Nestled in the Armagnac vineyards of Gascony, under the shade of old plane trees, stands this beautiful 18th century charterhouse. In the garden, a cosy spa of 500 m² embraces a nurturing philosophy embodied by natural body and facial treatments, and genuine 20 000-year mineral water springs. Restored in an elegant french style, the lounges and 25 rooms and suites distill a warm atmosphere. Two large fireplaces for winter time and an outside italian gallery for sunny days, set the scene of a gorgeous restaurant and delicious local cuisine.
Pros: Great service and food
Pros: A peerless hotel, wonderful staff, good facilities, excellent regional food beautifully cooked. A very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Pros: This hotel is superb! Simply all aspects were faultless, I would actually go as far as saying it was the best hotel ever I have experienced and I recognise that sounds extreme, but it is after thorough consideration. By the way I am of a certain age and have done more than the average business and pleasure travel.
Cons: Hard to find something, but if I had to comment it would be the lack of English tea bags. But a harsh criticism as we were in France.
Pros: Six star hotel!!!
Cons: Nothing !!!

Pros: A really delightful and authentic very well run family hotel. Absolutely superb cuisine at all breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Superb menu and wine list. Charming helpful staff.
Cons: Better quality pillows and hairdryer in room please, otherwise wonderful.
Pros: The food was fantastic . The staff were very attentive and helpful. The maitre d made excellent wine recommendations as well making lighter meal on request which was absolutely delicious . The grounds are beautiful too.
Cons: The room was big enough the bathroom could have been a little bigger or had a better shower it was adequate though may be a suggestion for the future
Pros: The park is pleasant. Swimming pool was nice. Staff is very pleasant.
Cons: Toilet extremely small. Towels smelling rotten.. not properly dried. Not enough choice for restaurant menu at this price.
Pros: General ambience is classically French which is a good thing. The staff are wonderful. The food truly superb.
Cons: Bigger shower would be good.
Pros: Quiet and historical. Beds fantastic Staff attentive and helpful Pool excellent for relaxing Dinner superb
Cons: Room outdated with substandard bathroom. Hotel charged quite heavily for room and everything we tried. We enjoyed it but felt a little exploited.
Pros: A lovely old chateaux in a sleepy and charming town. Lovely swimming pool, warm and receptive staff who were very helpful. Overall a really good stay that we enjoyed, despite the sweltering heat.
Cons: The exceptional weather made our room very hot and with no air con it wasn’t an ideal night.
Pros: Polite welcoming staff
Cons: Did not get the rooms we booked. Overpriced evening meal and surcharge for eggs at breakfast. Quality of food disappointing. Public rooms were cold and insufficient seating.
Pros: A wonderful French traditional family owned hotel. The service was brilliant and charming and the food fantastic. We all loved it.
Pros: Superb food, the best we experienced travelling around Europe for 40 days. Lovely outdoor terrace and two further nice indoor dining rooms. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. In beautiful Armagnac country with plenty of places to sample nearby, together with goods wines.
Cons: Bedrooms and bathrooms could do with a makeover - no aircon when the weather was warm meant slightly uncomfortable nights.

Pros: Was greeted by the owner who parked my motorcycle in a secure garage. Lovely friendly owner. Wonderful evening meal. There was plenty for breakfast. The Chateau is set in parkland, lovely and peaceful.
Pros: Excellent restaurant, great food and atmosphere. Breakfast was OK. Lovely grounds and great looking Chateau.
Cons: We booked a standard room which was cramped. The bathroom was just OK. All very tired looking. We were shown a superior room in the morning which we would have jumped to had we been aware of it at very little extra cost. I should have looked at the choices more carefully when booking.
Pros: Gorgeous surroundings, beautiful building, fabulous hosts
Pros: The staff could not have been nicer. Thank you Jacques in the restaurant who suddenly had to rustle us up a lunch on Sunday at the last minute. Great location as my sons had a wedding nearby.
Cons: I just didn't think it was value for money - the standard rooms had minimal furniture (I had no proper hanging space or somewhere to put my clothes). My sons beds was covered with a damp bedspread when we arrived. Breakfast was disappointing. The flies were horrendous but I think that was caused by the weather earlier in the year. I might add that as the front door is left open and we were on the ground floor finding 2 men trying to climb through my bedroom window at 4am was somewhat alarming - they had already been into our rooms from the inside!!
Pros: The chateau is located deep in the French countryside, so arriving to the property is much like a welcome oasis after walking through a desert. The weather was perfect for taking a walk, which we did on the chateau grounds, as well as just off the grounds. The room was cosy, but well appointed. We were want of nothing. We loved being able to open the windows and let in the cool night air.
Cons: It was a fine stay.
Pros: The location is awesome The restaurant is excellent The pool excellent The staff very friendly
Pros: Not much
Cons: Hotel scruffy around hotel, hotel room was so hot with no aircon. Golf course a joke, swimming pool dirty and grubby sun loungers
Pros: Lovely peaceful location. Very comfortable bed! Nice pool
Cons: The toilet in our room was small and lacked ventilation so was a little smelly Breakfast was ok but could have been more interesting

Pros: The Village/Town
Cons: Room very cold, one small electric radiator not adequate. Bathroom smelly including the towels, light not working View from room was a joke.... overlooked a derelict garden past its sell buy date. Was asked what we would like for breakfast, presented with a tick the box list. We opted to dine in the restaurant....big mistake....offered menu that had Duck, Duck or Duck................. while other diners had different meals including soup that I observed being served but not offered but refused to us even when asked for. I informed the staff that this was not good enough and that we would use a restaurant in the village 2-300 metres from the hotel. We returned to a cold room and throughout the night. AVOID JonH
