Pros: Excellent location for me. Very good value for money. Clean and pleasant.
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Nothing like the descriptions.
Cons: Toilet hoad no door!! Embarrassing!! Smelt musty and no restaurants in the village and the one bar closed at 7.
Pros: Spotlessly clean charming hostess fabulous room and air con a huge plus. Food both dinner and breakfast superb value
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Staff really friendly and made us feel welcome, there was also a bar and a resturant which is good is you have had a long journey.
Pros: The breakfast could not be faulted - it was simple but adequate and could not be faulted.
Cons: If I had one very small criticism - it was the bathroom loo had some unusual electric bio type flush system which if you went to the loo as is common in my age during the night - you need to be a pretty good sleeper to sleep through this giant aircraft taking off !!!
Pros: Very friendly staff, we arrived late due to a delayed flight and they were happy to serve us drinks. Thank you
Pros: This was a very quaint auberge which fulfilled all our expectations except that below. As we went out of season it was extremely quiet and for some that may be a problem but if it is peace and quiet you want then this is the place for you. You need a car that's for sure and as it was out of season the local bar in the square closed at 8pm and even earlier Saturday and not at all open on the Sunday. The host Sandrina was excellent and always on hand if you needed her. Overall the place is a very relaxing place which I would return to as it gave us a great base from which to see the areas of the Dordogne.
Cons: The only thing I can criticise was that the Auberge did not serve food in the evening on Friday Saturday or Sunday night which wasn't made clear when we booked. Sandrina did help us with a place for Friday night but we had to scrat around to find a place open Saturday and Sunday. That said it was out of season when we went and that may have been a factor. I can recommend the Pont Auberge for evening meals which we really enjoyed. It had a great menu choice and was good value for money with excellent service from a very friendly staff. So overall the Auberge was really good but guests need to bear in mind that out of season things to do are limited so for families I would not recommend but for couples who want a quiet break then this place is exactly that. Just one more thing there are stairs to climb to the bedrooms so if you are disability challenged then this might not be your cup of tea.
Pros: Good location and easy parking
Cons: A mirror in the bedroom would be useful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we visited.
Pros: BEAUTIFUL!! Fabulous country side idioc. My dream.
Cons: Very, very, very, very quiet!!!! We spent 2 days look for somewhere to eat., eventually we found a large town where we could eat. Very nice too.
Pros: The Grange Tranquille is the perfect site if you're looking for a nice and really quiet place to stay for a few days! David is a great and helpful host. It is fun to stay at the Grange snd meet other nice people. For visiting there are the Lascaux caves just an hour away! The pool is great for refreshing after a busy hot day!
Pros: It was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The family was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: It was a little remote for the older traveler along small roads. Not so easy in the dark. The stairs to the rooms were quite steep and narrow.
Pros: Directions very clear which enabled us to find the property easily. A very warm and friendly welcome from David. Clean, nicely decorated rooms and a good breakfast.
Pros: Very friendly host. Lovely house. Good breakfast. Generous hospitality
Cons: It was all fine
Pros: We stayed at the Le Granje Tranquile for just one night but it was a lovely experience. David, the host, is very kind and he makes you feel at home. The house is beautiful and the place is very calm and quiet.
Pros: We arrived on Sunday when most of France is shut, our host David treated us to beer and wine and advised us that a restaurant nearby would be open. What a great setting it was, overlooking a lake.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about the property.
