Poor service on accessing tghe car park - had to phone from the car to gain access to the facility even after booking in
Made to feel very wlecome nothing too much trouble although we didnt speak any french the staff were very helpful in english
The vicinity to town Too high cost for this kind of hotel. Accomodations (double beds separating), very uncomfortable. Room too hot, could not adjust temperature, very uncomfortable. Parking fee is rediculous, that is taken advantage of the customer. Noisy room.
Staff had very good english and it really helped me as i didnt have any french. The buffet breakfast was very expencive at 12 euro per person
Friendliness Didn't clean up a spill on the carpet after the first night
On arrival we had a problem with our room but this was sorted out promptly, professionally and to our utmost satidfaction. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, The location was close to the city and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was good as was La Table de Thierry in the old town.. There are 2 type of executive rooms and this should be pointed out to guests on booking.
We stayed at the hotel during a trip to watch rugby. It is well situated for walking into the town centre and catching a tram to Stade Marcel Michelin.
It was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. The cost of the breakfast was ridiculously high. It was not a good value. I also feel that during the period we were there, all the hotel prices in the city were inflated somewhat.
the breakfast bread was good that the only positive thing I found in this hotel. junior duite is definitively not a suite but 2 small rooms and one has a camp bed. bathroom is very old and durty so are pillow and blanket. Than looby carpet is really old, and durty. and finally if you need the elevator on the moning you may wait for 20 min to get the change to see the unique elevator full
Excellent location. Reception staff very polite and helpful and spoke both English & French. Handy to restaurants, transport and only short pleasant walk to the tourist old city and Place de Jaude. Found the aircon temperature set a little high and was not able to adjust it down (not a major concern and as we were only there 1 night, did not bother to raise this with the Hotel staff).
The staff were very friendly and the partner restaurant good. The underground car park was a bit of nightmare going between the two floors as the ramp was very narrow on the bend and is very tight for a mid range saloon (which was brand new and so we didn't want to scratch it!!)
Good location, in a nice town, in a spectacular region. A pity there was no bar.
Good basic hotel Over heating
We were using it as an overnight stop-over hotel on route to our main destination, it was well placed for the motorway system and easy to find. The room was comfortable and clean. We did not use any other of the facilities
Great hotel, excellent breakfast, good facilities
Good buffet breakfast provided. Hotel had its own free parking near entrance. Reception staff helpful in suggesting restaurants in the City Centre (about 10 mins by car away). Internet (but need to pay) available in room. Hotel bathroom had some maintenance problems (basin couldn't drain water) which had not been sorted out before moving in. Otherwise, no other problems.
Room was well appointed and very clean. Restaurant food very good.
The restaurant was nice and the room was clean and tidy Not enough staff in the bar
reception desk 24 hrs open - restaurant open 06:00 until 24:00 - good and friendly staff - clean and well maintained hotel - easy access from motorways - free parking for cars - large room prefer to have free access to internet for this class of hotels - since many business visitors are using this hotel
It's convenient place to stay if you traveling to Barcelona from Paris, or from Barcelona to Paris. I'll recommend to everybody. Poor choice of equipment in Fitness Center, dirty carpet on floor, need to clean or to change. Choice of cheese on Breakfast is poor.
nice bar area the rooms were incredibly hot and wouldnt cool down
The hotel was well situated for our further travels. It gave us a good nights sleep, a swim, nice evening meal & breakfast None
The staff were very helpful directing us to various sites. The children liked the free cuddly toy they were given Room was not as clean as I would have expected- the blankets on the bed were quite old with holes, however as an overnight stay it was acceptable, but I would not stay any longer. We were also given a top floor room despite having young children and luggage which was not particularly child friendly despite this we stayed in another novotel near Paris and found this to be fantastic- food, room and much better value for money so would use a novotel hotel again
Breakfast! The hospitality tray in the double room only catered for one person.
Comfortable stay, good overnight Hotel away from the noise of the Autoroutes. Could be difficult to find without a Sat. Nav. We liked the air conditioning in the rooms.
The house keepers talked to loudly outside, making it hard to sleep. And also if you stay on the groud floor, you can hear all the movements on the room over you, so if the person in the room wakes up before you, you'll probably wake up also because of the noise.
This was our first stay at Issoire and we found it with ease and, was received with a very pleasant young lady with a smile and, was very helpful when I had difficulty connecting to the internet which was free of charge. I found the cost of meals rather expensive
Easy to find . The room was comfortable and the shower and facilities where good. The food was good The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate but no noise at night except for the alarm of one of the industial units which went off three times during the night.
Quiet, good beds no
The well -thought out layout of the room.It was not particularly big, but there was room for luggage, for toiletries in the bathroom and a decent sized bench/table top in the actual bedroom The concrete stairs for the upper floor made rather hard going if you were not in the first flush of youth!!
IT was ckean, comfortable, quiet, good restaurant. everything you would want for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere - it's in the middle of a light industry area. Nothing in particular - the place is just one year old.
Near the autoroute We asked for a change of one room due to it having an unpleasant smell.
Clean, comfortable. roomy. Good breakfast. Good value overall.
Good for an overnight halfway stopover travelling to the south of France or Spain and very close to A71 Autoroute. Rooms are compact and recently refurbished. Good shower / bathroom, free wi-fi and comfortable beds with little traffic noise from Autoroute nearby. Restuarant food is varied, but as usual in France not very good value compared to say a Beefeater near a Premier Inn in the UK. Though better value than an Ibis or Novotel nearby. Located on a small business park that's quiet after 18:00hrs. Most staff speak english and very friendly. Car park is a bit tight with limited spaces, watch out for damage by other drivers coming and going, my car was hit. Food in restuarant buffet area is left uncovered and flies on food are a problem.
New look - much brighter and cleaner looking There was nowhere to put shampoo etc in the shower
newmodern facilities, efficient & friendly staff & breakfasts
modern room; clean; excellent location Did not have an iron ready (current one was damaged)
services / facilities, nice hotel staff, very good breakfast There was an unpleasant smell in the room (which could be caused by a cleaner used to make up the room). We left one window open during our stay.
Wide room, Free breakfast coffee and croissant. TV and Movie programs are excellent. 10 euros/day for parking.
Good room. We liked the free coffee-to-go and cake in the morning.
The room was well equiped. No restaurant although there were plenty within 10-15 minute walk.
I liked the the location, style and layout of the hotel. The facilities exceeded our expectations and needs and with the convenient tram just outside the front door meant exploring the town was simplified. I felt the parking could have been free for residents.
Reasonable size room Breakfast like a bun fight, insufficient staff and not made aware of what was available.also as with most hotels in the ones we looked at on your website coffe/tea facilities in rooms would have been nice.
This is a very good hotel for the price range. The rooms are clean, a good size and the beds are comfortable. Its also within walking distance of places to eat. Liked everything
New, light, spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff, excellent food/restaurant - everything you need - including free fast wifi, free, safe parking and near the motorway, None at all
Very comfortable clean bed
There was some confusion as I had booked a family room but was told I could not stay in the room with 3 children. I explained that I booked this and enquired before I travelled and it was ok. I also explained that I had a another booking in August 09. The receptionist cancelled this booking without really offering an alternative. Very abrupt
Good size rooms and comfortable bed
very comfortable, no
ease of booking and comfort/standard of rooms for amount paid. convenient stop over location
Very easy to access Staff were very good The room was clean. Access to the Town of Issoire very very good
Hotel receptionist was excellent, she was very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is well positioned with secure parking. No tea or coffee available in the room.
Very helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good location close to town centre and motorway and the icing on the cake was the sunny pool which was ideal way to cool down and relax after a long day's drive
Very helpful and friendly staff booked us in at a local restaurant when the hotel one was closed. Very quiet rooms and quite spacious for 2 adults and 2 children.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is convenient because it's close to the interstate. The room did not have a shower, only a bathtub. I think for 3 stars there should be a shower. We stayed on the night that the hotel restaurant was closed. The staff recommended a local restaurant for dinner. We did not have a good experience there.
Free wi fi. Friendly staff. Easy and relaxed
very comfortable room ,Staff very helpful and friendly
For a stop over this is a convenient location to the autoroute and the room was clean. Breakfast ok, worth taking. Use of half landings for lift access makes heavy bag handling difficult - not for the disabled. Restaurant closed on Sunday (noted in booking confirmation) but few local options open made stop over a bit of a pain. The Buffallo Grill 1 mile away was ok though.
The hotel was in the centre of Issoire and not far from the beautiful countryside around. The room was large and very quiet.
Easy to find, very good location with it being just off the main road, quiet, on the whole very pleasant indeed. Service in the restaraunt slow, but in all fairness to them, the receptionist did warn us that there was a large party in that night and that they would deal with them first, we just picked the wrong night, unfortunately it was our wedding anniversary.
As a triple room we had plenty of room and it was all very clean Apart from the prices at the bar nothing really
convenient for stop-over while travelling, with friendly staff and a cheerful breakfast room. We were grateful for an excellent recommendation for dinner as their own restaurant was closed. Quite a noisy street location, (though there is double glazing which helps if you don't mind sleeping without fresh air). The lift goes to half-landings instead of to your floor which is a bit inconvenient for carting luggage. We thought it rather expensive for what was on offer - compared with other hotels in France.
breakfast is not really expensive, and correct, rooms are wide enough to be easy. it's not sightposted,indicated...
Facilities provided more room than many budget hotels, supermarket and restaurants nearby. Wifi readily available.
Clean and friendly. The price is a bit steep for a a one star hotel especially as there are cheaper three star hotels in the area.
good overnight stop no
We stopped at this hotel en route to the south. It was convenient for the auto route, easy to find, clean, functional and the hotel team friendly and welcoming. Within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants which was great after a long drive. The facilities were no more and no less than we expected for the price paid, all in all it was perfect for an overnight stop over and we’d definitely use it again.
Excellent facilities and cleanliness of rooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hotels are within easy motorway access.
Excellent value for money. This is a clean, easy to get to stopover hotel.
We stayed in the family room- large and clean, with good size shower room. Hard to find.
the staff (only one woman) was wonderful, she is very nice, friendly and efficient! the pillows are awful !!!
Helpful staff, Free internet, ideal as a stop over as we were on route to South of France. convenient location for motorway and facilities. Good value for money
The location was absolutely great for access to the motorway. The only thing wrong was that we couldn´t get internet access although the staff were very helpful
We arrived late and they were kind enough to leave a 'key drop' for us. Rooms quite small
No proper shower. Hotel very tired looking
Close to motorway Room like prison cell, very noisy
We found this budget hotel to be ideal for an overnight stop on our car journey from Calais to Perpignan in 2 days. It's close to the autoroute & the food was reasonable Nothing particularly.
Good location for my requirements. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free wifi. Room was small - twin beds filled it except for a small desk & chair. Bathroom poor - small half-bath and hand-held shower. Noisy - apart from road-noise, bin lorries at 6am.
The hotel was cheap and the Receptionist was very helpful Out of the way and parts closed such as the bar and the tabac
Decent clean economical hotel in a resonable location, with very friendly staff. this a bar and resurant, and other good eating places a short walk away. No negative points to mention
Good clean environment. No english speaking receptionists at night.
easy access to hotel, friendly staff. Restaurant closed; laundry closed; credit card machine didnt work.
The hotel was very good and the and staff were excellent. Only a small complaint that the bed dipped in the middle, but otherwise recommended Only a small complaint that the bed dipped in the middle, but otherwise recommended
Very clean and friendly staff
The Breakfast buffet was not up to standard.
We used this as a stopover after a long day of traveling and found the hotel to be very comfortable and clean with everything we needed,
Very comfortable and convenient No
free Wifi throughout hotel no restaurant at weekends.....
Location to the pretiest part of the city was good, Rooms finished to a good standards and clean We arrived expecting to use the reteraunt only to find it closed on a Saturday
Breakfast - quality and choice of food. Leaving room keys behind reception visible for all to see and possibly access.
Main town square was only a 10 minute walk. The rooms were quite hot during the night.
Nicely renovated hotel, good quality fittings and bathroom. Great breakfast. Not really close to any shops or restaraunts
Quiet room (is was to the back), very easy ac cess from the A75 miotorway (only 500 meters!). Only 5 minutes drive to Clermont Ferrand and 10 minute drive to the airport. Only 3 min drive to a recreation area with losts of restaurants (junction 1 of the A75) limited food choice for dinner (so we ate out all nights). A farmer burnt thinjks in his backyard (next to the hotel) for half of the nights. if the wind is north-East it blows the fmes into the rooms.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I wasn't able when booking to reserve for a child as the third occupant (I believe because of booking.com's poorly designed website that doesn't allow to do so, unlike its competitors), and the staff helped out by upgrading me to a room with two beds without charge. Nicely furbished room. I confirm highway noise is not a problem.
Simpel, clean hotel which looked great and was easy to find. For just the night this is an excellent hotel close the main road to Clermont Ferrand with a lot of restaurants. Paying extra for breakfast is always a downside, so we just bought ours on the way for a third of what they charged.
A really good hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast, conveniently located and friendly staff. There should be more hotels like this one.
A nice clean and modern hotel. Close enough to autoroute to be very convenient but not too close. All rooms have balconies , our room had excellent facilities and a pleasant view over the countryside. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We used the hotel as a one night stopover and would certainly go there again. The restaurant was good, but for some reason it is closed over the weekend. I've no idea why, but this would be a put-off if I needed a weekend stop.
Modern, clean and comfortable hotel, good restaurant and friendly staff. Near a motorway but roooms are very quiet with windows closed. Lovely views at the back of the hotel over the countryside. We only used it as a 1 night stop over so location near motorway suited us. N/A
Clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Pity no snack or food available on arrival on Sat. eve - although I believe this was already mentioned - but I forgot! No, only as mentioned above no snacks available on Sat. eve.
Excellent facility - The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, but only one person was on duty and checking in and our was slow. The restaurant management was abrupt and rather rude
Helpful staff.Excellent breakfast. Bedroom facilities, such as lack of two bedside tables, are too basic for this class of hotel. Taxi booked by hotel was grossly overpriced.
Location and friendeliness of the staff the cumbersom access to the garage level from my floor (5e). I had to take two elevators back and forth.
Very Basic Hotel in need of modernisation
Airco in the room. The breakfast was very good. We had a connected room (2+3) which was very easy with the children!
Bathroom dirty air con did not work in one room no tea making facilities
Looccation and easy access from the motorway No
Reasonable cost for connecting rooms we have teenage children and wanted them close but not same room. Good breakfast, We did not realise it was under going a re furb and there were decorators and plasterers in reception. The room was hot and fairly cramped but ok for a one night stop over. Didnt know restaurant would be closed for evening meals.
The breakfast was outstanding, staff very friendly and helpful. Staff were a bit thin on the ground in the evening. The only staff we saw was one at reception and one other sort of floating between bar and reception (although both were very helpful and friendly). We stayed on Saturday night but were unable to buy a meal (snacks only, pizza sandwiches etc)
Large bedroom. Easy parking. Bathroom "tired". " Cooked breakfast" on the first morning was cold. Breakfast on second morning - just one person to try to cope! No plates, no glasses, no cold food, no hot food, no orange juice, no fruits but it did have some bread and preserves. Restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday evening. Most unsatisfactory.
Central to Clermont Sites. Poor bar facilities. Tea cups in the bedrooms were of poor quality plastic.
I was demanded higher amount of money than a contract rate. The reaction of a cashier was indistinct when I required the correction of the bill.
On site covered parking and price of hotel. also 5/10 minute walk to centre, which is cool.
Very good location and very nice room.
very clean, quite, good internet access. better reception first appointment, more international TV channels
Nice central location. Good breakfast.Secure parking.
Excellent area next to city center, very good staff, clean, and cosy.Very large room with excellent desk and comfortable bed; in one word excellent. small advice : the internet connection could be better
Good location, easy parking, excellent value for money. The hallways looked in need of refurbishment, and the first impression of the neighborhood was not good, but still good value for money.
fair price below our expectation, hotel condition isn't good at all.
Friendly and helpfully staff and a great Location
Although small, the apartment was well-fitted out, including a drying frame.Excellent for self-catering. A fairly quiet, good residential area with supermarket and other shops close by. After hours on-call service is based in Toulouse - some significant distance away.
I arrived at about 8pm on a Sunday evening to find the hotel locked and no staff present. A sign in the window directed me to call a number to obtain information on how to enter the hotel and obtain a key for my room. This involved using a number of pincodes and trying to find my way around in the dark in unfamiliar surroundings. I was on the top floor and the lift was broken. No staff were present and it appears (according to the hotel literature) that reception only opens for a couple of hours a day. This is the norm. Should something happen to a guest whilst on the premises there are no staff available to assist and I cannot think how a disabled guest would have managed if presented with the broken lift.
Very new, modern, clean. The hotel closed at 7 PM which was not indicated on the booking.com form. After that time a number could be called to get an access code.
I did not like the hotel because the comfort and services were too poor for a business trip
Location in town, one can walk within 10 min to the centre. Room too small for the bed, difficult to enter the bathroom when bed is in use. Entrance of the garage is very small for a big car.
nice personnel, bright new room
Very generous rooms (we stayed in a mini-appartment with small kitchen) and close to the center of Clermont (walking distance) The place advertises itself as a residence, and not a hotel - this is very honest, as it is not even close to a hotel. It lacks practically everything that a hotel offers: The recpetion closes at 4pm on saturday (!) and is completely unstaffed on Sundays. If you arrive later, you have to call a hotline (have your cell phone ready, as there is no pay-phone anywhere near the hotel) to be told the code for the entrance door and the code for the small safe that hold your room key. Quite naturally, as the reception is unstaffed, no roomservice is available, a restaurant doesn't exist in the first place. House cleaning doesn't exist either, so don't expect freshly made beds wehn you return in the evening. We didn't try the breakfast, as you need to reserve it the day before and as we stayed over the weekend, the reception was unstaffed. The lack of a staffed reception desk affects all the other possible services (wifi, parking), so make sure you ask for those during the booking. I would only recommend the 'residence' to someone who speaks at least some French (the hotline!) and who is willing to accept the utter lack of service on weekends.
Business-like and efficient, if slightly spartan, in the way it provides a bed, plus minimal facilities, for the overnight stay. It is rather sparse and plain, but no worse than to be expected for the very reasonable price. It is unsatisfactory however that they do not explain clearly in advance that it is not staffed, and of course locked, on sundays, and that you have to phone a number (per small note stuck to inside of front door pane) to get a code to enter the building, and another code to get into a safe where your room key awaits. Their booking confirmation message ought to make this situation clear.
I like very much, because, we have thinked that we at oursuite home. Yes, i think that 20 m2 is very small
