Located in North Oakland, Legume serves contemporary, seasonal American cuisine in a relaxed environment. Legume is a family-owned restaurant run by two-time James Beard semi finalist chef and owner Trevett Hooper and his wife Sarah. For over twelve years Legume has been Pittsburgh's leader in farm to table dining. All beef, pork, lamb, and goat are sourced from Western PA farmers. All meat and poultry served at Legume is free of antibiotics and artificial growth hormones. Csilla Thackray joined the team in February 2019 as chef de cuisine and oversees each day's menu. Legume's sister bar next door, Butterjoint, provides seasonal cocktails, a thoughtful beer list, and an eclectic yet deliberate wine list. Bar seating is available on a first come, first serve basis and is a great way to check out what we're all about.
