Proximity to town and airport Smoking by guests in rooms even though hotel had a non smoking policy
Very modern facility. Great decor. They were almost closed for the season
Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the premises were generally well-kept. The cleanliness and facilities were adequate, but not outstanding and they were no justification for the hotel's high rates.
The position of the hotel was extremely convenient and the rooms were well insulated against noise. Our room had a lovely sea view and a balcony. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It is excellent value for money.
Location was excellent very central and outstanding views from the balcony. Breakfast was average.there was no fresh milk and attendance was poor.
The location is exellent. Room is very clean and comfortable. Staff, specially at the reception was very kind and helpfull.
Warm welcome at 10 pm after long flights-harbour view as requested. Excellent breakfast from wide selection in airy breakfast room overlooking harbour. Soundproof rooms although next to road.
This is a high quality hotel with plenty of marble staircases. -
Helpfulness of staff
The Staff were fantastic, and the location is ideal. Free Wi-fi that actually works and a great cafe on the first floor with balcony that was so relaxing. I can't wait to go back.
Comfortable bed, clean bathroom For Greek standards, outrageously expensive considering facilities
Beautiful place with very friendly and helpful staff, they also spoke very good English.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Kindness to their many animals, mostly rescued from being abandoned.
attractive location; simple but comfortable; quiet & unostentatious; friendly staff. difficult to find; internet directions to it virtually unintelligible!
Rooms are very comfortable with facilities that are convenient for longer stay (including a kitchenette and a large balcony). The hotel is in a quiet and exclusive location in the heart of the nature. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is very near, but offers not the best conditions that we have seen on the island.
We loved the special attention we recieved . we wish to thank voula for her friendly help and her conversation during breakfast. The friendly family style really made our stay very happy. i will be returning there in a few years time and will recommand this hotel to all my friends travelling in that part of Greece.
A charming place, with a small local beach just across the road - an ideal summer retreat. Delicious Greek breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful owners.
very nice environment as it is build within an olive grove, an ideal place to relax. the room was very tidy and clean.lots of animals for families with kids to play with, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
I loved being surrounded by olive trees and a working farm. I loved the charming little dogs Hermes and Sappho, who made me feel at home and who frequently visited me in my room. I enjoyed the elegance of the room and surroundings. The view from my balcony was beautiful. The hotel staff were very helpful whenever I had a problem. Sometimes Hermes and Sappho followed me when I went out for an excursion. This was charming some of the time, but on at least one occasion it was frustrating, as it made me miss my ferry. I worried that the little dogs would be hit by a car.
This was our 1st trip to Greece. My family and I decided to go to the island of Lesvos. We tried to feel out hotels by reading online descriptions. After many days of online research, we decided to book at Aphrodite Hotel. It was the best decision we made. The island is Beautiful but staying this hotel made our vacation amazing. We are now back from vacation but I wanted to make time to write this review so others don’t have to struggle like us to find a remarkable hotel. If you want an unforgettable vacation, look no further!
Not a lot, as when you come out of the hotel you only had a joyce of going left or right and nothing at the end of it, you could only walk, as bus'es was not very regular, and taxies was expensive as you was miles from any where, the beach would not get a blue flag in uk. its not sand as you are lead to beleave from write up, its stoney. you only got a choice of two shops to get anything you want.. We could see why the hotel is a two star, you had the same for breakfast every day, no choice, ham, cheese, bread, boiled eggs, cake & cereals if any body was staying for two weeks, they would be sick of this. we paid for two evening meals there, both times the food was disgusting. and prices are very dear for what you get, you could not exchange money at the hotel as stated on board outside, or anywhere in Vetra, you had to go by taxie which cost 20 Euro return to get money. this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in for the price payed. the only good thing in Vetra was one hundred yards down the road where we had the rest of our meals the food was lovely and they could not do enough for you. (Grilled restaurant ) .
Aphrodite Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at, not only in Greece, but in Europe. It is beautifully located across from the beach. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is incredible. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not regret it. It is ideal for families, couples, and singles alike. Whether you enjoy partying or relaxing, Aphrodite Hotel is the place to stay!!!
Our stay at aphrodite beach hotel was a wonderful experience. To begin with, the location was amazing,as the hotel was exactly on the beach and we had a wonderful view from our room, wich was very chic and had a nice size. Also, the food was delicious and the menu included a wide range οf local greek dishes. The servise was excelent and the family very hospitable.
aphrodite hotel is a very warm and friendly hotel, very clean and in a very beautiful location where you can relax and enjoy the excellent greek hospitality.also the food in aphrodite tavern was delicious. everything was perfect for a family three star hotel
We stayed at Aphrodite Beach Hotel during August 2009. What a wonderful experience! The hotel is situated exactly of the best beach of Lesvos island. The owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful during our entire holdiay. Right next to the hotel the owners grow their own organic garden which caters to the hotel's restaurant. The menu and taste of their meals were incredible. The vegetables were so tasty and cooked in a traditional way by the owners mother also using their own grown olive oil. We have never eaten better Greek food before! The hotel's breakfast was also very good. They had fresh home made cakes and a nice continental selection. The area which we ate breakfast was very warm and cosy. For a 3 star hotel we were extemely satisfied with everything.
excellent hotel,excellent location,excellent stuff
The beach in front of the hotel is very nice. Nice natural restaurant on the seaside. The hotel is not luxorius but has almost everything necessary. The rooms are neat and comfortable. The personnel is helpful.
The hospitality! The shower curtain was a little short, so we always ended up with a flooded bathroom.
Our entire experience was wonderfull. The staff and owners made us feel like part of their family. The location is beautiful and tranquil. The food is homemade and is delicious. The owners take pride in what they do.
Spacious, clean room, modern structure, view to the sea, a short drive from a numerous interesting sights and places to visit. Car noise from the road in front of the hotel at night can be a little annoying if you're looking for a completely quiet and undisturbed sleep.
I was not at all satiafied by the ratio price/luxury.Far far away from every intresting place.I will not go there again.
