Beautiful surrounding gardens and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Noise level, from nearby pubs on the weekend, could hear the bands playing, people going past drunk. Road sweepers every night and lots of traffic noise very early in the morning.
The pool was kids under 2 friendly Only having a breakfast restaurant made it a little hard but there is plenty of places just a short walk away.
The villas were excellent and the provision of an electric bbq on the balcony was a welcome addition. the pool was a welcome respite - overall the facilities were great
the room was spacous, the staff were excellent the private spa was not privatecould of had a few more facilitys i.e a games room, inhouse meals and the wifi did not work and tv recepoit was very poor
The staff was very friendly and helpful, The microwave oven, sink and crockery came very handy. The room was cleaned and serviced daily which was a nice gesture. The Resort is in a TOP spot, walking distance to shops, the 'Wave Pool', Restaurants and so on. I would recommend this place to anyone. The Duplex Villa is a bit small, but the verandah made up for lack of space inside. The room could have done with an extra wicker chair instead of only one and maybe a small round table.
Very friendly and nice staff. Nice pool area with palms and deckchairs. Nice facilities (laundry, etc.( We wrote an extra complaint already. We stayed three nights at the Palms City. Two of them were fine. The last one unfortunately a nightmare. We were hunting 20 - 30 bugs all night long and couldn't get to sleep because it was really discusting and disrupting. When we used the insects spray, it even got worse and we had an invasion of bugs coming out from the corners of the room and from under the bed. Please see our complaint form we filled in at check-out. We would expect a refund for the last night!
The rooms where quiet cosy had a nice pool and the staff where very helpful There wasnt anything I did'nt like about this Resort
Nice quiet and convenient location. A lovely sheltered pool for a refreshing swim in lovely surrounds. A little compact but larger units were available if preferred.
The proximity of the hotel to points of interest within Darwin City was excellent. It is also good value considering it's location.
I loved the location,so close to everything,friendly staff,comfortable room,lovely pool area.
Nil restaurant even though it was advertised. Not enough storage place for clothes in the room. No lift to other floors. I would not recommend it as a first choice, no reception after 19:00hrs until 07:00hrs
location and clean very basic and reception and pool closed at 7pm
Location of the hotel was good as it wasn't in the city and as such there was very little noise. The rooms have been recently renovated and the bathroom was very functional. As it is a very hot climate the sheets were only changed every 4 days. Also the cups needed to be washed up by us. No washing liquid was provided. The person on the front desk should have advised this on check in.
Walking distance to city centre & casino & markets - nice & central. Storing our luggage during day was also appreciated
Close to venue where Powderfinger performed.
Excellent staff, very helpful The air-conditioning is slightly loud
The location is good. Sheets were dirty. Room not cleaned adequately. Noise level is ok. Toilets need a more thorough scrub. Fridge needs to be cleaned and disinfected. I do not like dirty hotels with dirty sheets that have not been changed. I truly have the need
The location. Very basic.
Location, in the very centre of the city, close to the sea Loud location (especially on Satturday nights)
all of that is ok
i liked the facilities provided next door at m.o.m bed bugs....and having to check in and check out at a different establishment..but no big deal
I have used the place for 17 years. It is very basic. just a clean room with a single and a double bed, a table, chair and a TV. simple shower facility. No telephone. it has a great Cole supermarket across the street and all kinds of bars, coffee shop s, internet cafe and travel offices within a few steps. Oh...yes there is a swiming pool. there is a parking for guests cars. Nothing wasted like a fancy lobby.....the staff is friendly
no I left after 2 nights as the noise from the street and people smoking uotside my room ans talking on mobile phones was intoliable after the 2 nd night. noise and smokers outside my room on the ground floor rm 7
Generally clean, cheap and convenient. A very noisy room-doors slamming all night, loud nasty people coming and going till 3 a.m. Wouldn't stay there again.
The hotel was good to stay in especially close to the city and all amenities.
the convenience of my on site hire car and right in the hub of the city
Tiny room not enough room to swing a cat. Stinky smell in the room. Noisy from night life and garbage collections. Over priced. Turned off my card with out checking if I was still moving out.
The motel looked like a hole-in-the-wall, but it had its own charm. Located on a major artery into Darwin, it was convenient to many of the tourist attractions of the city provided you have a car. It also had a small restaurant that was a nice amenity. The full breakfast was only 10 AUD, which I thought a great bargain, and dinner was 22-26 AUD. We were able to do laundry, or the staff would do it for you for a nominal fee. I'd happily stay again. I had no complaints. The motel is a budget place and was not as comfortable as a more expensive place, but I was very happy overall.
