great food and beautiful greenery around the resort bad smellls from the drains, lack of well trained staff in the spa and general areas.
relaxing ,peacefull, meals too much expensive,
If you like a smart hotel in a rural non-resort location this is for you. High standard of accommodation and services. Food excellent though the advertised half board for 20 euros was not available. 3 course a la carte dinner is about 40 euros without drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. The hotel had opened a few days before my arrival after extensive refurbishment. Building work was mostly finished but electrical and landscaping/gardening work was ongoing (though not too disruptive). Difficult to find in the dark after late evening flight since hotel sign not yet erected (It is just before Miliou after turning off main road b7) Wifi works in main building but not in garden bungalows. A wired network point was installed during my stay but no network cable was provided. There was no safe in the room and no minibar. Rooms sparsely furnished (minimalist?) with no chairs in bedroom or at desk in lounge, no pictures on walls. It is not clear why this is an adults-only hotel and yet its advertised facilities include children's pool and children's play area. There is an undeveloped adjacent building site which is not very scenic at the moment.
This hotel is truly exceptional. The premises (stone built) were previously used as a monastery and were recently restored. The final result is outstanding and very romantic! The food is scrumptious and its resident spa treatments are really amazing. One suggestion: book your spa treatments prior to your stay otherwise you run the risk on not being able to have them during your visit. Apart from the fact that it is a bit pricey, there were no bad points. But, hey, we all deserve to treat ourselves once in a while....
Nice location, very warm hospitality The gym was not available, the internet connection was not working properly
The rooms were very tidy and breakfast was excellent There were a lot of bees in the pool area. Not very good if you are allergic to bee stings. Other than that, everything was as promised.
The location is suggestive, and the hotel construction is perfectly integrated in the landscape. A mix of modern, design, rustic, stony cottage. The dinner at the hotel was delightful but it costed exactly as one night in a double room with breakfast.
It was very quiet. You can go there and you can rest. I think that the prices in the restaurant are high. Although the food was excellent.
the cleaning of the room, the staff was very helpful. the breakfast was very good.
the food was excellent, compliments to the chef, location and the relaxing and friendly/relaxed but efficient atmosphere
Hotels design is beutifull, hotel's view is amazing, cervice is good, hotel is very clean. spa is dissapointing cause no one uses it. hotel prices are very high, and price isn't including full bord or. At the same price there are other clubs at the same level of service.
Location, facilities(including spa), staff and food are superb.
Food and mr vladimir who eliminated my back pain They promised a table at pelagos restaurant but they gave it to others, who came 5 minutes before we finish our dinner
Excellent Staff, Very clean , Very calm , everything very organised. I have traveled around the world and this is the only hotel I stayed and I feel that it was really worth it. Congrats to all the people at Anassa Hotel.
Friently owners, nice location of swimming pool, cheap food, cold beer.
Good location. It is necessary to pay for conditioner use. A room wasn't ready when we have arrived at 2 o'clock PM. We were four persons, and soap have given only for 2 persons.
Hosts were fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. Good clean rooms. Had a great break away, will be back
very friendly staff, adequate breakfast, basic facilities -but overall very good value for money.
the friendlyness of the people no
The large room, and the peace and quietness of Polis.
For a single occupant the size of the room was fantastic! I also loved watching the setting sun reflecting on the mountains on the evnings and the early morning view of the sea. Lovely! Early morning (about 5 a.m. or so) the nearby church bells were quite loud and woke me up (to see the sun rising!) almost every morning. Then again it was good to be up early, ready for another day of exploring the beautiful surroundings of Polis.
spacious room, quiet location, helpful owner breakfast is not impressive.
We had a wonderful four days at the Mariela Hotel in Polis. The owners were friendly and helpful and the rooms spacious and clean. We loved the view and enjoyed being in Polis. We will definitely be going back and would recommend the hotel.
We were fascinated of how good the room was. I might say that it was better that other 4 star hotels we visited previously. I think it suits families with 1-2 children for short or long stay. There is sea and mountains in same place and we will definetelly come back there.
The journey up through the mountains was spectacular, the local buses we used were interesting, the welcome at the hotel could not have been better, the manageress was a really likeable character who looked after us like an old fashioned grandmother. One night we joined some of the staff, locals and other guests around the large log fire, talking in three languages and supping local beer. Magic.
