Proximity to Gare d'Est Railway Sation where we were arriving. Not good part of town, esp at night.
> Very convenient location to the Train Station and bus tours. > 30 min walking distance to the Pyramid/museum > Internet included > Reception is patient and very helpful > good restaurants within 5 min walking distance from hotel > Hotel is clean > I thought breakfast buffet -15 euro was expensive .. may be normal in Paris .. I brought my own cereal bars and took coffee outside
the hotel is very central of the city and near by the metro and bus and trainstation
Near the rail way station The room price it's so expensive compare with the facilities that we received. But if the price is not the problems, I'll recomend to others traveller to stay in this hotel.
Closeliness to the Gare de l'Est and other attractions. Especially the carpet could have been cleaner and the room a little bigger.
It is not close to any of the tourist destinations. You had to take a cab or the metro to any of the sites. Our room was very small.
It was really cold in the bedroom, the heater didn't work properly.
No parking. Overall cleanliness was horrible, certainly not four star worthy. Customer service was lacking, personnel seemed annoyed to help.
It was very close to the station and quiet easy for nearby shopping The Room is too small there is no space to move .
the position is perfect when arring at Paris gare del est
quiet misplaced my luggage, breakfast was to expensive for the empty baskets and plates. Didn't take breakfast the 2nd day.
Location was great, near lots of metro stations and close to everything. Easy walk to main train station that connects to Amsterdam. Comfortable, clean room. Our only issue was lots of noise (ppl on the streets) in the wee hours of the morning. If we stay again, we'll request a room not facing the train station. Very reasonably priced! We only stayed one night but were able to appreciate the courteous staff.
how close it was to the station. the breakfast and the staff I booked a room for my self and husband and one for my children. The children were on a different floor from us and their room was much more spacious. After checking in the staff did offer to change our room but having taken credit card details etc it seemed too much of a nuicance.
Very convenient location room is small
overall okay + location expensive, but it is paris
Conveniently located across the street from gard nord and outside a metro station. Bars and restaurants close by. Comfortable bed. Amazing view of Sacre Coeur as our room was on the top floor. Wifi connection was good. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. Water damage on the ceiling. Bathtub was a bit dirty. Remote control didn't work.
Thank you for great advice on how to get to the airport, when to buy the ticket with no line, etc. Thank you for speaking French with me rather than assuming all Americans can only speak English.
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Spoke excellent English too. Asked for and obtained very quiet room. Ideal. Opposite Gare du Nord No - all was fine, thank you.
Its location across from Gare De Nord train & metro station as well as the convenient bus stops within proximity despite of the slightly rough yet safe neihborhood it is in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious with a balcony overlooking the main street and the train station. Having many restuarants just outside the hotel was definetely a plus. We were extremely comfortable. N/A
Close to Train Station Bathroom extremely poor
very close to train station
Nothing Special, It was a normal hotel matching with the value paid. The internet is not free, The room was small as twin standard size, the room service was quite poor, the breakfast was not suitable for Muslim guests.
It is in centre, very convinent for travellers, Bathroom needs to maintain, specially room no-521.
Comfort of my room (especially the bed - perfect support, guaranteeing full sleep at night; wonderful view over Sacré Coeur and silence from windows, despite station front). Closeness to station and transport connections.
Great contemporary hotel None
Pleasant new decor, nice helpful staff, good position We expected a small room but the size and quality of the beds was less than expected
Good accomodation and good location. Close to major train stations etc. Close to shops.
It is very clean, with modern rooms and 1 min walking from metro station. to offer cheaper breakfast
Nice hotel, at good place.
The location and the curtourtsy of the staff
Hotel Jules is a excellent choice. A very good Hotel. Very close to metro "Le Peletier" (about 2 minutes walking). Very good.
Excellent location, friendly staf
Modern, clean and friendly staff Hotel quite pricey
Good location (not far from Opera, Sacré Coeur & Gare de l'Est) especially if you come by train, Welcoming and helpful staff, Contempary design with trendy rooms Nothing, only that we got a room with twin beds instead of a booked double room (on the other side, the room was immediately ready at arrival at 10 a.m.)
The hotel has a lovely design - the room was rather vintage but stylish and the hall downstairs just beautifull. The staff is best I have seen (helpfull and proffesional). Breakfast was really good! (nothing to compare to other hotels in France). Also this is excellent location with bars and restaurants just next to it. Everything was fine - I would just add coffee/tea facility to the room. Also you need to know that the beds are quite small.
The hotel has an excellent location, is very clean and decorated with style. Breakfast was very enjoyable. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends! If any remark should be made; there's no hair dryer.
Offensive and agressive staff
perfect location, very nice people at reception, clean rooms with all staff, no smell, good breakfasts with cheese, hamon, yougurts, corn flakes, etc. - all you need to have at mornings, free Internet is a big plus. In general - warm atmosphere and helpfull staff. a bit small rooms but it is typical in Paris as far as I understand
everyone was more than happy to help me with the littlest things. the were genuine in trying to make my stay comfortable. they even found me an adapter so that i could plug in my laptop and when that one didnt fit they went and found me another. the breakfast was great in the morningas well. we extended our stay two additional days and will come back here on our next trip as well as recomend this hotel to our friends and family.
central position no alchohol
The hotel is very well located, clean and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight business trip. Sensor lighting in corridors. Always takes a while to activate and actually on stairs, does not at all from above.
the hotel does not cost the price
Friendly Staff, close to Metro, shopping. Good shower in room. Air conditioning in room was erratic. Breakfast too expensive. Lift only big enough for 2 people!
nice warm room, good bathroom
Hotel room was small but fine, stuff was very kind. Close to railway stations, and next to 3 subway lines. There was no heating in our room. Only continental breakfast is available, but I recommend going out to restaurants anyway - same prize and very parisian feeling :) Surrounding was not very safe nights - the immigrants quartier is very close.
the location is very good. close to all famous spots. easy to get metro. room is clean. service is good. room is not big. Compare with other hotels in Paris, I would like to recommend this one.
The location and walking distance to all we wanted to see and more was perfect. So close to wonderful restaurants and shopping districts. Plain and simple: Our room was very small.
I maybe mostly loiked the balcon view.We had a room on the last floor, and when you get to the balcon and lookin around you feel like staying on the roof. And downwards there was a beautiful street. The rooms are to small - practically there is no place to make a step. The towels in the bathroom seemed lke being not clean enough.
It was quite good. The Room was neat with Good Bed Linen & Well Cleaned Toilet. The carpet in the room looks bit old and dirty. The Reception is bad. Unclean furnitures & dull look.
The location was really good: metro station around the corner and most sights within a walking distance. We were lucky to get a really nice and spacy room on the 5th floor (non-smoking). Staff was helpful. We didn't have breakfast though it looked okey. Soundproofing wasn't quite suberb: there are big boulevards close by and emergency vehicles' sounds disturbed a little.
Staff Room was a little bit too small; No windows in breakfast room.
This hotel was very conveninent! 1 block from the subway. I even had a balcony looking out at the street. x The only bad thing is you have to pay for wifi.
It was ok, clean and with a good bed. The public areas were very ordinary, and some of the staff, (male) were not particularly pleasant.
We lived on the 8th floor of the hotel, and the elevator broke down twice. We had to carry our baby and stroller the eight floors up twice. Two members of staff were downright rude and non-accomodating to this inconvenience. However, Christina and one other man were very nice and helpful and understanding. Part from the elevator mishaps, it was quite a nice hotel, and the eight floor rooms have a great view of Paris.
The location was very good and well served by public transport. The room was clean but vastly overpriced for what it was. I was forced to take something as Paris seemed to be very full that weekend. The value for money was extremely poor.
Excelente hotel. If you want to be close to Metro and in a good location, close to everything. Here is the place. Nothing, really. It was a very good stay.
Friendly stuff. The bed was extremely firm and therefore very uncomfortable. There was a constant noise from the drain, placed just outside the bedroom window, which was very annoying. The hotel felt very impersonal, lacked atmosphere.
friendly staff, good location very noisy
We know this hotel since more than 10 years and have been staying there for at least four times. It is a lovely hotel and we'll choose it for our next stay in Paris. No, nothing indeed
It is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing in paris. The rooms are small by australian standards, but good by european standards.
the deco of the hotel was very pleasing and it was very clean. on arrival there was no record of our reservation. we recieved no apologies and were told we were lucky they had a twin room. we had booked a double and i had our reservation refrence as proof! the room was very small and in a very poor part of town i did not feel at ease. we made reservations with and different hotel and checked out the next day. upon checking out the hotel staff were quite rude complaining this is not the way to do business. i replyed that as i was on holiday to celebrate my 1st wedding anniversary and only for 5 days i was deeply unhappy with the service recieved and this had cut down my holiday time by 1 day. still no apologie! i would not recomend this hotel for a sight seeing holiday in paris as the location is also quite a distance from the attractions.
very comfortable and beautiful. staff was very accomodating!
Design of my room.
The hotel is under refurbishment, so the lobby still needs some work done however rooms are very, very nice and stylish. Staff is very kind and location is good. Hotel only accepts Visa payment and not AMEX. For business trips AMEX is crucial payment option.
The receptionist who helped us checking out after one night. He was very professional and polite. It is catagorized as a 3 star hotel. It a 1 star hotel. We wanted this hotel because they had a room for 4 persons. 2 adults and 2 children. It was a small 3 person room. The room was dark and very small. The coridors was in dark and was narrow. We checked out after the one night we had to stay, not to loose our money. We moved to another hotel around the corner. A very good hotel, 20 euros cheaper pr, night.
location, I got 50% reduction vs the standard price was not very clean
Central location.Value for money. Breakfast area too small for number of people. General decor of hotel badly in need of refurbishment.
The staff is very helpfull and the location is good. The rooms are newly renovated. The renovation is going on in the hotel. There are builders everwhere. We got a newly renovated room. Looks perfect but could not sleep because of the heavy smell of paint. The floor we got was like a building site. There was not even a door number on our door because they have opened a building site to reservations.
it's location', near the metro (grand boulvards).
Good service - good location
Design (and cleanness) of the room and kindness of staff. The fact that they don't accept AMEX. No kettle in the room.
Staff were helpful and pleasant. Room 601 had obviously been refurbished recentl. From the window one had a splendid view of the Basilique Sacre Coeur The radiator in the baqthroom had not been switched on and as we arriveed very late it was very cold. The room also was not very waqrm altho' there was a small (efficient, when turned up) elec tric radiator on low
Staff, room The suite was amazing, the standard room a bit small
Very clean and contemporary style. Very nice and professional hotel staff. Free coffee, tea, croissant, and free use of umbrellas. Room was not large, but plenty of space for a 4 night stay with 2 people. Great location. Exceeded our expectations in every way.
Staff were great and very helpful. Rooms were well appointed and nice, comfortable, and clean. Hotel was quiet and located close to metro and a number of excellent restaurants, shops, and bakeries (Mekerbeche nearby is a must-visit). 1. The shower is extremely poorly designed so that every time you use them it floods the bathroom floor with water, this makes showering a chore and could easily be avoided with some small renovations. 2. This hotel is located in a somewhat dubious area, not what you would expect, given the price you are paying.
We ended up at a Hotel Mademoiselle due to our Airbnb falling through. This turned out to be much better. Friendly staff, central location, and clean cozy rooms. The area is a bit dirty and dodgy at night, BUT as long as you're aware of your surroundings you'll be fine.
The hotel room was on the small side but very well equipped for the price! We especially enjoyed the multi-room speaker system with headphone jack plug that we used with our iPhone to play music, the rain shower with great water pressure, the windows that overlooked the courtyard that opened all the way up with a great breeze, the big closet that fit all our bags and clothes for our long trip, the mostly friendly staff that understood English well. The proximity to the metro stations was nice but we found Rue Magenta to be very sketchy with a lot of vagrants, loiterers and gypsy beggars. We did not have a good experience with one of the night guards, we asked him to call us a taxi but when it was taking too long to arrive and we changed our minds he got very mad and almost began yelling at us. We had a dinner reservation to make on time and would have missed it if we waited for his cab to arrive. That's not the proper way to treat a guest at your hotel. Also the "spa" was disappointing, there was no privacy and other guests were walking in and out during our reservation time, including hotel staff interrupting the water bed massage midway asking if we had made an appointment. Yes we did make an appointment, please check your books instead of interrupting! So that experience was completely ruined.
Good location for our purposes between 2 great metro/RER stations. (Gard du Nord & Gare de l'est) but a bit off the beaten path. Need to work on the lighting in the bathroom - hard to see for make-up and hair. Otherwise, room was great. My daughter and I had 2 twin beds and a corner room with small balcony facing the street - it was spacious and quiet on the 5th floor. Would stay here again. Spent little time at the hotel but it was quiet, comfortable and clean and the staff was very personable. Can't speak to the food as we did not eat at the hotel at all.
absolutely nothing the staff, the cheap, tacky interior, the filthyness, the rude staff constantly smoking .. the loud noisy contruction all through the night, the paper thin walls to here the lowlifes staying in the area fight, the constant sounds of sirens and distress calls.. did i mention the rude staff. the bugs and spiders in the bathroom, the lazy housekeeping service.. the stink of musty furniture throughout the place. i wouldnt even consider the food after seeing the filthy environment
The room was absolutely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great but not included. Staff were nice. The "big bus" tour and train station are walking distance. It was far from all historic places that we wanted to see and go in Paris so we had to take a bus or train at day time and taxi at night since I didn't feel safe walking in that area. If you are staying for few days I suggest to get a hotel close to area you are planning to vist but if you are planing to stay for a week or more this is a good place if you don't mind paying for taxi at night!
We needed a place for 1 night stopping through Paris, on the way to London next day via eurostar. The room was small but not by Paris standards. The bed and shower were perfect. The staff was super helpful and nice. For the money it was the perfect place to crash for the night.
Staff was friendly, welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk as our room was not ready for check-in. We arrive to Paris earlier than the check-in time. We dropped off our luggage and went about our day. By the time we came back, it was great to know the staff brought our luggage to our room. We didn't stay in the room much. as we were out all day. I would recommend that the hotel would suggest different places to eat around the city.
Good hotel. Would go back. Convenient location (close to train stations and metro). Nice breakfast. Comfy and clean rooms. Nice staff. Private sauna
great location in the 9th arr. that is not too far from the metro. the surrounding neighborhood is pretty safe and offers nearby groceries, pharmacies, and restaurants. the room was just the right size for a quick and short trip. the staff are very helpful and the breakfast selection is great the internet was spotty and there is a lack of english entertainment on the television outside of the news -but not a real complaint as i probably would want to spend as much time outside of the hotel room anyway to enjoy the sights!
The room was very romantic, we had a beautiful view of the traditional parisian apartments with a patio. Unfortunately we didn't have time to order in, but I would recommend ordering breakfast to have on the patio. I wish we stayed longer!!
The staff was incredibly helpful and spoke great English. The location is right in the heart of everything… So it was incredibly easy to take an Uber wherever we wanted to go. The breakfast was incredible as well and even though we didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel, the time we did spend was beautiful and very enjoyable.
The staff and location. That breakfast is not included in the price!
Very unique with an interesting French accent in decor.
Efficient, comfortable, and great location. Nothing
The Location was quite useful. The Hotel was in extremely poor condition and the attitude was most inappropriate for the Hospitality industry. The lift was not working the service elevator was slow and sloppy with broken buttons. On top of this I was paying 325 Euros a night for this shabby hotel.
The rooms are predictably nice rooms. The hotel is well situated. There are many japanese restaurants in the area. We were blocked in the elevator once we arrived, the staff could have been more reassuring.
Cleanliness, easy access to train, attractions Staff not as attentive. Disconnect between night shift and day shift as far as information.

The staff and location were great.
Very good location, with a Metro station literally in front of the door. Nice, helpful staff. Room cleaning seemed sloppy, like it was done in a rush. Hotel has generic decoration.
Great hotel very comfy, clean, modern look, well situated close to opera, louvre, and others main attractions. Plenty of restaurants around, also close to a open tour stop, very convenient if you choose to take the bus tour. Staff was very helpfull, and friendly.
I had an excellent stay and this is due to two people that made this happen. They went above and beyond my expectations and should be rewarded for all their hard work and time they took with me. Thank you guys. You rock No. Hotel employees made my stay an incredible one and should be recognized for that. As a result I am staying at this hotel once again on the 23 to the 24th and I cannot wait to get back.

Location is good. Right up the metro exit, easy to everywhere. Lots of restaurants nearby. Room extremely small, very basic, not value for money

The hotel was very clean and cosy and the breakfast was good. Location was great as there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and also the Cadet metro stop was just yards away for quick access to the rest of the city. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to my friends. Would have liked coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
Very convenient location for our plans. Front desk very helpful. Would stay there again if return to Paris. The breakfast room staff not as friendly or helpful as front desk. We were given a twin bed room, as requested, but would have preferred a little separation between the beds, even just an inch or two.
like value for money - quality
Location is very goo in the center of Paris; metro is one block away
Great location. Walking distance to attractions, good food and shopping. Breakfast was great - particularly the pancakes - but needed more selections as it was a bit limited - there for 5 days and was the same every day. Also one family member had gluten intolerance and they did not understand what "sans gluten" even meant. WIFI WIFI WIFI - half the room could not even get a signal, and since that was where the kids were sleeping that wasn't good. When it was working it was VERY SLOW.
The hotel was very clean with a very friendly and helpful staff. Also very accessible to all tourist areas. Bedrooms very small, beds very close together.
The staff was very friendly & helpful! The included breakfast was great! Convenient to all!!
Fantastic Hotel, Fantastic Staff and Facilities, Fantastic Location would 100% recommend this Hotel.
The hotel was well presented and all facilities were in good condition. Staff at breakfast were pleasant. We found it noisy at night in the street outside. The windows didn't do a very good job of keeping the noise out and could do with being replaced.
it met expectations
After a 3-day stay, Opera Cadet is our prime choice for future Paris visits. Our room (211) was small but well-appointed. We found space for all of our considerable gear. The location is just a hundred yards from the #7 Metro line, which provided no-change access to the major museums. Face cloths were not provided in the original room makeup, but a request produced them immediately. The breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the fresh fruit and the house-made fresh crepes. The guest-access computer made quick work of boarding passes. Free wi-fi was reliable and fast. Combined bathtub-shower met both of our preferences. At Opera Cadet's price point, I have no complaints about anything.
Very Very nice stay, great size for the center of the city and a tremendous value for the quality of the room. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Decor needed to be updated. It's not bad but that would really be appreciated and be a nice additional touch
We were able to check into our room at midday which we didn't expect. It's very close to the metro The cleaning staff came into our room at 10am without knocking.
the staff in the evening did not speak english and the bed sheet was dirty.
good room spec. good location. limited breakfast option for 14€
close to Metro most of rooms are facing internal lightwell which make people uncomfortable living there
not really much...just the availability of the concierge...maybe.. everything! The first room I got was on the last floor (6th): the lift was extremely noisy and bumpy. As soon as I entered in the room I was overwhelmed my the smell of new painting, I tried to open all the windows to remove it but in the end I had a freezing cold and smelly room. I slept there 1 night but I had to change it since in the morning I felt very bad: head-ache, sore throat, nausea. I got a second room at the second floor, much more smaller with a very small window and no heating!!!! I froze for other 2 night (the temperature was around 0 degrees). Horrible!
Good location - close to metro, the metro station was the station where I could change lines, near was supermarket, easy to get Notre Dame, easy to get Eifel ....for leisure travel it was important and good. I had coffe maker in my room. When I checked in and arrived to my room - it was not clean up after previous guest. After my complaint at reception personal immediately prepared room in order.... Shampoo and shower gel was in only first day (I stayed 3 nights). But irrespective to things which I did not like, if the rate will be good I can suggest this hotel to friends or after some time choose it again.
I liked that the room was big comparing the others hotels in Paris I ever stayed, the furniture is new, a big flat TV screen, tea and instant coffee in the room. I did not like the neighborhood (it was a little dangerous for a single woman), there was no heat in the room, they were not always at the reception and it felt like anyone can enter into the hotel, the pillows are too hight for me and they did not have others, the room was "half-cleaned" every day, they did not take good care of my things (the luggages were dirty after I took them from the luggage room; in an evening, at the returning, some of my things were on the floor).
Friendly and helpful staff, modern vibe, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed and quilt I've stayed in.
The size of the room, nice staff, close to shopping area
Paris hotels are often disappointing: nice entrance, but the rooms..Not the case of this Hotel: great rooms, almost a "design" hotel, very good bathroom. The position is also a plus.
The staff was great. The room was small and dark.
small hotel, nice but I feel it rated 3 stars instead of 4 internet not available in room, was necessary to use it in the lobby. Rooms very hot, necessary to keep window open on the ground floor
Fantastic front desk staff to help first timers in Paris, cute rooms, great location to metro around Paris.
The decorations were very unique and the hotel was very clean The WiFi was extremely slow
Clean room, good staff Some unfortunate position
The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The location is close to two metro stations and an easy walk from the Opera district center. Staff would assist with directions, I would rec. staff create direction sheets for common destinations for effic The rooms are small but that is most likely typical for Paris.
The hotel was very clean and had nice decor theme.

staff and room condition small size of room, location
Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. Close to metro station. Location was a little dodgy (exact street).
