The room was large and very clean, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, The breakfast was hot , and a very good buffet. Will certainly stay there again.
Very nice and new rooms. They were new, nicely decorated, and clean. Very good value for the price. The bathroom was very nice and clean. The rooms are big. If you have a car this hotel is quite close to both Oviedo and Gijón. The entrance road is somehow creepy. The double bed is just two beds with wheels put together. It's pretty difficult to sleep comfortably since they move. The internet connection was kinda slow (the hotel was full though)
Staff were helpful Vert difficult to find, breakfast and dinner at the hotel ordinary
The garden is quite nice. It is all but impossible to find even with telephone directions from hotel staff and a GPS navigator. It has all the architectural barriers you have ever thought of plus one or two you had never imagined. At the time of my stay it was only half built (April 2007); the ground floor of one building had no walls or fittings and electrical cables trailed across the road between the two main room blocks. The buildings themselves are poorly built and not well maintained: rusting steelwork, crumbling masonry and peeling paint are salient characteristics. I note that another visitor from Italy was dissatisfied with the location. I do not agree with other travellers who commented favourably.
The rooms were large and clean, very helpful staff .
The spaciousness of our room and its modern, comfortable and well-equipped nature. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff and excellent maintenance of our room Ease of travel within Asturias from its strategic siting near the meeting of so many main roads. In spite of the latter, the hotel seemed to be miles away from anywhere in the middle of countryside.
The daily room-rate was excellent Hotel was clean and staff were friendly The hotel is almost impossible to find, very poor signage, and new construction of roads around hotel complicates matters even worse
cleaning and service is not good .the hotel is difficult to find and its near the highway
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was modern and large, though the promised mini-bar was absent, we just asked for the water also promised but not present.
The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Had a children's play area - good for small kids.
very spacious room, comfortable, clean.
Hotel desing no windows in the breakfast room
The room was great, simple and tastefully decorated. The hotel located in a nice neighbourhood, where you can take a nice stroll. It has a gym (free of charge for hotel guests) and a spa (that I didn’t try). The restaurant is great and the cook prepared a soup although it was not on the menu. Breakfast was simple but nice… The staff at the desk could be a bit nicer. The machines in the gym could be more modern.
Central location, comfort in rooms Difficult to find. Driving directions shall be improved.
The hotel was very well located in the countryside so it was quiet. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff very helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
Breakfast! It was excellent. It is a very nice place, but not very convenient as a base for exploring.
Not a lot There was no breakfast available despite you quoting prices. Old furniture with damaged mirrors
A hotel with character. The hotel is situated in the town square very near to an Irish pub and a night club. Each night we were kept awake for hours (until daylight) by music, shouting and glass breaking.
The owner is very engaging and helpful. We like the central location. Too hot in night but we may have forgotten to turn off radiators
Good Location, Clean and Tidy.
That it was a typical Spanish hotel with very friendly and efficient staff and well situated.
The atmosphere of the building and furnishings Only that there wasn't a lift
Goog location anf frendly staff. Hotel is situated in the center of nice little town. Remember to ask parking!
Central location. Friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very, very quiet with stunning views of the Picos de Europa. It's very difficult to find - they need more signs from the nearest main road.
Great location, beautiful hotel The restaurant was closed (which we were given no warning about) and there are no restaurants in close proximity
The setting was lovely and the hotel was very nice. The food in the restaurant was OK but expensive for the qulity.
Excellent value for money, evening meal was 1st class, stunning location and the freindly staff completed our stay. Bedrooms with vaulted ceiling, although looked fantastic the height restriction was a back breaker!
We stayed one night (30 July) on our way across to Galicia, but would have booked additional nights after our experience. The property has been fitted to an excellent standard and the set menu was good value for money. a pity the restaurant appeared to be under utilised by the guests. Breakfast was plentiful. Our bedroom was on the top floor with a sloping and beamed ceiling, so care was needed to avoid banging our heads. Wonderful views can be had from the skylights with the sound of cowbells ringing from the hill farm on the other side of the golf course. No air conditioning, but the skylights were adequate to cool the room. The hotel is in a secluded area so you would need to travel some way if you wanted to eat out. You need to watch out for the signs to find the hotel although the gps proved useful.
It is a verry peacefull hotel, rooms are nicly decorated, diner was good, breakfast is a buffet. Great view from the terrace on the mountains and golfcorse. The best hotel we stayed in during our trip. No view from your room and no airconditioning. During the night you don't need a/c but during the day it would be nice.
Similar to staying with friends. Hotel staff very obliging and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful peaceful situation buried in the countryside. Perfect for those wanting to get away from it all with some luxury thrown in. We were rather surprised by the amount of outside lighting left on all through the night. Difficult to stop the light coming in at night, a bit light city lighting. Not very echo- and disturbing when trying to sleep. Other than that - a perfect stay. Also it accepts dogs. However in your brief on the hotel it does not specify the cost for dogs, rather it indicates that one might or might not pay. In the event I was charged 25 euros a day, which I thought excessive and queried it. The owner agreed to halve the charge.
Amazing location in the middle of the Asturian hills, beautiful building with all modern confort. Would highly recommend this hotel for relaxing a few days away from the city. Breakfast could be improved to match the rest of the services offered.
location, friendly staff, quality food, clean air, sound of cow bells, availabilty of walks directly from hotel the difficult drive from the main road but that is not the hotel´s fault!
Nice view Small rooms
Very warm welcome from manageress, glorious views, nice furniture in public areas, Manageress went out of way to provide lovely diabetic breakfast. Super walks from hotel. Good parking. Hard to find, but worth the effort. If you want a proper evening meal you have to drive to town, but good recommendation for restaurant from manageress.
the location is stunning, the hotel is run well by a friendly argentinean family, the room is spacious and comfortable and the dining room / lounge is decorated in an attractive way. both breakfast and dinner were well presented and good value. Our stay was excellent, it made me relax and smile. it was hard to find; in villaviciosa are no directions to the hotel unfortunately.
The owners are delightful and welcoming, the hotel is in the heart of beautiful countryside, and the views all round are impressive. Hotel is a long and winding drive out of Villaviciosa - but the views compensate.
More like a 3 or 4 star hotel! Can recommend highly. Friendly staff, nice room with view, tastefully decorated common rooms with high quality rustic materials, free mini-bar, hydromassage in shower. A bit hard to get to (5 km. in the hills above Villaviciosa) but the price was cheap, so paying a taxi to get us there (8 Euros) was no big deal. Breakfast was very good, juice, coffee, several cakes, cheese, yogurt, fruit- and all included in the price! A relaxing and comfortable hotel.
The friendly staff, the wonderful views over the estuary at Villaviciosa and the lovely breakfast which included a selection of homemade cakes.
Exceptional location with stunning views; Hotel well looked after and modern adn attractively furnished; staff exceptionally friendly and helpful Very limited evening menu, but good quality and pleasantly served. Some adverse comment about breakfast in other reviews, but we thougth it was excellent and varied.
Fantastic views, very clean Very limited evening meal
Set high up, some 2/3 miles outside of town, with wonderful views. A lovely place in glorious country. Good breakfast, but a limited evening menu which is satisfactory if you had a good lunch. We would stay here again, rather unique and we thought good value. We could not find signs from center of Villaviciosa. So from Town Hall take Calle Balbin Busto, turn left at top, and follow road out of town to Aguelle & Moriyon.
The staff were fantastic and the setting magnificent As it is a fair way out of town, the lack of a bar and proper restaurant, serving hot food, in the hotel should be highlighted. A minor niggle, but the TV in the room was tiny, my computer screen is bigger.
The room was very clean and quiet and the lounging areas very comfortable. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were exceptional with fresh local foods well prepared. Great location for visiting the Parque Natural and the hosts are also park biologists. Nothing.
