Casa de La Paca - Coca - Building
1
9.2 Excellent (132 reviews)
8.3 Excellent

Cons: It’s a bit noisy.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Owners attitude. Lack of privacy in room, poor overpriced frugal breakfast, served by, and watched by owner, unpleasant. Noisy, more like a dormitory than a hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed is super comfort! Very close to Castilla de Coca, plenty street parking
Cons: Breakfast is plain but it’s free
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, nice room, comfy bed.

Castilla Termal Balneario de Olmedo - Olmedo - Building
2
9.0 Excellent (1,303 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Olmedo, Castilla Termal Balneario de Olmedo is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Plaza Ulloa and Palacio Caballero de Olmedo. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: The food offered on the Spanish cafeteria menu is not listed in the same order as on the English version of the menu - which led to some interesting dishes being served - i.e. they were not the ones we ordered as the waitress used the position of the food on the menu as a direct cross reference ( a logical assumption) however this was not the case. Our Spanish was not good enough and her English was not good enough to work this our until after the event! We stayed for 3 nights. I am not impressed that this hotel (and others like it) charge the same for each night with no reduction for multiple night stays, so in my opinion that entitles guests to clean robes (especially as they were always wet from using the Spa) and fresh bottled water each day as is the case when you arrive for your first (and perhaps only) night's stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good, clean, comfortable room and bed. We also paid for the breakfast buffet, which offered a very good selection. The staff was professional and courteous. I would happily stay here again, but I might also explore other options in the area.
Cons: We opted to pay 23€/person for access to the thermal pool. While this was relaxing and enjoyable, I think this pricing is a little steep -- there is essentially only a single large pool whose temperature is fairly uniform throughout (i.e.: no hot tubs, etc.). We initially wanted to do one of the water circuits, but they informed us that you needed a group of at least 4, which was a disappointment.
7.1 Good
Cons: Access to the sauna and turkish baths were not included in the pool access which was disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hydrotherapy pool was great and very relaxing
Cons: The bathrooms in the public areas weren't up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel and need cleaning more often
5.6 Okay
Cons: Internet page did not reflect the actual location very well

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic building
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: The rooms were in an old building with lots of historical detail!
Cons: The walls are thin and the antique doors have cracks/space to look through. The guests are requested to be quiet but the spanish guests didnt seem to Care and talked loudly in the corridors after 01:00.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Very nice hotel and the restaurant attached to it is highly recommendable. Great steak with cheese sauce and we got top bottles of ‘digestif’ we could choose from. On top of all this, we got a bottle of wine when de left.
Cons: Staff does not really speak english but this is not a major problem.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, wonderful location
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Great place to get away from it all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: beautiful old building full of period pieces and antiques, comfortable bed, and cool shady garden excellent restaurant/cafe - best tapas EVER. lovely friendly staff but it would be much easier for spanish speakers.
Cons: the room was very small and the 'with balcony' made me expect a small outside space, but you couldnt sit on it. the shower cubicle has nowhere to put soap etc and as the shower attachment needs to be hand held, its a bit inconvenient. the emergency exit light over the door was a bit garish at night.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location and rustic decor
7.1 Good
Pros: Good historic location. Host with an ironic sense of humour.
Cons: Not much choice of restaurants and bars. Not shower curtain some lights not a functioning .

Pros: I had a perfect little balcony on which to relax and get some fresh air. I invited some friends up and we had a bottle of wine up there on a cool night. It was a great evening.
Cons: I didn’t love my shower head. It needs to be replaced, and I wish there were air conditioning, but neither was much of an issue.

Pros: Second time I've stayed here and will return. Great location from which to explore some lesser known regions of Spain, and the always extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff just make the trip even better. Property is also stunning tinged with history
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good price, big and comfortable room
7.5 Good
Pros: Quaint property! Storks nesting on the church roof!
Cons: Village of Chane in the middle of nowhere! Very, very quiet!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dinning room was nice
Cons: Theroom was very small. Twice I was given the wrong Wi Fi code scribbled on a piece of scrap paper!.
7.9 Good
Pros: We liked the 300 year old house which has been totally renovated. Also there is a restaurant on the property which is handy, as there aren't any choices near by. The weekday dinner menu is 12 euros which you should do. The restaurant is closed on Sunday however, so keep that in mind. We had big Tapas lunch which held us over until morning.
Cons: It would be handy if anyone spoke a little English, which makes communication uncomfortable sometimes. Also, not flexible on breakfast or dinner times. Very punctual. Breakfast the same every morning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and hotel in general and good choice of meals, except when closed on a Sunday, no meal option available
Cons: Cost of Meals and nothing on a Sunday its closed !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotels I have stayed at - great property, picturesque location, and the friendliest and best customer service! Will definitely return next year
Cons: Lack of hot water - but this is Spain so to be expected when living in a hot climate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming rustic atmosphere and the best T-none steak I’ve ever eaten! Set in a quiet village with gorgeous countryside. The landlady was not only lovely but a master chef.
Cons: Breakfasts are not a big deal on the Continent I know but perhaps a choice of cereals could be offered. A minor gripe however as I had a killer Sunday brunch on the Square in Valladolid.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Quite place. Independant house
Cons: Due to late arrival , door was closed and the contact was only speaking Spanish (no English, nor French). It has been very difficult to be understood and to get the door open and then the key of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place! And perfect for going with family, very quite, the owner was simphatic and worried about our staying in cava house, very recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely owner/manager who spoke perfect English and was very helpful
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Dream locations for family with kids. Attention to details and quality (we loved to beds!!). Great weekend option not too far away from Madrid.
Cons: Nothing really, orange juice in the morning breakfast if we have to pick something. But everything has been great from the moment we arrived and for all our stay.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Very little. The room had a 'rustic appearance' and the bed was comfy but had to ask for pillows, bathroom OK! and was clean. This property needs an urgent inspection by Booking. com before continuing to advertise via any media.
Cons: There is no sign /directions shown on the 'main road' The post code given by you is a position 20 kilometers away. Only 1 local person knew of the accommodation. No eat/drink facilities on site (tea-coffee) & no close eating place in the town. Whole site very run down and will be seeking compensation as this venue is definitely not fit for purpose/not value for money. The brochure in the room shows the property as it was many years ago. Electric wiring exposed and dangerous. The name given in Booking. com does not match the rustic sign on the property. We could not access the property when we arrived after spending a very long time searching as the gate to access was closed electronically and no personel at the time to open this! Unable to have an evening meal due to no provision in the area.

3.5 Mediocre
Pros: The bathroom small but clean
Cons: On check in they had no idea of our confirmation , We requested twin beds but was given a double , the top sheet was meant for a single bed so did not cover us , there was blood on one of the bath towels We requested extra pillows as my wife has neck problems ( being disabled ) the request was confirmed but was not applied I went to reception to get extra pillows and yes we got them but found them to be grubby ,went to reception to complain but there was nobody there Very sad as if run properly there is a lot of potential for it to be good
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful old building but badly converted, wonderful gardens, cleanliness just met.
Cons: Room very hot, bed small, bedside shelf falling, ...
4.2 Okay
Cons: we paid 12 euro for breakfast, we got coffee & toast ! When, after 20 minutes, i,went to find "PACO" he had left, the cleaner told me ,"finito". TV didnt work, Ants when we arrived , but "PACO" got spray

Cons: Breakfast was a bit Spartan, but filling nonetheless
7.5 Good
Cons: Trouble getting the heating up work, it was a very cold night
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Gran Posada La Mesnada - Olmedo - Bedroom
12
6.6 Good (295 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Olmedo, Gran Posada La Mesnada is just steps from Palacio Caballero de Olmedo and 3 minutes by foot from Plaza Ulloa. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The fact that they are welcoming of children and pets and generally friendly and helpful. The bathrooms have been recently renovated, so they're new and clean. It's really good value for money.
Cons: It's a period building, so it's beautiful but the walls are thin. We were traveling with a dog and a baby, so when the dog heard other guests he'd bark and wake the baby and subsequently annoy all the other guests.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The swimming pool was the only redeeming factor in this place.
Cons: This lodging is an insult to bookings.com. To start with, we had booked a 'suite'. When we arrived it was a scene from Faulty Towers, the owner and the receptionist contradicting each other, I speak and understand Spanish very well. One said there was a flood in our room. The other said that my booking had not been confirmed from Bookings.com's end. I argued that this was impossible. The owner then said that my name was weird and they could not decipher it. Then they said that they would find me another room [which was not the suite I had booked]. Later on I found out that the owner had friends over and gave them our suite. He said he would deduct it from the payment and he did, but in the process we found out he had taken money from our card for the payment of the suite before we had actually arrived on the location, without us having pinned our number etc. This has never happened to us before. During our trip this year we changed 20 hotels, all from Bookings.com, all exceptional, but this was the pits ! The room was actually a hut in the garden. We had to walk trough stones and soil, to get to it. No ventilation due to the fact that we were surrounded by trees which were full of insects and crawlies, so opening the window was out of the question. The room was clean but old, shabby and rundown. We asked to buy water and the owner answered in a rough tone which translates funny since the hotel is advertised as having a restaurant and bar, which are non-existent. This owner is cheating Bookings.com big time. Every year we book hotels for a 3 week trip at least, and this stay was definitely a let-down. Other commented on the breakfast, but believe you me, the poor breakfast was the last thing on our mind during this odd experience at Posada La Mesnada. I think it ought to be removed from Bokings.
4.6 Okay
Cons: They would not serve breakfast before 10am, so too late and I left without getting the breakfast that I had paid for.
