Originally a YMCA, our hotel is housed in a 10-story Georgian revival-style structure with intriguing historical flair, located in the heart of the city's business district and less than one block from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Striking features and architectural detail awaken the eye: a skylight allows for the play of natural light to our 75-foot central atrium courtyard, while an airy restaurant/bar with graceful archways and classic woodwork brings endless possibility. Our 202 rooms feature bold black and white decor with inspired red accents to enhance the hotel interior's rich millwork. The Grand Ballroom provides a stately yet original setting for any gathering, with views of Philadelphia's renowned City Hall.
The valet misinformed us about the parking. They strongly recommended we pay 50$ for valet parking rather than on the street. The hotel room was not very ideal or modern for the price. The towels and bed sheets smelled as if they had not been changed or washed. The hotel did NOT provide amenities, and the shower products provided were very low quality and would not use them on my body. There are plenty other choices in Philadelphia and would not recommend this La meridian.
Very modern with a side of vintage appeal. Awesome doorman
Old hair dryers. Scratched mirrors. Dirty Windows.
Staff was absolutely amazing!!! Location is two blocks away from convention center, reading terminal market and major attractions. We stayed in a interior room and didn't hear a sound. We will def stay here every time we visit Philly.
Rooms are a bit on the small side. Lighting is very dim in the room.
Clean,comfortable and welcoming
Interesting hotel since it had been a YMCA before
The elevator gave a lot of trouble.
The friendly atmosphere in this stylish, classy hotel.
The rain.....but the hotel had complimentary umbrellas in the entrance hall.a very welcome touch as we'd forgotten ours!
