Cons: This is a fabulous small hotel in a fabulous location with features and rustic decoration which are art to the eyes. All this is matched with excellent service and food from the couple who run it and who make you feel so comfortable. I traveled there by motorbike and the surrounding roads are a treet to ride. I aim to stay there again and will take my wife so she can share this delightful place and hosts

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This gorgeous casa rural has a delightful entrance hall and a friendly welcome to match. The room was lovely and spacious. The location is very quiet and handy for the local bar. The breakfast was better than most during our trip.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Value for money, excellent service and breakfast. Excellent tapas bar with menu after 8pm only 100m away. Ideal for overnight travellers.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was the most comfortable on the Via de la Plata!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved staying at Los Postigos. The property is incredibly charming, with a natural spring running through the living room. The bedroom we stayed in was incredibly clean, as was the bathroom. We stayed two nights, and the room was cleaned very well when we were out for the day, as well. The location in the beautiful town was perfect, with a tapas bar a few doors away and a few minutes walk to the Roman Baths/Spa (which we visited and highly recommend the Roman Circuit). We were woken in the morning by the sounds of birds chirping and an amazing view over the mountains. The town/location is very peaceful and the typical architecture makes for wonderful, peaceful walks. Other guests were staying in the property, but it was incredibly quiet (so much that we were surprised to see so many people in the breakfast room) The arrival was very relaxed and easy, and so was checkout. Staff were friendly, though not at the property all the time. Breakfast was good, and the owner was incredibly adaptable when we asked if we could have access to a slightly earlier coffee due to our appointments at the Roman Baths. A wonderful place to stay and we will be recommending to friends and family.
Cons: We were happy with everything. The bathroom in our bedroom was small, but had decent water pressure and caused us no problems.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, historic rural home. Spacious, comfortable room. Warm, hospitable owner who provided us with a scrumptious breakfast.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Air conditioning would have been good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect little casa with lots of charm. Definitely recommend
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was charming, a lovely ancient building dating back to the 1800s, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. It was tricky finding the front entrance at first, but a quick call found me at the back door by mistake. The proprietor spoke a little English which was a real bonus as I don't speak Spanish. And because I had my little dog with me, I appreciated the ease in which I could enter/exit the hotel. The location is really terrific if you want to be right in the center of things in this little, active village, and the proximity to tapas bars and shops makes it ideal.
Cons: The noise was brutal, both inside and outside the hotel unfortunately. The plumbing was such that the use of toilets and showers in other rooms sounded like they were right next to me, inside my room, and far louder than I've experienced when sharing a room with friends in other hotels. I was particularly sensitive because I had my little dog with me and she was frightened by all the noise (voices, clomping up and down stairs, loud voices outside on the street, two other barking/crying dogs whose owners had clearly left them in the room unattended, and the waterfall plumbing) but, in truth, even if I hadn't had her with me, I would have had just as rough a time coping with the noise. Thank God my dog didn't contribute to the noise but instead just hid under the bed, shaking, half the night. If it weren't for that, I'd absolutely come back.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building with beautiful tranquil garden and views - sat under the shade of a fig tree drinking beer was the highlight of my trip! Shower rooms and toilet clean and modern. Bar Carlos nearby for excellent food and drink and exposed rock/water feature :-) Lovely historic village with half timbered buildings on Via de la Plata (hence exhibition in Albergue) with Roman Baths. Although no bar in Albergue there was a drinks machine including cold beer.
Cons: Bunk beds can be a challenge and one did not have a guard for children or drunken sleepers :-), but these are of course basic dorm rooms so be aware. Breakfast would have been nicer with real bread and not sliced white which is an anathema to some, self included, but a boon to others!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very good albergue for doing the camino to Santiago. They have a nice garden and a place to stall your bike. There are three rooms of each four beds. In the building is also a 'centro de interpretación' which explains the history of the Via de la Plata in Extremadura. Breakfast is included. Nearby are good places to eat. Baños is a quiet, cosy old town in a beautiful region.

Even helped me put my backpack on.
Cons: I thought the wifi was annoyingly week. I had to keep moving about and logging in again . The insert card to activate lights is a system at many hotels but I find it frustrating when you’re exiting in the dark. Hard to find the lock to open the door. It would have been cosier if there had been a spare blanket it the room. I like to know I’ll remain warm overnight when the auto heat cuts out.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean room, comfy bed and good choice of tapas in bar.nothing
Cons: Nothing .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well positioned just off the A66 through central Spain. It is pin clean and the staff are excellent. Excellent dog walking area opposite the hotel and easy parking. There is a tapas bar attached offering excellent bites and super tasty red wine at a VERY fair price. Recommended!
Cons: There is not much to dislike. The electronically controlled lighting and shutter system is a little baffling, and eggs/bacon for breakfast would be nice. At €80 for double room and pet, the cost is toward the upper end of the cost scale for hotels at this level in central Spain.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good size room, clean and quiet.
Cons: Internet was intermittent, I spent 2 hours doing what should have taken 10 minutes, despite the efforts to fix it by the man on reception, very frustrating. The lights in the room are supposed to be on some sort of sophisticated system, but they come on when you don't want them and turn off when you do. Press the switch by the bed and the motorised window blind starts up!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a great stop off for us traveling from Duquesa to Santander . Staff were really friendly, food in the restaurant was excellent. I would definitely stay here again. Great for dogs , great path /disused railway track for walks across the road.
Cons: Was only 1 pillow per person !!! ( personally I like 2 pillows!) but above all was truly great , very clean .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a hidden gem for an overnight stay with an excellent restaurant and friendly staff. There is a walking path across the street where the rail station used to be. The path goes directly to the small town in an uphill climb (less than 15 minutes).
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

Pros: Very comfortable room and very accommodating as we had our 8 mth old labrador with us. We ate in the bar of the bistro and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The main restaurant doesn't open until 9.15pm which is late for us, would have preferred it to be open nearer to 7pm. Not so bad as we ate in the Bistro bar.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds and a high standard of cleanliness. Good to have both a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant food is good quality and the tapas we tried were excellent. The old railway line across the road is good for a walk to the old town which is pretty but comprises vertical rather than horizontal streets. The hotel is very close to the motorway with easy access on and off. Reverse your car onto the parking area as it can be quite busy when you're trying to leave.
Cons: We had been up since 5am so found it a long wait till 9pm for an evening meal but that's to be expected in traditional areas of Spain. Shower attachment kept flying out of holder. Interesting control panel. Lights seemed to have a mind of their own but the temperature control was reliable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient for us driving down to Portugal. Good dog walking very near.
Cons: Hard mattresses
