Great location for heading out into the mountains and hiking. Luxurious complex and sizeable spa. Good for walking and chilling out Feels like an enormous white elephant in the mountains - I'm assuming its sometimes busier than it was in June. Also its about 10km up the road from Panticosa - so not really anywhere else to go once you are there - I dont think I'd recommend it for more than 2 nights...
The buffet breakfast was delicious and very expansive.
Spa facility Restaurant
Termal SPA pools, hotel rooms very comfortable, situation of the hotel, outsides. poor service support upon arrival when i was just 3km from the hotel, 9PM, stucked in the snow and the kind of support and help from the hotel was very rude
Room was very comfortable and nicely designed. Proximity to two good ski stations, Formigal and Panticosa. The spa is also good for relaxing at the end of the day. No written information about hotel services and facilities in the room (telephone numbers, laundry service, spa opening times and tariffs, forfaits for nearby ski stations). We had to ask everything at the reception and the staff did not always have the necessary information. The brasserie menu was not very good.
The rooms where nice but not worth all the other hassel The service was bad and the place is quite inhospitable
Everything was nice. I will definitly come back
Food Family unfriendly services and restaurant staff. False advertising of facilities, e.g. other hotel and restaurants in resort not open. Casino not open.
Very comfortable and good sized room and bath room. Excellent dinner & breakfast with very good staff. Good location. Excellent stop en route Spain to UK.
The room, facilities, breakfast was wonderfull!
Location and facilities
Out of season, the hotel was quiet but the few staff were very good - friendly but polite and eager to help us enjoy our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The food in the restaurant was very good and better than expected.
Wonderful location, fantastic dinner with many choices, pool and sauna excellent. It was hard to leave.
the staff were really helpful, the food was good, and the pool although a little bit small was an added bonus. the fact that although i had booked months in advance we still could not get a room with a view
Friendliness and flexibility of staff
Enjoyed the proximity to the ski slopes and the transport facilities. The breakfast and dinner were good and the unlimited hot water was essential. Nothing was bad about the hotel, perhaps it lacks the charm of other mountain hotels.
just about everything else. two single beds shoved together as a king
No character. Room smelled of disinfectant.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant not too bad, service was interesting and helpful, probably not really up to a 'premium' offering although did try hard. We were in the most premium room they had, nothing else was available. Suite had only a small window that looked out into a backyard, (this is in the Pyrenees!). Room very cold on arrival, took a day to get it right. No hot water, took two days to get it right. Bathroom was in cellar below suite. Although very large, it was damp, the drain in the shower was blocked, water flowed on to floor, no light above bath though water cold in any case so unlikely to spend much time in it. All in all they had not worked out what is meant by 'premium/luxury', instead there was obvious size but little satisfaction and not much they could do about it because of poor design and materials (bathroom). Bedroom was ok, not really as big as it should have been for a suite.
Very peaceful, romantic. Everything was excellent.
excellent setting, perfect styling, facilities, breakfast and rooms service diner staff poor, q diner very poor / all food over coked
Very obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner disappointing, with service too slow, considering the restaurant was not busy.
Every thing!!! Excellent is a small word for this hotel. Excellent Excellent and Excellent .
Pleasant place. Nothing to complain about. Hot tub was great Breakfast was from 8 am, we went at 8.15 and door was still locked. They opened up but a lot of things were not put out ready for breakfast but were brought out later.
The service in the restaurant was particularly good, and the staff could speak some English. the staff generally were very polite and helpful. the hotel was well decorated and clean.
Friendliness of staff and presentation of facilities None
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely views of the village. Everything within walking distance and a bus to the ski reosrts.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room in a considerably new building. Excellent location to get to the slopes of Formigal. Overall, good value for money.
Friendly staff fantastic views Restaurant not open for dinner
very friendly family run hotel with plesant helpful staff. The bar made a excellant gin & tonic!
The atmosphere was very familiar and very nice. The hotel staff is very kind and it made for a very nice weekend The rooms are a bit old and too small
Ski hotel Good value in summer Breakfast excellant
The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location was very inspiring, and the food was also another great point!
A very comfortable hotel with good facilities. The buffet style breakfast and dinner were excellent.
All staff spoke English well. Food good. Beautiful scenery.
Hotel in excellent position with stunning views. Food left much to be desired! No english spoken even by receptionists. Formigal dead in summer probably best for overnight stop.
I agree that buffet breakfast is one of the best in Spain. Rooms also perfect.
The system for keeping food hot in the buffet restaurant doesn't work very well so all the food was tepid. I thought the spa facilities were very expensive for what they were.
Our room had amazing views of the formigal ski resort. The room itself was large, clean and well appointed as was the bathroom. This was an off season stay and as such it was incredibly good value. Overall a very nice hotel and would love to go back in ski season. There was no aircon in the room which was a little uncomfortable in summer but obviously would not be a problem in winter. Also, did not get wifi reception in the rooms but was able to get online in the bar/cafe area.
Beautiful setting. Good facilities in town. Room great especially bathroom. Free delicious cocktail which we drank on the wonderful terrace overlooking the ski slopes. Excellent breakfast included in bargain price. Nowher near enogh staff at breakfast leading to ridiculous queues as tables not cleared and reset. Our room was right at the end of a corridor with no view at all
Excellent buffet breakfast, great views A pity that one had to pay for the leisure facilities. Confusion over the free drink in the bar - there was one specfic cocktail that was free - unable to substitute this for any other drink, even a non alcoholic one.
Location is great if you want to visit the mountains.Great breakfast and dinner, a family run basic, one star hotel.. Everything is a bit old and dirty we paid 70€ per night, this is quiet expensive for what they offer, it is not worthed more than 40€..
We had dinner in the restaurant which was good as was the breakfast. The car park was a little on the small side and we had a real struggle parking the car. We did not want to use the public car park and the car was fully loaded. Our room was really tiny as was the bathroom.
Bike friendly with off street parking and english speaking staff, located in village centre near bars and resturants. Our room had stunning views of the nearby mountains. The Hotel resturant served excellent dinners. We dont understand why this hotel only has one star!
The location is absolutely beautiful and the view from our rooms and from the dining room was outstanding. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff were as helpful and courteous as possible but it helps if you can understand a little Spanish. We only stayed one night when touring the Pyrenees but we would definitely return. The tiny resort was very quiet which was no problem for us but it's probably more lively in the ski season. There's nothing we didn't like.
friendly family hotel with wonderful location and views rather small bathroom
Fantastic location, very friendly, brilliant food and the best gin and tonics in spain. Please write at least 15 words
we liked Tonio! we liked the restaurant, the room, the location of the hotel, the view, all!
Very nice hotel set in beautiful mountainous scenery. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. Would recommend it to others.
Incredible location, well looked after by the staff of this family run hotel.
Location location location :) Room was quite large and hotel was beautiful. Amazing value for money. It's a long way to come from Australia but well worth it. Sometimes the front desk was very busy, maybe more staff there needed.
Too expensive for what you get
Great location and free, convenient transportation to the ski resort. Large comfortable lobby and a fairly friendly and helpful staff. The outside noise throughout the night was terrible. Very loud partying all night, every night. Loud singing, yelling, chanting, honking car horns from 23:30 until 5:30 during 3 of the four nights. The fourth night (Sunday) was just plain noisy and not outrageous like the other nights. The bathroom shower head was not affixed to the stem. The food was not good.
Very noisy small rooms not worth the money I paid. Couldn't even provide shampoo!
The bar staff were extremely helpful as were all the staff. No, even the smoking is now kept under control.
Great hotel to ski from - the bus/triain picks you up right outside the hotel and runs very frequently to Sextas or Anayet. The Mon-Fri kids club was excellent and free! Each night the children did a different art activity relating to winter olympic sports - they were totally captivated for 2 hours from 6-8pm! Loads of hot water and the radiators could be easily turned up to dry skiing clothes and turned down to keep the room cool at night. Our quadruple room consisted of 2 separate sleeping areas and a large bathroom. The children slept on a sofa with a pull out bed underneath - there was no space to walk by when both beds were out. The food was ok but a little bit bland - the kids buffet was mostly pasta, meat and potatoes of some sort - not a lot of vegetables! As the hotel is in the centre of the town it was often quite noisy in the early hours of the morning.
The room was very large and comfortable No
Everything, except the Restaurant. Restaurant
The staff, the hotel, the area, all wonderful! Such a friendly, helpful staff, gorgeous area, beautiful hotel. We can't wait to go back!
Gorgeous location and views! Breakfast was cold and just ok.
