Pros: The property is wonderful place to stay. The rooms are a beauty, clean and with stunning furniture. Is one of the most clean places I have found. Fabulous breakfast included top quality. It has a lovely garden and even a safe place to leave your car. There is bus stop near. This is the best place my wife and me has stay during last years. And we travel often. Jacqueline the owner will take care of you. We feel as we were at home with mom.
Cons: There is nothing we did not like it. Everything is perfect!
9.6 Excellent

Cons: there was really nothing to dislike or complain about.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building dating from 1705. Charming hostess. Comfortable bed, Perfect breakfast
Cons: Some difficulty with access and parking, not too serious. Two flights of old, slightly uneven stairs a bit daunting initially at age of 76, but was perfectly manageable Even so, would have preferred first floor. Shower room a little cramped. a box of tissues would have been nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hostess Jackie, nice premises nice room & good breakfast

Pros: Period building, it's interior, and fascinating fixtures and fittings all well looked after by the excellent proprietor. Breakfast superb. Enjoyed company of the other guests. Proprietor could not have been more charming and helpful.
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house full of character. Excellent breakfast and lovely host.
6.7 Good
Pros: We liked the disco lights in the shower!! Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: The location for us was a bit noisy as we live in a cul de sac and the property is situated right on the A449 Malvern Road which is busy. Difficult to find. Could have offered sausage with the cooked breakfast and as i don't eat tomatoes or mushrooms, only had egg and 2 rashers of bacon. The lady offered more toast, to be fair the breakfast was adequate for a little b&b.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a lovely old cottage property, well looked after and immaculately clean. We stayed in the en-suite room with a king size bed, which was very comfortable. Sue who runs the B&B is lovely, and provides a tasty breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: In short - A Gem! Located just a short distance from Upton on Severn, it offers a charming peaceful alternative to staying in the town. Brian and Sue are everything you could want fron your Hosts- Thoughtful, helpful and considerate. The quality of the presentation and are hard to fault, and the beds very comfortable (probably the best night sleep in the area).
Cons: The accommodation is accurately described and more than lives up to it's promise.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent, all round. Especially as my coeliac needs were met appropriately. Will stay again in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked the single room for a friend. Sue is a wonderful host who went out of her way to welcome and make guests feel at home. Sent my friend away with fresh veg from the garden. Spotless, very comfortable room and bed. Excellent location as a short walk on the bridge over the river Severn into Upton so very convenient, but also quiet. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sue is the perfect British guesthouse proprietor; she has thought of everything and everything is nicely done. I often find guest house beds are not that comfortable but the single I slept in was a comfy, cosy nest I drifted off in immediately and didn't want to get out of in the morning. And she and Paul are delightful company. I didn't have breakfast but family members complimented it when they stayed previously.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable and the en-suite was brilliant. The owners were welcoming and helpful. We were made to feel like part of the family and the breakfast was delicious. There was ample parking and 10 minute walk to the picturesque village of Upton-upon-severn where river boat rides were available.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a little gem situated in a quiet location just a short walk from the noise of Upton-upon-Severn. Warm welcome to a beautiful house and grounds. Lovely breakfast served on beautiful crockery. Luxury toiletries supplied. Two lovely dogs and very genial hosts. What more could you ask for?
Cons: Absolutely nothing. We really enjoyed our two nights there.

7.5 Good
Pros: nice room good location
Cons: car parking an extra £10per night. Food average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff could see that my husband had mobility issues when we arrived and, without asking, changed our room from the 3rd floor to the 1st as there are no lifts to access the rooms. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful
Cons: Rooms a little on the small side, whilst there were two 3 drawer bedside cabinets there was no wardrobe only a small hanging space with 6 hangers so storage was a little difficult.

The Admiral Rodney - Worcester - Building

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent, incredible dinner and wine list. Loved breakfast as well, so much choice.
Cons: Our room was quiet small, the bed also so we were quite hot and uncomfortable but the room otherwise was lovely.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent ! I have stayed in 4 star hotel rooms that were not as well appointed as those in the Admiral Rodney!
7.5 Good
Pros: good food and nice staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a superb pub/hotel situated in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside. The staff were extremely welcoming as well as being efficient, helpful and courteous. The bar had a terrific selection of ales & lagers and, a super bonus for me, a very nice selection of single malt whiskies. The food served in the restaurant was superb, the special Beef & Mushroom Stroganoff was just that, special! Breakfast the next morning was as wonderful as the food served the night before - porridge with whiskey & brown sugar is a must try, as are the pancakes with whisky butter (spotting the connection here!) - however the full English is the tops! No down side at this place - everything you want is here, well everything I wanted was here!!
Cons: I struggled to think of anything that could be improved but I gave it considerable thought and came up with something. When preparing a liqueur coffee, if sugar is required, put the sugar in and stir before floating the cream on top. If you float the cream then put the sugar in it ceases to be a floater. Having said that, my wife was more than happy with her coffee. That's it, every other experience at this place was spot on!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Admiral Rodney Inn is a beautiful, modern and clean hotel throughout. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was excellent, both the room and the en-suite was modern and very clean c/w toiletries that were provided in the bathroom. I even had two bathrobes hung up in the wardrobe. I was made to feel very welcome in the bar by both the staff and the locals and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my fellow travellers whether the stay was for work or pleasure. The Admiral Rodney Inn is a sister hotel to the Baiting House at Upper Sapey which is another fantastic place to stay.
Cons: The breakfast is served from 7:30am in the morning. As a seasoned work traveller I feel that breakfast should be available from 7:00am. They did accommodate me though as the cleaner starts her shift at 6:30am so I could get fruit juice, cereal, toast, fruit, and tea or coffee before I left for work.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, bathroom, everything spotless. Dinner was excellent
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great find , comfortable, clean with pleasant service from all staff
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: As above. Plus superb food and service in the beamed barn dining room.
Cons: I struggled a little with the mattress on the super large bed in Admiral Rodney room, which was assymetrically down/low on the bathroom side - which obviously has had most use. But everything else perfect, clean and comfortable. Coffee machine, armchairs, large walk-in shower and excellent breakfast were all especially appreciated. Perhaps a little on the pricey side but overall I would want to stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the few british pubs that has been updated and offers modern facilities
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There has clearly been a lot of thought gone into the fixtures and finish. The decor is modern, yet traditional and there were a couple of nice little touches within the room. Would definitely recommend. Unfortunately, we didn’t get her name, but the lady that took orders and served breakfast should get an extra mention. I credit to the hotel and really knew what excellent customer service meant. Breakfast was excellent, and again enough choice without being too much.
Cons: Check in staff on the night of our arrival was appalling. There was a difference between the booked price and the room rate on their system. The check in staff could not have been more dis-interested in he had tried. He tried to fob us off and say that it would have to be sorted out in the morning as he did not have the authority to make changes. Pillows were so flat that they were nearly 2 dimensional. Found extra (nearly new) in the morning, which should have been on the bed in the first place. Although the room and en-suite were excellently equipped, the floor tile grout had become loose. A few floor tiles were loose and one or two exposed the sharp corners. A potential trip hazard, maybe.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was fabulous. Breakfast particularly good. Host fantastic .Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The bed was a little too soft and slightly small for my husband.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and welcoming. The food in both the restaurant and the breakfast were exceptional
Cons: Although the restaurant and bar area were beautifully decorated and clean the bedrooms were not up to the same standard. They could have been cleaner and the bathroom updated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The meals were all delicious.
Cons: Slightly wider choice of desserts.
7.1 Good
Pros: The lamb rump dinner was really good, although a little pricey for £20 compared to what you got. The guy at the bar was really nice.
Cons: Room was quite expensive for what it was. The person who checked me in was a little surly. The breakfast was ok, not the best: eggs were quite oily, sausage while cooked, looked a little anaemic. The dinner I had was really good though: the soup was really good, and the lamb rump main was very good, if not a little pricey.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Everything was excellent
Cons: The toilet seat wouldnt stay up
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great - they went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. Would stay there again.

Pros: The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. The car park was close by and being on the ground floor made everything easier for us,

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the cooked breakfast very good cereal could have more selection
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff. They were all most friendly and accommodating. The bedroom was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both jolly nice (especially the breakfast tea - it was sensational) and all-in-all we had a splendid time!
Cons: Honestly, we had no complaints. In fact, I wish we could have spent more time there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food - we were there for a cookery course and wine tasting. Lovely staff.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Evening meal was very good, but expensive with limited choice. Breakfast was nice but again Basic with limited choice for a 5star...e.g. only 2 choices of fruit juice and only 3 of cereal.
Cons: No flannel supplied in Bathroom. Broken Toilet Brush. Very Small room with no window, however, it did have roof windows.
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and the reception staff were very warm/friendly.
Cons: I do not understand why it is described as a 5* hotel (and an expensive price tag to match), when there are zero facilities on site for you to use at your leisure. Other 5* properties that I have stayed at have had gardens, saunas, spa areas and free activities to guests. My room itself had no 'normal windows'. The only windows were in the ceiling which made it feel like a prison cell.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was absolutely spotless and very relaxing to spend a last minute getaway into the country - found the whole building absolutely charming and everything is to hand so felt relaxed instantly. Honesty bar was very handy and the surrounding countryside is a perfect backdrop to this wonderful building.
Cons: Absolutely nothing, perfect stay and beautiful room and surroundings!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is unusual and beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. The area is also pretty though local restaurants are a little limited
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff, very good evening meal
Cons: Bedroom decor rather dark and lacking in 'warmth' (we were in the converted stables block); en suite: a little disappointing not to have a bath, and again the decor/tiling was dark. We do acknowledge that there's nothing that can be done about these things but for us they did detract from what's presented as a premium facility and explains why we wouldn't quite recommend it to other people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and a bit special.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and efficient friendly staff
Cons: Nothing springs to mind

Pros: Good breakfast and we had wonderful weather which enabled up to sit on the terrace until the evening. Great views. Very clean rooms and helpful staff.
Cons: Menu quite expensive and would have liked some smaller dishes or more choices as I have a small appetite. What I ate was very well cooked.

Pros: Perfect location for us visiting friend in Stourport. The hotel was very comfortable an the staff friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the restaurant and bar very relaxed and cosy. The breakfast was lovely freshly cooked to order.
Cons: The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work which we reported on our departure. The beam in the bathroom was a bit of a hazard but worth it for the lovely old room!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed one night at The Manor Arms as an overnight stop whilst walking the Worcestershire Way. Lovely comfortable bed, great food too!
Cons: We were disappointed in the exceptionally long wait for our stater of a sharing baked Camembert. We were advised it would be a 20 minute wait but it turned into a 45 minute wait!! Fortunately the food was lovely but it did take the overall enjoyment out of our stay and we found it strange as the restaurant wasn’t even busy (this was a Monday night)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating and warm staff. Breakfast was fantastic and lovely views from the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large, clean rooms with fantastic views of the countryside. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Would recommend for anyone who is staying in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were brilliant, the food was excellent and the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: View from the room was wonderful, and enjoyed all the thoughtful little touches in the room. Bed was a little too soft, our preference is for a firmer mattress as we suffer back issues but it was fine just for one night. Breakfast was delicious and nothing to much to ask, we ate outside which was lovely in the morning sunshine.
Cons: There was a step on the stairs which was broken under the carpet and my partner tripped, fell and twisted his ankle. That definitely needs fixing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, good food. Beds very comfy overall very good place to stay

The sitting room available to guests is quite outstanding in its comfort and presentation and the breakfast spread is generous and of high quality. The room and bathrom meet similar high levels with a truly king-size bed and a spacious bathroom.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike.

Pros: The ambiance of the hotel was superb
Cons: The food menu choice was quite poor for a hotel of that standard
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, good choice of fresh fruit and cereals all served in an impressive dining room. The location is great, not too far from M5 and Worcester but a very peaceful, tranquil and quiet spot. Plenty of parking available.
Cons: Drinks prices are rather steep! Barman could do a customer care course.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The setting and the building - a world unto itself. Stunning views inside looking down the hallways and the chapel areas. Lots to explore inside and outside for a 1 day stay. Friendly staff too, helpful with luggage and fast checkout. The location is perfect for a stopover. Traffic was minimal between the abbey and the M highway (and such a contrast).
Cons: The breakfast buffet was slow to be refilled. Had to ask for water and juice. Would have loved more fresh berries.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very interesting overnight stay.
Cons: Architecture and history of building
10.0 Excellent

Cons: The Sunday lunchit
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. I did book for lunch thinking it would be in the main dining hall and be a fine dining experience. Unfortunately on arrival it was only afternoon tea and the ‘lunch’ was a burger in the bar. I should have gone into Worcester.
Cons: No lunch offered in the restaurant

7.5 Good
Cons: The Holmer the room we stayed in was the noisiest room I have ever tried to sleep in. There is a large refrigerator just outside the room which created this. It was dark when we arrived so didn’t know what it was until next morning. No phones in rooms if you need to contact reception in the night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom
Cons: Price of the food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good food, both for dinner and breakfast.
Cons: The room was close to the kitchen so not so quiet as expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great position.
Cons: Friendly staff and always very helpful.
7.1 Good
Pros: I like the position of this pub and the food was certainly very good, although expensive. Breakfast was good although had to wait a while to be served. Room clean and service was friendly..
6.7 Good
Pros: Carpark Location
Cons: Food is high quality but it lacks any vegetables, or side salad. Too rich, lacks balance. No fruit either, just posh meat and potatoes basically. Room lacks furniture: no drawers nowhere to put anything on a table or shelf, so end up with stuff all over the floor in bedroom and bathroom. To be honest, just adding a side salad and a table would go a long way to making our stay more acceptable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location!! Restaurant was amazing!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice friendly service. Good breakfast. Nice area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: So welcoming and the food and bar were beautiful.
7.1 Good
Pros: The setting was beautiful and friendly staff
Cons: Not a very good nights sleep at all. We were in the pippin room which was an out building behind the pub and from the moment we went to sleep there was a loud banging noise going on the whole night. It sounded like trainers in a tumble dryer. The noisiest time was at 4am in the morning. Tried to enter the pub to speak to someone about the noise but no one was there and pub was locked up. Could not call pub as no signal therefore tried emailing the at 4am as we were being kept awake the whole night and the noise was driving us insane, we had no response to our email, it’s now been 4 days since our stay with still no response to our email. When we arrived for breakfast the next morning there was a lovely young lad serving breakfast explained to him and asked to speak to the manager but no manager available. Lovely pub shame about the noise that kept us awake. For this reason we were disappointed especially with no response to our email.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, friendly staff, awesome breakfast that really set you up for the day, Lovely riverside beer garden
Cons: Noise on a night from bar,
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: L
Cons: The room was small. It was not clean .the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall, the shower control knoob kept dropping off. The base of the shower cubisle was grubby. The only power outlet was situated at the base of a self build wardrobe and wass no use .The telly, the kettle and a fan were all fed from this socket. It was no use for a hair dryer as the nearest grubby mirror was at the other side of the room. There was an emergency lighting in the room with a bright green pilot light which during the night produced a green glow to the room. During the night the fire alarm in the corridor kept bleeping, probably because the battery needed replacing I complained bitterly about the room being the worst hotel room I had ever stayed in . The reply was that it wasn't a hotel, it was a coaching inn.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, evening meals were super and all of the staff were friendly and helpful from the top down, food was superb. The situation was perfect great to be able to park and river ran across the rear of the Hotel.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
