The area and the surroundings were awesome. Very much love in rustic-Style details. If you have a chance to stay here prefer staying in the cabins not in the house. Food is simple but tasty. Staff is nice.
Jungle, pool, cabanas all good
Shame that the bikes were broken, it’s a bit isolated
The location is great as well as the surrounding nature and animals: horses, dogs and iguanas. We wish we had known there were horses just behind our cabaña.
We wish we had had some more contact with the staff. Unfortunately, the Lady who owns the place was Not there when we arrived as She is definitely the Most welcoming person of the guesthouse. Also, we left our towels on the floor to be changed as they were dirty, but they were put back by the staff.
The location is inside a road that is no paved so buses don’t even go inside and taxis get too expensive to take that road. 2nd, I checked in at 5pm and The electricity went off at 7pm and didn’t come back up until I checked out the next day, We stayed in the dark the whole night, No Fan, no bathrooms, its a terrible experience and the management didn’t care at all, neither they offered anything to apologize for the inconvenience, the hotel is isolated so there are no restaurants close by so you are kind of enforced to by from them and their prices are so high. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Loved the homemade bread for breakfast was delicious! And the location so peaceful and relaxing being surrounded by nature
Offering extensive gardens with an outdoor pool, this family-run farm is set in the jungle just 4 km from the stunning Mayan temples of Palenque National Park. El Colombre is 4 km from Palenque town. The charming cottages offer rustic décor with palapa-style roofs. Each one includes a desk, fan, mosquito net and a private bathroom with a shower. El Colombre's restaurant serves natural homemade meals, made with organic ingredients whenever possible. You can help to collect eggs from the chickens, make cheese or pick vegetables from the garden. You can also find local restaurants in Palenque town. Activities such as yoga lessons and meditation can be arranged at El Colombre. Guests can relax in hammocks next to the pool, or borrow a bicycle to explore the surrounding area. Staff are happy to give recommendations on what to see and do in the surrounding area. The bus station is 20 minutes’ drive away, while Villahermosa International Airport is 2 hours’ drive away.
