Pros: Hosts were exceptional. Picked me up very late at the airport, graciously welcomed me and provided a gluten-free breakfast before taking me back to the airport in the morning. I can't say enough about them! Would love to come back. Very unique property.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed with Jean Luc and Brigitte before an early flight from Lyon. They are charming, generous hosts, with a unique, quirky and beautiful house. I would definitely return - for the pool, the pets and the people! And the lifts to and from the airport, which were full of good cheer despite the time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner came to pick me up at the airport, with a smile and within 10min. The family I met there was hugely friendly and easy going. The house, the room, the bathroom: all was really clean. Should I say a word about the warm croissants and the home made marmalade ? Next time I have a meeting near Lyon, I go back there for sure.
Cons: The only point could be the shared bathroom for some people. But as there are "only" 2 rooms available in the B&B, at the end it is fine.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were great and extremely friendly. We had a 6:45am flight the next morning, and this was the perfect place to stay for it. It's only about 10 min from the airport and the host woke up before us and made sure there was breakfast ready for us before we left. The back yard was great too. There was a pool which was great for decompressing and the hosts had goats, a rabbit, and a dog, which was fun.
Cons: The space was fine for us, but the room was a little more difficult to get up to than we realized. Might not be appropriate for someone who has a bad back or trouble climbing stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived later than planned, really late at night, and Brigitte was so understanding and welcoming. The home is just fabulous, the art (Brigitte's!!) is stunning. The décor is just so cool and everything is so clean and modern without erasing the history of the family home (which was very interesting, and we enjoyed hearing about it from Brigitte). The room is an attic one, so you have to go up narrow stairs and duck beams, but it's just SO COOL you really just have to see it to believe it. We were overwhelmed with that and also the goats in the yard we got to pet in the morning after our breakfast. Just a wonderful experience and I'd recommend anyone stay here.
Cons: not applicable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating couple who run the B&B They made no fuzz that I arrived at 9pm because I was delayed on traffic and were happy to serve me a full raclette dinner with wine at that late hour. The owner got up at 5am to make me breakfast and open the gate without any fuzz and very willingly. She even offered to drive with me to the petrol station. Room and house is full of character. There’s even a story that the owner’s grandparents hid Jews in the house during wwII!
Cons: My room was up a v steep staircase. There are a couple or maybe just one room on first floor without need to climb steep stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing property. Pleasant, accommodating hostess. Delicious breakfast, coffee, juice etc. Comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again. A+++

Pros: The accommodation was in a beautiful house tastefully decorated. We stayed in an attic room with exposed beams just beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and spare pillows came in handy. Great modern shower and lovely thick towels, remote control for the window and blind . Breakfast was fresh coffee, OJ, meats cheeses jams, breads, cereal, fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt and biscuits Spacious grounds and private parking with a code to open the gates and front door.
Cons: We would have liked to stay longer. If mobility impaired this would not be the place for you as the house has stairs but the stairs added charm and not a problem for us.

Pros: Room was extremely big, took the purple suite. Late acces to the hotel via pre-messaged codes. Kitchen downstairs where to make coffee or tea. Nice interior. About 6 minutes from my supplier.
Cons: Well Grenay is ... nothing there. As the room was so big; it felt a bit empty, but then I should have taken a smaller room.

Villa La Maternité - Meximieux - Bedroom
5
9.1 Excellent (74 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Villieu-Loyes-Mollon, Villa La Maternité is on a river, within a 15-minute drive of Medieval City of Perugia and Railroad Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Villa is in a quiet rural village with a nice view from our room window. Very nice owner, friendly and communicative. The best beds ever - very comfortable, large and comfortable. The pool with heated water is a big plus and nice relaxation after long road. Breakfast also very good: orange juice is very tasty... and the owner even both for our little girl small croissants. The price is also very good for all comfort what you get.
Cons: Check in time is from 18.30, but it wasn’t a problem for us, we came 1,5 hours earlier and had time to see Perouges before our dinner and second time after our dinner. If you are traveling not for work, it’s nice to have time to enjoy your holiday and sleep longer in the morning. But check out is till 10.00
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, calm location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This villa offers exactly what is presented in the photos. The rooms were very nicely decorated and the garden was very beautiful with its pool and seating area. There are plenty of parking right at the villa.
Cons: The location of the villa is a bit too far out on the countryside, but if that is your preference this is perfect. The villa is also a private property, meaning you don't have access to kitchenware when using the backyard. Even though the breakfast was enough, there are still some room for improvement.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is very well renovated town home. The owners are great and obviously, quite deservedly, proud of their house. It’s in a very quiet setting. The rooms are superbly done to a very high but welcoming standard you could not ask for more. Oh, the rooms are also very large. The bed is fantastic. So is the shower. A quick tip - if you miss the note on the reservation check-in is from 6:30. The gate will probably be locked but there is a buzzer. You will get a great welcome.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guest house is beautiful, swimming pool is a big plus, breakfast was plentiful . Local people are warm and friendly. It is a few kilometers off the main road but well worth it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, well kept property. Comfy beds and lovely linen. Nice fresh French bread for breakfast. We appreciated the help with our suitcases thank you.
Cons: Too late check in and too many rules about when you could use the pool because of family. Didn't feel that welcome around pool area felt more like an imposition. No pool towels provided. They had visitors themselves so didn't like to intrude while they were all in the pool. Rooms up the top of the house with no air conditioning only fan so very hot, but would be nice in winter. Needs to have a sign on property where to go.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service, lovely staff and homely feel. Breakfast was excellent, and the bonus was that we had the lovely offer of a lift to the Fair we were going to by a family member of the owner!
Cons: The only thing to make it a 100% wonderful stay- some shower products!

Pros: Very attractive, modern hotel with friendly staff. The superior room was very large and the vsthroom was a good size. The $15 breakfast was fabulous!
Cons: The bed had the hardest mattress know to man. My daughter that she might get concussion if she hit her pillow too hard. The only other negative was that the frosted glass bathroom door did not close.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location location location And good value for the money on booking. Com
Cons: Checkin and out was really backed up. Not surprising given its right at the airport so there are groups of people that check in all at once. The one thing that could have been better was when I checked in my room it smelled like body odor. I had heard a customer in front of me complain about a room givin and they rebooked him to a different room. I wonder if they just put me in his and Friday solve the problem . Or they have issues with more rooms? But I’d still stay here bc it was clean and so so convenient for an early morning flight
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect, but not parking below or near hotel. Very nice room, but mini fridges did not work in neither of my room and despite informing front desk nothing ever came to even check it. Excellent restaurant with great breakfast, carte and buffet. Fantastic chef de salle.
Cons: No parking below or near hotel. Mini bars did not work and were never repaired over a 4 nights long stay ....

9.3 Excellent
Pros: So close to the airport!
Cons: Everything was good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location where you can walk to either terminal.
Cons: We arrived in a rented car thinking we could drop off our luggage (which was considerable) before we returned the car. However, we found that the hotel was inaccessible by car. We ended up parking a good distance away, walking to the hotel to see how you could get in, then walking back to get our luggage, then walking it to the hotel, and finally back to get the car out of the lot. The cost to us was 15.50 euros. It would have been nice to have some direction from the hotel or their website that told us that P1 was an appropriate stopping place.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was great.Comfortabe and spacious. Barhroom excellent. Food and service at restaurant excellent.
Cons: Lobby under construction rreoriented everythng we were familiar with from last August. and make connection to Terminal 1 further. (Husband flies with Assistance.)
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: 1am in the morning and the toilet is leaking. I call reception to request a new room. The receptionist was trying to negotiate to fix it instead... at 1 in the morning? Really?

Pros: Friendly staff and nice bar/restaurant.
Cons: Bed not comfortable. Too hard and a bump down the middle as there was no mattress topper on the 2 single beds

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: more choice in the restaurant
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room and the hotel was very stylish and what you would expect from Mercure.
Cons: It was clear the hotel works extremely well for business clients. We were staying before a holiday to be close to the airport. The hotel is quiet at the weekends and i think-if they want to attract the holiday market as its close to Lyon airport, they need to adapt to a different clientel and not be so stuffy. It’s clear some members of staff need to develop a sense of humour. This didn’t detract from our enjoyment but we felt awkward. We would stay again though.
7.5 Good
Pros: Close proximity to airport and expo center
Cons: No hot water for 2 days
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: Restaurant closed on Jan 1st evening

Pros: Perfect in every way. Beautiful people with a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Amazing location! Beautiful house and terrace
Cons: The host was not happy to received us, according to her it was a misunderstanding with booking and she was supposed to be closed! Not warm welcome at all! It was Far too expensive, not value for money. We have been offer another room since one of the room we had book was too warm, she did not mentioned that the room was 75€ more expensive! The 285€ Napoleon suite, was very nice decorated but a lot of basic details were missing such as bathroom amenities, coffee machine, tv... No air co in the room so we open the window and surprise, even being in Perouges old cité, a lot of outside noise due to the train railway next to the house ( not mentioned in any moment) On top of that, we have been asked to take the breakfast at 9:30 since before it was too early for her. The breakfast was only sweet, no salty options, no juices either. For the price of the stay is quite disappointing! She was not friendly ( very different from her husband who was nice ) We could only have a bit of interest from her part when she gave us the “no value for money” invoice and we were about to leave. Very disappointing host house!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the main square and the staff were very affable. Great place to stay for the experience and having the village to ourselves late evening and early morning.
Cons: The hotel and restaurant were very expensive for what you got. The room though very comfortable and spacious, was a little tired and could do with updating. The restaurant food was good but was more home cooking than haut cuisine. Le Grenier au sel would have been better value for money.

Pros: It's very near to the St Exupery airport and convenient for early morning flights.

Pros: Hotel is clean and staff friendly. The price is excellent for this class of hotel. I would probably have given it an extra star but for the fact that the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. However, good value for money and about 15 minutes to Lyon Airport.
Cons: Shower soap dispenser was empty !!

Pros: Clean and comfy for the short time we were there.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed good, room large and everything was in good condition. Staff helpful.
Cons: It was as 10 minute ride to airport and the cab cost 40 Euros. This is not the fault of the hotel and I assume the low hotel price is because of the location.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very convenient to be close to the airport for an early morning flight, we were able to take the hotel airport shuttle at 4 am, with no hassles. The hotel restaurant serves great food for supper, and vending machine for snacks. The room was clean and perfect for a one night stopover. Staff were very friendly and accommodated us with an earlier check in time. All in all, it turned out better than what we expected.
Cons: Everything was fine.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, cool (a/c), close to airport, multilingual staff, decent restaurant
Cons: The airport shuttle fills up quickly, you need to be early. The stop location is very confusing as there are 2 stops, one on either side of the street. One is covered, the other not. Both go to the same place but the covered one gets picked up first.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Free shuttle to and from airport
9.4 Excellent
Cons: Excellent choice if staying at lyons airport
7.5 Good

Pros: Location! Very close to the Lyon Airport and it has free shuttle service around the clock.
Cons: Room kind of small and not much area for your luggage and other stuff.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything you’d expect from an airport hotel
4.0 Okay
Cons: the 'shuttle' to the terminal, was not at the hotel. It was out the back door and around the corner. A long schlep with luggage. The room was beastly hot and no way to adjust the temperature - I tried.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really close to the airport (2 min drive and 18min walk), modern furniture and clean, restaurant on site is okay for a convenient dinner (very nice staff)
Cons: Quite expensive for spartiate comfort. Staff very nice but not super well organised - never queued that long to check in at a hotel (15min).
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: We got there we were given a ground floor room and window had been left very slightly ajar with a lighter if I hadn’t wanted to air room I think it could have been a major security risk!!!!

7.0 Good
Pros: The hostess could not have been nicer. We had an early departure and she left breakfast for us to have early in the morning. The pool was great, and the restaurant was lovely.
Cons: The facilities were a bit outdated but charming. That said, for the price there should be a bit more ventilation: air conditioning or a fan or even just screens on the windows so we can leave them open at night without risking mosquitos. Shower curtain is desperately needed.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The pillows were lumpy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist, wife of owner, couldn't do enough for us! The pool looked inviting but we opted to relax on our balcony on the sunny afternoon. I was happy to soak in the bathtub. Not far from Perouges and easy access to highway to Lyon airport! Our gourmet dinner was just outstanding!
Cons: I certainly recommend this property! Although it's in the country, the road is directly from Perouges. So glad we were guests!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A good hotel in a convenient location for my needs. A restaurant attached and a good sized car park.
Cons: I was unable to get an internet connection in my room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff, hotel had a beautiful garden, all garden rooms have a small terras/balcony to sit outside.
Cons: Breakfast buffet rather poor. Restaurant at the property is closed on Friday evening (exactly the evening we stayed at the hotel)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating of our needs. The evening meal was excellent. What a lovely, kind family who made us feel welcome and looked after.
Cons: The breakfast was fairly basic but still ok for our needs.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent position just outside city walls. On site parking. Food. Room light and spacious for this category of accom.
Cons: TV signal a bit erratic.

Pros: Location was awesome!
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to visit Perouges
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was fabulous & freshly made. The place was very clean with secure parking outside. Walking into Perouges was easy to enjoy an evening stroll.
Cons: The address on booking.com was not recognised by our sat.nav / gps. We had to guess that the beautiful walled city would only have one road in. Perhaps the owner should check the details, it was quite a worry. I can’t sleep on a sheet directly on a plastic mattress protector. It was very uncomfortable. I’ve experienced this in many places in the lower price ranges & find it ruins an otherwise very comfortable bed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good WiFi with the code written clearly and accessible, really good shower facilities, hanns grohe so the hotel owner does care about what he provided. Its a nice chambre d'hôtes.
Cons: The bed was quite soft and it wasn't good for mine and my partners back. The center of the bed seemed to be not there so we kept rolling into the middle so sadly it wasn't a good night's sleep. Some investment in a sturdy bed is needed. It was a shame as everything else was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were warmly welcomed and shown our room. There was a safe place in the garage for our bike. We arrived very late, and our host started preparing our dinner so that it was ready for us once we had freshened up. I'm sure this was well past the usual meal time. This is a place for cat lovers. There are a lot of cats about. If you like cats, this place is for you. If you don't like cats, you probably shouldn't stay here. Very good value for money. Right by the medieval town, just before the cobbles start. Room had a living area, making it quite sizeable. The whole place was friendly with a lovely sociable vibe. And cats!
6.8 Good
Pros: The location
6.8 Good
Pros: Location was great being able to walk into Perouges so easily.Being able to mix with other guests easily. The quirky owner. I didnt want coffee so he was trying to get other guests to drink my now cold coffee very funny. The bathroom was very spacious although needs some shelving to put washbags etc on.Shower worked well although slow drainage.Use of a fan at night was great helped with humidity. It
Cons: The bed was too small for my 6ft husband, we had to put the mattress on the floor, the bed was too short, as we put the mattress on floor its cover came off. The mattress was awful very badly stained. No fly sceens on the windows so the room was full of flies. In our 3 months of travelling it rates as the worst bed we have had. Breakfast was not very substantial croissant, bread, jam, fruit and fruit juice. So not enough for cyclists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was very pleasant and went to a lot of trouble to make us welcome.
