The staff and manager are attentive to the needs of the guests. Especially the ones that are handicapped. The rooms are great with ample room even in a wheelchair. The coziness of the front porch gives a warm inviting feeling. Entering the building with a wheelchair was a challenge as there were no automatic doors or handicap assisted doors. The staff and manager more than made up for this as every time we entered or left they assisted us.
Location. It was where we wanted yo be and restaurants were very convenient. Price it cost what many 5 star hotels cost but did not have the extras or the quality of the amenities I expect from a 5 star hotel.
I cant say enough good things about this smaller place, but I very highly recommend a stay here if you find yourself in the area! The entire hotel was spotless, cozy, and very inviting, all members of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and all food provided was absolutely wonderful! Definitely highly recommended, and we will be staying here again when we are in the area. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
Breakfast was good and room was immaculate except it had only half a roll of toilet paper. Your website said there was a hot tub and there wasnt anymore. Pool was too warm for mid summer.
Good value - friendly staff. Had to leave before the breakfast was supposed to begin - was quite pleasantly surprised to see that everything was all set out 30 minutes early. Great start for the day! Nothing not to like!
Room wasn't ready after have been Given key.
The location is good, just a few miles from the Corning historic area, and the area seems good. Breakfast is included, though it's pretty basic (Eggo waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal, a loaf of bread for toasting, packaged pastries, juice, etc.). Request not to have a room facing out the back. There are a number of what seem to be residents rather than guests who gather out back each night, grilling, smoking, playing cards, drinking, and making a lot of noise late into the night. We just ran our A/C unit nonstop and it drowned them out. There didn't appear to be an elevator, so if you have heavy bags, be prepared to carry them up one flight of stairs. It's an old building, and it shows. Not super clean, worn carpets and fixtures, etc.
It was within 20 mins of watkins glen race track. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. Everything else. The hotel itself is filthy - the carpets stained, the halls reek of cigarettes blended with cleaning products. We called because we stupidly forgot toothpaste, nope, the front desk doesn't carry extras. There's no bathroom in the lobby/first floor at all. The comforter in the room had all sorts of stains. There was some random brown stuff on the wall behind the bed. This is the kind of place you really check your sheets for cleanliness or sleep in your clothes.
Location seemed pretty clean Looked like there was mold in the bathroom and hair dryer didn't work well. Had to hold button to get it to work.
We loved our stay here. It was right across from the Corning museum, staff was super friendly!! We loved the breakfast lady that morning (March 14th) and the room was very nice as well! Will be coming back in the future!! Only complaint is someone was stomping at 12:15am till 1:30am but that's not the hotels fault.
This hotel was within walking distance to the shuttle stop for the Corning Museum, that was great as I have mobility issues. The suite was nicely sized for my wife and myself plus our two teenage sons. We all had enough space so that we didn't feel crampe Having to leave
Breakfast, Swimming pool, dvd rental
Clean They could have told us we could just go get on a bus for the museum. Also heard the breakfast person say to someone this is why she doesn't smile. Not something to say in front of guest. Made people feel like we were doing something wrong.
Ask twice for trash pick up .all else was great !

Room was very big and nice. The staff was very helpful. Check in and out was done quickly. Very noisy walls seem very thin.
THE ROOM SIZES WERE EXCELLENT. PERFECTLY LAID OUT FOR PRIVACY. POOL OPEN TIL 10 PM WAS A TREAT. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND THE STAFF TERRIFIC GREAT LOCATION TO MUSEUM AND TROLEY SERVICE COOKIES AND AFTERNOON COCTAIL PARTIES ARE ONLY MON, TUES,WED. DISSAPOINTED ABOUT SAME. KIDS WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO HOT CHOCOLATE AND FRESH BAKED COOKIES.
Very clean, well appointed room. Nice hot breakfast. Great pool and hot tub. No
Wonderful Clean and very nice we had booked a King bed room and when we checked in they didn't have one. Just a Queen... The hotel is right next to the Corning Glass museum so it's super convenient. Long Long hallways and not enough King size beds
The location was perfect...literally on the end of the Corning Glass Museum parking lot within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the room was a great size with great amenities for the price. I enjoyed the kitchen in the room!
Hot Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointed in quality of mattress - very noisy. Also, wi-fi internet connection poor.
Clean room, soft bed, hot water, friendly staff, and very quiet. I was lead to believe there was a free continental breakfast. There was not! The pool closed at 9:00 pm, way too early since the young children and their parents monopolized the pool and in the morning the pool members were doing laps. So I paid for these amenities and didn't get them. It was not really within walking distance of restaurants or shopping, It was at the total other end of Elmira. Next time I go to visit my Daughter in Elmira, I will stay at a less expensive hotel with- out a pool, but with a free breakfast! Very disappointed!
The exercise room was clean. The staff was courteous. The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast buffet was too pricey for family at $10.95 per person. We did not eat at the hotel because of it.
Beds were very comfortable. Dinner food was reasonably priced and the restaurant had a good variety. Restaurant hours were very limited. Breakfast food was passable and restaurant service, in general, seemed disorganized. It was a busy weekend at the hotel and, at times, there was no one at the front desk! There should have been two people at the front desk on such a busy weekend.
Fast reception. Room was clean neat and comfortable I didn't like that I stayed only one night
No free Wifi unless you're a Hilton Honors member.
RE STAFF: The young woman overseeing breakfast was a delight. Shy but courteous, gracious and ever so welcoming. Convenient to restaurants etc. SURROUNDINGS: Practically in a Walmart parking lot. Not elegant but fine.

We have stayed in several other motels nearby to the Elmira/Corning Fairfield Inn but this is the one we will return to! It was above and beyond our expectations in every way. We'll definitely be back! Thanks! Everything was positive.
out of the 3 days there was a spider on the bed 1st day and centipede second day in the room. I brought it to their notice and 3rd day it was fine :)
The staff ! Jessica and Jessica, both of them, at the front desk were awesome. So much help in getting me moved when my a/c failed. Jessica #1 got me fans for until I could be moved, and they were a huge help. Just that the a/c in my first room wasn't working. Otherwise an excellent choice and value.
I enjoyed the breakfast as well as the attentive staff!
It was clean and cheerful. The bed was amazing - I slept perfectly the entire night. Nothing - it was a great experience
The housekeeping staff was hardly accommodating for our comfort. For example: they knocked on the door and woke us up on the morning we were supposed to check out (the Do Not Disturb' sign was still hangingon the door hand, to find out if we already did.
This is a very friendly hotel. The staff are very nice, the service is good. The bed is comfortable, the microwave and fridge is a big plus. We enjoy the free breakfast. We will certainly return in the future.

Hospitality was top of the line. The bathtub is new and very very very slippery...Watch Out!
Good location, super-nice and helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Three miles from CMOG and Gaffer's District and a good base for exploring the Southern Finger Lakes area. Nice breakfast, too.
Very good stay
Decent location, spacious rooms, good breakfast, clean facilities especially the swimming pool. Would stay here again if traveling to the corning area We stayed at the Hampton Inn as well as a Best western during a recent trip to the finger lakes area and hands down the Hampton Inn was much better. My wife and kids liked the spacious rooms, breakfast and pool a lot.
My 10-year-old daughter wanted to take one of her friends to the Corning Museum of Glass, stay overnight in a hotel, and swim in a pool during her Christmas break. I thought they might be a little disappointed/bored, but I was really wrong!! I drove two ten-year-old girls an hour from home to the museum, spent a fun 3 hours or so there, then drove to the Hampton Inn in Gang Mills. The hotel is new, very clean, pretty, and very comfortable. It has a nice small fitness center with ellipticals, treadmills, dumbells and a few other things. All ellipticals and treadmills have their own TVs with disposable earbuds (the girsl LOVED this). The indoor pool was heated, which was great in the Winter! We were happy with the hotel, and had a fun mini vacation there. The best part was the staff person, Kimberlyn, who checked us in and was there until 11:00. She was AMAZING! She was so great with the girls, and put so much effort into making their stay special! She let them know that there would be cookies and popcorn in the lobby, let them help make the popcorn, offered them a board game from a VERY big stack of them they have for free sign-out, played the game with the girls and me in between her tasks, gave us a list of family-friendly movies we could sign out for free, brought the girls a ball for the pool, and kept checking on us to see if she could do anything to make our stay even more special. The girls drew pictures for her and really wanted to "hang out" with her for the night. I had to explain that she had a lot of work to do. The girls commented that staying at "Kimberlyn's hotel" was way more fun than the hotel in Disney! The morning staff person was also very friendly and helpful, but since we had to quickly head out due to bad weather, we didn't get to interact with her much (and didn't get her name). When I called from the road after checkout, the morning staff person went out of her way to find an earring and two rings that my daughter discovered she had left at the pool the night before. Absolutely zero negative comments! I tend to pick things apart, so this is a real compliment!
Friendly and helpful staff, and great location with easy drive to Corning Museum, Rockwell Museum and Market Street art & eateries. There is a supermarket right next door, handy if you just want to eat in.
The great breakfast in the morning, it was nice not to have to worry about looking to find food in the morning. The choices were great, loved the eggs. the pool was very nice too. the lady at the desk could not help us with the price. when I asked her a question bout the rate she told me she will talk to her boss, nothing about getting back to me.
The bedding was beautiful and clean. Lots of TV channels. Spacious. faint moldy smell in the room
This hotel was convenient to Corning Museum, and the Bob Evans Restaurant was great without having to go back into Corning after a long days drive. It was all very good and met all of my requirements.
Friendly Staff coffee in lobby 24 hours and snacks. N/A
Large room with fridge and microwave. Very quiet. Bathroom fan was loud.
Clean enough. Bed was fine. Lock broken on door. Heater fan squeaking loudly all night. Outside entrance. 2 block walk to breakfast outdoors in the rain. Showerhead cheap and not a comfortable stream. No adjustment. And so on.
Location was good. Bugs all over the place, no anti bug lamps. Rooms smelled of pets. Breakfast was mainly packaged oatmeal, packaged muffins and oranges. It was not a comfortable setting.
Pet friendly , my dog even got a welcome gift
- Neat rooms - Minimal breakfast - Wifi was only one day - Heating wasn't enough strong - Very old TV - Minimal breakfast
Easy access to and from highway, decent breakfast, friendly staff including cleaning crew I was traveling with a small child under the age of 2, parked my car outside of the entrance next to my room. Unloaded him, bags and dinner only to not have my key card work at the door. Had to load him and everything back in car drive to front entrance only to find out they activated it for 1 night only when I had already paid for 2. Very frustrating. Definitely not a kid friendly place due to the extremely loud patrons in the hallway (mainly construction/oil workers from out of state)
It was convenient, and the staff was nice I booked a room with a King bed that was non-smoking. When I arrived, they had no non-smoking rooms with a King bed. I had to settle for two double beds, and they did not offer any compensation.
rooms where clean, and hotel was quiet and looks like some effort has been put into updating the rooms bathrooms very small, shower heads in showers are very low, towels are very stiff and non-absorbent. maintenance of rooms needs to be improved broken mirror, remote for dvd did not function, and fire doors on second floor were in the closed position and would not stay closed with magnetic closure.
Seconds off the highway. Centrally located to Elmira-Corning-Ithaca. Restaurants, shopping centers, super market, nearby (some within walking distance). New TVs. Friendly staff.
The late night staff was friendly/helpful. breakfast was ok. It could use updates. Everything looks old. Smells old. Bathrooms were super tight and shower heads were really low. Towels were old/super thin.
