This is my third stay at the Hotel Tritone. It is remote, at least from the U.S., so I wouldn't return if I didn't totally love it. It is a perfect gem of a hotel. The owner, Sg. Filippo, is always on the premises and always has a personal greeting for his guests. I expect to return to this Hotel many times in the future. It is my favorite destination. And the town of Lipari is wonderful.
The hotel provided a shuttle service free of charge. There was a lovely man waiting for us when we got off the hydrofoil, which made the travel a lot less stressful. All of the staff were fantastic and made our stay a very pleasant one. We would love to return to Lipari one day and would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff.
Spacious room, pool area, free transfer to port (hotel is a 10-15 walk away) Due to a wedding, pool was unavailable on day of arrival, and it was not possible to sleep until 2 a.m.; we asked for a discount, but the director was rude and didn't even listen. Breakfast buffet offers quantity, but not quality. All in all, the hotel offers 5*-quality only in terms of rooms and pool area, but not regarding food and customer service.
The quiet location. comfortable rooms. There was a conference at the hotel with a lot of people. This made it a bit uncomfortable to use to pool area during the day.
It's a lovely hotel and has a nice pool. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The free internet was easy to use, in the lounge area of the hotel. The roof gardens were also very pleasant.
The friendlyness of the staff and the facilities, for example the fantastically clean and warm swimming pool, the jacuzzi on the roof and the sun beds. Location was great aswell.
The hotel is one of Lipari's best. Its location is 5 minutes to the main street. There is internet but it didn't work for us in the room (with cable) we needed to go to the reception hall. I wish more ppl knew english, ask for Alicia (if I recall well). You can see that there is not a lot of staff and thus the service is fair but not good; for example I remember us taking the luggage to the room even on arrival. But they had a shuttle to the port which was very convenient.
Staff, room and swimming pool
Extremely friendly staff, very helpful and acomodating. A bautiful Hotel, highly recommend it!!! Great location also! Could have better breakfast, more variety and fresh bread.
Best speaking Italian ever met within this hotel staff - Ms Melissa; cleanliness - they changed the towels even twice a day; serenity of the surroundings - a residential area not assaulted by tourists; good taste implicit in everything ... Overall great. No garden available - we did not check though the "terrace garden" and they recommended a tourist office offering trips which did not prove to be serious, this should really be taken care of and I think they already did due to our complaint.
Trully friendly manager and receptionists. Courtesy van brough us from the port to the hotel and back. Luggage brought to the room and all facilities pointed out to us. Superb room and services. Tasteful decoration and real comfort. Located in a nice and quiet street besides another hotel and a fantastic restaurant. Just 4 or 5 minutes walk from Marina Corta and Corso Vittorio Emanuele Staff serving breakfast: Nothing reprovable but not as friendly as the rest of the staff.
English speaking Staff very helpful- Nice breakfast.
We picked this hotel at the last minute upon arriving on Lipari. It is a ways from town and had to pay 30 Euros to get to it. I would say it was worth it. Very friendly staff. And the room had a kitchenette. Free breakfast at a restaurant a couple doors down. Overall, we were happy with our stay. Nothing but we only planned a one night stay.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, their level of english was very good whch made our stay that bit more enjoyable. none
Very clean and welcoming Hotel with good facilities. Nothing
excellent hotel. very close to everything and staff could not be more helpful no
Beautiful hotel. The room was very nice and the pool is really really good! The staff were really friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Gorgeous setting, immaculately clean and within minutes of our arrival, the staff made us feel like family. Our host went above and beyond to show us his beautiful island. Even taking us around himself when we got lost. It was the highlight of the vacation and I can't wait to return next year.
Nice quiet hotel with fantastic service - and great location the rooms are maybe a little small - but very nice anyway
Its location. Very quiet. Its few number of rooms makes the hotel friendly and accessible and like if you were at home.
Showers are definitely too small
Hotel was situated on a hill overlooking the sea. The pool area and room terrace was very dusty with mould on the sun loungers.
Very helpful and friendly people, they help you to organize all you want to do. Very nice pool with a fantastic view.
Beautiful pool and location on coast. Great view from restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Single room was ok - a bit small, but had all the necessities.
A great view of the sea, the place is a little far from the center, but very calm and quiet. Very happy to stay there.
We liked the sea view from our balcony and from the hotel in general, the swimming pool is wonderful and saltwater and you can swim off the rocks into the sea. The hotel ambience and terrace is good and the room we had (a superior) was comfortable although I am not sure what made it superior except for the whirlpool bath, rather overpiced but still very enjoyable. The hotel reception staff were not at all friendly and somewhat sour and there did not seem to be a shuttle bus to the town (which I would have expected from a hotel in this location and category) the walk can be an exhausting 15 minute walk up over a hill in the heat of the day and taxis are expensive.
The magnificent view of the Lipari island, the beautiful weather, the blue and clean sea and the quiet environment The equipment of the hotel must be renewed expecially beds and showers. The floor surrounding the pool needs more cleanliness. No animation is provided, a disco is advertised but it is not present.
Has a great location if you go summer time, with your family. Has its own seaside and marvellous sea. Pool from sea water. There is a free shuttle service to town center. We enjoyed the hotel in general. Common places seems a bit out dates, needs renovation. It could be good if hotel restaurants upgrades food quality.
It was a beautiful location, stunning views. Good and helpful staff. Room could have been cleaner. Tile floors were always gritty
it was nice
the pool is salt water and the location on the cliff is superb for relaxation it's quite a walk up and down hills to get into town. The staff are not all very nice. The front desk crew tried to inflate my price. I don't know if this was deliberate or they were just rubbish at maths.
convenient location & breakfast!
The hotel was right by the port, it offered a decent selection for breakfast, and had helpful staff. The hotel charged for itnernet usage, I couldn't figure out the air conditioner in my room, the shower had no base, and the gym wasn't really a gym
Hotel appears to think it is grand in some way but really is rather shabby. Very expensive for what it is and when they charge you 5 euros extra per day to turn the air conditioning on in August you kind of know what kind of place it is.
Good location, nice lobby, good breakfast, clean bathroom was too small, toilette and shower was in the same place
The close proximity of the hotel to the city area of Lipari was fantastic. The hotel offered value for money, was very clean and has a loverly ambiance. The rooms were airconditioned, had generous sized bathrooms. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers and would again stay there myself without any reservations. no it was exactly what we were looking for.
Very good location. Ok breakfast. Arrogant and rude male receptionist. Very small room, not worth the price. Air conditioning cost extra.
Very convenient situation, especially for the ferry terminal. Godd breakfast served until quite late for those who don't like to get up early on holiday.
A traditional and calm hotel with character. Spacious rooms and terraces. Breakfast was adequate. We were end of season and our options dimished daily.
the location the staff were rude and unfriendly. we had one bad experience with the manager where he was abusive towards us.
The Hotel is clean and the building is really new. It is close to the beach, few bars around where is possible to have lunch and dinner. The personnel is lovely. With the buses you can easily reach Lipari town. Beautiful sea.Breakfast is ok. None
It´s a newly built hotel so all the interior is really stylish and nice. The view from our balcony was amazing. We had an amazing balcony but we only had two chairs and no table -which would have been nice. The mini bar did not work unless your room key card was in the key card holder in the room, which meant that our drinks were never really cold and since nobody had stayed in the room a while before we came, the fridge was completely warm.
The hotel room was very nice. I didn't like the small tv. I didn't like that hotel workers didn't allow personally guest to come visit you inside your room. If i am paying $200+ euros a night for a room. i should be able to bring anyone that i want in my room. I am not a child. I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for that fact.
The staff were very helpful where possible. They even delivered a lost valuable to us at our next hotel which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is a couple of hundred metres walk to the beach and has great views out to Stromboli. The balcony furniture was two plastic chairs. Some slightly better quality furniture and a table would have greatly enhanced our enjoyment and use of our room's balcony.
The hotel is very new and looks like the photos on their website. Stunning views of Cannetto and the islands. Close to cafes and beach. No i was avery positive experience.
The staff and their service was exceptional. So was the cuisine. Do ask for their homemade Cannoli and the Malvasia from Salina to complement it! The three chefs are in the same class as the three tenors. The food was extraordinary, they recommended some excellent local wines and they even catered personally for the vegetarians in our party. They picked us up at the harbour and dropped us off at 630 am for our return trip at no extra charge. We look forward to spending a longer holiday there on our next visit!
Swimming pool Dinner - little choice of menu
Very nice pool and garden area, the room was large and comfortable. Staff was rather inept. Whatever you asked for - they had to call the director. They were not able to help with the transport to Catania airport (you need to take the ferry from Lipari to Milazzo, then a bus).
Margarita on reception provided excellent customer service, calling our previous hotel to locate an item left behind there and also proactively arranging an excursion for us based on very limited (and somewhat inaccurate) information we provided. The restaurant staff were charming as well. The hotel could consider extending breakfast until 10.30. I noticed a number of people still eating when everything was cleared away promptly at 10.00.
Beatiful place, nice staff, great breakfast
The rooms were large and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. Restaurant staff was cold and unfriendly. Food was average nothing exceptional. We sent back an entree which was not to our liking and ordered a replacement entree and were charged for both.
nice and friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms we booked half-board. the menu was a bit repetitive, but food in general ok.
Overall, the hotel stay was great. The room, facilities, grounds, etc were very clean. The environment was peaceful, and if we ever make it back to Lipari, this is where we will stay.
everything, location, staff, room, breakfast, the pool
The pool is magnificent and the room with the balcony is pretty and welcoming..Loved the double doors out to the balcony. A dog was constantly barking and we had to keep our door closed..Construction in the area, but when not there this must be a very quiet luxury hotel.
Wonderful place. The building is so charming (you really feel as being in a small sea village!), new, clean, everything! Our room was big, perfectly clean, with a wonderful terrace from where we could see the harbour and the village! Very nice staff, they can help you virtually on everything. No pool (I know, the sea is better, but given the small amount of beaches in Lipari...). Breakfast could be a bit more varied.
Good, quiet location overlooking Lipari. Although the hotel is a little way from the center of the town, shuttle bus service is provided..
The staff were very freindly and cooperative, and had the information we wanted about tours, ferrys etc. The rooms were good, but did not have the promised views. Not the sea on one room, and the "garden view", side, didnt have any garden.
The breakfast was lovely, there was plenty on offer and they served til 10am. It was also in a very good position to the main corso but far enough away to not to be in the main hub of noise all night. The bed was very comfortable too which is always good news. The decor could be updated - the room was a good size but was quite dark. The only other thing was when they cleaned the room each morning, they always left the inside door open. (I can't understand why)
A gently staff, good breakfast, although made only for us. Many thanks. The price could be lower in this really not high season as there is no tourists at the islands at all. To put some carpets on the floor of rooms would be a good idea while in the bathroom it is quite necessary.
Friendly, helpfull staff. Away from the town centre, yet within 5 minutes walk. Comfortable and clean rooms. Card machine did not work, and I had to get cash from the cash machine in town centre - to pay for the room.
Lovely quiet area. Own apartment-type room with private terrace area. Room clean and everything in good condition. 5 to 10 minutes walk to the main street and harbours. Local shops provide everything you'll need. Generous continental breakfast included. Bella zona tranquilla. Proprio appartamento tipo camera con terrazza privata zona. Quite a few irritations because of higher expectations for the price: Rules posted everywhere which didn't make us feel like welcome guests. For example, we were instructed (in red and underlined) to take all our rubbish every day to the bins out on the road, and threatened with excess charges for cleaning the kitchen area. Why should we do our own cleaning and rubbish removal?
Loved this hotel. All staff were very friendly (make sure to call as you arrive at the port to be collected) and the room was terrific (booked a suite). Big room, right on the water, with a huge comfortable bed. Apart from breakfast, didnt try dining, although we were told there was a 15euro 3 course menu for booking.com users. Lipari port is only a short, but hot, walk away. Overall, would highly recommend. Hotel breakfast was a let down with just the regular pastries and cereals and tinned fruits. Given the abundance of fresh and flavourful fruit in the region, this was disappointing. Also, a fair amount of competition for the loungers on the sun deck, so be quick!
We had room 101 the view & size of the room was fantastic we would stay here again. There was a problem with the internet they did allow us to use the office computer but it would have been good to have it in our room.
I love that you can lie out and then climb down a ladder to go right into the ocean.
Great value for the money.Nice pool, helpful staff.Great location.
The hotel is attached to the sea, close to the mains streets and it has a swimming pool with a great sea view.
The free shuttle to the harbour, the free pool towels every day. Best was the rooms in top floor looking landside...as we are no early risers. The breakfast selection could be wider...
The situation and room in the hotel were excelent along with most of the service.. Handed in laundry on the day we arrived and had to ask for it as we were leaving that day, when we did receive it back some of the items were still wet, this was after three days. Also the ambience of the hotel was spoiled by the arrival of a class of about 50 school children who were continually running in the hallways and screaming. When we arrived it was very warm with days up to 30 deg. but there was no air conditioning, when I asked they told me they turned it off at the end of September and turned it back on in July, thats great if the weather is cool.
Attractive hotel in a fantastic location, near the centre of Lipari but also right on the sea with lovely views. The rooms were clean, the pool area and grounds well maintained and the staff pleasant. Nothing major, but would have preferred a stronger shower and fresh fruit as part of breakfast.
