The corner room is great. The room size is decent-to-big. The TV is the biggest we've had in a hotel room within Europe. The bathroom floor has the option to be heated and the bathroom liquid soap and shampoo are from Azzarro (sp?). They smelled so very good!!! The hotel provides a delicious, full breakfast with two free coffee/cocoa/cappuccino makers for guests and are available 24 hours a day. The bar is open 24 hours a day but the hotel's front-desk employees will need to clear their area to tend bar. The hotel is literally across the street from the Krakow Glowny (main train station). The wifi signal was good/strong as the signal never went away. All-in-all a great place to stay and I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Krakow. I'll stay at other Puro hotels in Poland, given the opportunity. Only issue is with the lack of early check-in. It was bad timing that they had been sold out the day before our scheduled check-in date. We caught an early train and arrived at the hotel at 7am on our check-in date. Unfortunately, because check-in time is 3pm and the hotel had been fully booked the night before, there weren't any available rooms as check-out time is noon. We needed to shower before our 11:30am tour pick-up but our room wasn't ready until 12:45pm and we were already in our tour. The front desk lady tried to help but it was out of her control.
Very modern, good location, good customer service From time to time device for room control had to be restarted. Internet, in the room we stood, was slow.
Excellent hotel from top to bottom, I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Krakow. Great location, just outside the old-town ring. Easy walk to many areas and attractions. Supermarket just down the street, too. Wonderful staff as well. I was disappointed that the in-room wifi was not free, but sadly, that seems to be more and more common.
Walking distance to most sites. Very good variety of food/eateries within the hotel. Small but nice swimming pool. No hot tub; rather hefty charge for late check-out
A very spacious and light ambiance
the staff were absolutly wonderful, really friendly and helpful. they recommended a thai resturant for us and it was great. the hotel was immcaulate and the rooms were cleaned everyday to a very high standard. would definately stay here again the hotel food was too expensive because we had brought our one yr old son and it would have been too extravagant for his taste, also the resturant beside the hotel called someplace else was digusting.
Early closing time of bar. This is supposed to be upmarket
Excellent yet unassuming service from all staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. All needs considered. I was disappointed that there were no slippers in the room this time where on my visit last year there were.
Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Cost of breakfast buffet and room internet.
Everything was outstanding....i will stay here again for sure N/A
location / good buffet breakfast / attractive, efficient courtyard design of hotel facilities
Great location, welcoming staff, and comfortable beds! A+ all around.
It was very pleasant
excellent service, friendly staff, good value for price
We stayed one night in March. We got in several hours before check in time. Not one restaurant in the area was open for breakfast so we decided to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious I would recommend getting it with the room if possible. Since we were desperate to get some sleep we decided to upgrade to a superior room with did not cost very much and we go in right there and then. The room was a good size and very clean. In at the afternoon we got 3 cakes delivered and there was free water in the room. The area is wonderful, right next to a big shopping mall and the translation. Also, walking to anywhere in main Krakow from the hotel is a breeze. The mattress was horrible ! I have never seen or slept on such a thing. Weird choice by the hotel to put that in the rooms. TV did not work but we also did not call to fix it.
Just about everything An additional 'easy-chair' in the bedroom would be welcome.
Andels is a beautiful, newer hotel in a great location near the train and bus stations, big shopping mall, the Planty, and old town – including a pedestrian tunnel to get there! Free internet, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and quiet even though on a main street.
Convenience Confusing when looking for hotel as logo looks as if the name of the hotel is Lande7 (inverted "L") Not a good logo
The location was perfect near the Railway Station and the Old Town. The breakfast had a very good choice.
All staff fantastic. Location great. Ambience great too. Great breakfasts and facilities. NO.
Staff had poor english skills, and were easily confused.
The location, rooms, resturant, breakfast - everything was excellent. This is my second stay at this hotel
nice kind staff.clean room.good breakfast.
Very nice hotel - modern and sleek design. Situated conveniently amongst all the major sightseeing attractions. Great hotel staff - very accommodating and interested to make certain our stay was pleasurable.
location and staff promptness breakfast needs more food options
Great location and staff. Adam ran a great bar and really took care of us. The Courtyard was a very nice touch for morning coffee and evening drinks.
Excellent reception at desk service. Very good english skills for desk service people. I asked for extra coat hangers -got them within 15 minutes. Wake up calls were spot on time wise. WiFi is free. Good signal strength. Hotel is on a quiet dead end side street from a street with a trolley so it is quiet. Superb free breakfast comes with the room. Hotel dining room is a bit better than average. Had really great roasted duck on my wife's birthday. Hotel is built around an inner courtyard. Pleasant place to chat on lounge chairs and sip beer or iced tea. Little kid friendly. Heard lots of quiet toddler chatter. Lots of small shops within two blocks to buy beer, wine, pastries high end deli-like pastries and sandwiches. Easy 10-15 minute walk to center city Krakow. Easy to get a taxi at the hotel. Lots of cafe like small restaurants of different cuisines within four blocks. Hotel locale is not super up scale. Lenin free hostel around the corner, sex shop a block away. My wife and I both in the low 70's had no issues walking around in day time. Lots of working class people, youngsters, moms with infants, elderly on the streets in the day. We did not go out at night although our 44 year old son and friends were out bar visiting until very late and felt quite safe. I think the location is the reason why the Metropolitan is such a good value. If the location were in city central Krakow district the room costs would be much higher. It is a really great hotel value in an acceptable but not particularly upscale area..We would stay there again.
The staff and the concierge were very responsive and helpful.
Excellent standard of accommodation. Ideal location close to city centre (3 mins walk) but not directly in it (therefore away from noise). No
Perfect in many ways. The staff was knowledgeable, the location was fabulous, we were able to walk to most interesting locations & restaurants. Hotel was spotless, food in restaurant was above average. nothing
Location OK, breadfast OK, room OK It took minutes to get hot water while taking shower, while queuing into check-in another desk was opened only for Lufthansa crew and we already in the queue continued waiting (it took long time, lady in the reception was not able to use computer), minibar was not filled up
Localization of the hotel is really good, just couple of minutes walking to the City center as from the Castle. Price of the breakfast is very, very expensive, better take the breakfast outside, at the center you have really nice places much more cheaper.
I specifically asked for a room overlooking the park in Krakow. When i arrived at 12 noon it was not ready. We put in our bags and looked around the city. When i checked in the bags later at 6 in the evening we had to wait until the receptionist rang room service to check whether our requested quite room was ready. It was not ready. It was not a professional service which i would expect.
close to city center WIFI doesnt work (only cable, 20cm, does); no complimentary express-coffee in the morning(others in same city offer it); too expensive bar; one small shampoo bottle for two people for two days (not replaced); old TV under a crystal; this is not a 5 star hotel really. And they tried to charge more than what agreed.
good hotel friendly staff excellent location would reccommend hotel to friends
Very good location, high standard of rooms, would recommed this hotel Rooms were very warm at night, food and drink was quite expensive.
we needed of a small conference room at the spot , they arranged it in 5 minutes
Hotel staff introduced a very nice restaurant near the hotel. Nothing.
Loved our room and spa facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wi Fi in room good. Breakfasts individually cooked, none of the cooked several hours in advance nonsense Looked after us well. Air port shuttle car a good price too. We want to return. Room lighting could have been a bit brighter.
Excellent breakfast. Very friendly hotel, helpful staff No tea making facilities in the room. No real hotel guide, including no tv operation guide.
Lovely hotel altough rooms a little too dark. Love the swiming pool and relaxing areas. Staff, mostly pleasant and helpful Service at the hotel's top floor restaurant could have been a lot better. It took the waiter 15 mins + to realise they didn't have the bottle of wine we have chosen and rather than suggest another bottle of similar price we were offered one over 50% more expensive!! Also no ironing facilities in room
The quiet atmosphere The bar at the 6 floor was closed...
We thought it was very comfortable. Loved the design and the central location Enjoyed spa and pool and the breakfast was very enjoyable. It was really enjoyable to come back to in the evening Overall staff very pleasant and efficient Great value for money There wasnt anything that we didnt like the only thing that concerned us was that when we went to check out the staff member said according to the hotel we had not shown up? couldnt understand this email when we got home and there was a mention that we were considered a no show and we were concerned about charges because of the confusion
The room was truly great very comfortable and quite close to everything we would go back anytime the service was excellent
Then I left some laundry in my room in a black bag and they stole it! Crazy. I ream really nice taylored suits and shirts were just taken from my room. I was very upset. They denied taking anything, but know exactly what I packed and exactly where I put my things. So I left and am never coming back.
Stunning small luxury hotel just off main city square Good spa facilities and very good food and wine selection
The central location and the fact tat the hotel was fairly new and very modern. The bedrooms I feel are very masculine - could do with a little feminine touch - expecially a mirror above the dressing table!
Location was brilliant. You could easily walk to the bus and train stations, old town and Jewish quarter. I asked for a quiet room and got one. But because of the location maybe all the rooms are quiet? Excellent breakfasts. Very expensive. For the price I would have expected a much more spacious room (room was rather cramped) and a stunning view. Our room looked out onto a stone wall. Wonderful freshly squeezed orange juice, cappucinos and eggs done all sorts of different ways were available at breakfast, but you rather had to chase after the staff to get these; they were never offered.
Excellent service and location. Beautifully clean. Bed very uncomfortable as two single beds were pushed together to make a double. Breakfasts mediocre and creme brûlée awful! But duck was excellent!
Great city location. Nice breakfast included. Turn down service. Only one English TV channel (France 24 News) repeating the same stories over two days.
Loevely people generally in Kracow - fabulous architecture - good food - plenty of things to do. Most things were very good value - a bottle of wine was very expensive!
Very refined hotel with character. very close to main square. Parking was only 10m from hotel.Breakfast was excellent in lovely dining area.Staff friendly and helpful. Room a little small. We were not told that building works were ongoing both sides of hotel
Great location close to old town square. construction site next door
nice quite hotel
Very relaxed, friendly hotel, close to central Krakow but in a quiet location
location, great staff
Conveniece of hotel to City. More coffee in the room.
hotel was very clean and efficient. the staff were unobtrusive and maintained a good standard throughout our 4 nights stay.
Location freindley staff lovely bar
location - it is only 3 - 5 minutes walk to the old town and less then 10 min to Kazimierz.
The hotel is located in the city center, so getting around for sightseeing was all done by foot or the occasional tram. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a very spacious low level room with two beds. Overall, very satisfied! Stayed on the 1st floor and for 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend, which also happened to be the same weekend as Advent (Catholic start of Christmas season). The halls were a bit loud, but mainly from the noise of people walking up and down. There were a couple of parties at the hotel but they all finished at a reasonable time.
The staff were very courteous, available and helpful, rooms well equipped, clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast excellent choice. Good value for money. Location good for city centre.
The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean and the breakfasts were very good with a wide choice available every day.
television Set too old to small and no international chanels available only CNN was working during my 3 days of stay
Staff very accomodating . Need to stay in updated room
the rooms were clean and staff very helpfull
Staff could speak english Staff helpful and friendly Blown lightbulb and no milk for coffee dealt with immediately Excellent location to Krakow's tourist spots- all within walking distance and safe area Failed to replenish the soap for handwashing but there was a clean bar of soap- no big deal.
Location, 1 minute walk to the main center square in Krakow. Also a really nice Hotel dating back to 1873, the staff were very friendly and helpful. No
It's an old hotel with huge rooms and high ceilings. The breakfast is fine. The staff was always helpful. The beds were hard and there weren't enough pillows in the room. The top bed spread looks like it was installed 750 years ago when the hotel opened.
This hotel is absolutley fantastic and should be chosen streets ahead of the Novotel, Radisson and Sgeratons as it is full of charm. Fantastic location just minutes from the main square, great staff and beautiful rooms. I will be back for sure.
great location, very pleasant staff, very good breakfast offers 1) We used 3 rooms during our six days stay. All of them were missing proper plug-in spot for shaver in the bathroom 2) Bathroom safety in the first room was poor 3) We ordered tea pot in the room - only in the first room such a utility was provided
very friendly staff,an excellent central but quiet location,
great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable and elegant. if you're in Krakow, you can't beat the location.
Location Hot room, Uncomfortable bed
The services personnel helped switch our room after we realized that there were too many steps to climb to the second level (my knees find going upstairs difficult). Putting us in a room across from the elevator was so wonderful. Thank you so much for this consideration. Too, the room was comfortable and elegant. The buffet breakfast was amazing. We so enjoyed your venu and would reccommend it to others. The twin quilts that were on the king size bed under the spread - though this wasn't so uncomfortable as to make us complain.
Large comfortable room (junior suite); good location for sighseeing Shortage of storage space. In a very large room there was only one wardrobe which was too short to hang up a skirt! Only 6 hangers. Small chest which would have been inadequate for a longer stay. Had to clear the tiny dressing table of promotional material to make space for toiletries, brush / conb etc. Small bathroom. Totally inadequate air conditioning. We were given a voucher for a free glass of wine in the Vienna cafe for every day of our stay, however the first time weused it, it was taken from us. Luckily this was our last day and as the Vienna Cafe was totally lacking in the sort of cheerful ambiance (or indeed any sort of ambiance!) we have found in cafes in Vienna, we wouldn't have gone back. Reception staff surly and unhelpful.
good location value for money food could have been better
Room was very nice and comfortable with big bathroom. Location of the hotel is great. Staff is friendly and allowed me a really early check in. A plasma or LCD TV would be better as the old TV's picture was not very good. It was strange that the door was not sound-proofed so you can hear if someone is talking outside or they can hear whats going inside...
The location is excellent. The atmosphere is unique and the quisine is gourmet There is a lot of noise from the street. Double glazing will improve the silence
Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful
Location , cost , staff very helpful. No kettle /tea/coffe etc in room. No english speaking tv channel even for just news.
Clean rooms, brilliant location. Corridors smelt of cat urine, staff not that helpful, breakfast not that nice, building work done early in the morning and late at night.
location was good would be improved if their was a proper lounge/bar area
Central situated and easy to find driving
the staff was very friendly excellant location near the main square and the breakfast was excellant continental or english the room number 59 i was in was extremly noisy the hotel staff woke you up before 7.00 every morning also ther was a searchlight outside my room that went on and off this room is not for a elderly couple
Charming older hotel
easy to access rynek and dworzec. the taxi they called for me was not good.
This hotel is in central position and is excellent location for tourists as all centre features of Krakow are within walking distance.. The accommmodation and breakfasts were excellent and the staff most helpful. no
Bar was mostly shut. No Room Service
The room was clean and I enjoyed having a gym, pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room and just a short walk to the Kazimierz District. Also the tram station is just 2 blocks which you can take to the old square, galleria shopping mall and even to the main bus station then on to Krakow Airport.
We found the restaurant to be excellent. We had two evening meals in the restaurant which were excellent. Also excellent buffet breakfast. Our only complaint was the distance the hotel was from the main square of Krakow.
The hotel facilities - new modern hotel, good breakfast, internet access, quiet location, free boat to Wavel Castle on the hour, free packed lunch if required, helpful staff with relatively good English. Limited dinner menu and airconditioning was unreliable. The magnetic swipe card to access our room kept failing.
I found very helping staff, ready to help and the breakfast was awesome:)
Excellent choice of various types of food for breakfast. Lovely decor in bedrooms, bathrooms and other areas in hotel. Good bar food.
New modern construction with excellent services, superb relax area with fitness and pool with breath-taking view over Cracow
excellent service, staff very helpfull no in room coffee making facilities, lack of choice of english speaking tv channels, no currency exchange facilities
Friendly helpful staff. Poor standard of food in the hotel restaurant. We had an evening meal at the hotel on one night. The food was cold, took a long time between courses and the restaurant was very drafty. We used the hotel pool once, the water was cold.
Very helpful staff very clean hotel, we enjoyed the breakfast plenty to choose for myself and my two teenage sons rooms were very comfortable and kept very clean, overall a lovely hotel to stay in I would recommend it to others The problem when we arrived the door entry system didnt work so we had to call the porter every time we wanted entry to our rooms! this was nobodys fault but having two rooms and my teenage sons were in one of them caused problems , the problem was rectified by the first evening
Staff very friendly and efficient. Food very good especially the breakfast menu.
polite and friendly staff/good selection of food at breakfast buffet. swimming pool could have been a little warmer.
Great design and cofort, and great value for money! No hot water in the mornng, and cold coffee for breakfast, missing something to get full pot,
Excellent service and attentive staff, great installations, including a large bathroom, very clean If anything, I missed a kill paff or similar in the room, as some insects entered due to the country location.
we actually didn't mind the 55 min walk into the centre of Krakow every day, altho you claim it is only a 10 min walk. We liked the value for the excellent 5 star quality & service. There was nothing we disliked about the hotel.
The atmosphere of the hotel is stunning and according to the purpose of history reconstruction and the room was modern, clean and accordingly decorated. Restaurant was also very good value for money. I would definitely recommend your stay.
Atmosphere. Noise in the room and distane from public transport.
Excellent hotel, Very reasonably priced. about 2.5 / 3 miles from centre; taxis cheap, max £5. Would have no hesitation staying there again. Essentially a 5 star hotel, for 2 star price. why? because it is outside of the immediate city centre. Brilliant breakfast.... no need for big lunch.
The staff are very friendly patient and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them,we were very happy with them. The facilities are first class. We would have liked some english language channels on the tv apart from the financial ones. Also the hotel used to have its own minbus for transport into the town centre this has been discontinued and the hotel is a fair way from the centre.
I liked the very friendly staff, nice breakfast and the interior decoration. I did not like that there was no mention that the hotel was situated next to the highway and noisy if the window was open.
Excellent room, nice and clean. Free parking and free internet. If you are coming without car I am not sure how easy will be to see center of the city.
Hotel was excellent. Only distance to the city centre is a minor, but no problem if you go by car.
Great location short walking distance to the main square. Good choice of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff are just about helpfull. Clean and warm. Breakfast overpriced compared to what you could buy locally in restaurants. When you wanted a drink in the bar you always had to go looking for a staff member
Excellent location in the old town, clean rooms. Breakfast might have included more variation..
Cleanliness, Location, edequite funtional furniture, Daily change of towels. Staff, Value for money. The air- conditioner is not self- controlled.
location & cleanliness i am aware that a may/december relationship is not entirely understood and/or accepted in poland. while it didn't seem to affect the treatment we received from the staff, it would have been nice if a couple of them had not commented loud enough to each other for my fiancee to overhear them.
Convenient location and comfort Size and quality of towels could be improved.
Distance from the main square and railway/bus station.
Location is just perfect - 5 minutes from central station and 3 minutes to city square Hotel stuff was polite, but not so willing to help
there were no english speaking channels on the television
Very helpful staff. air conditioning. there was a heat wave and it wasn't the best.
best location for centre very noisey at the week end, mostly from outside, difficult to sleep, also the hotel tried to charge 300zl more, because we had the original quote the amount was changed.
Reach of wireless signal was at my room. Room was at the end of corridor, that is why. But it is simple thing as wireless repeater for comfortable internet access. Connection was bad all the time, and with that speed as well. Going out of room to get a better connection is stupid. So, if that would be fine, I would give 5 stars, with lack of internet only 3.
Great location, walking distance to most everything you'd want to see. Stellar service! Good food. Great comfortable room and great shower! Super happy with this hotel. Loved the regal vibe.
Breakfast very good
My second time staying here and after getting stuck in krakow due to weather conditions the staff were brilliant.
huge room, great location, tasty breakfast, nice stuff too loud and there is no air conditioner
room, original restaurant, stuff big hotel but only few elevators, long way to the room :-)
fabulous spacious room, spotless and very comfortable. wonderful decor and perfect location. i would recommend to anyone.
Perfect location, parking, spacious rooms, good value for money. No mini bar. Needs renovation, but clean.
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Royal. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful - and the staff was very friendly. The location cannot be beat - since it is right next to the royal Castle - and right in the center of the old town. I didn't like the plumbing - the toilet could use some modernization.
Convenient location Room was not fresh - had a tired feel to it. I was on the third floor of a building that was not connected to the main building at the third floor. This meant taking an elevator up one flight, going down long hallways, up a few different flights of stairs, and lots of walking. This was very inconvenient.
Close to central square, when you stay in Royal hotel, which is the old building, you can feel all beutiful of Krakov
The "cheaper" rooms are very poor and situated under the roof next to the housekeeping rooms. It was raining in through the ceiling on the bed!!! The price was an offer - next time I will spend more for a better room.
The location was only 10 mins from the square. Room was comfortable and great value for money. Absolutly no complaints.
We stayed at the Hotel Kossak at the conclusion of a 19 day tour of Poland. We used Kayak and Trip Advisor to research location, price, etc. and we were extremely pleased with our choice. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip, Hotel Kossak was the best! The people at reception were excellent.... especially Monica. The beds had thick, comfortable mattresses and perfectly fluffy pillows. The air conditioning kept the room as cold as we desired. The coffee at the breakfast buffet was delicious.... Not too strong. The in room teapot was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Initially, we ate everything in sight, but eventually we were very grateful for the Greek yogurt option! The rooftop was magnificent and the food up there was spectacular.... It was like a piece of artwork... We almost didn't want to eat it.... Just kept taking pictures of it! Delicious as well! Kudos to the chef! The location across from the river and the castle was perfect to walk to both Old Town and to Kazimierz. We also took a boat ride down the river with the discount coupon we received from Monica. The general store, Jubilat, was only two doors away.... Very convenient for snacks, batteries, alcohol, etc. Next time, we won't pack toiletries.... Easier to buy them at this store. The bus and tram stops were conveniently located a few feet from the hotel. Poland turned out to be a hidden gem, and the Hotel Kossak gave it sparkle! Thanks for a most comfortable and memorable experience! We will be back!
nice, clean and friendly staff I saw the disco that everyone talks about. I can imagine that it can be noisy. I'd recommend staying in the lower floor to avoid the noise
Nice, modern and brand new decor, comfortable rooms, good restaurant, central location, close to Wawel castle
Staff was friendly, good food and all around a nice place to stay. Nothing really that stands out.
Literally everything was good. Not a single point I can complain about. Rooms are great, quiet, clean. Nice TV, free safe, nice beds. Good breakfast as well! Dont forget to order from the free menu on the table! And the view from the roof terrace is fantastic!
Staff in front of house, bar, restaurants and rooms were very friendly. Seating in lobby / foyer very uncomfortable due to modern design so not possible to have a relaxing drink there.
The colour scheme and general design style was good, the location excellent and views from balcony terrace and bedroom were great. Only small things, such as bath was very slippery for shower and lights above the dining area tables were too low and obstructed eye contact with person seated opposite.
The suite was very nice and the staff were helpful. The food at the Percheron restaurant was exceptional. We truly enjoyed our stay and would like to return someday. Lack of a dedicated parking area was a disappointment - one would expect a hotel of this caliber to have dedicated parking for their guests.
it was in krakow on business, but the hotel was great, staff too! o, and great location if you want to see the city the windows don´t open, but staff did it for me ...
This hotel is a month old so in perfect order; a few hundrer metres from Wawel castle overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and all speak English. Were very helpul in arranging axis etc. If you are looking for a busy place to be this is not it - yet. I suspect it will be very popular once more people know about it.
I have only been in one hotel in Krakow, but Kossak has the best value for money. A view on the wawel hill, wonderfull breakfast buffet, with pancakes and omelets to order and helpfull staff. If there would a hotel kossak in more cities i would get a frequent visitor card.
