The staff was very friendly and helpful The net curtains were dirty or stained not sure which one. The linen was not changed on a regular basics and the bathroom was only cleaned every second day, but not very well...... the carpet was badly stained......
There was a wardrobe right near the bed so I bumped into it with my hand during the sleep all the time which I do not consider as a nice comfortable night. The hotel a bit old.
The staff were very friendly, the room clean and comfortable and the beach was within walking distance. No
Good location, available parking Rooms quite small and dark
Location good. Staff helpful despite the fact we couldnt speak French. A very relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the location was excellent- very close to the beach, retaurants etc having a hotel car park was good as parking is very congested in the town. Decor past its best, rather shabby
The location of this hotel is great, just a few blocks from the beach and centrally located in Canet. The staff and mgmt are very attentive and courteous. Lovely local area with shops and restaurants, not to mention the beach. I didn't care for the shower with no shower curtain. The staff/mgmt. Could have a better supply of English brochures and information: nearly everything and every spoken word was in French.
Good Hotel, Helpful staff and an excellent location
Freindly servive. Very close to beach and resort centre.
I liked the village style complex and yet it was quiet and peaceful. The pool was very nice and well located. I liked the patio to sit out and have meals. It would have been nice to have a barbeque available for cooking on the patio during my stay.
The freedom to self cater whilst also having access to on site facilities When the balance of the hire charge was taken from my mastercard account before I arrived I received no e-mail from the hotel to say that this had happened
relaxed, quiet, air-conditioning, pool, relatively convenient. car is necessary needed bar/snack bar/restaurant facilities
I enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Not enough staff on reception only one person could speak English. No staff manning the bar had to wait for receptionist to serve us.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating in getting us another room and helpful with directions to get out of town. The first room shown had the definite impression of being below the standard. When we asked for a better and larger room, we did get one in a better location, but with an auxiliary bed on the wall, covered up by a sheet, still showing the legs, which did not look very pleasant.
We liked the size of the room and the ease of parking - in particular, the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The staff were off-hand, bordering on rude. We had to wait an hour on arrival as our room was not ready. (We arrived after the scheduled arrival time.) We were given no apology and no indication as to when it would be ready. The view from our room was poor - we overlooked a busy roundabout.
Nothing - it was horrendous and the first room we were checked in to was so disgusting that we had to be moved immediately Everything - The Hotel was not clean and extermely over priced it should have been at least half the price we paid and the star rating removed completely. I doubt it has been inspected for rating for many years!
The breakfast Over priced, small room, not well equiped ,noisey at the front
great resort hotel and enjoye the complex greatly
Our stay went fine, however i am not happy that i have returned home today to discover the hotel has charged me twice for my stay-(strangely usin two different company names). If these are the sort of antics your aents get up to i will have to re consider booking on line with your company again. Found our stay to be comfortable, relaxing with the use of extensive facilities in neighbouring sister resorts. Maintenance of room facilities was a bit slow.
nice leisure center too far from the beach and not easy to access the beach, rooms not value for the price
Moder\tely quiet and gtenerous breakfast Very poor decorative state of repair for the level of rating.
The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was OK. We were very disappointed, this does not deserve the Mercure name or the 3 stars - very small, cramped room, hardly any floor space. It was cold outside and the room was extremely difficult to heat due to bad insulation. Their web site mentions cable/satellite television, but we only had access to free French channels. The other ones programmed said "signal is coded". We assume the hotel didn't want to pay the subscription in the off season. Of the inaccessible programmed ones, we noticed that there were no English-speaking ones (or other languages for that matter). Also there was publicity for a Mercure deal of "great wine by the glass" at the bar but the choice was poor, the local one offered would never be considered a great French wine
I found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. My room had a splendid location overlooking the Mediterranean. The breakfast was excellent and the fact that room service was available was a very good point.
Reception was courteuos, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was first class and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, as well as being on the beach front, it was located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the square for peace and quiet, but only a 10 minute walk to the centre of activity.
A good stop off for the long distance traveller, lovely beach location for those who love beaches. The nearby town is not the best place to eat with little choice for the more mature traveller.
Very friendly staff, with 24hr access to front desk. Brilliant value for money
As close to the beach as it is possible to get, and with no parking problems.Excelant location for anyone with a problem walking. We thought 10 euros for our dog was a wee bit steep!
The Rooms were comfortable and clean with an excellent view of the sea. The Breakfast selection was very good. A Mini-Bar/Fridge would be a good addition, especially in the summer months.
Rooms a bit on the small side, but a fair reflection of the price.Ample parking although not covered.Close to centre.
Excellent location approximately 150 metres from extensive beach. Very clean with friendly staff.
Quiet location close to nice beach, restaurants within walking distance.Helpfull staff. Parking charge expensive, small room.No air con.
It is very close to the beach, very clean and comfortable.
Spacious room and en suite... Staff were extremely helpful despite language barrier... We upgraded the room so we could have air conditioning due to the high temperatures hoever this was not working. We raised the issue with the maid who said she would fix however this was not done.
That the security agent was king enough to help us out with the code of the door that didn't work. That it didn't have someone at the reception 24/7.
None Small bedroom , small bathroom , no lift ,
Good location, low price, parking Strong smell of chemicals (disinfection ?) in the room, quite difficult to find when going from highway A9 (exit 42) - remember to print a detailed map !
Idealy placed enroute to Spain. Affordable,Comfortable. To be highly recomended Limited directions but found easily by downloading the TomTom app for Buffallow Grills as one is ideally placed opposite.
Beautiful location, exceptionally clean appearance, easy to find, realaxed atmosphere. Both a buffet dinner and an an a la carte menu were displayed outside of the dining room for a 7.30 p.m. start. We waited until the start time only to find out that the a la carte menu was not being offered. We only wanted a small meal and after having a drink at the bar, a drive downtown was not an option. The walk was a long way.
nothing At first we was try find this hotel about 2 h Direction is wrong. Very small room and bathroom It is smaller then on sailing yacht. In water was too much chlor smelling everywhere. Very noisy. This night was terrible.
Nice basic hotel, clean & beds are comfortable. T.v with English channels. Good budget hotel for someone who will not be spending much time in room and just needs somewhere to sleep. On-site parking with no additional charge.
Although a typical stopover location the staff were most friendly and helpful. We chose a simple meal for dinner and without doubt the best fresh pasta we have tasted for a considerable time. Light and tasty. The shower/bath was poor. Namely the shower did not work and the bath had a very large chip out of the enamel. Room itself was small so do not bring a large suitcase! Bed though very large.
I spend at the hotel two days with my Family, as we stop there on our trip to Spain. The hotel is located directly on A9 and ca. 10 min awai from the beach, this made it very confortable for us. We had two rooms. One was very clean the other one was not so good as a guesse before smoked in there. The hotel service team was very friendly to help with this and to make the room comfortable as the hotel was fully booked.
The new Campanile style is a cut above the old. I have stayed in dozens over the years and this was probably the best of the bunch. Good rooms, good staff, delightful buffet. The price is too high for a motel, it would make me think twice about booking again.
Good reception service really helpful . I left my phone on departure and they hfound it and have promised to send home to me by post. I live in England but have not received it yet just over a week later would be grateful for a confirmation that it's on it's way. Thank you. Peter
The hotel is well situated for motorway access, and has friendly staff, a pool, and a restaurant that is fine for travellers needs.
Clean, nice staff, good facilities such as a pool. We came in late on two occasions in the early hours of the morning and the security gates were opened promptly for us with our key waiting with staff in reception Difficult to locate, you need to have sign posts. Even harder to find if you have travelled south of Rivesaltes. The cost of breakfast was too expensive and nearly the same price as a 3 course lunch menu in local restaurants - I suggest no more than 5-6 euros for a breakfast
Staff were friendly & helpfull. Service was good & room while small was comfortable. Location- hotel was difficult to find
Nice stuff, room not big, but ok Very slow wi-fi and if you need to go to Perpignan every day, it is really far.
Friendly and polite staff. Nice patio and dining area. Easy access and secure parking. Quiet. Pet friendly. Don't know about other rooms, but our room was extremely small.
Nice hotel staff, good breakfast and meals, nice and tidy rooms No, I really liked to stay in this hotel. I recommend this hotel, and if I again spend some holidays in those areas, I would choose this hotel to stay.
We liked the staff very much at the hotel, they were generous with their time, and made us feel welcome. The hotel is likeable, and is nicely placed for the city and surrounding attractions. Our room was quite small, though the beds were adequate and comfortable. Bad air conditioning, no means to make a cuppa!
it was a nice room THe restaurant you had to tell in advance if you would stay and the price was kind of high.
Nothing Service was slow
Great hotel. Very clean decor, lovely Catalan ambience. The patio is agreat place to eat breakfast. Nice welcome and friendly staff. Will definitely return for a longer stay later in the year.
Decor and atmosphere in hotel was good. Staff were very helpful.
nothing this hotel seemed used by sales reps. it is on a sort of industrial estate. it is unsuitable for a vacation. the pool is small - maybe 3m x 4m. None of that info is apparant from the website. the food was pedestrial and quite expensive - okay for business expenses maybe
Beautiful courtyard dining area. Good red wine. Rather tasteless blue bed surround with hardly any space from the foot of the bed to the wall to walk around. Poor outlook. Small room. Old dingy corridors. Off hand reception and service.
Lovely friendly couple ,very welcoming .Good Accomodation in a Quaint Old Building. ,with easy access to Sea and Attractions.
The hotel was for what we paid. The restaurant was popular. The owners were friendly. Very small rooms, dated, smoking rooms. The town itself doesn't have much to offer.
Very friendly efficient staff.
The weather Poor hotel no taxis at airport and no bus at airport
Very good value. Nice clean and comfortable beds. Good breakfast Was not able to have evening meal as restaurant was closed.
Very quiet, away from noisy traffic. Perfect with hire car as out of town. No
The hotel was easy to access from the road system. Near main roads. I thought it was unusual in that it was sited near an Industrial Estate but this did not materially detract. Not to be confused with coastal location.
The effort in providing a really nice place still under remodeling but already above standart in their category. None
Very interesting hotel, one I felt at home in immediately. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good room and breakfast. Freezing cold outdoor pool (could have been a little warmer...!!), but great jacuzzi!!! Nothing!
Close to airport. Check-in. Greeted by a cleaner with very little idea of what to do. The hotel appeared deserted. Tried to get a drink on arrival but only the cleaner to give us a bottle from the refrigerator. No lift facilities.Despite there being very few residents we were given a room on the first floor at the end of the corridor and offered no assistance with baggage etc.
The trees and plants. The swimming pool and terrace. Food. Staff. Noisy room next near laundry room, also noise from industrial estate where hotel situated.
The quiet area and quiet room accommodation perhaps because of lack of guests. The breakfasts were far below average
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. We did enjoy our short stay and for the price it was very reasonable. The hotel could do with a good lick of paint and updating, the pool was good and clean but the pool chairs and surrounds and garden were scruffy. The room was dusty and no mirrors and only 1 plug socket. It was also very hard to find.
Excellent value but first impressions very off-putting. Helpful staff gave useful directions to village restaurants.Rooms adequate and clean but need further attention to make them more attractive.Swimming pool well kept. discussions with the owner revealed that this was a very run-down hotel and they have been rescuing it fot the past few years. There is still some way to go -especially with the garden areas but they are doing a good job and we wish them well.
The restaurant was excellent.
Brilliant atmosphere, lovely rooms, wonderful heated pool and helpful charming staff. The Jean-Paul Hartmann experienece was fantastic. Certainly the best part of our French holiday. . Because the hotel is quite isolated I would have like the addition of a Spa, treatment unit, where massage was available. Also a small boutique shop with a few essential items like nail varnish, international newspapers maybe.
The hotel was quiet and in a good location (as long as you have a car). The restaurant and breakfast were very good. The hotel is looking a bit "tired" these days and is in need of refurbishment. Our shower leaked badly, but obviously the hotel knows this and left lots of hand towels for mopping up. A pet peeve of mine: paying money to stay in a hotel, then having to clean up after each shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Cleaning floors! See above.
Beautiful rooms & lovely atmosphere. pool & beach very pretty. Excellent staff & service. Would like an alternative eating arrangement. One does not want to eat Michelin every evening - also restaurant very expensive for eating every evening!
Nice, quiet, relaxing location. Helpful staff.
The people at the hotel were the best part of this. Very receptive (at reception!) and nice. This hotel is really in need of a makeover of various kinds. The decor, the services "not" provided (no gym, spotty wifi, ancient elevator). The shower was awful (the bathtub was great) and the air conditioning had been turned off for the "year," even though it was quite sultry. We slept with the door open and were bitten by bugs.
location and stuff
The rooms were well appointed with safe, mini bar, aircon, good bed and nice bathroom. Our suite was a good size with a nice view. The location was good with secure parking. There is a Michelin star resaurant as part of the hotel which we really wanted to try but we couldn't find any prices advertised which made us think it was probably very expensive and we didn't eat here as a result. I'm no penny pincher but 54 euros for a glass of Cognac at the bar made us think the restaurant was probably a little steep too.
top restaurant and perfect service
Calibre of hotel building, cleanliness, quality of continental breakfast. Charming setting on island in lagoon, with boats galore nearby. Restaurant, bar and room service all closed for the two days we were there. No notification of this closure. Unhelpfulness of staff in helping us find alternative eating place - sent us to a restaurant that was also closed! The road to reach the hotel was unmade and in poor condition.
clean hotel, friendly staff
Very comfortable modern hotel. Ideal for business traveller. Less suitable for visiting tourist, except for en route visit,as some distance from beaches. Located on modern business park. Good restaurant nearby which was relativeiy cheap The breakfast is overpriced for what you get but as this is optional go elsewhere
Standard business hotel in the commercial zone.
location and the excellent restaurant refurbishment of the room is a bit outdated
Every thing was perfect ,the team very friendly and helpfull ,we had a fantastic room ,with a beautiful view ,ademas el restaurant estaba excelent
staff were helpful. do not like ground floor rooms - i should have mentioned it on the booking. really nice though - private and quiet, will go back. hated the set menu at the weekend - i like a la carte - vegetarian and eat little. did not ike the constant hoover in the pool as i like to swim.
The quality of the room was good. It was amazingly quiet and calm despite it's location on the edge of Perpignan. The food served up in the evening looked and smelt excellent, but was too expensive for our budget and we had allready had a big meal at lunch time!! However, we would have no hesitation to stay at the hotel again, and you never know we might even eat in the restaurant!!
Excellent Restaurant Very good Ambiance
excellent food and service, nice surroundings, attractive rooms difficult to find, saw little of their claimed park and wildlife.
Food in restaurant was very good. Overall very nice room and hotel in general was quite nice.
The surroundings, food, rooms and staff were fantastic. The staff were so accommodating, we were able to arrange a dinner party for 15 pesons with one days notice. Did I mention the staff were fantastic!!! A comment only, is that this hotel isn't central to the town (only about a 5min drive). this didn't affect us but may be of interest to others.
Very little, the room and bathroom were clean. There is a restaurant which is an enormous part of this hotel, it is run for the benefit of local business people but is the only on-site source of food for the hotel. Room service is only available when they say it is. The managerial staff at the restaurant clearly do not enjoy guests from the hotel eating there and expect the worst tables and cold service. The restaurant tables surround the pool on three sides, which is not shown in the pictures and you are not allowed to swim in the pool before 9am or after 7pm. If you swim between 12 and 3pm, expect an audience of local businessmen to watch and comment. The gardens shown also host functions, during lunch and in the evening. Basically, holiday guests are suffered but not really welcome
The food was at a very high standard
The manager? owner? was a personable, helpful and intelligent man.We got some wonderful suggestions which made our stay excellent. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. The location was great for sightseeing, train and restaurants.
We were very impressed by the genuine friendliness of the manager & his wife. Especially his excellent english language skills. We have already recommended this hotel to friends & would use it again. Nothing.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean and adequate. Breakfast was similarly basic but good enough. Convenient location just minutes away from the city center. Wifi was free but somewhat slow. Only some of the hotel staff speak English, need to know some French if the English speaking guy is not around.
Great value for nice accomodations
The friendly staff, who spoke good English, closeness to Perpignan centre. We were fortunate to be able to park right outside the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel staff were outstanding - so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent value - 7 euros for a buffet style consisting of croissants, bread, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cereals, coffee, etc. 15 mins walk to centre of Perpignan. Nothing I did not like
All that I read about the hotel spoke about the service, and it was true. The staff was incredbly helpful. It was easy to find, and not far from the city center. It has a great price and I highly recommend this hotel!
Staff were great
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very well situated Nothing
Staff members very kind and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Although downtown the rooms were very quiet. There's no parking lot, only a public parking a hundred meters aways which costs about 15 euros per night.
Large room; clean bathroom; beds were ok but not great. Carpets needed replacement
The sympathy of the hotel crew. It's really impossible to find it if you don't have a map of the city. I had to go around the block four times, park at the Wilson Parking Lot and have the hotel clerk guide me through the streets by the cell phone to be able to get there.
Hotel de la Loge is a small, family-owned & operated hotel, very centrally located in Perpignan. It is on a quiet ruelle wide enough for foot traffic only. Owners Mirielle and Herve Barraud are cheery, outgoing, and very informative. All by themselves, they are worth staying at their hotel. The room was modestly appointed, as befitting the modest price, but very clean and neat. The couple recommended several restaurants (highly recommended is Amalia Restaurant 50 meters away, which features Portuguese-style tapas and the haunting songs of the famed fadista Amalia Rodrigues. Between the owners and the very central location, this is a superior choice. I will definitely stay with them again on my next visit. I am not a complaining personality, and besides, found nothing to even consider complaining about.
Man on the desk did not like us bringing a friend who was staying in a near by hotel into our room for a drink.
Good location in the centre, large bedrooms Fairly noisy, but central location. Hotel tried to overcharge me because they did not read the booking confirmation fax.
Good, clean, cheap, and quiet hotel - staff were helpful and breakfast was good value for money.
Location and service received
It was central, good value and clean
reasonable price and amenable staff
Near the centre, large family room, clean , comfortable, quiet. No parking directly at the hotel, Need to use and pay for a nearby car park
Extremely good value for money given it's city cnter location. Staff also friendky and helpful. Lift was very small.
Fantastic location - 5 minutes walk from the castle centre of Perpignan - great cafes and restaurants
Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, nice view of street, well cleaned room, well functioning bathroom, comfortable beds (though bit small for tall people). In terms of decoration, furnishing and facilities, rather dated, consequently seemed expensive. The room was also really quite small for the 3 beds we had. If it had been 30% cheaper I would not mention this, but I have stayed in very much smarter rooms all over europe for the same money.
Easy to find, just behind the Marina. Reception was very welcoming and the other staff were very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were clean, well furnished with an excellent heating/air-con system. Comfortable beds and a good buffet breakfast. Very near the small town which has a good selection of restaurants - to suit all pockets. Well worth a visit.
Two minute walk from the beach. Secluded from the main strip, so quiet at night. Excellent staff.
Excellent location Rooms were basic - could have been larger.Could have provided hospitlaity - kettle, tea/coffee. It would have been handy to have been able to open a window for fresh air at night. Although it had air con it was noisy as well as not good for the environment.
staff very pleasant. Rooms very clean. Air conditioning. Had a balcony which did not expect so nice surprise. Good location close to very pleasant harbour
Reasonable location, easy access to the beach. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, the bed was very soft & there was no hairdryer in the room.
Dinner on the terrace, pool, quiet setting
Very clean, rooms were good size, good value for the money
1. Exceptionally friendly staff. 2. Beautiful premises and relaxing atmosphere. 3.Cuisine. 4. Swimming pool. 5. Location. The hotel is difficult to find using maps and GPS does not accept the address. The Hotel staff has found a solution of inputting absolute coordinates of the hotel and it worked fine but it is better to have this information upfront. I would recommend to place a simple map on the hotel web-site along with the absolute coordinates data and correct the road numeration in couple of travel books.
A nice hotel, clean and comfortable, lovely grounds with swimming pool, within walking distance to the center of Roussillon. I would be happy staying there a few days.
Walking distance to Roussillon centre, secure parking
Near the ocre nature walk and the old ocre factury. All details are well thought ... and garden has splendid light architectural interventions. Food was as well more then ok.
Clean and comfortable. Set in nice grounds with swimming pool. 10 mins walk to town centre. Breakfast expensive.
Small hotel with interesting exterior lighting concept for pool area. Lobby, terrace and restaurant clean and elegant. Open kitchen very appealing to view - appeared very promising for the last night of a 2- week vacation in South of France. Paid extra for young child but got worst room; located at top of open public area, room carpet very dirty, tiny balcony facing garden with only 2 chairs. When requested room change they said none available but hotel clearly not full. At 7:00 am someone burned slices of bread and set off fire alarm and panic. Due to location, our room immediately filled with bitter smoke and we were offered no apology for the inconvenience but instead lied to about the cause. (I had seen the cause because I was the first one to exit the room and rush down the stairs to assess the situation-they immediately removed the charred bread and toaster). A hotel is responsible for experience of their guests; it failed our expectations & offered no compensation.
