The helpful friendly staff nothing
Excellent and friendly hotel. Comfortable 3-rooms accommodation ether like a flat. Great breakfast at comfortable area. Beach or the center of the town is easy reachable by walk in 15-20 minutes. This is a place where to return and to get a feeling of 2 weeks’ vacation in 3 days.
The Hotel has a very friendly atmosphere, clean and well furnished. Hotel owner very friendly and always there to help and answer questions. Would recommend the hotel to friends. Had a lovely weekend...Many thanks.... Coffee could have been a little stronger ;-)
Staff very friendly and accomodating - location was close to the beach and very accessible by both road and train. Not particularly value for money - but little competition or alternative
you feel like in a village and the people are very nice!
It is a nice, quiet and confortable hotel. Service is good and we were satisfied with our stay. The hotel is ideal for families. A garden with children playground and a nice small warm swimming pool are available. Different restaurants nearby and a sand beach at about 1km. Possibility to rent bikes at 500m, with nice trips possibilities through the island. A good place for a relaxed holidays.
Cleanliness of our room and size of the room (very big)
Big room, very clean, helpful and professional staff - I would stay there again.
Very good service. Nice clean and quiet place You had to pay extra in order to use the sauna.
Lovely location. Clean and bright rooms. Good evening meals available.
The staff at Hotel Eickstädt is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean. Good breakfast buffet. Nice and quite area, close to the beach and the little forest. From outside the hotel looks a little desolate (just a white cube). There is a slight smell of humidity in the rooms.
The quitness, view
overall quality good, restaurant good reception staff reclusive; they seemed to think it our fault they put us on the 'wrong' floor with our two dogs, which were with us as we checked in and had been noted on our booking.
Very nice rooms, everything very clean. Staff acts professional. We had booked a Luxury Room and asked for a quiet one. The hotel is located on a quiet street with spees-limited traffic. We then were given a street-side room were cars were driving by all night and trucks early in the morning. If you're sensitive about noise - especially if you like to sleep with the windows open, don't book unless you're guaranteed a garden-side room (where the parking lot is). The TV is old and cheap. The food at their restaurant was not worth its price. Fortunately there are plenty of food places nearby. We had to walk forever to stick our toes in the north sea waters. I would wish there would be a coffee maker in the room like it's custom at every hotel in the world, even less pricey ones.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet and coffee bar very good. Did not care about the main entrance being open till late at night without anybody present to check who entered the facilities. Lighting on parking lot and walkway to hotel needs improvement.
Though still under construction when we were there July 13-15, it is a charming, relaxing, cozy inn decorated in both traditional Friesen style with lovely blue and white tile restaurant and modern beach chic bedrooms in white and willow hues. My husband and I had a room with view over the meadow and sea while our son's view was of an inner garden area. The food served both in the restaurant and on an outdoor patio was excellent; fresh and beautifully served which surprised us since the Hallig is so remote. The owners/staff were very flexible about when it was served, meaning we were able to eat their breakfast/lunch after a very long sleep in after 11am and dinner, consisting of 2 choices every night, well into the evening. They do not have bikes at the hotel. We had to rent them from an unreliable source which was a 3/4 hour walk from the hotel. Bikes are essential on the Hallig and I highly recommend they offer them for rent on the premises.
The booking information was confusing. When I booked I wanted two rooms, one for my husband, Ted Frey and myself, Anne Spanier. I also wanted a room for 2 granddaughters. When we arrived they gave us two appartments about 50 meters from the hotel. The reservation information was not clear. So we got two separate apartments, which was unecessary and expensive. Two young girls do not need a separate apartment. Of course, what could we do? We accepted the reservation and said nothing. We ate at the hotel and nothing else. The apartments were quite nice.
