We booked a standard room but were given an executive room which was to the rear and was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently located. The only minor niggle was that the public car park nearby, although convenient, only allows 10 hour parking at any time. Staff reassured us that it was not checked after 19.00 but we needed to top up again by 08.30 in the morning.
Hotel very well situated for the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Nicosia unfortunately doesn't really offer too much for the tourist. Especially if you like we are foolish enough to go on a Sunday when all the museums are shut!
Good servíce, in the middle of Nicosia No
Good position, polite staff, good breakfast.
This is the most central located hotel in Nicosia. You are at 10 meters from Ledra Street and Laiki Geitonia! The hotel is located in the old city, so you have to park your car into a public parking located at 100 meters from the hotel.
Helpfullness of the staff.Proximity to the main shopping streets.Free internet. I got what I expected.
They got my room ready and let me in at 11.00 am instead of waiting untill after 2.00 pm which was handy as i had travelled overnight from heathrow very good of them the blonde receptionist was helpfull No i found it all ok
We were particularly impressed by the free internet even for those without laptops
i found the location excellent also the wifi was free to use and very efficient.in short good value for money with very good breakfast.
I had the fortune of staying at the 7th floor, where rooms are somewhat larger and where public areas have been recently renovated, even if not entirely. I did not detect anything new. There will soon be competition for Hilton, from a luxury six star hotel complex to be built in very close proximity to it, meaning that the managers of Hilton will need to consider a full renovation in order to be able to stay in business. The window of opportunity for them to do so will close in the next 3 years, by which time the new hotel complex, just opposite Hilton Hotel, will have been completed.
Convenience of location and service values continuously improving, as well as being more welcoming, friendly and amenable.
good hotel but the reception need more emplotee and more bell boy
Location was good. The rooms are not as luxury nor as spacious as expected.
The Personnel is always very friendly and eager to help. The environment is clean and pleasant.
As always, the friendliness of the staff, the excellent location and the good breakfast. The Hotel is, in some areas, in need of some refurbishment. I have seen improvements since my last stay, a few months back, but there is still room for more.
Value for money - it was good to stay there based on the special offer we booked the room. Good location We slept with aircon and woke up with a huge headache as there was a smell of cigarettes smoke coming through it into our room. Also we used one of the new restaurants of the hotel for our dinner and my partner got poisoned by the fresh shrimp.
excellant location and freindly staff
It was where the meeting I attended was to be held, so no travelling to and from the hotel was required It was too expensive
Breakfast was very nice and quite rich
the personnel was really friendly and made sure I wasn't short of anything. during both nights I was there, there was a car racing during 2 hours with an interval of 15 minutes each time which kept me awake. however, this is of course not due to the hotel
Nice public areas (lobby, restaurants, conference rooms) Cleanliness of the guest rooms
Tariffs were too high. No assistance offered in taking bags to room on arrival
comfortable and friendly staff
the personnell was all the time checking on (looking at) me whether i am a hotel resident or not because i dont have the typicall looks of a person that stay's in 4 star hotel , other than that everything else was great!!!
newer than the traditional Nicosia Hilton, great gym, great pool area. Far away from the center (price difference with the traditional Hilton will be spent for taxi). Many of the staf don't speak Greek. Expensive service (2 power plug transformers for 20 euro).
Clean pleasent atmosphere Everything was extra, tv, internet access, using leasure facilities,
Nice hotel - good staff. A bit off the beaten track which is what we like.
I stayed only for a night so i am not able to express any opinion more than the sleeping quality. I have not used any of the hotel's facilities apart from the internet which was ok. My humble opinion is that Hilton is using the name for the high prices. But overall the hotel is the same as other hotels that might have cheaper rates. Looking out of my room's window at the pool area I have noticed that the hotel could use a renovation on the exterior (gardens, pool area etc). The interior, lobby area etc also look a bit old fashioned.
Location to the old city. Sophisticated boutique hotel design. Cleanliness lack of parking or clear arrangements for parking
Clean and comfortble, location is good.near to city center.
with my short stay i liked the lounge coffee. no
24 hr business centre with fast broadband connection Nicosia in general
Excellent breakfast. Not centrally located.
Average room, but cost efficient. Courteous staff, sufficient breakfast touch up to the room, which needed maintenance
The position is ideal for walking to the important sites in Nicosia. It is also in a quiet location so no problem sleeping. Breakfast was an excellent choice of many different things to suit eveyrone Nothing at all - only weird thing was that two different bartenders on the two nights we were there didn't know how to make a marguerita!! However did recommend a superb white wine called Agios Andronicus (anyone who likes wine and who has visited Cyprus will know that it's difficult to find a good one)
Perfect location in the heart of the old city. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Rooms need referbishment. Hotel restaurant is extremely expensive.
People were nice and breakfeast was good and plentyful. Lack of a bigger lobby. Hot hallways .no ramp for luggage. 3rd floor stairs to pull luggage up.
I liked the size of the room and bathroom and was very pleasantly surprised with the large bed. The room was clean. It was very nice to have complementary champagne. The water in the bathroom took a tlong time to get hot and the breakfast was not very nice. The rolls were stale and the hot food selection was cold and greasy.
I liked that the rooms were spacious, service was prompt, that the price was kept comparatively low & that its location was near to the city centre, yet in a quiet area. I did not like that one was asked to pay the first day's fee on arrival, before looking at the room.
Staff profesionalism, effective responce, simply rooms design, clean overpriced for provided services, amenities, breakfast below stantards
very clean and spacious. good value recepetionist could have been more friendly. Limited places to eat. Ordered from the takeaway menu but a lot of the menus were not in English. Needed at least one more towel
Two of receptionists did not speak Greek at all, one of them was rude and obnoxious and one day the room was not cleaned at all.
Very nice hotel with breakfest served in the room. The internet cost 10 EUR a day, should be free for price per room.
1. quiet area 2. quiet big rooms 3. friendly stuff 4. nice lobby 1. Unacceptable stuff not to speak Greek in Cyprus. 2. breakfast is poor 3. wifi must be free
Room space was excellent, buffet breakfast was also good.
Modern spacious apartment with kitchen facilities in a quiet area within walking distance of the old town of Nicosia
20 -25 minutes walk to the old city and nicosia center -
they didn't have free internet and the bathroom must be better
service and relax no everything was ok
Closeness to downtown market and price of room Internet is very highly charged...must be free as in Centrum, my last stay...
Good sized room with plenty of desk space No tea and coffee making facilities!
Excellent location near to the center of the city; pleasant atmosphere; comfortable room (executive): I found that everything was o.k.
Nice and helpful staff, very good breakfast and the best location. Hotel needs renovation - if it was in better condition, would be fastastic place. Very small bathroom. No view from window but in this location it's hard to expect sth better.
Walking distance to main city centre area. Can be quite loud outside at night, (Friday, Saturday)
Good hotel located in the center of the city. Very helpfull staff. The rooms at the front on level 1 are rather noisy because they are close to the street.
I liked the localisation within the ancient city walls and the fact that the hotel seems to be quiet and relatively small. I think the hotel needs refurbishing - in my room there were stains on the wall caused by leaking air condition and after taking a closer look the hotel seemed a bit shabby - I would not say it's a tree-star standard, although I'm sure formally the hotel meets all the requirements.
The location is excellent and the hotel has free on site parking facilities which is a big plus.
Nothing. If I was able to not stay I should have done it. The aircondition in the room didn't work properly, a lot of noise and cool. Also on out of room spaces the temperature was 45c. The breakfast was just ok. But the price of the hotel is ubeliveble high.
Free wirless in the room, Good service by the staff , Quiet, Good Value for Moeny Basic Amenities are missing, Location is not in the center, Breakfast is Too Basic for the rates ,
One front desk lady: very helpful, efficient and polite... others were ok but not really trying to help... just doing their job... Bearing in mind that this is a 3star hotel... generally satisfactory, but I would have expected the on-site restaurant-bar to have had interesting, quick lunches, etc... not just bland stuff... again the facilities and service said: we're just here to fill in time and do the minimum to get by
If you get soft beds I would definatly come again hard beds Years ago it was thought good to have hard beds now most of the medical opinon has changed and soft beds are much betterfor comfort and health
The location is very convenient to downtown Nicosia. The rooms facing the main street are quite loud. Also at night. And the breakfast buffet was quite spartan to be honest.
The hotel has been recently renovated. Everything at the room seems to be new
Quiet location, a little way out of town. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized, clean rooms with efficient and quiet air conditioning. No non-smoking rooms.
A good friend recomment your hotel to me.At the beginning I wasn't sure if it was the right choise.I came with my daughter because my husband was in the clinic(Nicosia).Even the location it was close to the clinic.I enjoyed it, good value of money.I used to stay to Central hotel- four star, but after my visit to your hotel, No Difference ONLY the price!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, I had a problem with my gps and they volunteered to make some phone calls to solve it. The room was at the first floor, quite clean and confortable but a bit noisy.
Price and location were convenient for business. No wireless internet in my room. Varying level of staff knowledge. The manager was very good, though.
Very kind attutude of the stuff, always ready to help, quite surrounding and cosy "castle" atmosphere squeaking bed
Helpful, flexible owers. Reasonable value for Nicosia. Bedrooms a bit dated b ut very reasonable for the price.
the location, friendly staff breakfast: nothing hot; nescafe instead of filter coffee
It was dry and the water was warm, eventually. There was lots of arguing going at night. I arrived very early from an overnight flight and was told that check in was not till 12noon - no offer to store luggage or sit in the foyer etc. I went outside to my car and slept on the back seat for about 2 hours. Breakfast was minimalist - you had to ask for an egg or a piece of cheese. Bread was old dry rolls. Corridors often stank of tobacco
The staffs were very kind to tell me some touristic spots in the city of Nicosia and how to enter the Turkish side temporarily. It is not so far from the center of Nicosia, so you can walk there.
The personnel is kind and ready to help you. The hotel offers plug-in adaptor at the european stlyle. The location is not so good as they claim. The continental breakfast is really poor.
the location, it is very calm I really enjoyed my stay there
We stayed at the Averof for 2 nights in late October. It's quite a bit outside of the city center but we didn't mind the walk as the hotel was in a very quiet residential neighbourhood and the downtown area seemed rather noisy. Our room was clean, had a small balcony and a ok bathroom. The room was very small and looked a bit depressing and oldfashioned. The breakfast was ok but we missed some fresh fruit or a bit more variety. The coffee that we ordered once in the lobby cost us a fortune! (it was just ordinary Nescafe) Since it was the off-season there were only a few guests, but I still think the owner/manager could have shown a little bit more interest in his customers.
Nothing. The hotel was extremely difficult to find and the website map instructions not correct. The hotel was in a residential area, well out of Nicosia's main town and not lit up at night making it even more difficult and frustrating to locate. Breakfast very poor, family staff members off-hand and non-welcoming and you have to pay for airconditioning which is only set on a fixed very low setting.
Hotel clean and simple. Nice rustic decor. Staff helpful and friendly. Good value for 46 euros a night Bit of a walk to the old city, especially when you've been walking all day, easy to get lost when dark. Had to ask for towels on 2nd day as maid hadn't issued fresh ones when cleaning room. Another guest complained that his room had'nt been cleaned and was told that cleaners had gone home
Modern and tastefully decorated hotel. Location difficult to find.
Location would be hard to beat. Hotel was modern and clean. Access (driving) to hotel is tricky, and (free) parking is close, but not on site.
Excellent brand new hotel in the heart of old Nicosia. Nicely designed comfortable rooms. Very helpful Manager. Not a great range for breakfast - fresh fruit would be a welcome addition. Also the hotel was bit difficult to find in the old city (like all old city locations) but some detailed instructions on the website would resolve this.
Great for who is going to the Municipality for Civil Marriage no
The service of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind - great service!! The rooms were a bit small, and no wireless activity in the hotel room. Internet is free, but must use cable. Wireless is available for free in the lobby.
Location near the center of the city is beautiful. New renovated hotel with friendly service. Wrong location on site booking.com
Nice clean and modern rooms, relaxing athmosphere, very friendly staff and a nice enclosed pool with sufficient sitting places outside.
friendly atmosphere created in particuklar by a member of the staff breakfast not really excellent
The hotel was very nice, very modern. It also has some parking space available. The parking is open, with no security. Also, the location is not so nice. The hotel is a very nice between very old and dark buildings.
Just walk outside to the Nicosia City Centre
The staff was very polite and helpfull The breakfast is very poor
good and quiet location Internet costs
Friendliness of the kind Iranian lady on reception Very poor breakfast
Superb staff service -particularly the checkin staff and restaurant staff. None.
The breakfast every morning is the same and it's poor
close proximity to old town but in a quiet residential area size of double room small and only a standard double bed provided - not king sized
the restaurant wasn't open when it was meant to be. On the Sunday the chef never turned up and on the Monday he went home early.
Staff very friendly. Room comfortable. Reasonably priced. Liked having a balcony The breakfast was not great.
Near the city centre I did not like the fact I had to stay not in the hotel building but at another block near by which was supposed to be the executive suites. I'm afraid though that was definitely not suites. When you hear the word suites you are expecting something unique and nice. The room that was presented to me as suite was for sure nothing near a suite. Just maybe a bigger room with a small dirty kitchenette. The building's condition could use a renovation.
All were good. the cleaness of the rooms and the politeness of the stuff the fact that you have to pay 10€ per day for internet.
cofortabila and spacious room, impeccable cleanliness, To make small compromises about internet (for 3-5 minutes over time exceeded 12 pm to make a reasonable price)
Newly renovated very good for that money (55euro single and 75 euro double)
Good location. Easy access to Nicosia old town and shopping center, nice view from roof garden. Plenty of municipan car park opposite hotel Hotel needs renovation asap!! Unpleasant odour in the room, rust in the bath tab. Even though rooms were pretty clean, room in whole gave impression of uncleaness. Very bad value for money! Photos of the hotel's webpage are illusive
Nothing! Very poor service. They turn off the aircondition in the winter and put on the heating system so the hotel feels like an oven at all times!!
Top bar/restaurant was closed, work was being undertaken in other rooms on same floor.
Location Very bad value for money
I have stayed two nights on this place. This place is not a hotel but it used as accommodation for athletic/football teams since it is located next to gsp stadium. The building is a huge but nobody was there during the night. I have stayed two nights alone to this building which is located outside of Nicosia and the nearest house is around 400 meters. No was there during the night. I have stayed two night alone to this building which is a huge building and the nearest house is 400meters.
The hotel is not a standard business or family hotel -- it is a specialty sports complex, built into a stadium and training ground. The rooms are spartan, bare concrete and efficient. The hotel is far outside the regular city limits and clearly not intended for regular travelers. I was the only person staying there aside from the Georgian national football team. That said, it was still okay, because the staff were so friendly and the rooms had everything I needed.
The Allegra gsp Sport Center is not a hotel. It is accommodation for football teams or other athletic teams. It is located outside Nicosia in a desert area next to the football field gsp and nobody stay there. Also, the reception of the Sport Center closes during the night. As I said above, it is not a hotel but sport center accommodation. Nobody stay there unless there is a football game next to the building which is located the biggest stadium in Cyprus. During the night, the reception does not work and it is very expensive if you consider this situation there.
the receptionist leaves the hotel at night and doesnt come back until next day. if I need something there is anyone. Furthermore, I had to wake up early to take a plane and the receptionist didnt be there, so I leave the hotel. Booking.com charge the room to my account and they were calling me because I "hadnt payed"...it was their fault !!!. And of course I have payed :(. I will not come back to this hotel anymore.
I stayed there for business and the hotel is good for that reason. Its also good for athletes as there are stadiums around. The location is good if you have your own transport. The room was large and very comfort with 2 beds. Two persons can easy stay in this room. I didn't like the area and the environment outside the hotel. Not recommended for holidays. The breakfast was ok but not something special.
