Swimming pool The quality of cooking restaurant
It's a perfect place to stay in Phuket for families with young children. Although they had seven swimmin pools, they are all the same. Each pool should cater to different groups of ppl.. perhaps some waterslides or "gadgets" in the pool for the children to play with?
We had stayed at a Sunwing before and knew what to expect, and were thrilled that we practically had the whole place to ourselves as it was low season. The Thai staff could be a tiny bit better in English but were very friendly and tried very hard.
Excellent Beach side rooms overlooking the sea with very good facilities, breakfast was excellent. A few restaurants inside the hotel serve a variety of good cusine. The minimart inside the premises gives the option to buy everyday essentials at reasonable prices. Seem to specifically cater the Scandanavian tourist and all activities are focussed for guests from this region.
Very modern, clean and comfortable. The seven swimming pools were a hit with the kids. Most kids activities are specifically catered to Scandinavians.
Royal family: Good standard room with big tv, fridge, micro wave, crockery and cutlery, baby cot, baby trolly. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Massage at good prices. Staff very good. Excellent for children that can manage on their own. Ok work out facilities. Very good childrens club and staff. The "dux" matress isn't that good. Royal family rooms are in the shadow all day. Too load entertainment for childrens ears and if you would like to relax anywhere in the premesis. Full prices are too expencive (we payed appr. Eur 1000/week in Dec 2009)
Very nice resort Good food Great pool Kids had lots of fun Great staff Food required an additional cost which was quite high hotel is a bit far from the main attractions in the Island
Stayed here on a business trip. Clean, quiet, and excellent service. The staff was very friendly. Because of its secluded location, the hotel was quiet. It was a short taxi ride to Patong and ~45 minutes to the airport. The pool is large and will keep the kids busy. The breakfast buffet has fresh fruit, juices, and plenty of made-to-order choices. The hotel has a security at the entrance of their driveway -- 24 hours. Did I mention the staff was very friendly?
Situated on the far end of the Kamala Beach, the hotel as a virtually exclusive part of the beach. It's a 10-15 minute walk to any beach amenities like fruit shakes, massages etc., but that also means that pretty much only hotel guests use it, so it's quite clean and quiet. The sea is clean. Far from the transparent turquoise of the islands, though, but there's zero trash on the beach or in the water. Breakfasts are great. Enough variety, and everything is delicious. Pretty much western selection of foods for breakfast. Different tropical fruit smoothies every day. The slightly secluded spot is cool, but there's an obvious downside – you have to walk 15-25 minutes to Kamala town buy anything. You have to walk through the beach, too, so any nice footwear stays in your room and you get about in rubber slippers. It is technically possible to walk on the road, but highly inadvisable, especially in the dark. There are many rocks in the water near the shore, and they are unpleasantly sharp. The water is not clear enough to spot them well. There's a construction site right next to the hotel. Windows in the D building open straight to the site. The view is not pretty, and it's noisy at times. It will definitely go on for a while, as there're just digging right now.
This hotel has expanded significantly since I stayed in the early 2000's; it now appears to be a combination of Sunwing/Best Western and is a sprawling complex of ugly buildings with a very impersonal and perfunctory staff who you never see unless in reception which is the opposite end of the beach/sea entrance! Does not have the charm it used to and I would not likely stay there again. Its impersonal and perfunctory culture and the taxi fare to the airport 600bht which is in contrast to the airport controlled taxi to Kata Beach 750bht for a journey almost twice as long!
I like the most the location of the place, the swimming pools and the access to the beach.....fantastic They are a good restaurants in the rsort and a ;ot of charming restaurant on the beach.....all the needed shops are very closed I warmly recommend this place
i stay 1 night then i chaged fast very bad location
Near the beach ,and in very nice erea the hotel over price for Booking.com,when I asked the people staying next rooms ,one from germany told me the price which is less by 30%than the price I got from booking .com and he got it from travel agency in his country, the same thing siad to me on man from England.the hotel charge for every service , like _ ice, shuttle etc.
Excellent hotel, staff were excellent, location is nice with good beach and restaurants. Good to hire a scooter so you can at out of the resort easily. Sound proofing between rooms was not so good.
beach side so many insects and lizards in and around the hotel
Good location (Kamala beach) and nice swimming pool
the staff was very helpful. They offered many tips abt getting around and where to go. The size of the apt was perfect. Dinner menu was great. They need to install a microwave in the kitchen. Also, breakfast starts a little late so if you are early birds like us, you either have to go out for breakfast or wait till abt 8:30. The selection for breakfast was decent but could be better
Big bungalow and nice garden
Rooms were spacious, well decorated and clean. Location not far to beach and Kamala center and Patong. Breakfast was nothing special They charged us 300 baths for a soap dish, which has never been into bathroom. But we had to pay it even if we claim about that. In addition they wanted charge us 3% more because we paid with credit card but we strongly refused so they accepted.
