The surrounding and pool were amazing. Shower in the room was the best after a long night. Do not get room service, food was burnt and not good and extremely expensive.
Comfort and Location. Someone to carry my luggage, and need to pay room internet.
Thank you for the free Wi-Fi since I was only staying one night. That helped me prepare for my interview day in Palo Alto. I also appreciated being on the top floor so it was quiet and easy to fall asleep. Thanks to the check-out staff for the complimentary bottled water; it helped me arrive at my interview alert and with a clear voice.
Large room, nice bed. Low water pressure, not value for money. Old facilities, currently undeconstruction for remodeling.
Bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms need remodeling. The cost per night is ridiculous. The TV reception often disappeared for a few moments. The train noise was still quite loud even with the double windows.
We liked : Vicinity to the University, the clean room, the prompt service when we asked for an additional towel. We didn't liked the breakfast at the hotel. The coffee was "cold" at every refill. The menu "a la carte" was poor and way too expensive!
close vicinity to downtown Palo Alto and friendly staff. Not many other full service hotels around that are sub-$300. loud heaters, weird/dated setup of rooms, loud CalTrain station directly behind hotel.
cleanness and room service some rooms too noisy
all was wonderful.
Nice beds - All the usual stuff you get with a Sheraton. Nice pool. Great chill out area around the pool. I got a room overlooking the railway. I was told the trains stopped at 11pm - They don'T. Still, good sound proffing helps. You can also hear the other rooms bathroom activities. Alo be aware of the $10 a day parking charge. Crazy as the people who visited me got a stamp from the hotel and paid nothing!
Early checking was great. Good bed. Good shower. Close to transport and shopping! Very noisy rooms. You can hear every toilet flush, shower and tap in all rooms above, below and beside yours! Not great when trying to sleep.
I took my daughter to visit the Stanford campus. The hotel location was convenient, the staff were friendly, room service was prompt, food was great. The bathroom was modern, clean, and well lit. They charge extra for parking.
the hotel room was very clean the hotel was over priced, the staff was not well-trained, compare to the westin hotels in other countries. the room was comfortable, but the hotel's other services are not too impressive considering the money i paid.
Comfortable hotel and great staff service.
The bed was very comfortable. They had my booking as one night and I had booked for two nights. Luckily, I had my printout from bookings.com but there is some probably between your systems. It was well handled by the front desk.
Close proximity to Stanford University. Excellent big bathroom with an excellent shower separate from the bath tub. Very good exercise room. Very comfortable bed. Price. Additional charge for internet. Unusually poor information provided in the room concerning such things as available television channels and fees for using the telephone. Lack of seating other than the desk chair. Too much noise from hallway--door to short--perhaps from a day when the carpets were thicker.
The bed!! The Menu and In-Room movie feature on the TV was not working ... a very very big disappointment!!! I stayed with my adult daughter and it was a luxurious one-night "get-away" for us (a dr. appt at Stanford) and we were looking forward to watching a movie together. I know that sounds unimportant, but my daughter has four kids and this was really a one-night treat for us!! Front desk staff did not seem too concerned.
The Peninsula Creamery is across the street and The Old Pro is a 1 minute walk away. You couldn't be more central to downtown PA. 1 elevator, but its large because this used to be an old age condo building so they needed to cart the sick and the dead out in stretchers.
Interesting design N/A
It is a beautiful hotel with the perfect setting. I made the reservation on your website which was an excellent experience. I did not appreciate the sales manager calling me and threatening to cancel my 2 reservations if I did not pay for both rooms up front 30 days ahead of time. I was totally aware that it was Stanford's graduation weekend which is why I made the reservations to begin with.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is excellent.
Very good, downtown location. You can take your breakfast away. And one wall in a room is a whiteboard and you can write on it. Free internet access (slow sometimes). Very small room with no sunlight - another wall is 1.5 meters from a window. Very small breakfast area with simple breakfast - suitable for short, 2-3 days stays. On street parking - possibility to park only for 2 hours between 8AM-5PM (nights ok, however some hassle needed to find a parking space).
Great little hotel with highly efficient room design and great broadband. Ideal for business. Hotel needs to organise parking and/or better educate guests - I got 2 tickets.
Robes are great and one of the wall is a white board! breakfast room too small
no nonsense straight forward friendly service, great location a ironing board and a hot water coffee and tea service in the room will be of great help
The whole concept of the hotel - simple yet good. The staff - the modern thinking - the location. I liked everything - would stay there again. Already recommended it to my friends in the area.
Great ambiance, great staff, lovely history. The hotel may not be for everyone -- if you like a modern experience ,not for you. Stay away, please, from my favorite hotel.
It's right in the center of everything I just walk to Stanford, restaurant's, etc. You get some noice early morning trash collection and late at night people walk-in from bars, but they do offer ear plug
Location was great in the center of downtown Palo Alto. Cool old elevator. Very affordable. It was very loud at night from some of the nearby bars, though it seemed to quiet down after midnight. The shared bathrooms and showers were a bit of a hassle, but we never had to wait to use one.
