receptionist refused to speak English, we were supposed to pay for mineral water that was offered on the table with no pricelist (looked as a welcome gift)
The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very simple design and all the things you need with none of the fluff. The location is right near the city center with free safe parking and the staff is incredibly friendly. The breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended hotel in the center of Ostrava at a great price.
Clean and good value for money Nothing - surpassed my expectations
I specified the wrong date when booking, arrived next day for a single night, the hotel was empty, but they charged two nights without telling me and the invoice was just about a single night.
Nice staff, good breakfast with choice of very tasty cakes. Not so modern furniture; executive room without any freebie.
Very far from the airport . need of an expensive taxi drive of to rally the hotel
Friendly and compliant staff in reception and parking. Quiet place. Very good rate price/quality. Horrible servis in course of breakfast. On the free tables were not any cups, any cutlery, any teaspoon. Any staff over 10 minutes. We recieved cutlery from another tables with used plates !!!! ( For drinks we waited next 10 minutes.( all jugs with juices were always empty ) For eggs we waited also 10 minutes. Minimal assortmnet sweets and fruits. This is not realy level 4 star hotel breakfast. Hotel lobby in architural style or realistic communism.
Good location for transit trips to Wienna, Praha etc. Good staf and facilities
tasty dishes at restaurant , same very good poor sauna - definitely needs renovation! and is used by non-guests of hotel
Excellent room and excellent value for the money. We were very pleasantly surprised. The location. It is far away from the center and you cannot walk anywhere from the hotel, you must use transportation.
No.7Tram to Svinov train station(11 min.).No.2 tram to Center railway(22 min.) station
nice quiet area, good breakfast, its good place if you want to spend peacefull time and far from city rush.
friendly staff, good parking, clean room
Good value for money
Just a good value for money. everything very clean. Breakfast is good!
The hotel was rebuilded and the business rooms are very nice nad comfortable. I am appreciate Internet cable connection.
Superb and friendly staff! Considering the area, it was a bit pricey. However, based on my travels in the area, it appeared to be the nicest hotel in that vacinity. WiFi is not free!
Nice rooms, but not so well cleaned. They only switch the towels and make your bed each day.
Everything is OK. Very clean, very comfortable hotel, great, helpful personnel.
Spacious bedrooms. Modern design. Large shower. Good WIFI internet (approx. 700 CZK for 24 hours) Restaurant & breakfast area was a bit cold due to the Air Conditionning.
Good service, good breakfast. Nice spa. Brand new large hotel, however seemed extremely empty and without any atmospheare. Looks like a chain of Ibis hotels just with higher standards. Poor location (business park, far from the city centre - some 30 minutes by foot). Overpriced.
large and clean rooms, much variety in breakfast, best hotel which i ever seen in Ostrava. its not exactly in city center. it takes 6-7 min by taxi.
Convenient location for business trip - just a step from Orchard centre
There was a really rare smell during all the stay in the room.
nice, good kitchen
Everything, exvept that there wellness centre is not as you would expect. No massages!! Staff not good english and did not know where the hotel was located on a map. A fireman had to tell us!!
It was a good, clean and convenient transiting overnight stop.
Good Breakfast, good location The pink hallway color is really ugly.
Excellent buffet available-wide selection of food and very good. All was fine. We were tracing our family heritage in Ostrava and needed a hotel that was clean and well located. We felt the cost was high but for one night the value was good.
everything: location, breakfast, etc. no
It was the best all round hotel that I have stayed at in the czech rep as I have also visited prague and brno. The charge for use of the internet.
A good hotel, but over-priced and perhaps over-rated for the small city of Ostrava. Courteous and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet very poor for a hotel that claims a 5-star rating and charges a 5-star price. Room, while good was not 5-star. Had the rating/pricing been 3 to 4 star, then the hotel would have been absolutely fine.
Very good location just in the city center 2 minutes from the old market. Hotel very clean, price quite low Some equipment in the room was a little worn out, mainly the bathroom, but for that price there.s no need to complain.
The young man on Reception frequently assisted us during our stay. He was extremely polite, nothing was too much trouble for him and his English was excellent. Breakfast was very good indeed - the food was exceptionally good and there was plenty of choice. I did feel that the cost for the room was rather on the high side, but the hotel and its staff were certainly extremely good.
Room was large and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location was ideal. Wide range of choice for breakfast.
It was convenient, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was polite, breakfast was good. Smoking in the lobby.
good restaurant, location, value for money
very quite hotel i like this point wirless internet connection in some rooms is zero in some other rooms is okay.
very nice building , good restaurants and excellent pub , staff very helpful difficult to find if you drive , no road signs , no sign in the hotel
Refreshing, distinct antidote to jaded business/tourist hotels. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent food & clean, comfortable room.
Nice atmosphere of old castle, very friendly stuff and good restaurant.
Very stylish, and a great pivnice downstairs Price above the norm for the region, but worth paying extra
Staffs are friendly and kindness. It is a bit far from Ostrava downtown.
very nice and romantic place, old castle style, stylish rooms, very friendly persons, clean, nice restaurant and nice pub with own brewery, car park nothing
The Zamek Zabreh is not a good hotel. It is an excellent hotel. Make sure you visit the brewery the beer & food are fantastic. I would recommend it without hesitation. Not very easy to find, make sure you have the location on your map/sat nav or you will drive past it.
Clean rooms, friendly staff Location is not too close to downtown
Very nice and causy hotel not far away from Ostrava-centre, quiet surrounding, lot of sport activities (tennis, soccer...), very friendly staff breakfast a bit small - but acceptable
service was way above regional standard. Rooms are very well made and an extra effort is made at all level. Probably the best hotel experience I had in Central europe.
The hotel was located just in the middle of our two days trip, good location for overnighting for very fair rate, that corresponds to service.
looks modern and has enough parking places The rooms are very small and noisy. and if there are some activities going on in the place down stairs you hear everything
Nice clean hotel which is outside of the city. Rather close to a trainline, during nights no problem but in the morning outside it was a bit noisy.
The services,meals,staff no
This is a 4-star hotel and I could reserve it for 38 Euro. It was amazing value. The features of the hotel all correspond to the 4 stars, not the price I paid. :) I liked the bowling there, and the Restaurant next door. The staff could be more friendly, cleaning people, Brekfast staff is not smiling to the guest, not greeeting them. At this level I think it is obligatory. Reception was notably exception. The person there spoke fluent English and was very professional. I wanted to take the advertised massage howeved I was mamazed to hear that I need to reserve it at least 1 day earlier. Therefore I could not use the service.
Reasonable value, staff was helpful to find locations in city Very difficult to find, even following hotel directions, limited English made difficult to negotiate extend stay at a reasonable rate
The hotel was not cheap, so I expected a nice hotel. And it was.
I liked the fact it was out of the mainstream of the city but close enough that a taxi was cheap into the City. The location was superb and the staff more then helpful. It was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. My room was a little hot and no air conditioning. Therefore had to sleep with windows open and got bitten numerous times by mosquitos. But not a great problem and certainly did not spoil my stay.
Good dining room and good service. Staff spoke good to passable English. It took a very long time for the hot water to work its way to my room, 10 minutes or more.
Room quality, clean bathroom, well located Nothing
There was no hot water in the afternoons. The water pressure was low even for the cold water. They did not make up my room after the first night of my stay.
Location - the only advantage of this "hotel". At the arrival, nobody wanted to help us with finding the way to parking in the maze of Ostrava's one-way streets. TV was supposed to be 37 inches. Reality was different - it was less than 20 inches. But it didn't matter because it didn't work anyway. The air condition was very noisy and a lot of water dripped off from the device during the night. Breakfast - the variety of food was very small.
We loved our junior suite room with all its extras, down to the white terrytowelling bathrobes, the view from each window and the beautiful bathroom. Perhaps the smell of smoke when entering the foyer = it can be quite annoying when zou dont smode yourself.
The central location Uncomfortable bed!
Location, old wood. Can be noisy on the street side.
excellent localisation terrible breakfast!!!
The location is good - a lot of bars and pubs are near the hotel. Although it was advertised on the website that there is internet connection everywhere in the hotel, Wifi did not work in our room on the third floor. The elevator was not functioning all the time.
The place had a homely traditional feel to it, with some old day grandeur mixed in !
Very new, modern, well-designed. Excellent, continental-style breakfast with the best fried eggs I have had in a European hotel! Also lovely fresh french baguettes. I would have given it 'excellent' for cleanliness apart from the fact that when I first went into the room, there were at least a dozen dead flies on the window sill and five on the bed itself. Very off-putting. However, everything else was extremely clean.
good location poor breakfast, no water at the breakfast, they are selling water 25 KC( about 1 EUR). never seen this before.
Very good location, best value for money in Ostrava
located at nice place, very clean rooms, free wireless connection, the central aircondition working very noisy, sometimes its difficult to sleep.
Reception desk staff was very helpful, professional and friendly, room was nice and clean. Credit card terminal was "temporary" out of order (forced to pay cash) in combination we have accidentally locked wallets in room safe was not nice at all. Well, in nearly 24hrs we were able to get our wallets back but for extra money charged (25USD approx). When trying to discuss about that with hotel manager we have got 2 options pay that or to be evicted - well done!
Smart, modern hotel situated in city centre. Room, comfortable. Good breakfast with real fruit juice instead of squash which one normally gets in the Czech Republic. The street outside the hotel came alive at about 22:00 with crowds of people and fast food stalls and stayed like this until 7 in the morning. There was no air conditioning in the room and in hot weather one would have to open a window which would bring all the sounds and smells of the street into the room. Breakfast did not start until 8.
