Pros: Wonderful decorating and linens! The extra, fuzzy blanket on the bed was so great for a cozy read. Lots of storage was nice and there were enough plug ins. It was great to have an elevator the shower was easy to use and very nice..
Cons: I can’t think of a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a sweet place. Spotlessly clean. Smells clean and IS clean. I reserved a private room for one person and got a double bed. I contacted property via bookings help line to ask if I could drop my backpack off earlier (at 11am) as check in time is 2pm. I received msg to say ; “of course you can”. When I arrived ., Sandra was so easy, friendly and kind. My room was almost ready at 11am so she checked me in then. This was great. I could get myself sorted and make the most of my day in the most beautiful city. So much culture history and great food. The whole property is a breeze to access. The decorations are really sweet.
Cons: I liked it all. The only thing one ‘might ‘ comment on was size /space. Perfect for me but may be small bathroom if you’re a large man.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean cozy and well run. Best hostel for the money I have ever seen in Spain.
Cons: Really great place. Only problem I could find was a very strong sweet chemical smell upon entering the hostel.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Simple let yourself in and out of building with electronic key. Breakfast in bar next door. Hotel compact but right in the heart of the city parking a cinch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design lovers take note: Architect-renovated historical property with high-end finishes, terrific comfort and very friendly and helpful staff. The location is ideal - very central in the old town, on a quiet plaza off of the pedestrian Santa Clara street and near several areas with terraces and tapas bar. The owners offer very personalized service and provide a list of restaurant recommendations in the room. Breakfast isn`t offered, but there is a mini bar in the room and a small supermarket across the street.
Cons: I wouldn`t have changed a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and close to all the sights. An underground parking garage is a block away. The property has been tastefully and thoughtfully remodeled. We especially enjoyed the art displayed throughout the building. (A big cut above what one normally sees in hotels). There were many nice touches and provisions such as slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was an outstanding value for the price charged.
Cons: Within a block of the hotel are three after hours bars. One closes at 3:30 am. The other two close at 4:30 am. There were crowds of people on the street in front of the bars making a lot of noise. We were awake between about 2:30-4:30 until it quieted down. It was an unpleasant surprise to an otherwise very positive experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Súper clean, great location and rooms a good size.
Cons: There was nothing not to like
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Clean, comfortable and excellent service

Pros: What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Initially we weren't too sure but when we arrived and entered the hotel we knew this was a little gem. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bike storage was not an issue. The decor of the hotel was very nice, particularly the breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent. Location was super, just a few minutes from the old centre. Highly recommend this hotel
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff, beds, breakfast all good. Location immediately across from old wall entrance to old town convenient, and free public parking lot at 6he front door.
Cons: Wierd smell in lobby some times. Dunno what but smelled it again at 4am in our room on 3rd floor. Then upon waking at half past Seven no odor. So go figure. But it was something?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, comfy beds, good value for money. Friendly helpful staff who spoke English and secure parking. Lovely breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very cleverly set up, space is really well used and it has many good ideas such as the common areas with beverages and the automatic check in process which can turn out to be quite useful.
Cons: It's a pity you cannot choose a room with a view to the walls. You have to request it when booking and then you are subject to availability. I don't know about managing hotels, but I don't see any downsides to charging a bit more for rooms with a view rather than leaving it to the travellers luck, which is a very unsatisfying experience. Especially because you know you are paying the same money than somebody that has a much nicer view.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor and good rooms
Cons: Outside appearance & surrounds rather poor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast in a lovely room. Good bedroom. Parking outside was free and secure.

Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant was amazing and they treated us really well and looked after the kids. Room and hotel facilities really great. Destination charger right under the hotel in the garage which was handy.
Cons: Some ants in the room and a bit weird that a bottle of cold wine is left in the room with no bottle opener. We didn't want to drink it but... What's the point ??? Also the phone in the room makes no sense. If you press the button for reception it doesn't work. You have to type in the number next to it. Bit confusing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attentive staff. Great breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great design, location and aesthetic. Clean throughout and very well appointed and laid out. Receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English. Parking
Cons: Spa prices are too expensive There are 2 menus but you must eat from a particular menu in its designated restaurant/room. There is a restaurant with lovely views a terrace and a limited menu. There is a more extensive menu which is served in the breakfast room which is an adapted conference room. Even though the hotel was very quiet we had to sit in the converted conference room on our own to eat from the menu with a greater selection . Yet the restaurant was empty, when we asked could we sit in the dining room or outside on the terrace we were told it was not possible !! For breakfast which was great, we had to sit in the empty conference room again to dine and we were not given the option of having breakfast on the terrace which would have been nice. These points could be easily identified and acted upon by management and they would make for a more pleasurable stay. The shower in the room is designed poorly - wet floor Poor selection of English speaking TV channels for a 5 star hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Classic Parador - location; service; room & food
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Excellent location.
Cons: No air conditioning in whole of hotel at this time of year despite being advertised as a facility available. Room very hot and stuffy - over 25 degrees C. No way of cooling the room except sleeping with window wide open all night. Raining outside and workmen early morning. Very noisy. Night receptionist couldn’t do anything to help. Dreadful nights sleep ahead of a long day’s drive the next day. Chose high quality hotels as part of our trip across Spain and we were looking forwards to staying here but very let down by the hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: We loved the building and its light and spacious feel, plus all the architectural details. We upgraded to a suite for a small sum and it was well worth it. The lounge area was pretty and comfortable and both rooms had a wonderful view of the Douro. We liked the proximity to the town and we felt safe. Parking was cheap and just around the corner (if you didn't opt for hotel parking, that is) It cost us 2 euros against the 18 euros the hotel was asking to park it underground. The bar area looked nice with its terrace in the sun. The pool was closed but I'm sure it is rather nice in season.
Cons: The bed was large but so hard! I've literally had backache all day today! The other really, REALLY irritating thing was that the restaurant didn't open until 8.30 (which I understand is the norm for Spain) and we were very hungry, having been driving all day with no stop. We booked a table for opening time and when we sat down, two minutes later there were some huge parties of tourists who had pre-ordered their food came to join us. Service was slow and there were not many staff. When we got our bill we had been charged €129 - our actual bill was €59. It was a big disappointment for us and we wished we had eaten elsewhere in the town. It is also much too bright ... turn off those spotlights in the ceiling and introduce some ambience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very nice and helpful. Excellent value for money.
Cons: Not a thing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a revisit to this lovely , centrally located parador. The staff were, as usual, very efficient and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the parador is well looked after. Very near to the central plaza of this lovely town. Easy parking which is important to us as we were travelling by motorbike.
Cons: Nothing, we will definitely visit again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Splendid old building, typical parador. Regrettably our ferry was very late, so we didn't arrive in time for dinner - but breakfast was excellent. The room was large and comfortable - good bathroom. Front desk very helpful in finding us parking nearby (garage was full, but we parked at the back of the hotel easily for 2 euros!). Location very convenient - a short walk took you along pedestrianised streets to shops, and this is a charming old city. We used it only as a one night stop en route to Portugal, and would certainly do so again.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location next to the theatre and five minutes from the main square. Beautiful Palace with large bedrooms and bathrooms.
Cons: Bit mean to charge for water in the room. Paradise always used to include two bottles - with and without gas

7.1 Good
Pros: Close to the bus station and clean. Facilities well-kept and new-ish. Quiet.
Cons: Far from the cathedral and old town. Though in principle could have checked-in anytime 1 - 11 pm, was hurried up so that it could suit the receptionist's (who was probably also the owner or owner's daughter) needs (lunch and possibly siesta). Apparently fashionable practice in the region, unfortunately.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms and immaculately clean
Cons: It was all good.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is EXCELLENT. It is next to La Colegiata, and a block away from La Esquina de Las Colas (best restaurant in Toro). The terrace of the Malaspina restaurant, the hotel's restaurant, is a great place to have a drink with an astonishing view of the valley. The staff are very lovely and accommodating. We were very charmed by this place. We will return!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy hotel, with beautiful decoration details and beautilful open hight views. Very close to museums, churches and mayor plazas and Wine tasting shops (Toro is a mayor wine maker town in Spain). The room was a nice size and with a nice size bathroom. The town is gourgeous to walk and visit. Recente new owers are doing a great job to made this hotel great! The front desk customer service was great and very helpful.
Cons: The Roman Bridge with waterfalls at the perimeter of the city is abandoned, lacks of maintenance, fenced and hard to reach it! Plus the flyes and smell from fabela's houses next to this area kills this turistic attraction (and fortunately not close at all to this hotel Juan II).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are spaceous, the bathroom is big. The view from the balcony is stunning. The location is perfect.
Cons: The walls are thin, and the fixtures somewhat dated.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is lovely with beautiful views over the river valley. Our room was comfortable with two double beds. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but found lovely bars in the main square and an excellent restaurant - Carpe Diem - highly recommended. Nice breakfast in the main square.
Cons: Parking is tricky outside the hotel with cars maneuvering to get into the spaces, as the road is quite narrow. On arrival, there was no-one in Reception and we ended up phoning the hotel to draw attention to ourselves. The corridor where our room was located had a strong smell of smoke and some of the rooms were clearly "smokers". The swimming pool has steps only going down into the deep end so not suitable for anyone who does not like to go out of their depth though I suppose you could just lower yourself down over the edge at the shallow end. The bar/restaurant was extremely busy on a Sunday. We went there for a late night drink after dinner and the waitress had not heard of a wine that was listed on the wine list left in our room. All in all, expensive for what it was.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and central to the town
Cons: Tricky to find because of all the one way streets
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful large room, double aspect overlooking the river valley on one side and the Church on the other. Large very comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The room and the rest of the hotel very clean. Good, free parking right outside the hotel. The hotel is situated only a few metres from the main street with plenty of good bars and restaurants. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Sunday evening, there was a set dinner for 16 Euros, which included three courses, water, and a bottle of wine between two. Whilst the choice was fairly limited, the food was good, and at that price, a bargain. We had our pet dog with us, he was made welcome, and there were some good walks from the hotel. We will certainly return.
Cons: A fridge would have been handy to keep drinks cool, but other than that, nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent position in the heart of the old town, very close to bars, restaurants and shops. Although becoming slightly dated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and helpful and are on hand 24hrs. There are lovely views down the river valley from some of the rooms.
Cons: A fridge would be useful. On the night we stayed there was a lot of noise from a function in the downstairs bar / function room, which went on until 3.30 am !

Pros: This was the best room we had out of the nine hotels we stayed in (and they were all good). We had the top room at the front, with the floor to ceiling windows and it was spectacular. The quality of light in the room was outstanding - never been in a hotel room quite like it. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable in all respects. Great view.
Cons: Nothing I can recall.

Pros: Very welcoming, a lovely room at the front overlooking the Plaza Mayor. Although it was a Feria the Hotel Bar and restaurant remained open unlike a lot of the other places in town. Very friendly staff. Excellent Hotel!

Pros: Everything. The gentleman who booked us in was truely fantastic, couldn’t have done more for us. The hotels proximity to the city centre is brilliant. Breakfast was excellent. I’ll be staying here again if ever I get the chance to do so
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel...a little walk into town but our stay coincided with a fantastic choosing concert of international folk music which wad awesome. Lovely town....
6.7 Good
Pros: Secure garage parking for our motorbike. Availability of room service, albeit with a limited menu The room had air-con. Breakfast was pretty good - with a reasonable selection
Cons: The restaurant was closed - which we hadn't been told in advance The area is unexciting. The old town is not too far a walk way I believe, but we were tired and couldn't be bothered to go and find it. It felt like a primarily business hotel that was almost empty, felt deserted, because it was a Friday night.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, Clean rooms, but not clean caredor, nice breakfast, free wifi, They don't provide you the iron in the room, you ask for it, also the same as shaving kit

6.7 Good
Pros: Room was spacious enough
Cons: No wifi in rooms, contrary to advert. Would not have booked if had known this. Breakfast very poor. Staff took 20 min to give me correct wifi password
5.4 Okay
Pros: Room size, Parking, Air conditioning
Cons: We don't speak Spanish so choosing a property where we can communicate at least at a basic level is important. The listing incorrectly states the staff speak English. This resulted in issues not being able to be resolved. Wifi is only in public areas which is fine except when not advised of a function on the premises making it very uncomfortable with guests showing up while trying to plan our ongoing travel. Other posts indicated the breakfast was 'superb'. We found the 'Continental breakfast included' to be basic and when we checked out were surprised at a charge for a 2nd coffee.
