Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was perfectly situated in a charming, beautiful, quaint French town. The hotel is undergoing what looks like major renovations, but only affects the hallways. Enjoyed the hotel and staff very much.
Although the hotel was being refurbished we were made to feel welcome.
The hotel was convenient, and very accomodating. Parking onsite, easy access, nice "old world" hotel, but in need of some updating. The bathroom was enormous by European standards! Nice flat screen TV in room...unexpected! Looks like it is under contstruction..doing some remodeling and updating.
Position in the centre of town and the old world hotel atmosphere even though the decorating was in need of maintenance. Major building works which are ongoing up to December 2010 to refurbish the hotel, garden and extention buildings completely were not mentioned in the booking data. Completely ruined what was supposed to be an up market small town stay.
Well managed during current refurb, close to town centre and museum and cathedral. Pleasant helpful staff. Wait 6 months to book then it will be superb They are completely refurbing the rooms to modern standards so it was a bit like a building site, but our room was both large and very comfortable.
Excellent reception from staff Hotel being refurbished which did not interfere with our stay Very expensive breakfast
The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice. The room was small and with bad view.
Comfortable and welcoming in fascinating town with the brilliant Centre nationale de costume nearby. Quiet (at least off-season) but central.
It was central; with courteous and helpful staff. The breakfast offered was good and varied: It was being renovated with wires everywhere; and the room was tiny with no teamaking facilities:
it was central and easy to find. bathroom spacious reception very poor tho' other staff pleasant. Room just adequate. Very D.I.Y feel about it.
Modern facilities excellent food Worried on arrival that it would be noisy - but it was not
Not very much I got food poisoning, there was no help with bags on arrival, staff were disinterested or stuck up.
The room was very large and comfortable with plenty of space for two people and their luggage. The staff were very helpful.
The reception staff were helpful. The rooms were quiet with the windows closed. The air conditioning seemed to only heat not cool. The rooms were what you expected. Very basic. The hotel stank of cigarettes as soon as you stepped out of your room.
The room was clean, breakfast ok but expensive, good parking. Noisy location and expensive, no coffee making facilities, forced to use room service.
The hotel was basic but clean and well presented. We arrived late but were checked in without fuss. It is easy to find and has plenty of parking on site. Breakfast was not included in the price and seemed a little pricey if you only wanted a coffee & croissant.
Small hotel, easy to find, close to shopping, nice personel, Not very stabil internet connection
The owner-operators of Chateau Latour are a wonderfully welcoming couple who moved from Amsterdam a few years ago to open this small property. It has only four rooms upstairs and one apartment downstairs - you will never get lost in a crowd. Evert Jan cooks lovely French meals, often using fres ingredients from Therese's vegetable garden. The breakfast features fresh croissants from an excellent patisserie about 300 meters away on the village square. The pool is enticing and in warm weather could convince you to take part of a day off from touring. This is not a "luxury" hotel, but the bathrooms and furnishings are modern and comfortable. Wifi is available gratis. Chateau Latour is a great jumping-off stop for visiting many Burgundy towns.
No comments They try to charge us 17 euros 80 cents for two large beers wher in fackt te price for one is 4.50 euros
Very convenient position on our route home. easy to find and very good value for money. dog friendly but nowhere nearby to exercise him. A bit motel like, our room was on the noisy main road, in the annex adjacent to the hotel. early closing bar.
The breakfast was fairly good value for €5 and the staff were friendly. The bedroom was lit by flourescent strip lighting and the "bathroom" was separated from the bedroom by merely a curtain. The walls of the bathroom didn't even go up to the ceiling and the shower flooded the floor. Room seems to have been modelled on a jail cell.
hotel staff were very helpfull and friendly.
