Cons: The weather!

Pros: Beautiful traditional french farm house. We stopped over night on our way to Italy from the UK. Ideal location as close to main motorways. The breakfast room is gorgeous as is the breakfast itself! We stayed in a double room called Ambre . It was simply stunning and amazing value for money! Thank you for welcoming us into your home we will be seeing you again on our next road trip!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored building so tastefully decorated, with interesting pieces of furniture - lots of character and a very charming garden. Our gorgeous hostess was very friendly and helpful and even booked us a dinner table in the nearby village, which was amazingly quaint. The breakfast was wonderful, great selection of fresh pastries, cold meats and cheeses, eggs and freshly squeezed juice and coffee. Lovely place to stay.
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like, but perhaps a fan in the room would have been nice to have in that heatwave.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully presented comfortable and super clean apartment and rooms. The most hospitable lovely host also made our stay totally enjoyable. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Difficult driveway entrance
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly host. Clean and modern rooms. The perfect stopover on the way to the Alps, just a few miles detour off the main road, and a huge supermarket and petrol station over the road so it was ideal to pick up supplies, refuel and hit the road again!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place for a stop over en route to the Alps. One downside was the LOUD music from the restaurant below.
Cons: Loud music from restaurant came up into the rooms. There is a speaker on the stairs up to the rooms
4.5 Okay
Pros: Not alot
Cons: Bedroom was up a stair case with vert short treads , and quite steep, all that was upstairs was the bed down stairs toilet bathroom and lounge Towels one each , no hand towels breakfast was no included in the rate , 120 euro
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spacious, very clean and well equipped
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Large sitting area with bed up a slender stairway to a higher level. Unfortunately, my wife had to sleep on the couch since she was afraid of navigating the narrow steps at night.
Cons: There was no wash basin in the toilet room, which was separated from the shower and lavatory
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything. The room was well done with all the conveniences you need. We had a fabulous dinner there. The staff was fantastic and the town very interesting. Great value for the money even if it is a little out of your way.
Cons: You would need transportation to get to the location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All round excellence. We were only using it as an overnight stop but had we been staying several days (is well placed for exploring the region) it had the facilities: a large separate lounge included within our room-suite, own terrace (although overlooking the quiet through road) the holiday maker would have plenty of private space to spread out in. Very good breakfast, friendly owners, nice outdoor communal terrace, secure parking. Exceptionally good value.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, about ten minutes from the highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room en big bathroom.
Cons: Technically it doesn't have two bedrooms. It has one (small) seperate bedroom and on the splitlevel is also a bed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic and staff very helpful, would certainly stop here again.
Cons: A little info booklet in the room would be a great help, in English and French with menu and breakfast costs etc, apart from that the problem.

Cons: No proper air-conditioning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel located in beautiful Burgundian countryside. Excellent dinner.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful Chateau, amazing renovation near a lovely, charming village. Some of the rooms are in Gites (rather than main chateau building) so suggest checking which room you are booking (we only found out upon check-in that we had booked a room in a Gite not the main Château). We had dinner in the restaurant one night & it was heavenly food, absolutely delicious but lacked atmosphere (we asked 4 times for the music to be switched on). it was difficult to communicate with waiting staff with such little English. Breakfast was ok, scrambled eggs were microwaved which I would never do personally, certainly not in a commercial setting. Scrambled eggs are so easy there is no need. The lady who works at the chateau is amazing, very professional and friendly. She really enhanced our stay. Our impression of the hotel was dramatically improved by her performance and high service standard. I hope the owners know what a gem they have working for them. The guy was a little less impressive, he failed to show us around on check-in & said there were no other rooms available in the main chateau (as we were very unhappy about being made to stay in a Gite) but two rooms suddenly became available at the change of staff when the lady came on duty. The rooms are beautiful and the owners have spent a lot of money on the place. The decor detail is exceptional, both in the chateau and the gites. It felt like very good value for money. I would recommend and happily return.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, quiet and although only there for one night a relaxing place to stay. Very quiet place to stay mid week, the hotel having less than 10 bedrooms.
Cons: Air conditioning rather than a fan would have been better. The restaurant is not open 7 days a week but it is only a short drive or taxi ride to Auxanne to find good food.,
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Dinner in hotel’s dinning room was very good; but, the hotel dining room has very limited days and hours of service.
Cons: No air conditioning; Our room required opening the windows in order to have any air movement; but, just below our windows was the hotel’s smoking terrace thus we ere subjected to tobacco smoke including cigar smoke floating into our room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Chateau was completely updated. Hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated and the park is vast. It is very near the vineyards of Burgundy. Staff are very welcoming.
Cons: For such a beautiful hotel it is unfortunate there is no air conditioning - we visited at a time when there was a heat wave. The duvet pillow could be complemented with soft support pillows.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very nice chateau - nice rooms & great outdoors + pool. Come here for calm & a wonderfull surroundings
Cons: The cold way of handeling people: The young receptionist did his best but you saw the influence of the unfriendly older (owner?) man. Already before arrival we had some misunderstandings where my opinion was that he couldn’t care less regarding our questions. The room was wrongly advertised on booking Upon arrival a huge deposit for a room that already has been paied for ... unacceptable. A baby of two almost had to pay for breakfast (???) The restaurant only open on thursday till sunday noon (was shown before) but a bit sad for a 4star location. I would come back for the chateau. But please get your standards up regarding communication & manners with your guests!

Pros: Comfortable, tasteful room with private terrace. The service we got at checking in, the lady that welcomed us was very helpful and collected some food for us as the restaurant was closed.
Cons: The woman at service at the breakfast was mainly busy with breakfast with her kids and ignored the guests. Big contrast with the night before.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was a good size and bathroom well appointed. Handicap facilities in bathroom

Pros: The suite of rooms was great, kept cool in the heatwave we had been experiencing. The beds were very comfortable, the place was quiet. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: We had asked specifically for a restaurant recommendation as we were there a Sunday night and were told that there were some chain restaurants close by - but they were all closed :-( We went a bit further and found a great Italian restaurant.

The strawberries were the best I've ever tasted. The bedroom was quite small but very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep in spite of a thunderstorm. Stephane puts love into everything he does.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I arrived on bike, by heavy rain and wet equipment, too early at the property. Lucky the manager was in so he let me take my room. Took care of my wet rainwear to have it dried in his laudry. As I was the only customer for the night be prepared a special dinner for me...!

Pros: Great little city centre Hotel next to the Cathedral. Recently refurbished, room small but nicely done, bathroom similarly well appointed. Be sure to eat dinner in the restaurant, really well prepared food with good value and choice.
Cons: The church bells are a little close by, although they do shut them off overnight. It was a hotel first for me, in that its shut until 17.00 each afternoon....very French!!. Auxonne is a very quiet town, that seems to be mainly closed most of the time, so an overnight stay is about right.

Pros: Used as a stop over and for that it was perfect. Yes the room and facilities are a bit basic but for the price it is impossible to complain. Room was clean and very quiet and just outside Dole which was an interesting little town and well worth a visit.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Friendly personnel (one lady) in the breakfast room.
Cons: The plastic shower was dirty, full of hair of the prior guest. We booked a room with three sleeps. A bunk bed. You had to make the high bed yourself by climbing onto it or by standing on the double bed which only worked as I am very tall. The gentleman at the reception on asking why the bed has not been made answered: That’s the way it is! Make it yourself. Also, on arrival the code to our room door did not work. It took a lot of time for someone to help and get a new code. Not what you want after an eight hours drive.
