10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for our stay.
Cons: Nothing really.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Stayed several times. Shower water temperature is very inconsistent. Price is a little high for the area, but no where else to stay that offers such a good location.
7.0 Good
Cons: Advertised free breakfast was packaged sweets and small boxes of cereal. Restaurant was closed due to the holiday.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: How nice and clean the hotel was. How spacious the rooms were.
Cons: The pool needed to be cleaner and the people from the bar were a little loud at night.

Pros: The breakfast and the pool
Cons: The pool hours weren’t open for my availability to use
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved how clean the hotel was. Staff was very friendly. The courtyard set up with game tables in the middle was very nice. Overall very nice hotel that exceeded my expectations. Great value.
9.3 Excellent

Cons: More fruit for breakfast, we are senior citizens, others may not have enjoyed fruit.

Cons: Beds too hard

Jenny Wiley State Resort Park - Prestonsburg - Building

8.9 Excellent (299 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Prestonsburg, Jenny Wiley State Resort Park is a 1-minute drive from Jenny Wiley State Resort Park and 8 minutes from StoneCrest Golf Course. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, the location was relaxing, and there was an excellent concert by Tim Michaels in the bar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful view, the outside flowers and blooming trees. Very relaxing
Cons: We love camping and would not camp at Jenny Wiley! Was not maintained very well, grass high in all areas except the lodge. Dewey Dam Park was beautiful. Needs to maintain better in the campgrounds, old School house area and dispose of the burned Boats at Marina. Those wrecked and burned boats are the first thing you see when you drive up to lodge! Very unappealing!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is beautiful; our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the deck that overlooked the lake.
Cons: We have stayed at several KY state parks over the years and always really enjoyed the food; this time is was good but not the excellent that I would have expected from past experience. Also the restaurant staff were not well informed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff at check in and check out. Good food, great friendly waitresses.
Cons: Ice machine was not working. Tried both days there and machine was not repaired.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I was originally checked into room 111. It had a wonderful view of the lake and was clean and well stocked. It did smell a little musty. I stayed a 2nd night because this lodge/park is so beautiful and relaxing, but I asked to be moved because there was a large family reunion and they were too rambunctious for me. Elizabeth was extremely helpful and understanding. I was moved to room 220. This room was much much nicer, closer to parking and TH. It didn't have a view of the lake, but the comfort was 100% better. Also, every single staff I encountered while walking my dogs took time to stop and love on them which made their stay even better.
Cons: Room 111 is musty smelling and you can hear everything from above and both sides.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is a pleasant, updated lodge on a dammed river. The rooms are cozy but updated. The main lodge was a modern, well-maintained facility. Staff were attentive. Overall this is a great place to unwind and have a casual rest. It's definitely geared primarily to support the marina. Great prices at Admiral Dewey's bar and grill—huge beer for just $5.
Cons: This park will win no awards for signage. We found the wreckage of one sign, and the trail was essentially unmarked, and there was precious little signage to indicate exactly where you were. Admiral Dewey's grill was perfectly pleasant, but under staffed, so it was good that we were resting and willing to spend a lot of time there just for simple drinks and bar food.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pretty view,comfortable beds
Cons: A little too expensive and cottages need to be updated
9.3 Excellent
Cons: The food in general was not good, and rather expensive. We stayed at the Park before at that time the food was great and not as expensive. Some of the food was dried out, the bacon for breakfast was old and tasted funny. We spoken with the manger. He said that they had notice a funny smell when they were perparing that morning. If it smelled funny at the time they were perparing it then why was it served. When dought throw it out.
4.0 Okay
Pros: terrible oats i ordered were cold when they came out by the time i got another order of oats half hour had passed there were only 3 people in the dining area all the help were sitt ing together eating and talking I LOVED THE MOUNTAINS AND BILLY RAYS RESAURANT IN PRESTONBURG IT WAS EXCELLENT
Cons: the tv in livinmg room did not work kept cutting out and run kept cutting out every 1-3 mins took day and half to get someone to supposedly fix ty we had a small tv in bed room that worked perfectly but i didnt spend money to stay in bedroom i could have stayed at home BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT this was supposedly a handicap cabin the shower chair was too big for bathtub making it wobble and it was unsafe for me and the best was the handheld shower hook you insert the handheld shower was way at the top making it impossible to uise because some one used grey duct tape to hold it up to the top shower my husband cut it off with his knife nothing i did or said 2 days in a row or the complaint i emailed to thebig wig at the park did not do anything they did not email me or call me i have waited almost 6 weeks i am new to ky and i had heard how nice the cabins were this was so pitiful i felt sorry for the park and wonder why they did not fix the shower instead of using duct tape i AM 75 AND VERY HANDICAPPED. please do something it makes you r booking company look very bad
7.5 Good
Pros: Location to our family was great, beautiful area.
Cons: We had two cabins. One was a two bedroom cabin on the loop. These cabins are on the side of a mountain with thick tree canopy so don’t plan to see the lake. Some with very steep long stairs, others with very little parking. Called to find out what amenities the kitchen was stocked with and was told they had a dishwasher, turned out they did not. Lady working the front desk was not able to describe Or provide a list of what kitchen essentials were available so we didn’t know what to pack. Kitchen was very small, only a 1 foot work surface and mini oven/ stove. No extra trash bags, almost empty bottle of dish soap. No extra blankets or pillows. Two bath towels in a two bedroom cabin. Room service consisted of someone pounding on our door asking us to hand them dirty towels. Screened in porch was nice but the door was mounted backwards so there’s no way of locking it. The balcony are was towards the road instead of lake side, seemed backwards. Duplex cabin was bigger, no screened in porch. They had a lot more kitchen essentials than the other cabin. No dishwasher and no screened in porch. Much nicer stove and more counter space. Biggest Recommendation: they need to provide more information about each cabin and what the amenities are so the guest can pack accordingly. Website does a horrible job describing the cabins. Ideally you should be able to download a list of kitchen essentials that are provided, see a picture of each cabin so you know how strenuous the climb up and down the stairs will be especially if traveling with elderly family members or young children. Second: Make sure each cabin is on your park map, it’s ridiculous that they don’t include the number of each and every cabin on the map and send you off with vague directions. Third: need fire pit for s’mores etc.

Pros: dirty towels in the bathroom, hard pillows and no sheet between the blanket and fitted sheet
Cons: dirty towels in the bathroom, hard pillows, and no sheet between the blanket and fitted sheet
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was pretty good, had biscuits and gravy one morning and eggs and sausage the other. Also, offered daily bagels, toast, muffins, danishes, and cereal. Apple juice, orange juice, milk and coffee. The room was basic, but very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. The hotel room was quiet. We did not spend much time in the hotel so it was a good fit.
Cons: I was a little concerned when we arrived at the hotel at 7pm and there was no one at the front desk to greet us. I tried calling the hotel from my phone and no one answered...after almost 10 minutes, my boyfriend was able to find the employee outside having a cigarette. A little irritating after driving in the car 9 1/2 hours, and wanting to relax but the rest of the stay was fine and the male employee in the mornings was super nice and accommodating. Wished there would have been a some kind of sitting area to sit in, but it is a smaller hotel.

Pros: comfort cleanliness courtesy
Cons: the only issue I had is the room wasn't cleaned one day I put out the clean the room sign because housekeeping came by before we left. management said if the sign is out they don't clean but they did so the day before. I think it was an over sight.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is was a very clean, comfortable stay. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and courteous.
Cons: This is location was a bit off the beaten path, but there are a few small restaurants and a Walmart close by. Mostly, the breakfast was quite disappointing. Nothing much to offer. Mostly cereals and toast/muffins.
