10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has been one of the best places I've ever been! The host Geneviève is adorable and very hospitable. We immediately felt at home and this was even before we saw our room. It really exceeded our expectations. Geneviève has decorated the place with her heart & soul (it's her profession as well ;-)) and we wandered around the place falling from one surprise into the other and eventually we fell in love with the house (and a little bit with Geneviève as well). Breakfast is a real treat, whatever you can think about for breakfast, Geneviève had it and most of it was home-made.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All our family, including our two young children, absolutely loved this property. Our room was super spacious, with two sleeping areas, a sitting area and bathroom. So much thought has gone into the furnishings and the decoration and we loved the style of the whole property. The owner Genevieve was so friendly and welcoming to us and she makes the place extra special. And the breakfast was delicious and very plentiful!
Cons: The Wifi was rather erratic and slow but this wasn't a major issue for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location in the beautiful old village of Penne d'Agenais is ideal, with easy free parking in the square. The bedroom was lovely and spacious with interesting and attractive decor. The bed was really comfortable with big soft pillows. There was also a good-sized and comfy sofa. The bathroom was also spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was superb with homemade jams, fruit 'soup', brioche, cereal bread and caramelised apples, local croissants and pain au chocolat, and smoked ham and cheese - an absolute feast! The proprietor speaks excellent English and knows the area intimately so can provide any required information. She is very welcoming and an excellent cook, having previously run the Maison sur la Place as a restaurant.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Geneviene, our hostess and property owner, was helpful and provided useful suggestions and tips on area sites. The hotel was selected by us for its central location to a number of major medieval villages and chateaus in the area. The hotel location is in the center of Penne d'Agenais, a quiet and quaint village, with public parking just at its doorstep. The room was clean, large, and tastefully decorated with the personal touches of the owner. Breakfast was generous with fresh breads, fruit and homemade yogurt and toppings. The hotel was a welcome and restful retreat after a day of touring.
Cons: The hotel and its location in the village is excellent. however, the village is quiet with minimal nightlife and a limited numbers of restaurants.

Pros: The atmospheric interior, the spaciousroom, the very friendly hostess
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful Chambre d'hôte! The room was incredible, contemporary, culture crawling design throughout the house. Comfortable, quiet, welcoming, caring and considerate. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have had across all of France! Loved the doggy 'Gudulle' and wanted to take with me :) The bathroom, on a duplex level is fit for a queen! Was able to park right outside. I wish to come back in the future and I definitely will.

Pros: The stuation was loveily. Very rural but a truely peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Our hosts were extremely hospitable, friendly and attentive to our needs. They were also, good fun and took interest in us. We were travelling with an elderly relative who was given lots of attention and enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool.
Cons: Nothing really. Finding our way there was tricky as it is in a very rural situation, satt navs not picking up the address, so, we were a little stressed before we finally found it! The stress subsided very quickly!

Pros: Very spacious, roomy apartment with all facilities clean and in good working order. The breakfast was good and plenty to eat. A high point was the delicious, beautifully presented dinner that Crystal cooked for us one evening.
Cons: We happened to be there during exceptionally hot weather, and so the lack of air conditioning was a little disappointing. But the bed was large and very comfortable and we managed quite well.

Pros: This is a beautiful spot run immaculately by hostess Annick and her family. We could only stay for one night (alas) but had a blissful time for the brief time we were there enjoying the swimming pool, the beautiful environment and Annick's amazing cooking. Her table D'Hote dinner was delicious as was breakfast (which you serve yourself from a well-stocked buffet while gazing out at the fields beyond). Everything is very well thought out, from the kitchenette by the pool to the children's play area. Wonderful.
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large pool Honesty bar
Cons: I was surprised to find that only cash payment is accepted - I don't recall seeing that anywhere on the Booking.com website; and it certainly didn't mention it on my booking confirmation. Slightly embarrassing when checking out!

Pros: Really friendly and very helpful owner. My Glamping Pod was very clean. The whole place is extremely clean. Arrived after having caught a 1am ferry from Dover and driven through the night. Bed was really comfortable and I slept like a log. The showers are really great!!
Cons: Travelling on my own this time, wish my wife and kids were here. They would have loved the games room with table football, pool table and table tennis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is beautiful and also quiet. The room is large and very well equipped. There is lots of equipment to keep you entertained during the day and evening if you stay in. Annick and Luc were wonderful hosts and Annick is a great cook. There was a fantastic buffet breakfast and Annick cooks a delicious dinner if required... but you need to tell her at breakfast if you want it. There are a plenty of places to visit close by and enough restaurants within 15 mins drive if you wish to have variety. This is a quiet area of France so you just have to do a bit of research to find them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everthing! What a beautiful place! And the owner, Annick, could not be anymore accomadating. She was wonderful. The kitchen was perfect, there was lots to do and even a baby room for the little one to play. The accommodation was beautiful.

Pros: Wonderful hosts - so friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. We were attending a wedding in nearby Savignac-sur-Leyze and, although the property is fairly rural, taxis were arranged to/from the wedding with no problem. We would absolutely visit again, hopefully for longer next time so we can fully enjoy the beautiful location!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is stunning, overlooking the river Lot. The accommodation is rustic, quirky, spacious and spotlessly clean. There are only 2 bedrooms, so it wouldn’t be suitable for a large group/family, but it’s a very romantic setting for couples. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. She doesn’t speak much English, but it was easy enough to communicate with expressive gestures and simple French!
Cons: The breakfast could have been fresher. There was a good choice of products but the cereals, jams etc. had all seen better days.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, Great Hospitality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Over our 2 stays, we occupied each of the 2 rooms. They were both clean and well appointed, with beautiful views overlooking the river. Guests also have the use of a large lounge with TV and a kitchen and dining room downstairs. The owner is charming and we were made to feel very welcome. I can highly recommend this place.
Cons: In my previous review, I was a little critical of the breakfast. On reflection, and following a second stay, I should report that the breakfast was very good - although I would have appreciated a second croissant!!

Pros: I DISAGREE WITH THE POINTS THAT BOOKING GIVES!!! There isn’t an elevator, so we carried all our suitcases with our hand. The man at the reception CAN’T SPEAKS ENGLISH, we had some problems with the reservation and he couldn’t help us. The WiFi doesn’t work in all the rooms, for example in my daughters‘ room where also the blanket where dirty. Like in all the hotels, this should have WHITE blanket and the towels. The bathroom doesn’t have a DOOR!!!!! The rooms are very very very hot and smells of the restaurant under it After all, the place in which this hotel is, is GODFORSAKEN! There aren’t some supermarket and little shops near.

Pros: Too early for breakfast at 7am, so can't comment. Looked nice though. The owner was fantastic, shook hands each time we met. Didn't speak English but we communicated, sort of. This was a budget trip and we didn't pay a lot for the room but it was worth every penny and more.

Pros: Excellent room. Very comfortable bed. Modern hotel with converted old mill for restaurant. Staff very helpful. Good parking
Cons: It was on the edge of the town. Sink plug leaked water. Shower controls very confusing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautifully furnished
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel and it's location were stunning. Breakfast was nice but a little pricey, plenty of options to choose from. The only minor issues was that our key for the room needed resetting twice and the bathroom door got stuck from the outside, meaning we couldn't get into our bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was very well appointed- we had a fabulous view. The staff were discreet but helpful and bent over backwards to help us with any requirements.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding property, amazing hotel would stay again in a heartbeat.
Cons: Nothing to complain about, perfect!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb our balcony looked out onto the River. Very quiet at Night a short drive to the town. Really loved sitting on their terrace by the water
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at 7pm very tired after a long day driving only to be told that the restaurant was closed on Sunday night. We were very disappointed as we just wanted room service, a shower and a comfy bed. BUT the staff were great and said that they would cook a burger and bring it to us. We were so grateful for this amazing service. I think it was the chef who offered this. He was fantastic and we thank him very much
Cons: The beds are too small.

Pros: Very helpful staff, pleasant and kind. The lady who checked us out had been very helpful during our stay. We asked her a number of questions, she always went out of her way to give us the correct information. I would return to the hotel again, and I would recommend it to friends. It is nice to be greeted by people who show they are there to help you, they always had a welcoming smile.
Cons: 1 paper cup each, not acceptable for hot coffee/tea. I would prefer to see a porcelain cup and a spoon. We went out and bought cups and a spoon. The shower was slippery, I asked the cleaner if I could have Two bath mats, one for in the shower and one for the floor. The young lady was very understanding and pleasant, she brought them for me right away. It would be nice to have an English language channel on the TV something like France 24. The 5 channels on the TV were mainly cartoons, I did not see any children in the hotel. I had reserved for our grandson but he did not come with us because he was ill.
7.5 Good
Cons: No plugs in room except for lamps

7.5 Good
Pros: Good location - short walk to old part of the city, riverside and many eating places and bars nearby
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but motorbike racers on the streets outside late into the night disturbed our sleep. Try to get a room which doesn't face onto the street
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a gem of a find and is probably one of the best value hotels we have stayed at in France. It was a very comfortable room - it even had a kettle and good selection of teas and coffee.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money, we stayed in family room which was ok, good location with a short walk from bars and restaurants
Cons: A fair amount of noise outside our window , and the lights in room not bright. No bar.
6.3 Good
Pros: It's in a good location with paid parking in front of the hotel.
Cons: We had the triple room with private bathroom. The bathroom was tiny with a sliding door and the walls not reaching to the ceiling. You're basically sitting pooping in the same room. The toilet had a pulverisor in it which made an enormous noise. Great at night time! The sink was so big that it was in front of the toilet. The shower cubicle is also rather small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean bed, lovely room, good shower and great range for breakfast. Staff lovely
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Needed to walk up to get to my room, no AC and lots of noise on street.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I arrived by bicycle so needed a central location which it is. At the same time it was quiet, and with excellent doh me glazing to block out street noise if you like silence. Received a nice welcome. Room was simple of course as it’s 2 star, but clean and nice. Breakfast was a good selection too. As a cyclist, I was welcome to take my bike to my room which pleases me.
Cons: Nothing, given the low price. It would be very unfair to expect anything more.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Rooms a little old but clean and comfortable. Very good location. On Friday night we could enjoy the street markets with food and music. Lovely.
Cons: Slightly noisy outside but then we had to sleep with the windows open given the heat.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and interesting apartment with secure parking and walking distance to the old city. Very helpful hosts.
Cons: Nil
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfectly comfortable but a little dated. This is a homely place with some genuine French quirkiness! Please don't get me wrong, the host was extremely pleasant and the house more than comfortable, clean and tidy, but a modern, newly refurbished apartment this is not.
Cons: The kitchen was a little lacking, there was a hob and microwave with a small grill but no dedicated oven. Not a deal breaker but this may be inconvenient if you're hoping to cook. No air conditioning was a bit of a struggle for us and the gite is generally lacking natural light.
