Hotel look, Staff
Excellent hotel, with outstandingly friendly and helpful staff. Perhaps the best hotel staff I have come across - and I have travelled a lot over many years.
I appreciate very much the kindness of the hotel 's staff and the hotel generally. The city is probably the last place of Holland to be visited. Not too nice people around the city....
Location - it was close to the office (i was on business trip), but also close to the city if you want to dine somewhere nice (>10 min by car). Staff was very friendly. I had a car and parked on the street front of the hotel with no cost. The mini bar is very pricy, so you should bring your own drinks with you if you do not like the tap water.
Beautiful hotel very nice even better then the pictures of it
The staff was very helpful offering advice about what to see and how to get there. Public transportation is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If available, try to book a room with the 17 foot ceiling. Warm water falling from the shower head 17 feet above is almost like taking a shower in a tropical rain storm.
The energetic, enthusiastic staff. They offered their services at the slightest moment they could be of help.
Wonderful staff and room. Great price. Quiet area of town. I could relax and work without noise. Incredibly comfortable bed. The location was a little ways from the main part of town but the metro can have you there in 5 minutes or less. The metro was easy to use.
Very nice hotel.
Excellent design and good service
felt welcome, good standard, good bed gaood food n/a
The decor in the rooms was very nice and the food served was lovely
The design. Nice breakfast and breaksfast room. Good size rooms, and bathroom. It's location is too far from the city center of Delft, needed to go by bus.
Clean and value for money
I liked the design of the hotel which was imaginative. The location is good, just off the main highway but quiet. The views were fine. The bed was soft. The cleanliness was so so (garbage not changed).
The food was excellent and the service good. Rooms and bed very comfortable No
there is no internet access in the rooms, the wifi does not work in the rooms, only in reception. This is rubbish!!!
Quit hotel, nice facilities
nice view, great interior design, smart features - hooks on the wall, good use of space
Location of hotel. Carpets a bit worn
The bed was clean, and the exterior is nice looking. The place was dirty, the carpets smell and need cleaning or replacement. The breakfast was poorly plained, lacking in any sort of creativity or even thought. The microwave ruined breakfast bread. Another concern was the smell of the place, the room was non-smoking, but it reeked of smoke. The common areas smelled dirty, not just boat like. There is a greasy feel to the place. That said it could be nice with clean carpets, improved ventilation or just opening more windows more often, care to the food preparation for breakfast, and some updating in the decor.
The food was the only thing good at this hotel... Not a very good hotel. It's dirty and expensive. Lots off extra cost for parking. If you are traveling with a pet then prepare to pay 20 euro a night extra. One time experience for us, not gonna book this hotel again.
Good Food, good prices in market for seafood, it is a Chinese style place, chinese restaurant,
This is the cutest hotel in the world. Such an experience to stay here. It's not in the middle of the city, but it is well worth the hike through the beautiful gardens or around the bay. The room was huge, had a spacious shower and a kettle with tea and coffee. The bed and pillows were clean and comfy and the room had a safe. The staff were helpful and lovely and there's an asian supermarket in the building/boat/barge/thing. Breakfast was less than desirable...
The location was interesting. It was a little tired and grubby
The relax atmospher, the variety and the good service The lack of English speakers among the staff.
Air conditioner is working. Dear Sir/Madam, I am sorry writing that hotel is very dirty and towel was in the room not clean too, no internet connection in the room, lift not working, breakfast very poor only you can eat bread and butter other thing very old, only fresh is bread. Location is not bad but for location you can not chose this hotel!!! I chosed because I didn't know how durty.
Close to the park and the centre of Rotterdam. Nice surroundings. Nice Chinese interior and exterior. The interior was worned and gave an impression of dirtieness. Electrical fittings were not fixed.
absolutely nothing Where do I start? The whole place was absolutely filthy. Our fridge was covered in blue mould. the place has obviously never seen a cleaner, the hotel "rules" states that there is a cleaner everyday - rubbish!!! the carpets were disgusting, the wires were hanging out of the wall, you would be as well sleeping on the warddrobe door as the beds were like a brick. There is a no smoking policy but our warddrobe had cigarette ends in it. Even if you were desperate - please do not ever book into this hotel (actually got a cheek calling it a hotel)!! Don't even start me on the breakfast!!
Location. Breakfast good. Style of rooms was not that I excepted. Whole floor carpet was awful, totally different style than other things. Excepted also more from SPA: No private rooms for changing clothes. No bath jacket + shoes at room.
Perfect view from the 12th floor. Nice bar, good service. Cool room.
Room was fantastic and room service excellent. Would go again
Swimming pool and sauna/steamroom were excellent, and free internet access very useful. Easy to find and accessible to tram and metro. Breakfast was expensive.
Views from all areas Swivel chairs in water bar too fast after a few drinks!
Very loud, no alternative room available, under renovation, no fitness area.
We loved the view at the town and the harbour from the 13. etage. The breakfast was good, but expensive. The room was excellent.
The Staff were the kind I would happily employ and had great temperaments suitable to the `Industry. Good position for Museums and a quick ride to Theaters. Beds too soft and ended up with a backache.Pillows too thin for comfort of neck. Smart tap design in bathroom was difficult to decipher re bath or shower etc until shown and no signage or directions to tell you how to use them. Design upmarket utilitarian and found anywhere. Usual expensive mini bars and snacks.
Great location and good connection to public transport Bathroom was rather small
The hotel was very good value, the rooms were well kept and the staff were very frienly.
Old building recently optimized. The stairs, while I think that it is a usual aspect in Holland architecture (usually you have to cliff through them) . On the other hand the hotel has an elevator.
Small but nicely renovated, clean hotel. Rooms are rather small. Good value for the money.
nice staff and good location the breakfast is poor.
Breakfast very poor. No air conditioning.
The room was clean and comfortable. Price is good. It's not so far from the center of the city and close to old port district which is interesting place BTW. Breakfast was minimalistic
The hotel staffs are very accommodating, they always ask me of anything I need and offer me coffee when I stayed at the lobby.
Helpful friendly staff, newly decorated, central location, breakfast included.
Neat and Clean room with friendly staff at the hotel. There was enough space in the room.
Hotel ok for couple days of staying
The cotel is close to public transport and the rooms are nice, clean and quite spacious. Also the Internet connection worked very well.
Excellent value. Very convenient location near Central Rotterdam. Very friendly and helpful staff.
free drinks machine
I booking four days but I just living two days. I can not call the reception. Heating =cold. I don't want living again
Stuff was very kind and you have free coffee, milk and tea available all the day. Heaters were switch off during the night.
Great location, friendly personnel, excellent (and free) wi-fi connection, 15 mins walk from Rotterdam Centraal Station. Was absloutely charmed with the hotel design; it made the room and the lobby look very cozy, The room and the bathroom were really tiny. There was barely enough storage space, and fittings were a bit outdated.
Near Station It was a v small room, sheets were not v clean, window was broken so i was wondering if my belongings were safe
The animal print covers for the bed, and the 24 hour-all-you-can-drink- coffee machine.
Excellent value for money Good breakfast Building works in progress retiling the floors - noisy at breakfast
I asked for a non-smoking room and first room I was given smelt like a smoking area. Second room had a bathroom that smelt like iron (very strong). When we arrived, we couldn't pay for the room because of a problem on the credit card machine. They phoned our room 1AM to ask me to go downstairs and make the payment!!!!! As I didn't go because we were sleeping, they called again 7AM!!!! And to complete, I couldn't have a bottle of water because the hotel was out of it and there was no place around where I could buy it.
simpaty of the staff. keys door was blocked, make me go dawnster with bags to the information to acitvate the car.
Very enjoyable stay - good facilities and good breakfast. Nothing
convenience for my business very old fashioned decor.
A very comfortable hotel, with excellent and knowledgable staff.
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in this hotel, but you definitely need a car to visit the nice beaches e.g. of Schouwen-Duiveland. If you just want to visit Rotterdam the public transport facilities are o.k. The breakfast on Sunday in another room (ballroom) only offered limited options (e.g. no hot chocolate for children, not even on request)
The room was great, there was an extensive amount of choices for breakfast, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The online bill on the tv was completely wrong - it showed the city tax per person as 71 euros per night instead of 71 cents, and did the same with the mini-bar drinks - 375. euros instead of 3.75 euros.
The location The gym and pool area has not been updated for a number of years now and is becoming quite dated and shabby. It badly need cooling, as the fans are not adequate.
beds were OK outdated interior of the hotel, unattractive breakfast table and room in combination with too high price.
The girl, Chrystal, working at the restaurant, bar was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was not wotth the price. Especially the manner how it was served on your plate.
The atmosphere was very relaxed
Location You can stay at this hotel if you do not want following things Reception after 23 hours, no minibar in the room, no iron and iron desk, no ironing service, no bar in the hotel. It does no offer services that supposed to be in four star hotel, I would consider changing this hotel to two or three stars.
A quiet and spacy place to stay
friendly, quiet, excellent beds and a strong commitment to helping others.
lack of parking. hotel should have a deal with the secure parking under the Erasmusbrug
location was perfect for me room was very cold
Beautiful spacious room and bathroom, extremely friendly staff, comfortable bed (apart form the pillows). Some minor points: pillow too thick, no BBC 1 & 2 on TV, WiFi a little pricy (many hotels these days offer free continuous WiFi which is great for the business traveller), lack of hot-water kettle.
the modern style, cosy, our room was really full of light (from outside)
It is a very clean hotel with friendly stuff, nice breakfast room and good breakfast with absolutely divine croissants. To much noise through the walls especially in the early morning.
The rooms are huge, stylish and very comfortable. The staff is friendly. Bathrobes were a plus. The breakfast was quite average. The basics are there and a long the right lines, but there could have been a bigger selection.
Architecture and size of rooms was great. Breakfast room was impressive. Quiet and very comfortable night. Would recommend this hotel.
Lovely staff, very nice room, beautiful setting in park, nice details (fresh fruit in room, home made cookies etc) Bathroom a little outdated, but fine.
wonderful location, delightful building, lovely, very comfortable room unhygenic shower curtain
This hotel is all about eating in the restaurant (a famous Dutch chef). We didn't (apart from breakfast which was included and excellent) because we couldn't afford it! We knew this beforehand though and chose the hotel for some luxury accommodation in the right location on our travels around Holland. It was an excellent room and a really good experience all round. Make sure you pack some posh clothes!
A perfect hotel and location for a break that was 'away from it all' yet very accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Savelberg.
Comfortable, great food and service, lovely interior and suberb garden the fact that you could smoke indoors - particularly cigars, makes clothing smell.
Excellent location, nice rooms, good service and food none
I've travelled a lot and booked frequently at hotel Booking. But Restaurant hotel Savelberg is a real 4 stars category hotel. Bravo. The restaurant is a must. The cooks did an excellent (Menu "Savelberg" aprox. 65 EURO p.p.) The room is charming and luxury and complies with the needs of a real 4 star Hotel. Watch your head and don"t bump into the roof beams at roomnumber #8. I believe this was the smallest room of the 24 rooms (?).
Location, views, calm atmosphere, easily accessible, few rooms making it a lodge/B&B-like stay with modern, high quality facilities. Practically nothing. Someone complained that no plugs in the bathroom for hairdryer, etc.
Luxurious, romantic rooms. Lovely grounds.
Excellent expereience accompany with friendly and helpful hotel staff, fresh breakfast is a plus.
Friendly hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and good service. Location is nearby the city-center. Within a few minutes walking you are on the ´Grote Markt´. The square with pubs in front of the hotel may cause some noise in some of the rooms, specially in the summer.
In the heart of Delft
Location is excellent. In the heart of Delft
Excellent location in city center near the New church and city hall. 10 minutes by foot connection to the railway station. Shopping street and food stores in 5 minutes walk. Delicious breakfast, very nice staff, clean and warm room.
The staff was really, really nice and helpful. My room was nice, clean and comfortable and I slept there very well. also location was exellent. Good breakfast.
The central location Parking difficulty (in all of Delft). No lift. No air conditioning (that was a surprise)
A great location on the Beestenmarkt and just a couple of minutes walk from the main square with the New Church and the Town Hall. I got a room facing away from Beestenmarkt, a square just outside the hotel with a lot of restaurants and the room was very quiet: excellent soundproof windows. The service was great: very friendly staff. The room was kept very clean as well. Nothing for me. My two-night stay was great.
the staff and the location + the payment facility at the public parking
Nice, spacious room, with an interesting bathroom architecture. Free parking at the back. Very good bed. No free Wifi in standard rooms. Breakfastroom has a bit of a style like a factory canteen.
the atmosphere beds are way to hard!
Good food, clean rooms, great staff
Very nice rooms and bar/restaurant facilities and friendly efficient staff
The rooms are really beatiful, confortable and moderm It's important to have a car because the city center and other cities are a little bit far away
Price was higher than was quoted by Booking.com. It was mentioned that booking.com arranged the prices scheme. Limited choice of meal menu.
the entrance is a bit difficult to get to when you have parked you car
Due to the special arrangement of the bathroom, the room was smelling mold. Also the pillows should be washed more often.
Clean, good quality the bathroom/toilet has transparent glass walls and it is open to the main room at the upper part making going to the toilet when two people share a room an embarrassing experience.
Service attitude of the staff Room was fairly hot and some bits were loose (but directly repaired after mentioning it to staff)
The staff are excellent. The rooms are old,... needs major upgrade.
Friendly staff, nice clean rooms We were given 10th floor room which is not ideal but maybe that was the only one availble.
The staff we encountered was excellent in all areas of the facility, friendly, helpful and professional minor maintenance in the room was required - broken hair blower hose, poor ventalation in the the bathroom
Location is what we were looking for. Very good hotel with friendly staff. Would go back and also recommend this place
The big bed, size of room, friendliness of staff, the tram stop right across the street from the hotel. Did not like that we could not use the fridge for our own things, and moving anything inside would incur a charge.
The hotel is renovated and up to the latest standards of comfort and luxury. It is quiet and soundproofed. Food is excellent. The only thing to criticize is Internet speed but they do offer a fast paid version if you need that.
In general the hotel is very old. The room had a weird smell. The worst Hilton ever!!!
It was close to the casino & a nice hotel A little pricey
nice hotel lovely bed and pillows, quiet hotel with good service nothing, will definately stay there again
Hotel is dated but very clean. The breackfast is delicious No parking space and the public parking is very very expensive.Free parking from 23 to 12 Saturday to Sunday.
location close to the town centre, beds very comfortable, possibility to smoke in the room the staff was extremely rude especially the night staff, I also found them quite aggressive
Hotel well positioned near to centre and walking distance to rail station. Good value for money with competant staff. Unfortunately a wedding party was staying at hotel on the Saturday, and were noisily walking the corridors till 3-30am. I'm sure an isolated case though.
I would gladly stay there again. It was very appealing, efficient, clean and friendly. Nothing, it was great.
Beautiful room with everything we needed. Included a good breakfast. Nothing
The location is perfect, the personal is very friendly and helpful, the room is quite comfortable and the free Internet - very important.
In fact, the room was even better than that I have ordered (bath and shower instead of shower). Very good hotel. -
excellent service, very friendly staff, room was very nice, price/quality relation is very good.
The hotel has a nice atmosphere and is in set in a romantic settings withing the old city of Delft. There is no more staff after 23h00. For check-in, this could be an issue.
friendly helpful staff.its proximiyy to railway station and centre of town
Not sure how I would gain access after 12.00 on night of arrival if had had travel problems
The hotel is delightful, location is great and staff is very friendly. Hotel offered us an upgrade to a more spacious apartment. The apartment is decorated tastefully, all equipped for our comfort and has a great view of the canal.
The Leeuwenbrug was the nicest, most comfortable and well thought out hotel in Europe that I've been in over ~50 years of travel. This includes those that have cost several times more (because they were charged to business accounts.) The tourist part of Delft, Oude Delft, is a physically small area. Because of the hotel location, we were able to walk everywhere conveniently. The hotel had been converted from an individual home and appeared to be newly renovated and very well maintained. The room was more comfortable and had more amenities than usual: electric beds with adjustable headboards that would go up and down, easily enabling reading while sitting up in bed; good lighting in every area of the room/bathroom; 19… yes, 19, not a typo… electrical outlets to plug in electronics; an electric kettle with in-room coffee/tea; an abundance of closet space with hangers; a desk with two comfortable chairs that were on wheels… I could go on, but won't. Breakfast, included in the cost of the room, went way beyond a "typical Dutch" one, with different kinds of meat, fish, cheese, eggs, breads and cereals, fresh fruit, juice, little boxes of chocolate sprinkles, warm crèpes with different toppings, good/real coffee and more. Staff, with one exception, were friendly and helpful. Strong suggestion: In retrospect, if I were to go in Amsterdam again… which we did, staying in a rented airbnb apartment for five days… I would instead stay at this hotel and make the fast and easy commute into the city. While the Amsterdam tram system is excellent, the commute time from our apartment (that bordered on Vondel Park) to most places in the city was just slightly less than the ride to Delft and back. The tranquility of Delft vs. the chaos of Amsterdam would be well worth it.
Bed excellent quality, portable airco in room nice as I had to keep window shut because of Mosquitos that got in on the first night. Staff good and fluent in many languages, but would like a bit more smiles from some of them.
nothing special normal
good breakfast beds and other room furniture not really up to date for 4 star hotel
Hotel could not have been better, a little bit out of the centre of Rotterdam but that's why we chose it - very close to the Feyernoord football stadium (a football match was the reason for our trip) and a couple of minutes drive off the motorway. Our stay could not have been better. The staff were also excellent, so was the free car parking which was in plentiful supply! Not really. It was aimed at business people judging by the location but there were mainly tourists when we were there. Maybe an outdoor play area would have been useful however there was free use of games inc Playstation and some childrens toys.
It was convenient. Closing time of kitchen - 22:30h.
Close to where I had my appointment. Breakfast intake done by not very friendly Asian female person. Let her start with a smile in the morning.
Conveniently located near Erasmus University, and bus stop is right in front. I was offered upgrade (superior > executive) at EUR25/night upon C/I, which included free minibar w/ Nespresso & mineral water, bath lobe, slippers, broadband access (upgrade from wifi), and high floor (less noise and better view), which I though was a good deal. Room was spacious, nice and clean. Comfy firm mattress. Breakfast was offered at two levels, EUR 9.50 for continental, or EUR 19 for buffet (many choices of meat/cheese/pastries/juice, enough for consecutive stay). 'Breakfast included' rate meant buffet. Dinner was good, with enough selection of glass wines, a little pricey though. No other restaurants nearby, except for on-campus HOT SPAR and food court.
comfort, nice environment, free parking and good breakfast
............. the staff dont have answers for alot of my question . so far away from the central . noisy most of the time .
Hotel clean with nice lobby and staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent Prices of drinks in minibar too expensive
Accommodating staff, modern classy hotel, superb breakfast, inexpensive bar convenient for city break.
close to the centrum, easy to find when we had breakfast on Monday morning, the personeel were already cleaning the tables around and preparing them for lunch. We felt like we are disturbing them... (we were in time for the breakfast)...
No. It is a great value and the people were fantastic.
You could comfortably walk around Delfshaven in 10 minutes, the area is mostly residential, there are a few good pubs and bars around an attractive waterfront, but really this is a small exception to the general blight. The hotel is placed slightly away from the deprivation, again, overlooking a pleasant waterfront - there is a major but not too busy road in front. A friendly, down market hotel needing major investment - public areas are shabby, my first room was poor, the second modern and acceptable, but the thin walls put you at the mercy of the young and loud crew returning from their clubbing at whatever hour. Older travellers should think twice, as should anyone with the means to afford better. Travel to the city by Metro is cheap, by taxi the reverse.
Great location, delicious breakfest, nice view out of the window, VERY friendly owner :)
Hotel was basic and though not particularly cheap, it is when compared to other accommodation in Rotterdam. Room wasn't huge but comfortable enough for the 3 of us, shower was nice and hot. Owners friendly and welcoming, good continental spread for breakfast, and located conveniently for Metro or tram to city centre.
quiet, ample parking Tiny little old crappy towels, bad shower, in poor condition
It was a bit far from the city center, the reception was closed at 6 p.m. so if you are late, you need to call them to get the code of the door downstairs
We stayed for 1 night only, so we hadn't the opportunity to get to know well the place, but the receptionist was really friendly and when asked for some good places she told us immediately :)
Next to Delfshaven and well communicated by tram and metro. Far from the centre of Rotterdam.
I got a lot of info about rotterdam, easy acces to Erasmus University. very friendly staff. parking in front of the hotel. Good working wireless lan. There is no minibar in the rooms.
