Convenient to airport.
Cons: Having a meal in the restaurant....not bad, but p
Pros: Hotel is not ideally situated for walking to anything, but a bus stops right in front. Exceptionally clean with modern, beautiful rooms. Staff is very courteous and helpful for travelers in need of directions and help getting around. Highly recommended.
Pros: Location, parking, cleanliness, staff
Cons: Room temperature hard to adjust and works only when actually in the room. I know there are energy conservation laws but it detracts from the comfort

Cons: The staff was very rude. Not the standard for a 5 star hotel.
Pros: Location, location, location. Felt small & discreet.
Cons: I cannot fault it. (I did not have any meals there, however).
Pros: Great location, short walking distance from San Marco and nice shops and restaurants. Very close to the waterbus.
Very elegant, clean and breakfast was excellent. I will come back.
Cons: Everything was great
The Baglioni Hotel Luna is in the historical district of Venice, Italy. The hotel faces a small canal that leads to the Grand Canal. The Baglioni Hotel Luna is a 12th century hotel, reputed to be the 1st hotel in Venice. A 2-tier atrium overlooks San Giorgio Island and the Grand Canal. Artwork and furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries decorate the public areas of the hotel. Hotel amenities include free WiFi in public areas.
Canova restaurant serves Italian and Venetian specialties for lunches and dinners. The Marco Polo Room serves buffet breakfasts daily. Cafe Baglioni is the bar/lounge that is open mid-morning to late night and serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and cocktails.
The 91 guestrooms in the 5-story Baglioni Hotel Luna feature classic French decor and dark wood furniture. Room amenities include in-room safes, minibars, and turndown service. The ensuite marble bathrooms offer bathrobes, slippers, and heated towel rails. All rooms have WiFi.
Pros: Comfortable elegance at it's best. Warmest staff you will ever find anywhere in Venice. The staff could not do enough for us. Nothing was to much trouble. Spotless rooms, and nice views. The oriental bar is superb. We will always return to the Metropole when visiting Venice.
Cons: After 10 days leaving was very hard.
Pros: Fantastic staff, great location, cool hotel design and décor, great bar and food. Will definitely stay there again.
Hotel Metropole has a private landing stage for arrivals by water taxi. Guests can walk to the Bridge of Sighs and Piazza San Marco in 5 minutes, and cruise the canals from the nearby vaporetto stop. The narrow streets behind the hotel are lined with upscale boutiques and restaurants.
Residenza degli Angeli puts you in a great location, within just a 10-minute walk of Rialto Bridge and St. Mary of the Friars. Free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. Also, this bed & breakfast is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from St. Mark's Basilica and 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from Ca' Rezzonico.
Pros: The hotel is located right in the middle of the tourism.boat access was simple and walking along waterfront at night was delightful. Hotel room was small but upgraded bathrooms were clean and nice. Gym was high tech with treadmill bike and weights but many runners opt for the waterfront unless too late in the day and the crowds make it impossible to get around
Cons: Upgrade carpets and Bedspreads
tv had very spotty reception
Ac unit would click 3times and turn on
Pros: Location. View of rooms facing the canal.
Pros: It is a great place to stay because it is a stone throw away from St. Marks Square. The water bus that took us to the airport stopped right in front of the hotel, which made the it easy for us to travel to the airport with our big suitcases.
Pros: Beautiful old hotel. small rooms, but efficient and comfortable for 2 people. Great decorative touches in the room. Our room had views of the grand canal, with windows that could've opened for a fresh breeze off the water. Breakfast included in the price of stay, and was delicious, with many options on the buffet, fresh made cappuccinos, and views of the water. Extremely easy access to vaporetto, minutes walk from San Marco and many restaurants and shops. Very friendly English speaking staff
Cons: A con for some: we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to our room even after taking the elevator, which was fine for us, but may be problematic or some; the elevator was tiny, which seems fairly standard for Italy, but good to know. In general recommend packing light, no matter where you stay as navigating over bridges in the city can be challenging with big bags!
Pros: Location, super nice staff, new rooms.
Cons: For the price we were expecting a better view on the room. On the contrary we were situated on a back building
Pros: The location of the hotel was ideal. It is a very short walk to Piazza San Marco. The hotel is also right next to some water ferry stations, which makes transportation easy. The staff serving breakfast were great.
Cons: Air conditioner was not working.
Pros: Take a water taxi to Piazza San Marco and you are only a few steps to the hotel. The hotel included a free boat trip to Murano to see a glass blowing studio and they also offer a one-hour boat tour around town in the afternoon for only 25 Euros per person. A decent hot and cold breakfast buffet was provided by the restaurant out front. We also enjoyed a dinner of traditional Italian specialties at the same restaurant in the evening. Our room was an inside room, so our view was only the courtyard area - but that was okay because all we had to do was step out the front door of the hotel and we were in the heart of beautiful scenery. If you request a waterfront room you will have gorgeous views. Our room seemed to be recently updated because everything looked clean and brand new. The bathroom was small but very modern with a relatively large walk-in shower - and it also looked like it had been recently renovated. The hotel common areas were undergoing renovations during our stay, but it did not disturb our visit at all.
Cons: The hotel thought of everything - like a selection of soap products, hair dryer, mirrors, convenience packs, robes, etc., but it took up a great deal of space in an already tight bathroom.
Pros: My room was amazing
Bathroom was awesome
Cons: Loved everything. Really!
Cons: Very dirty furniture.
The Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is located in the historical center of Venice, a few minutes away from St. Mark Square, in a splendid position along Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Venice lagoon, from there it enjoys the unforgettable view of Saint Mark´s Basin and the St. George Island. Its position allows one to reach easily the Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo with some of the world´s finest shopping and to visit the Venetian palaces, museums and the art galleries, lesser-known Venice like the more fascinating and secluded as the Sestiere Castello. The high quality standards and services offered to our clients are complemented by a relaxed and a client-friendly ambience, set by the owners, and who offer also delightful accommodation. Everything makes the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda a really special place for lodging in Venice.
Pros: We loved the quant atmosphere of the hotel as well as the privacy we were given. It was in a great location to walk anywhere really in Venice. The service was excellent and helpful. The room was just the right size with a great view of a garden. We still had a Venice experience at an affordable cost.
Cons: The first night the room was very cold and the pillows aren't the most comfortable but they aren't the worst.
Pros: This is a charming old hotel that has been completely renovated. The
owner was charming and very helpful. Our upgraded room was particularly nice.
Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco are both within a memorable 7-minute stroll of this charming bed and breakfast. At the Piazza, guests can admire the shapely domes and gold mosaics of St. Mark’s basilica, whose present construction dates back to the late 11th century.
Cons: They came and cleaned the from but they decided not to leave some toilet paper. They room rate is $506.00per night but they can't leave any toilet paper. Go figure.
The Boscolo Venezia, Autograph Collection, housed in the old and prestigious Rizzo-Patarol noble palace, is an excellent location for completely immersing yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Venice. The hotel's XVII-century façade has a portal and loggia on overlapping levels and is hidden a secret garden, the only one to be found in a hotel in Venice, which is perfectly preserved and faces onto the lagoon. The Boscolo Venezia, Autograph Collection combines contemporary comfort with the ‘period luxury’ of the precious marble, splendid frescoes and Majestic chandeliers. Located in Sestiere Cannaregio, it is close to the center but at arm’s length from the more crowded thoroughfares, and thus, shows the true face of Venice and its inhabitants.
Air conditioning in larger rooms is poor. Breakfast selection is good. Other restaurant menu selection good. Fairly close to train station for travel to Venice.
Pros: Good breakfast selection Clean rooms
Cons: Restaurant staff put off by our desire for seat selection. Original room had poor air conditioning. Needed to change to a smaller room.
A great choice for a stay in Treviso, Hotel Maggior Consiglio features an airport shuttle (available on request) and a rooftop terrace. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and visit the spa to be pampered with massages, facials, or hydrotherapy. There's an indoor pool and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer minibars and room service.
Pros: The Service of the desk manager was outstanding
Pros: Easy to access train station. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Right off the Main Street so it was very noisy
Pros: Central Location
Very nice lobby
Cons: Bed was not comfortable
Very limited facilities
Pros: Location was great and Silvia and Patrick were amazing with our family. My wife has celiac and they accommodated her. Breakfast was amazing was a great experience and would love to recommend to anyone that is going.
Cons: Can't say a bad thing
Pros: breakfast was excellent, close to train station, close to canal, close to downtown, very nice, clean, comfortable
Cons: ask questions of desk staff acted like they really didn't have time to be bothered to answer my questions.
Pros: My son and I arrived earlier than check in, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful and let us leave our bags so we could go explore Venice. The person helping us even suggested a route on a map so we could avoid all the crowds due to the Festival of St Mark. Location was fantastic. Breakfast options were plentiful!
Pros: The hotel offers rooms that are comfortable and conveniently located. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part? Some of the rooms have bathtubs! After showering in the world's smallest showers across Italy, it was fantastic to be able to take a bath.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect for me.
Cons: We spend two nights in this hotel. The room was not clean and was very small and smelly. there was not even room for luggage in the room. The worst part was on the first night hotel fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate our room. There was only one staff working at night and he didn't know what was the issue and the alarm was on for the whole night. He couldn't confirm if it was a false alarm and we could go back to our room safely! so we had to stay up in hotel lobby for the whole night!!! What bothered me most was hotel manager didn't show up at all and he didn't even sent anyone to help that one staff. Even the next day when I ask to have a chat with hotel manager they said he doesn't have time for this and I can write a letter to him!!! They didn't give us any compensation for ruining our holiday and I found the manager very rude.
Pros: Style, comfort, service, breakfast, wi-fi. Nice fabrics cover room walls. All marble (walls and flooring) bathroom. Although room size was 14 x 11, it was very comfortable. Good quality beds, matress and linnings.
Cons: Only problem is bathroom with sewer smell, but this is a common issue in Venice.
Pros: The ambiance the location the price couldn't be better.
Pros: The location was great, and the staff was eager to please.
Cons: There were a lot of maintenence issues. When we got into our room, we noticed that the telephone, refrigerator and one of the wall lights did not work. The staff tried very hard to remedy the situation, but failed. To make up for the problem, they moved us into a new, larger suite. But after settling in to the new room, we found out that the air conditioner, and shower valve were not working. They had a plumber come in to fix the shower valve, but the air conditioner remained broken, and we were forced to open up some windows to get cool air into the room.
