Pleasant service (friendly helpful people), free internet, nice modern room, good shower, free umbrella when rain... Many TV channels but few international, breakfast could be better (esp. when you arrive later than the rest). Location: no fun in direct surrounding but when you like walking: no problem... you'll be at the Aurora in 10 minutes or so or in the city center in 20... easy to find location.
clean, modern, comfortable. pleasant walk to metro for city reception not welcoming
the furniture during the breakfast - no bread, no knifes, no coffee (2x from 3 breakfasts)
Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms (which are not such a common feature in Russia...). Staff was reasonably helpful. The breakfast quality and variety could be improved, but its is definitely sufficient.
specially for business trips - breakfast should be erlier as 07:00AM
The location is close to the railway station, but anyway, rather far from all main attractions. Breakfast is quite various. Terrible noise of air-conditioner made both of us, my wife and me have head ache. And even if we switched it off, nothing changed. Reception staff was a bit out of adequacy and not friendly. One evening we came back to the hotel closer to midnight and security asked for my room key, i shown it to him, after that he watched my wife in kind of strange way and asked her same question. Ok, maybe he just did his job, but don't they think it looked like meddling in my private life? Wasn't it enough to watch only my key and let us, tired and frozen after long walk go in our room in peace, without bothering also my wife? So, we had a very distressing impression then.
I liked the hotel staff and the location of the hotel. The room was very cozy. The room wasn't cleaned in time.
I had some discussions re wifi with one of te receptionists who was rather rude! but it was solved to my complete satisfaction by Alexander. Bed was super comfortable cupboard in room too small for a couple staying 6 nights.
Really close to the Moskovskaya train station; good price for St. Petersburg. - When we arrived the hotel hadn't received the reservation from booking.com; Air conditioning in the rooms wasn't working and temperatures were pretty high; water on toilets smelled fish.
The entrance was around the corner from the Nevsky Prospekt, so it's access to the upmarket shopping street couldn't be better. The receptionist when we first arrived was pleasant and helpful in spite of her limited English. It was incredibly noisy; my friend & I could hear the traffic on the street (in spite of earplugs on the second night!) and other guests in their rooms. Their showers were the noisiest we have ever heard; it was like standing next to Niagara Falls. The room was clean however the shower left something to be desired; it was difficult to regulate the temperature of the shower, either scalding hot or freezing cold, and it didn't drain properly so that by the end of a shower, I was standing in 3 inches of my own filth. Yuk! And it leaked over the bathroom floor. It was difficult to communicate with any of the other staff as they spoke little or no English. Worst of all, the room reeked of cigarette smoke.
There is water of yellow color at the bathroom, the room is not large, a bit far at the city centre, noisy. I will recommend this hotel in case of all hotels are on stop sales
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The hotel provided us with an additional Microwave for our small kid.The Staff speaks fairly decent English. The Restaurant is an added asset to the Hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located within walking distance from the Metro & Bus Stops. A 'Prodyukti' (Grocery Store) is nearby for those visiting with small kids. The hotel definitely needs to subscribe to some international/ English television channels. The rates are marginally higher considering the facilities available.
The staff was more than excellent, very helpful. Their English was marvelously not bad. City center, 5 minutes from the subway. Spacious room with the good design. Breakfast with cold and hot dishes. WiFi worked good. Very nice beer restaurant, cheap business-lunch (it’s about 3 euro). I think I’ll cannot become thin… "Schweinehaxe"( it’s really crazy enormous pork foreshank!) was too tasty… Good restaurant)))
Near the metro station. Cleaness. some staff don´t speak english
it was in the middle of town. near metro. Breakfast was good. My room was facing the the open space at the back. 2nd floor. Had mosquitoes. But were provided with mosquito repellent.
good location not far from the metrostation. the appartment was to small for 3 adults
Close to Nevskiy Prospect Dirty entrance, most staff doesn't speak english
Good location. Good rooms that were regularly cleaned. The hotel staff had to inform us in advance that the hotel building was under reconstruction. So it was not very comfortable for us to live in darkened and stuffy rooms inspite of bonuses for supper in the restaurant (the restaurant wasn't quite excellent, too). The TV channels were not properly tuned.
Value for money. The hotel was being renovated during our stay - this was pretty annoying, and something that we were not informed about prior to our stay. The breakfeast was bad.
The location. Language barrier of the staff.
Good location. good spacious rooms 1. No shower gel and shampoo. 2. AC didn't work. 3. Towels are changed every 3 days, not everyday. 4. It is located on the 5th floor with no elevator.
The room was really lovely, everythin we needed was there. Excellent location. check-in is very late - we arrived 15min to 15:00 and had to wait for the room.
It was beautifully designed, very confortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very central, and the price reasonable. I liked it. Breakfast was a kind of 'poor', but today such is 'usual' in any mini-hotel in St Pete.
Very helpful staff, well designed and comfortable rooms with free wi-fi, breakfast in the room. Really enjoyed it. Not really, just it would be a big plus if they also had bar service (except the mini-bar). A big advantage would also be if they could arrange a taxi for the guests who arrive. There is much difference from the 4500rub that the taxi driver asked me when I got there, till the 1800rub the hotel charged me for departure transfer.
The location of the hotel is perfect for getting to most things in SPB quickly. Also the street is 'relatively' quiet for a city centre. The breakfast was poor. There was little choice of food, the music was too loud (for the morning) and the dining area was very warm.
I stayed at a corner room with two French windows - other rooms I think have one window, there is only one corner room on each floor. The hotel has excellent location. There are not enough hairdryers in the hotel. You have to take the hairdryer at reception - this is not convenient, hairdryer shall be in each room.
The hotel is located in the very heart of St. petersburg, just opposite Gostiny Dvor and 8-10 minutes by foot from Palace Square and Neva Embankment. Metro is in 2 min. Nice decorated and well-equiped with all you need on a short vacation: noiseless air-conditioner, hairdryer, TV, etc. Bad shower isolation and wet floor as result after washing... Wi-Fi is not so quick...
very nice service and personnel very bad quolity oа the bad
The hotel was a pleasant discovery. Beyond the not so nice exterior, the room was fantastic: clean, modern, big enough. The location was perfect, just in front of one of the biggest shopping malls in town, and very close to a centrally located metro station. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. Breakfast was very very basic. It's deliver to your room so you don't have choice. The front desk staff is not prepared or trained to assist you in organizing your stay, like recommendad good restaurants, or get tickets for local attractions, etc., however, it have free WiFi (very fast) which helps you a lot in organizing yourself if you have your portable device.
The hotel is just great. The exterior is a bit old, but inside it is very nice. The location is perfect, just 5 min walk from Nevskiy Prospect. The reception is very helpful.Bathroom is spacious, very nice and clean. Rooms have interesting design and decorated with bricks. All in all, very nice cosy hotel. I have only positive impressions. I would recommend it to everyone
Good central location, just off Nevskiy Prospect, and only a couple of minutes walk to the metro. Rooms very modern in design and with quality fittings, bathroom excellent. Free internet was great and the room was very clean. Reception staff were brilliant – even booked rail tickets for me prior to my arrival. Will definitely book again. Breakfast was not great – very limited choice – this needs improving
Nice hotel, good and quiet room. Free wireless Internet in the room was exactly what I needed. Bathrobe in the bathroom is a big advantage for the hotel.
Breakfast and shower. The room is small but convenient.
Good hotel for short time staying. Wi Fi free of charge, friendly administrators, good breakfast.
More service, than I expected. Cheerful stuff, smart accommodation! If I have trip to St. Petersburg next time, I will choose this hotel! A bit noisy rooms, but atrractive locationa area
staff was friendly, nice stay. location was not that good. But there are busstops infront of the hotel. No breakfast was included.
I rarely repeat a restaurant during a vacation trip . The Alain Ducasse resturant housed in this electic ,hip hotel is truly fantastic... decor is spif, breads fantastic, great drinks list... food : nearly as good as the Duchasse in the Dorchester in London, one of the world's great restaurants. The GM of this resturant was recently promoted to hotel GM; if i had a trip to Russia ; i'd visit this hotel just to see him in action .
Location is perfect, design impressive, room is not large but more spacious then in Paris hotels, breakfast rather good and democratic. Bad air ventilation in bathroom.
The decor and ambience are excellent; the hotel itself is an art gallery and it supports art as well. The location is amazing. It is a very pleasant stay. The hotel charged substantially more than the price that was quoted. That was not good, and might be a reason that I do not return. But if you do not care about money, the hotel is great.
Cozy little hotel. Rooms were very clean + nice wallpapers! Our room had windows to the courtyard so it was really peaceful. The breakfast was ok, but not special. Smoking in the breakfast room.
Its cultural atmosphere. No abundant hot water. No heating in the bathroom. It was December.
Boutique hotel; very clean. Very well situated for sightseeing, shopping and eating. Staff courteous and generally spoke English well. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. No
nice personnel at the reception desk ; hotel well situated in the city center, next to a metro station ; good breakfast : large (basic) rooms room 311 is next to an engin that makes a terrible noice, night and day...
Great staff and service, convenient location close to the railway station and all the attractions, overall a lovely hotel
staff very helpful and went out of there way to accomodate any of our needs..service better than a 4 star beds a bit uncomfortable
location and very well run
Extremely good value for money. Wonderful staff, location. Room was small, but comfortable. And breakfast was wonderful. Colour of the front door. Looks like a sex-shop.
the staff at reception were great, particularly in helping us find an ice-hockey event. It's right next to Mayakovskaya metro which we used a lot. would be nice to step out of bed unto carpet or a rug - it's vinyl on the floor.
The staff was fantastic in both courtesy and smiles.
Excellent location on main street. Deluxe room was very comfortable and spacious with a heated bathroom floor. Rates include breakfast which is a nice little buffet with possibility to have english breakfast as well. Staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommended as it's not too expensive for a city like St Petersburg. If we go there again, we will def. opt for Nevsky Forum hotel
it is just in center what i want
Taxi arrangement Very small rooms and bathrooms!!!, poor breakfest - long wait for service, no English luangage TV channel
The location is pretty good. The hotel is absolutely clean and of international status - rooms are well decorated, flat screen TVs, great beds - you get a lot of comfort. There's not a lot of amenities at the hotel, except for a decent-size hotel lobby. The room doors are a bit on the thin side but at night there is no noise.
I can recommend this hotel to everyone. First of all - location, it's perfect. You are in the heart of the city, but away from noise. I would pay even more for staying here. My room was clean and cozy, with smart design, as well as the whole building. The staff were polite and helpful. There's a free wi-fi zone and a restaurant.
very helpful staff arranged car, driver and guides to take us to the sites. The staff spoke English and were able to direct us to the places we wished to see.
the place too small standart room. window from room to the bathroom, you can hear every sound from other rooms and a hall? as if the walls maid of papier.
I like location, hospitality, price, interior, cleanliness, service, quality of ficilities, design, food. I also like that this house looks inside and outside like a historic monument.
The care of the hotel staff, specially the attention and help of the reception staff was great. The floor was not very well cleaned during my stay. Apart from that, it was clean enough.
Location is very good, also hotel is very stylish Everything was very clean, but there was a bad smell coming somewhere from pipes in bathroom
Modern spirits perfectly add to the old Russian empire style of the interior. Location is perfect - very close to the main street but still out of jams and hussle and fresh air comes from the nearby river. Restaurant closes a bit early for me... but a 24 hour shop is next door. Really loved the security man - Steel Jaw from James Bond's but very polite and charming. Good for business - we used the conference room and everything was ok, the bigger conference room is much better in outlook. And... free WiFi everywhere! Free safety box in the room is a good benefit in the tourist city. Still dream of going to Rossi Club which is said to be best in the city... didn't have time. The restaurant is quite expensive and the menu is too eclectic, would really like to get more of the Russian traditional cousine. But, it is actually run not by the hotel, but gives discounts to hotel residents.
convenient location, heritage building with modern interior The staff was not helpful in getting me a taxi to the airport. They wanted to charge me 1500 rubles, which is 3 times what I eventually paid for a taxi, which I arranged myself (even though I don't speak Russian). The hotel staff at the front desk wouldn't even give me the phone number for a taxi.
Nicely positioned - just off (too) busy Nevski Prospekt with a stand of Teremok right opposite - excellent pancakes... Breakfast was excellent too. The rooms were rather small but nicely furnished.
I must say I was disappointed with this hotel. I think I expected more - I even went back to the website to re read the reviews to see if I had missed something. The best thing about the place was the location. The first rooms we were given were on the 7th floor. It had stained carpet and both rooms were small - the small double bed had to be pushed up against the wall as the room was so small. I quietly complained and they were very helpful and relocated us. In the end it was ok - but the location made up for it. The rooms are very small, plain, functional with a busy breakfast room - but enough for everyone. A computer was made available for guests and this was great. Very good staff The size of the rooms.
The location of the hotel Very small facilities
Location was superb. The carpet was old and dingy. Not enough storage in the bathroom but otherwise we certainly received value for our money.
Great reception staff, check-in (which was late at night) and check-out was an easy and welcoming pleasure. The hotel location could not be better and is literally only 2 minutes from Nevsky Prospekt. Breakfast in the Grand Cafe on the first floor is simple but with reasonable variety, and the restaurant is run very efficiently by friendly and attentive staff. The hotel currently offers a half price for Sunday nights but this is only given if the booking is made on their site and not if done on the Booking.com website. I think this deal should be available to everyone regardless of where the booking is made.
Repair work right down the windows.
It was very close to all major attractions in the city. The staff spoke English and were helpful. The breakfast was not very satisfying or good. The rooms were small and the smoking that was allowed at the hotel was over-powering.
The very adequate location close to historic as well as the business heart of the city where numerous bars, restaurants, shops and easy access to the public transportation exist, No
Very good location. Manager of Grand cafe is trying to make this cafe like McDonald's - always hurry you while you are eating.
Location of the hotel is very good. All famous and most interesting sights are near the hotel, e.g. it takes only 3min walk to the Hermitage and Lady of Kazan Cathedral. Breakfast was tasty and with wide assortment of food. Rooms are quite small. If you plan long stay in St.Petersburg (from my point of view) it will be better to choose another hotel.
On arrival we were upgraded to an apartment room with a huge bedroom! That was really nice, breakfast is really good, the choice is very wide, although the variety of food could be more different everyday, but still this hotel a good value for money. Hotel is situated not close to the metro station, nearest is about 10 min walk. It was my 4th time staying in Azimut and i will go there again, because its the cheapest good accomodation in the city with good breakfast and friendly staff. If you have more money, kindly advise you to book Business room, Comfort room is more simple and furniture is different. Bathrooms must be upgraded.
Good value for money hotel. Breakfast buffet has enough choice and flexible hours. It was very busy, as there are always busses passing through as well.
Good rooms, good location, nice restrant I thing bath is to old - from soviet union time
Breakfast Not clean water
Availability of WIFI Inadequate lighting in the room and non availability of fridge.
Nothing Comfort rooms are not in the main new building but in the old one (4story offices building, very old, scuffed, maximum no stars at all). Awful spring bed. Yellow water in the bathroom. No WiFi at all. The worst I've ever seen...
Rather nice Sky bar on the 17th floor. There is some smell on the first floor and red carpets.
The breakfast Hot water is brown! No air conditioner.
breakfast, restaurant small room and bathroom
Everything is ok!
