The staff was amazing, as was the food and atmosphere. 'The Yard' is an excellent place to come and try restaurants and this was our first time at Cleo's. The food was nothing like we expected, it was better. And the flavors were vibrant and left us very satisfied. The price of everything was exactly right, worth the amount we ended up spending. A++

THe best place to get oysters for $1. THeir clam chowder is the best. It is not the heavy, thick, kind, so don't expect Red Lobster chowder. Also the fish and chips are excellent. A friend loves the bouillabaisse.

We ate here twice while visiting Phoenix. Each time the four of us enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. We had lobster rolls that were delicious but there was a little too much butter on the toasted buns making them more greasy than necessary. The bouillabaisse was excellent--very generous on the seafood but a bit stingy on the broth. The salmon was also very good. We would definitely return again.

For anyone who knows Good High Quality Food this is NOT it. For the amount they charge it should be. The fish-n-chips taste like Mrs Paul's and the fish is a grayish color...not good! The crab in butter made me feel sick. They use the worst crab meat that doesn't really taste like crab and drench it in butter, probably to disguise how horrible the crab quality is. The New England clam chowder was not thick and creamy like New England clam chowder is supposed to be. It was more watery like a Manhattan Chowder except not red. The shrimp was scary looking and not cleaned properly. You would have better luck and get WAY more for your money if you went to AJ's and got their large cooked shrimp.

I would highly recommend Little Cleo's. \nWe had made reservations but they were not necessary.\n4 of us went on the Monday night before Valentines day 2017, so there was no wait for a table.\nWe sat out by the fire with drinks while we waited for all to arrive.\nAtmosphere was great.\nService was great.\nThe drinks were great.\nThe seafood was great.\nThe crab legs, the crab in a jar, the and the bouillabaisse were all terrific. Actually everything was good, but those 3 stood out.\nParking can get a bit tough, so leave a little extra time for that. They do have complementary valet but that can get backed up too.\nPing pong and other games are there at the yard, so it is a fun place to be.

But the place was only so-so. First, it's difficult to find from 7th. Entrance is on the alley. It's crowded, confusing and loud trying to get into the actual restaurant walking through a sea of people and hostess stands with no help from anyone. Then you get into a pretty slick looking place and you feel like it will all be worth it. Glance at the menu that is somewhat limited but creative, and an eclectic drink menu. But the promise never really makes it and it's mostly the presentation which never seemed to match the descriptions and subsequently the expectations. Presentation, while attractive, was usually in plates, parfait cups and bowls too small for the food and made it difficult and messy to eat. Strange choice.\n\nBest dish we tried was the frog legs. They are a must. Fish and chips was good, although a bit pedestrian compared to the rest of the menu. Lobster roll was good, but way over-priced for the pay-off. Butternut Squash au gratin, not at all as expected, was very good. Apple cobbler dessert was a let-down and was another dish that suffered because of how it was served. Attractive, but a small mason jar and it was impossible to eat. Also, it didn't match the description.\n\nIt's worth a visit, but it was ultimately a disappointment for us.

Love that you are in Open Table and love your oysters and and broad selection of them and your hush puppies. Had reservation but didn't have table for four ready and you tried to sit us at a table for six right by door. Crab and butter jar not up to par but bread delicious. Po' boy not up to standard expected fare; would like more remoulade sauce. Slow service with drinks and one fill of water only. We didn't feel as if we had an attentive server and slow to clear. I've been here before so I know some of the food is excellent. The surgeon bacon & egg toast, frogs legs, bouillabaisse, buttermilk pie and grilled loup de mer are all delicious. This time I ordered the summer bites special since it included all the food I know I enjoy. My main course the grilled loup de mer was just as delicious as before but was maybe 1/3 the size it was last time. It was only about 2 ounces of fish and the tiniest amount of vegetables. I didn't expect it to be so small. Service was outstanding and the wine paring was a good value.

This is a great place that I think gets overlooked at the Yard. The food is really, really good. On several different visits, the food has been consistently fresh, well seasoned, and on point. I would recommend Little Cleo's! On this particular night, we happened to sit next to a very loud table, though the restaurant was not necessarily noisy. The service was ok- our server wanted to take our order about 30 seconds after we sat down, and we hadn't looked at the menu at all. She then disappeared for a very lengthy amount of time. Someone else had noticed we were waiting a long time and took our drink orders. The menu us a bit pricey, especially the main/ larger dishes, but the quality and freshness is there. The ambience is refined casual. Give this place a try if you're craving seafood, the food will be great!

Best Meal I've Ever Had in AZ\n\nI had high expectations of Little Cleo's, and they were totally exceeded. The food was fantastic - hands down the best meal I've ever had in Arizona. \nThe ambience was wonderful: classy and upscale but still casual and unpretentious.\nThe service was impeccable. The hostesses were friendly and helpful. Our server Shad had awesome recommendations and made our experience memorable.\n\nIt's hard to say what we liked best about our dinner. \nThe warm jar of crab was amazing. My husband had the octopus small plate and loved it. \nI'm a pescatarian and haven't had bacon since 6th grade, so the sturgeon bacon and eggs small plate was a delicious treat!\nWe both had bouillabaisse as our main course. Wow. Totally wow. Perfect mix of fresh, cooked-just-right shrimp, scallops, mussels, thinly sliced triangles of zucchini, served with crunchy, grilled bread to soak up the creamy-but-light broth. \nWe both had beignets with buttery caramel sauce for dessert. This was our first time dining at Little Cleo's. The service was great, the atmosphere fine, but our food was terrible. Two of us ordered the skid ink pasta with mussels. The pasta was mushy and the sauce had so much lemon juice in it, it made us pucker. It had a red sauce on it that had no flavor, probably because of the lemon juice. The whole dish overall was a terrible combination of ingredients. The Cajun shrimp, potatoes, and corn could have been good had the shrimp not been so overcooked it could bounce. The fish and chips were mediocre. Our waiter graciously comped us one of the pasta dishes when he noticed they were uneaten and we didn't want to box them to take home. We were grateful for that. Maybe they were having an off night or maybe a new cook. Not sure we will give it another try.

Asked for a children's menu & they didn't have one... \nThe place has good potential but to be honest this is not nearly as good as most of Fox's other restaurants. Having had good experiences at Little Cleo's on several occasions we wanted to take a friend from out-of-town for dinner. We were seated promptly, welcomed warmly by our waitress, and drinks and starters were ordered. There were no nightly specials, and having come primarily for fish, we ordered while sampling our starters. The frog legs are listed as 'crispy' but this was an excuse for over done. The hush-puppies were good and the garlic fries were tasty. We had all ordered the loup de mare as they did not have many fresh fish options. Our waitress returned to tell us they were sold out of the loup de mare and it was only 7:30 and definitely not busy. We ended up ordering the lobster roll, fish and chips and tuna. We were all unimpressed. My husband kept asking if I thought the restaurant had changed ownership as the food had gone downhill that drastically. We each ended up leaving half of our dinners and passing on dessert as it just wasn't great. The next morning we commented on how disappointed we were with our dinners and I'm not sure that we'll return again.

Order the crispy frog legs, you will not regret it! The place is really cute. The decor (i.e. white tiles, submarine diver helmet, etc) give it a maritime feel. The place is really awesome, would totally recommend it. Give that this is actually an honest review- my only issues with this place is it's located in a larger complex that is super packed and you have to get your car valet parked because there's no way the complex could fit all those people without a valet sandwiching your car. Also, the larger complex is a lot more rowdy than Little Cleo's so if you're looking for a romantic dinner, keep in mind you might have to walk through a biergarten-type area filled with college/shortly post-college kids in shorts and t-shirts.

Each restaurant has its own seating area, but there is an outside common area that is great! Flat Screen TVs, games and lots of people. Menu was incredible and the food, fantastic. The Lobster Roll was very good, and I did like the brioche bun, but afraid it still has a long way to go to compare to anything in New England. Fun place.

Little Cleo's was very accommodating about my shrimp allergy substituting oysters and mussels for the shrimp. The only negative was we felt rushed by the constant checking from staff. If we took a break between bites to talk staff we there to clear our plates. We will be back, but not on Friday or Saturday night.

Enjoyed restaurant week menu, which was a good value. Frog legs were the best in a very long time. Toffee pudding was decadent but wonderful. However, getting into the restaurant is horrible. Parking is the worst. It's confusing even trying to figure out where to enter. And once you enter the facility, you're part of this huge and really loud casual atmosphere and you have to work your way around to enter Cleo's. They were going to seat us in the huge loud area, but fortunately were able to find us a table 'inside' Cleo's where it's a bit quieter.

Came here for restaurant week, so expected that the portions would be small, and they were. Our shrimp cocktail had 2 shrimp served in a large bowl of ice. Looked pretty small! But they were fine. Maybe there would be more if it wasn't restaurant week. The frog legs were great -not the garlicky legs I've had before, but rather fried and served over a Asian cabbage salad - very good. Loved my main course bouillabaisse and the sticky toffee dessert. My husband was happy with his meal too (black kale salad, bouillabaisse and lemon icebox) . The ambiance is OK - sat 'outside' which is really like a large covered barn that is shared with a number of other restaurants. Would be fun for a group, but not for an intimate dinner for 2. Still I'd highly recommend if you like seafood and I'm sure we'll come back. The oyster bar looked great but didn't try.

My first visit to this delicious seafood restaurant towards the end of Arizona Restaurant week. The black-ink linguine with mussels , the shrimp and oysters with a delicious cocktail sauce with horseradish and two delectable desserts, created a sufficiently memorable experience to entice us to return again. We eat at tons of Fox owned establishments and most are just outstanding. I just don't like this place much. The food was just so-so and I don't like the environs of this space. It feels cold and fast foody...like I am in an airport or something. I just didn't like much of anything that I ate except the octopus.Really small portions, too. I doubt I will be back here...but glad to go back to North, Culinary Dropout, Green House, Blanco...etc. This is just one Fox place that didn't cut it for me.

We made a last minute reservation (a few days before) for Valentine's day for a very early dinner. We received numerous calls and emails from Little Cleo's to make sure we were coming and each time we verified our reservation.\nUpon arrival, we were seated immediately. The crowd was sparse but servers and other staff were scurrying around the restaurant. A server came by and wondered if we wanted a drink and I ordered a cocktail. We were brought water quickly.\nAfter 10 minutes or so, our server came by and asked if we were ready to order (we chose the pre fixe menu. She indicated that my cocktail would be right out. \nAnother 8-10 minutes passed and our first course arrived. Still no cocktail. I did let the server know that pre dinner drinks were not served after dinner started. I indicated that they would be in real trouble when they filled up if they could not serve at 4:45 with a sparse crowd. She apologized and I got my drink a few minutes later. I have to add that the oysters (3) were served with a tasty sauce and was very good.\nThings picked up after that and service improved. The food (4 courses) was good.

I love all the fox concept restaurants I have been to and frequently go to them. I had yet to try little cleo's. I had high expectations since it is apart of the fox restaurant concepts. I made reservations for 5pm. I got there at 5 and was seated on time. The hostess brought water over for my guest and I. She told us our waiter knew we were there and would be with us shortly. At least 25 minutes had gone by and no one had come to ask if we wanted anything besides water or to even check on us. I thought it was absurd that we had waited so long and our waiter hadn't even shown up. I thought I would give it 5 more minutes because I was very excited to try out the restaurant. Still, nobody had acknowledge we were there and we basically sat for over half an hour without getting any service besides the water the hostess had brought over. It honestly looked like it was everyone's first day. So, my guest and I went next door to culinary dropout and was seated immediately. Within 3 minutes of being there, we already had placed our order in for drinks and a few appetizers. I am very disappointed with my experience at little cleo's.

Little Cleo's is overrated in my opinion. I paid $16.00 for a shrimp Po Boy sandwich. The shrimp were the size of my pinkie finger. My son had fish. He said it was nothing special and for the price of $17.00 not worth it. We both love coleslaw, but unfortunately, it was not good. The coleslaw at Kentucky Fried Chicken is MUCH better!!\nI drove all the way from Sun City West, picked my son up at 19th Avenue and Union Hills, and we made the drive down to Cleo's. A mom & son 'date' that left our taste buds disappointed. \nNo ambiance to speak of; very bare minimum in regards to staging or furnishing. \nI suggest, if you're in the area, try it if you have money to burn. But outside of Phoenix, you may want to reconsider. It's not worth the drive.

I had heard of Little Cleo's before from fellow diners elsewhere, as I basically eat out daily and have restaurant reviews all over town, so I applied this establishment to my list of new eateries for me to try. \n\nThe food was very good, hot, and fresh. I enjoyed my sides of hushpuppies and also the parmesan Brussel sprouts, which were nicely portioned for the price. However, my main entrée, which was the Fish and Chips, was 'very small' for the price point paid. Two 'very sparse' pieces of fish, a few steak fries, and a small scoop of coleslaw did not justify the cost. \n\nI enjoyed a wonderful greeting by the hostess upon arrival, and she was a complete joy to interact with. Once my server finally recognized that I was there, (after 15 minutes of waiting), all went well after the hostess alerted him of my arrival. \n\nAll in all, I would come again, but would perhaps choose a different entrée whose portion size justifies the cost. Fun atmosphere, and the open kitchen concept is interesting to watch if you're sitting at the bar area as I was a solo diner. The lady hostess that was there on Saturday night is a compliment to the establishment. I will most likely be back again to try other menu items.

We attended Little Cleo's for AZ Restaurant Week. The menu seemed to have good selections from their regular menu to able to try a variety of dishes. My husband chose the grilled octopus starter, which was good, but definitely the best either of us have had. I ordered the black kale salad. It was quite tasty... that is one area that Fox always seems to do well. We also ordered a small plate of hush puppies. Now those were AMAZING! For our main course my hubby chose the seafood linguine. He said the noodles were very good, but the sauce was a little lackluster, and not at all what he expected (very tomato). I had the bouillabase... the broth was outstanding and most of the seafood was very good. I did find that the shrimp were quite overcooked though. For deserts we got the buttermilk pie, which again, good but underwhelming. Also the beignets... again, not the best we've ever had. The sauce however that accompanied them was glorious. Definitely not a bad place to eat... everything was good... just not great. In fact, we will probably go back and try a few other dishes, but I don't see myself really craving their food... with the exception of the hush puppies.

The food was absolutely delicious; vegetable sides were fresh, delicately seasoned and we could have made a meal of them alone. The jar of butter and king crab meat with crusty bread chunks were like ambrosia. The shrimp po' boy -- not close to New Orleans -- . \nSeating is 'tight' with not many tables, but lots of counter seating. Definitely recommend a reservation. Parking is valet and BUSY.

The drink service was a bit on the slow side. Oyster selection was very good. The appetizer frog legs were coated too heavy with the sweet hot sauce and tasted like native's honey hot wings. The mussels were fantastic and the summer special was a great value. Ended the dinner with the lemon dessert which was tasty. Overall, good food, good value. A bit on the noisy side so if your looking for romantic, not the place.

My visit a few nights ago was a pleasant experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. The menu seemed heavily weighted towards shellfish -- I would have welcomed a few fish fillet type entrees, or even something like a broiled swordfish steak. For all that, my shrimp cocktail was excellent, as were the mussels in my main dish. My friend was disappointed with his oysters (he got spoiled at Street & Co. in Portland, Maine) , but found his king crab legs to be top notch.

Sadly, Little Cleo's seems to serve some of the same dishes offered at its immediate neighbor Culinary Drop Out and for more money. This applies to the fish and chips and the roasted Brussels sprouts. Both of which were okay, but not up to the hype of a 'legend'. One dish unique to Cleo's menu was the grilled squid which was tasteless and squishy, although the quantity was what one would expect from a small plate item. The two tiny potato rounds served on the small plate were hardly worth the effort. The sweet corn hush puppies were very good. Overall, nothing special in terms of ambiance, menu choice or food quality.

First time at Little Cleo's, chosen as the setting for a rare night out with my love. She's less adventurous and the menu unfamiliar, but was very pleased with her cajun shrimp. I chose the 'Summer Bites' 4 course meal - for only $35 - the star of which tuna, prepared rare. Delicious, as was the remarkably fresh and fruity tasting lemon icebox pie. Amazing meal, vibrant, bright atmosphere and cheery, staff, dressed neatly in a preppy 50's theme. Complimentary, and speedy, valet ( at The Yard ) saved us a walk in the summer heat. Strongly recommend.

For a fixed price of $45pp, I think the server could have made some gesture to make sure I was happy.

Hard-to-find spot tucked in a small space at the back of The Yard. Our server was very helpful with our questions about the menu, including recommending wine for my wife and oysters. We got six Chef's Creek oysters, crispy frog legs, and clam chowder to share. All very good, but the frog legs were transcendent. Perfect flavor and texture. For mains, I got the lobster roll and my wife got mussels with squid ink pasta. Mine was just a perfect version of a classic. I liked my wife's pasta more than she did; she said it was good, but I think the squid ink flavor bumped her a little. Overall, I can't wait to go back.

It was our first time at the restaurant and the service definitely will bring us back. The service was incredible. Everyone was friendly, fast, clear about the restaurant. One of our dishes was taking quite awhile, and the manager came out personally with champagne to apologize and gave me his business card to make sure we could follow up with him if we needed anything. \n\nThe food was good, but not great. We got the restaurant week dinner. I ordered the poached shrimp, the frog legs, the mussels with squid ink pasta, and a chocolate tart dessert.\n\nThe poached shrimp was not clean. Both of my pieces were sandy and my wife had the poop on one of her shrimp still. It was gross that she had to clean that off.\n\nThe frog legs were cooked well and had a good flavor. I feel that the texture and flavor profile that was used completely hid the taste of the meat itself. It was delicious, but it could've been a chicken wing and I'd have never known the difference.\n\nMy wife ordered the grilled octopus. The flavor combinations were excellent... serrano, crispy masa, etc. Many of the pieces of octopus were raw inside unfortunately. She didn't finish the dish.\n\nNext course for me was the mussels with squid ink pasta. Individually, each component had a great flavor. The mussels were cooked perfectly - not rubbery or overcooked at all. The squid ink pasta had a great flavor, however it was not cooked consistently. It was mostly overcooked, breaking apart easily. There were many clumps of the pasta stuck together, which made the dish somewhat difficult to eat. The sauce was delicious, but the spices overpowered the flavor of the pasta and the mussels. A lighter sauce would have been much more appropriate to bring out the flavors of the ingredients. I love spice, but it definitely masked the dish.\n\nThe dessert was incredible, hands down the best dish. Dulce de leche ice cream on top of a chocolate banana tart. I will go back just to experience that again!!

For fresh seafood in Phoenix, Little Cleo's is a quaint, charming restaurant tucked away among the other restaurants at The Yard. They have great absinthe cocktails, some good wines, Americana feel/style, and a great menu that offers fresh seafood. We had their Fresh Seafood platter for our appetizer and shared the lobster roll and squid ink pasta with mussels and topped off with their banana and chocolate torte desert. All dishes were very good. The seafood tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Coming to their restaurant reminds me a little like being in a quaint seafood restaurant in San Francisco. If you want to start your night with oysters and cocktail shrimp, they offer happy hour with sparkling wine, absinthe cocktails along with oyster and shrimp on their happy hour menu. If you're looking for a fun night, they have ping pong tables and other games you can enjoy at The Yard after or before dinner and other neighboring bars to hop around to.

Not too bad, but nothing that I haven't had better elsewhere. What was good- kale salad, oysters (a little pricey at $3.50/oyster though), and frog legs. What was Not good- the grilled octopus. I was expecting a thick, tender tentacle steak like I usually get elsewhere. This was baby octopus with the head still on, and it was very tough, rubbery, fishy tasting, and totally bland. I can't believe it was offered on the menu. What was so-so- the seafood stew (spicy but not that much flavor otherwise, no pasta with it), the warm crab in butter (just crab soaked in butter). Portion sizes were small. The banoffee dessert was decent but it was a tiny sliver, not enough to share and had no presentation. Just a small pie on a plate; no sauce or garnishes. Atmosphere was loud and chilly. It was nice to try a new restaurant, but nothing here to keep me coming back.

Then we ordered a fish and chips which was mostly batter and not very tasty. Then we ordered a shrimp po boy. It was supposed to have a remoulade sauce on it. It was a few shrimp (which were tasty) and almost no sauce whatsoever. It was dry and boring. Then we ordered the apple cobbler which we returned..it was that bad. My wife is a great fan of all the flavored bubbly drinks. I had some oysters that were from NY called fatties. I am from the east coast and I know my oysters and these were some of the best e ever had. I also got the clam chowder which was OK but def not the traditional Chowder. Dinner was delicious but the service was awful. Aside from not being sat for almost 30 minutes after our reservation, our waiter took absolutely forever to attend to us. Our drinks were empty multiple times for more than 10 minutes before our waiter came by our table and we had to point out what we needed, we weren't asked if we needed anything. Whenever we asked for extra sauce or silverware etc., what came to the table wasn't what we asked for if it all. Considering how small the restaurant is, we were all shocked at how painfully long the oysters (that were left) took to arrive as well as the drinks when we sat right by the bar.... Ambiance isn't the greatest, one of our friends mentioned it felt 'sterile' and another said 'like an institution'. The dinner was absolutely delicious when it finally arrived, however it's a menu you can find elsewhere, the underwhelm of everything else, all 6 of us agreed we wouldn't return again and we were all very disappointed. First FOX place I've been to I didn't enjoy at all. The staff was all very nice just extremely slow and unattentive.

If you enjoy oysters, then Little Cleo's is the place. I don't know of any comparable selection of fresh oysters in PHX.\nFun drink menu, with an eclectic vibe.\nThe menu has a good selection of very tasty staples, such as the shrimp Po Boy, and the garlic toast is addicting.\nbut as my title would suggest, I go for the oysters.

The food here is decent seafood, not the best, but better than average. The main reason we come here is for the good selection of fresh oysters. The problem with this place is it is run by a bunch of inexperienced kids. Every time we come in, it is a chore for them to seat us. They look at you with a confused expression, like they don't know why you are here. It took them ten minutes to seat us, even though we were looking at several open tables, and the one closest to us, was where we ended up sitting at, which we expected. I don't know why it takes them so long to seat you, they seem to need to have a conference on where to seat people when customers arrive. On top of it all I get an email from Open Table the next day saying I didn't honor my reservation. So if you like seafood and the circus, there are plenty of clowns here!

Little Cleo's isn't your typical seafood restaurant, but for seafood lovers, it's a must. The staff is fantastic -- a couple of the waiters recognize me every time I show up, even though I only go there one a month or every other month. (I'd go more often if I lived closer.) The food is primo -- the boulliabaise is a must and the crab-in-a-jar appetizer is a great option as well -- and the price is entirely reasonable given the upper-level quality of the food. It's not the quietest restaurant in town, so don't go there planning on eating in silence... and there's often a wait for valet parking... but it's definitely a good spot to take your spouse, date or friends.

The food was excellent. We were there for AZ restaaurant week. Unfortunately our 715 reservation did not get us our table Until 745. We were offered champagne for our patience. The oysters were delicious and fresh. I enjoyed the mignonette they served with oysters. Kale salad dressed well and included bacon and smoked Gouda. I had hoped to try the octopus, but it was 86'd by the time we sat down. The squid ink linguine with mussels had such a great spice and flavor. Very fresh. My companions thought the bouillabaisse was excellent. And we all finished with the beignets with whiskey caramel sauce. Very satisfying and delicious. In general I have been unimpressed with the food at most of the Fox restaurants, so this was a surprising experience..

Little Cleo's went above and beyond my expectations for restaurant week. Some restaurants serve less than quality food, but not here. Just the amuse was 3 oysters and 3 jumbo shrimp! The frogs legs were amazing and served over a slaw that was a great texture addition to the legs. The bouillabaisse was EVERYTHING. With a variety of seafood, there's usually something that gets a little overdone or underdone, but it was spectacular. Every piece of that dish was perfect. When the dessert, I had pie, was wonderful. If I had one concern, it would be that they ran out of some selections, the tuna entree and the beignets for dessert. I understand why - it was the first night of restaurant week and they didn't know what people were going to order. I'm sure it didn't happen again. But really - I'm planning many trips here in the future!!!!

This was a great find. It is a basic, no linen & no white glove, restaurant. The service and product were excellent. Laura, our server, was extremely attentive and joyful. We started with a couple of appetizers with the grilled mixed wild mushrooms and some oysters stimulating our taste buds for our main entree meal. We had both the Ahi Tuna and the Loup De Mer with a side of their Garlic Parmesean Cheese fries. Both main meals were cooked to perfection. Both the presentation, on plate sides, sauces, and taste were outstanding. It would rival any high end, fine dining restaurant. The wine list was a bit short on choice. For desert we shared the benets with warm caramel sauce (save room as it was worth the calories). Surrounding the restaurant were other bar type restaurants outdoors which made it a bit noisy. I would highly recommend a journey to Little Cleos. We will be returning to try their other appetizers and entrees.

Bowl of chowder for Nine Dollars is nuts! It was more like a cup - The ambiance was very high tech industrial. Food was average with a high cost relative to the amount served - No bread & butter served Water with no ice - I would not believe all the reviews which spoke of high praise for little Cleo's - The only cool feel was the yard where it is located - I would pass on this oyster seafood establishment......

Little Cleo's offers a divine experience with masterful cooking utilizing wonderful flavors. The only thing better than the fresh tasting food is the exceptional service. At Little Cleo's you literally get what you pay for and your money is very well spent. This was my third meeting at my favorite restaurant in Phoenix and it just gets better and better. However, I have yet to successfully try the lobster roill. Why you ask? By the time I arrive for my reservation, it is SOLD OUT! Perhaps they could keep a few more ingredients stocked so I could get my paws on one of these. Thanks to all the Chefs, waiters, waitresses and MGMT for making my 3rd dining experience at Little Cleos another one I will never forget.

This is a nice limited menu fish restaurant that boasts a number of excellent sides; it serves several kinds of oysters. Service is good,; the ambience is that of a New Orleans fish house in the 1940s and the wait staff is appropriately dressed. Because it's a small place it gets noisy as it fills, so if conversation is important go early before the crowd.

We have never had an issue with the food here, but the people who greet you when you first walk in are another story. We arrived at 6:15 for a 6:30 reservation and there was no one at the door. Then after a few minutes someone showed up, said sorry for the wait and proceeded to seat us on the patio. Patio dining in the valley is very nice most of the year, but we had just driven through 4 downpours on our way here and had no intentions of sitting in an uncovered patio. I asked to be seated inside and the hostess said that those tables were for reservations. I said we do have a reservation, and she told me that our reservation was for the patio. I told her I did not request the patio, and she told me that all reservations are for the patio unless otherwise specified. That is just an outright lie! We have been here several times before and were always seated inside. Also, the place was not even half full when we arrived, and there were at least a dozen empty tables. We ended up sitting at the bar, and throughout our entire dinner there were empty tables available up to the time we walked pout the door. \n\nFirst of all, 90% of the seating here is inside, they have a very small patio. You would not have your 'default' reservation be the patio, it would be the inside. I have never heard of a restaurant forcing you to request an 'inside' table in my life. Also, no where during the reservation process does it say you must request your seating preference. Once you get a confirmation, it says: 'Little Cleo's offers both patio and indoor seating. Please contact the restaurant directly if you have a preference.'\n\nFood is good but very pricey. $40 for a dozen oysters, $38 bottle of wine, $21 for (1) bottle of beer (yes one!) $25 for a Lobster roll that was the smallest I've ever seen. It may of had 3 ounces of lobster meat at the most. Our total bill with tip was $175 for 2 people. We won't have an issue with our next reservation, because it will be somewhere else.

Those little hush puppies are to die for. But the calimari was tough...not my fav. Chocolate ice cream and coffee were perfect. They were out of the vine capsule wine we asked for, so we chose something else. Then our waiter brought us both a glass of champagne to make up for that...nice touch!!

We tried LC's for the first time during their Easter brunch. I was absolutely blown away. Everything from the decor and layout to the servers had a vintage feel. The food was not your typical brunch buffet fare. They put bits of bagel in the scrambled eggs! The fresh shellfish bar had something for every taste- from shrimp and smoked salmon to oysters and snow crab legs. The service was top notch, attentive without being cloying. It was also nice to go to a holiday brunch as a couple and have it be more of an adult experience. We can't wait to go back to try their usual dinner menu.

The chef accommodated a special request and the food came out perfect. We ordered some specialty drinks and the bouillabaisse which was made perfectly and filled with fresh seafood. I was disappointed in the crab legs with butter in the mason jar. It used to be filled with large crab legs and they are small pieces even though they were just as delicious. I regret I was too full for dessert because I love the beignets they serve. Oysters are fresh and delicious, mussels, sea scallops, and shrimp are large, and they were cooked just right.

The last time we ate here we loved the food, had great service and couldn't wait to come back for the crab-in-a-jar appetizer. However, the Valentine pre fixe dinner last Sat night was very disappointing, and the atmosphere was not romantic at all. It was so loud and busy, we could barely have a conversation--the tables were jammed too close together, so there was no privacy and we didn't want to yell at each other above the crowd. We will try it again with the regular menu and less active night. I do want to mention that we got great service, and the manager was very understanding of our issues with the meal. We will definitely come back and see how it goes.

He loved his meal, his wife, a little more on the cautious side enjoyed her meal, and even got a little experimental herself.\n\nIf you've never been here, and you don't know what to try, it's hard to go wrong with anything, but I have a hard time not making the (sp?) boulliabaise my go-to meal. If you've never had frog-legs, and are even the tiniest bit curious, you MUST try them. If you love chicken-wings, you will love these. The Mediterranean Sea Bass was a real crowd pleaser! Grilled and Seasoned to perfection! A generous champagne toast accompanied the meal along with a sorbet palette cleanser! Our only (on going) request to the Management is that you offer Espresso-Cappuccino-Coffee drinks! How lovely it would be to wash down the Carmel Dipped Beignets with a hand crafted Cappuccino! This place is great for seafood. It does have a bit of an odor as the dining tables are situated around a kitchen that is completely open in full view. As a result there is a bit of a 'fish' odor. The shellfish are great! The service is excellent. Because its attached to the 'Yard' its a bit noisy, and sometimes a live band is playing just outside which you can hear. Don't go if you want a quiet ambiance for romantic conversation. LOL! They can open the walls, with are garage doors, when weather permits which would probably eliminate the odor but increase the noise level. This is a place that I visit occasionally because the food and service DEFINITELY off-set the noise and smell. LOL. This is a great place if you love seafood. Oh, and try the frog legs. Just don't expect what you'd find in Boston or San Francisco, and you'll have a nice meal.
