Pros: An amazing quirky house which was just charming as were the hosts. Very considerate owners who couldn’t do enough for you. Great facilities and very strong WiFi so I could receive messages or U.K. radio stations on my device. Exceptionally large rooms and bathroom decorated with lovely French antiques. Double glazing facilitated a quiet nights sleep even though our room was right on the village square. Breakfast was superbly fresh with home made produce and the little bar/restaurant opposite provided a much welcome light lunch and even served us after 2pm as we arrived very hungry after a long journey (quite rare in small rural villages in France)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dominique was an amazing host. She gave us a tour of her amazing property and told us about the history of the house which went back to the 14th century. We were amazed by how well she and her husband had transformed an ancient building into a modern and comfortable guesthouse with history preserved in its decor and furniture. She was very generous with breakfast which was excellent in quality and spread. A few varieties of artisanal bread, croissant, chocolate cookies, muesli, fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese, cold meats, honey, jam, green tea, and coffee. The property is located in the center of town; our room faced the center square yet it was very quiet at night probably because it was a Saturday night and the restaurant opposite was closed for business.
Cons: It was a very hot day and we had to open the window at night to sleep because there was no air-conditioning. Fortunately, the restaurant opposite the property was closed for business. I can't imagine what it would be like if it was opened that night which happened to be European Cup final - Tottenham vs Liverpool.
5.4 Okay
Cons: During the night, it was a little cold in the room. And not having a restaurant close by, it’s a big minus. Breakfast was ok, i would not give it more than a 5.

Pros: The attentiveness of the host was outstanding, with special attention to our 3 year old child. The accommodation is beautiful, and we enjoyed hearing about the renovation of the building, as well as the sharing of local knowledge via bilingualism from Dominique - which ensured our ongoing journey was seamfree; a perfect night's sleep in comfortable bed - with an outstanding breakfast prior to our departure also! Merci beacoup, Madame Dominique.

Pros: Dominique and her husband were so friendly that we felt right at home. Our bedroom had style and a very comfortable bed. Full of charm. The breakfast was so delicious ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for quietness, style and quality.
Cons: A personal note I would just add a door on toilet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic b&b with such a lovely host. The b&b was spotless, homely and beautifully decorated. We recently stayed with family and friends as we were attending a wedding nearby. Dominique helped to arrange taxis, brought out an iron and was just the perfect host. A beautiful garden and lovely terrace to enjoy. The breakfast was delightful - fresh bread and croissants each morning. Don’t hesitate in booking - you won’t be disappointed

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well, a totally unexpected surprise. This place is simply wonderful - a true oasis a few minutes from the motoway, and really just ideal. The owners have clearly made this place a labour of love in a restored farmhouse and barn, and they have done a magnificent job! The two pools are superbly done - one looks like a natural pool but is actually lined and filtered. The land was generous, and the hosts invited us to help ourselves to grapes, peaches and apples growing there. The room was large and well equipped. We had reservations about the pull-down bed, but frankly, it was extremely comfortable, and easy to manage. We both commented that this was amongst the best places we had stayed in a long tour of Italy and France. Excellent air conditioning - welcome - and a great shower and bathroom. It was quiet, and located close to some pretty towns and easy access to and from the motorway. Good, secure gated parking. Thoroughly recommended.
Cons: Nitpicking - but the air conditioning temperature light was too bright! That is all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very special and charming place to stay and enjoy a weekend. Rooms are very spacious and the area of the swimmingpool and garden very nice. I will surely come back.

There is an opportunity to cook for yourself. We were welcomed with a drink in the conservatory by the very friendly host and hostess. Pros: Everything - wonderful place to stay!

Pros: Amazing place to stay. We felt like part of the family as soon as we enter their home. Taking into consideration that the place is owned by the family since 1800, its in good preserved state. The atmosphere is indeed like the name: La Halte Du Temps! We enjoy the breakfast and offered diners for 3 days.... marvelous! Don’t hesitate to book and enjoy this place as much as we did!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with several choices for breads, cheeses, fruit and meats. Eggs are also offered. Coffee is French-pressed. This is an old house, part of it dating from before the French Revolution and the rest from not long afterwards. The same family has owned it for most or all of the time it's been standing...amazing! So, allowances should be made for the condition of the place and its furnishings. The rooms are decorated in the over-the-top fashion of the era. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. We did not need air-conditioning. Marie-Andrée is a charming hostess and is eager to please her guests. She speaks enough English that we could communicate with my very rudimentary French. She has a wealth of knowledge about the area. The town is quiet and easy to walk around with several restaurants nearby.
Cons: Parking is a bit of a challenge. We parked in the very narrow driveway off the street behind the gate. Since we were the only guests, it was OK. If more people are staying parking on the street nearby is available. There are cats on the property and in the lower level of the house...not a problem for us, but some people with allergies might object.

Pros: The decor and garden are so unusual in a very good way
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lovely owner is just so very warm and welcoming and the house/rooms are definitely quirky.

Pros: Basic but clean, the hotel was ideally placed close to the venue I was attending for an event. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent, with homemade salmon carpaccio and pear puree! The river location itself is looking a bit sorry for itself while they look to be bolstering a flood defence system but, with views to the mountains and the pretty town very close by that could be overlooked!

Cons: Everything
4.6 Okay
Pros: I am afraid this review is blighted by the horrendous experience we had with the owner. I had booked this for my friends, an active very pleasant older couple. On arrival they were harangued that two bookings had been made, they hadn't as we can prove. Please read below what we encountered. They said they had enjoyed dinner cooked by a lady and found other guests joining them at the table to be really interesting and nice. Less pleasant they said was the owner sitting back looking deshabillé with his shirt badly buttoned. Breakfast was all fine. This is a pretty old town, just note that access by car is tricky as the road climbs up through the old town and is very narrow as it winds up, but lovely old area. Excellent huge market in St Girons on Saturday.
Cons: My friends, who I had booked this stay for, had great difficulty in gaining entry and were eventually let in by a neighbour. They were then greeted by the owner, shirtless'. Not a pleasant, or encouraging welcome sight they said. They were then offered a choice of two rooms, one being his evidently, which they said smelt of large mountain dog. ( we love dogs as we have 4 I should say) He then protested to them and maintained he had made an extra booking for me, and as he was full, had made it elsewhere (really?) , all this due to my name simply being at the top of the booking.com account confirm. He wouldn't take no and the booking.com proof that he had made a mistake. It was my account but for one room which was in their name- this had worked perfectly the night before in St Girons. So there is, or should be no possible excuse for any mistake from experienced hoteliers. They agreed to leave it until we came to collect them in the morning. When we came to collect them, they had by then paid him in full for the room and dinner. He had they said asked for cash as he said 'his card machine wasn't working'. He then kept on about this other (non existent) booking. He then also wordy said it was for another two nights, totally bonkers. Waving random papers around which he really didn't want to show properly. I asked him to let me show him and I followed him upstairs to show him a)my email proof that it was one room for 2guests for 1 night and supposedly for him b)to show me his paperwork. Upstairs Clearly he didn't have it, nor would he look at my booking.com confirm. When I very calmly ( he was shouting loudly at me by now) said he had made mistake, he told me to 'get out' and then went for me, and thumped me hard on my right shoulder. ( I am a mid 60's lady) horrified and frightened with the steep staircase right behind me, I told him to 'stand back and not to touch me'.

Pros: Interesting hosts and guests! Totally charming.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: this is a very special place. A very old villa walled in with tiny pathways in an old medievel town.We arrived with the help of a lovely lady who lived nearby and were welcomed in. Belle the white mountain dog fitted in so well and welcomed us. The room ( we were given a choice) had a very comfortable double bed and a stylish bath and sitting area with ancient window looking over the roofs. But the best of all was the pool boy did i love it so hot and humid and then a dip perfect. we eat in a nearby town and found by accident a trad french resturant great meal and creme caramel. Breakfast excellent all guests at big table with our host in full flow such fun well done all Some clever touches the old door had an electronic key to open an close it very clever I did not bother with the wi fi The guide to the house in the room ( in english) was great and made me courious .
Cons: as mentioned in other reviews it is difficult to find I could not believe that the road could take a car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful! Great pool area and very lovely and peaceful. Lovely mountain dog in residence!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Shower
Cons: Breakfast was left overs from other guests. The table was dirty with crumbs and left over food. Previous guests had taken most of the bread and croissants. Staff made no effort to clean the table or offer fresh food. Had to ask for milk and fresh coffee. Hotel is very quirky which is OK but gave the impression of being dirty but it is a very old building. Also access is difficult through the narrow winding streets. Not sure if we expected to much but our room wasn't cleaned or made up for our second night.
