I enjoyed the entire experience of my stay at your lovely hotel, in particular the setting of your chateau is very beautiful, the dining experience was terrific, I would be delighted to recommend this location to friends. Thank you. There was a misunderstanding re the accommodation in my case. I understood from the internet that it was possible to have three people stay in one room, that did not turn out to be the case and as a result our stay was a little more expensive than we had budgeted for.
Impressive building and location. The differential in price between the various grades of rooms was not justified.
Splendid location - meals, including breakfast were good. Rooms comfortable and well appointed
The location, facilities and setting are excellent. Dinner in the brasserie was good value with a good selection of wines. N/A
peace, quiet, views my partner was sick after our first meal at the hotel. obviously this was rather unpleasant.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the brasserie and restaurant was excellent. The room in the relais was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. The golf courses come right up to the hotel with no other grounds to walk or relax in. Breakfast was not good - fruit salad had been made several days and croissants, etc ran out by 9.15am.
The hotel was beautiful and authentic. It was in an idyllic location, surrounded by vineyards and a golf course in the middle of the country. Our room was quite large and we had an amazing meal in the Brasserie. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The location is in the countryside, so a drive to any of the towns, such as Bergerac.
Superb room, great food and beautiful scenery. None!
the location is very peaceful and the views were lovely no room service
A lovely establishment in the middle of the Entre-deux-mers wine region east of Bordeaux. Beautiful deluxe room with comfy bed and lovely bathroom with nice roomy shower. Restaurant is first class, service is all one could ask. Great rural location - incredibly quiet at night, lots of stars. Splendid sunrise and sunset. Went at end of season, so had full attention of staff.
Beautiful views of vineyard, hills, forestry. Spacious patio and large pool. Very nice reception, excellent restaurant. Nicely decorated room and large clean bathroom with amenities. Window opens to a beautiful view of the country. Can be a little difficult to find. The mattress needs replacing; could feel springs.
Immaculately presented small hotel with an excellent dining room, setin beautiful vineyard countryside; remote and peaceful. Friendly and attentive service Pity the swimming pool was not in use
peaceful location (rural), stunning views (across the valley/vineyards) - staff (All speaking English & French) were extremely helpful making our stay stressless and very comfortable - food in the restaurant first class and extensive wine list - we had no trouble finding the hotel using google map printouts I took before travelling. just one thing - having to pay extra for breakfast - but this is very common in France (would prefer an all inclusive deal).
The quiet, the views, the quality of the cuisine, clean modern rooms, the pool. the expensive animal supplement - 14 euros.
I arrived very late and the staff kept some hot food for me and was very helpfull. The whole hotel looks great even if I did not have the time to check everything. I have to say that if you follow the map you will receive by email, then it is quite easy to find the hotel. not much except the TV in the room was very small
Quiet and upmarket No fridge and I would imagine in the height of summer would be very hot (we saw a large fan!)
The staff were most pleasant and helpful. Not easy to locate by postcode.
Excellent hotel with great food No
Top class hotel with plenty of facilities and an excellent restuarant. Thought it was a bit over priced.
Great location, lovely hotel with very friendly staff Honestly, there were no bad points
The bedrooms were to small and in need of renovation.
Friendly family hotel to which we were returning after a gap of 20 years! Could do with a face-lift....but restaurant excellent.
no tea making facilities
The swimming pool and the appearance of the dinning room Rather small rooms - cetainly no room for king bed
Traditional French hotel, the way they used to be. Nice little town. Good restaurant. You could stay here for weeks, it would be lovely. Aircon for when it gets hot. Room 17 is small suite, with separate room for kids. Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted it to be.
A very pleasant stay, in a comfortable room at a realistic price. Secure car parking in the centre of Duras was a bonus
Excellent restaurant, very good food
Great location with nice restaurant and pool. Probably as good a 2 star hotel I've ever found No one spoke english, which is surprising as its a tourist hotel. Also, whilst the staff were O.K. they were not overly polite or helpful. When we booked in and out, staff watched as my wife and I struggled with our luggage. Very surprised with that behaviour!!
This is a typically French hotel with a swimming pool in a nice garden setting. Proud owners, keen to please. Nice restaurant, with good service and food. Comfortable rooms - quiet, and not too modern.
The simplicity of French accommodation. Situated conveniently near to the station if a little noisy. Menu du jour was substantial. Friendly staff who spoke English rather better than our poor French! Location on the street meant that it was noisy in the morning but that was expected.
The room was clean and comfortable, large bathroom with a window that you could open. For the price the the breakfast was poor. No choice of fruit, yoghurt, cake, or cheese.
It was great, nice and helpful/welcoming host and hostess, a clean and comfortable room, an excellent and very good value meal in the evening. This is not a luxury hotel as the price indicates, it is however pleasant and quiet.
It was cheap and friendly, and provided a welcome break in a long car trip. It was exactly what we were looking for.
As we depended on rail travel, the Hotel was well situated opposite the Railway station; however access to the town was 5 minutes, so it was situated. The Hotel owners were very attentive and helpful. The Hotel is fairly basic, but is a good base.
Please write at least 15 words if you do arrive at the given check-in-times, but not at a specific time (which is not mentioned in advance) you have to wait outside of the hotel, call a french phone number and wait for about a half hour...
A cozy fireplace, wine made by the owners and a dinner with the owners (made by the owners)and other guests at a common table. Everything was excellent. We had a bit of trouble with understanding each others language, but there was an Englishman who was also a guest who could also speak French.
Good basic accommodation – excellent for an overnight stay - clean rooms - Free parking & good Wi-Fi connection -close to a variety of wine villages, car essential, as it is not within walking distance of anything [which we knew before we booked]
Manager helpful and polite; accommodation very clean. I appreciated being placed at the rear of the building, away from traffic noise.
Good working free internet and Parking. Bathroom was the same as one on a Ferryboat, a small cabin. Far too expensive for what you get. It is really as they mention only 13 M2
The hotel was exactly as advertised and the perfect stop-over for my purpose, and the staff were extremely helpful I like to have a bedroom window that opens so that I have the option of fresh air or air-conditioning.
Friendly staff. Warm room We drove to Bergerac looking for the hotel and were miles away.Very misleading calling it West Bergerac. Not very happy about that. Room was very small and only accessible from the outside. So good on a nice day but not when it was pouring with rain.
excellent motel style rooms, clean comfortable and friendly staff.
Politeness, genuine goodwill, and excellent value for money.
Convienent location for our suprise trip to visit family and friends. No.
