8.7 Excellent (183 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Cozy homestay over looking "sleeping lady mountain " with tropical garden. Comfortable room and warm hospitality to help customer to relax and explore the wonderful of South of Thailand and the Andaman sea. 45 min. to Krabi town and airport, 50 min to Laem Sak cap and pier, gateway to Phangna bay and the Andaman sea.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely stunning! It’s right in the middle of picturesque jungle, but also near to amenities and restaurants. We took the free-to-use bicycles one day and just cycled around; within 15 minutes, we’d arrived at a pier where you rent kayaks to visit two magical caves: one, Tham Lot, which is a secluded, beautiful water-cave you can paddle right into, and the other, a vey well-known and anthropologically-significant cave full of prehistoric paintings you can leave your kayak at. It’s only 300 Baht per person for unlimited use of the kayaks from the pier - such good value! Plus, the staff members are all really friendly and welcoming. Instead of just giving you a boring brochure to book the tours they sell, you are invited to a pond-side talk at night, where the owner passionately explains how some of the money spent on his trips goes to the local community instead of corporations. (He even intersperses his sales speech with Bob Marley songs on his guitar!)
Cons: The mosquito net was full of holes so I was bitten a lot :/ the trips on offer also seem a little expensive (but if the kayaking trip we had is anything to go by, I’m sure the water-cave and the prehistoric cave the owner pitched to use would have been great too!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful relaxing place to stay, The bamboo huts are comfy and cozy, the fan kept it nice and cool during the night. The staff are so friendly and so welcoming, lovely breakfast made in the morning. We will be back again !! :-)
Cons: Nothing negative to say, --lots of mosquitos though so remember to pack repellent spray ! :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Locatie super. Ontbijt goed. Sfeer super relaxed, back to nature !
Cons: -
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful, from arrival to departure. The homestay is typically rustic and located in an area of outstanding beauty, it is a peaceful and relaxing setting. There were only us and one more family and it felt quite intimate. After dinner the host played guitar and we sang out on the floating platform. They were happy to book trips for us. We went out to a waterfall/bathing pool, which was lovely, although expensive for what it was. The half day Kayaking trip of the caves was amazing.
Cons: There were lots of mosquitos, so make sure you take protection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is out of time, it makes a real break in your life. People are so nice, it is a real experiencing culture and meeting with a nice local family. The food is delicious! The place is really calm. I was in the place during April, it is the low season so for all the activities I was alone, so it was very magical!
Cons: Do not go if you don't want to live something local! There are mosquitos.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, excellent location, and very friendly staff and people, they made us feel very welcomed and there was a great music session on a little lake beside the cottages.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Dendee and Pla invite you in their garden where they have different kinds of options to stay. A floating bar om their pond where Dendee takes you into the night playing guitar with huis friends and the next day a perfect dip in a jungle pool and kayaking for us (other activities also possible). Good food and cuddly pets. It’s a country side stay, feels like living in the jungle.
Cons: We miss Pla’s healing oil for our mosquito bites...should have brought some :-) Have a good read before you book, this stay is special, maybe not for everyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a peaceful rural location, the very friendly warm welcoming owners was very nice. There are a variety of activities to do. Dende (the owner) plays the guitar and he sings every night, and it is a enjoyable moment for sharing with other people in the homestay. Btw, there is an excellent internet service.
Cons: Everything was good.
6.0 Good
Pros: Cute place by the water for a night or 2 but don't expect too much, also the food offered was basic but not cheap. Better settle your own shuttles to and from Baan Suan Thip; the entire village wants to do the transport but it's way too expensive. We had a fantastic kayaking trip in the neighborhoud, highly recommended!
Cons: The room and bathroom cleanliness. Also you don't get sheets, only a blanket... There were many (old) stains on them.

Pros: The environment, team and street market were fantastic. We had a great time relaxing and exploring.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The best about this place are the people. You will meet new friends, kan have a drink with them and go on an excursion with them. Very kind and helpful. And as a female solo traveller I can say that you will feel safe there!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We knew what we are going for and everything was better than expected - the atmosphere, the people (it felt like an old friends or family), the view from the bungalo, the amazing bamboo shower, the places we visited - it was great experience. Saturdays night market - a great place were to meet local food.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location near a small village and lush jungle, also dragon fruit and tamarind plantations nerby. Perfect for walks, a lot of activities possible...such as elephant sanctuary, boat trips, canoeing, jungle trek etc. Diners were super delicious, stuff very nice and helpful, appreciated evening guitar playing and singing, great atmosphere overall, very relaxing, good for meeting people from different parts of the world
Cons: We are sorry we missed the saturday walking street...that might have been a great opportunity to meet locals and try local food...for guest that are not staying on saturday like us and would like to interact with the locals it migh be good to have a guided tour of the nerby plantations or guided tour of the village, meet the locals, learn about their life, habits, beliefs, maybe visit someones house.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Arriving on Saturday we were treated to music and food festival on site- amazing. Great authentic accommodation in a lovely off the beaten track location.
Cons: Clearly in season sounds like an amazing place with a real community feel. Arriving out of season, it felt a little like that. We were the only ones booked in and had to find our own way to work things out
Bulan Anda Baba Resort - Ao Luek - Building

8.3 Excellent (43 reviews)

The Bulan Anda Baba Resort is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Krabi, having been recently opened in 2015. In terms of transportation, Krabi Airport is approximately 65km away. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. Airport pickup can be arranged by the hotel upon request. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely - the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the view is amazing. The host is extremely nice and will go out of his way to accommodate every request. Please do not believe the other reviews - there is no regular restaurant, but the place serves excellent food. You order the dishes from a menu, and they bring the food either to your room or to the tables on the beautiful grounds outside. It was the best food I had in Thailand. Take a walk at the nearby Muslim village, you will find a pier with restaurants and coffee places. Watch the sea going up and down every couple of hours, and shapes the rhythm of life in the surrounding villages
Cons: The place is a bit secluded, might be easier for guests with cars, but we managed without a car. The host arranged for a taxi for us when we needed, and we spent time walking and exploring the nearby area
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room is so modern which i don't expect for a local place. Location is really good for both sunrise and sunset. Staff is local people who is very kind. I came in late so didn't try their food.
Cons: no clearly sign for resort but that's fine you have a GPS!!!
4.6 Okay
Pros: The views. Amazing. Location can go in this section too - this area is not commercialised at all, mixed right in with the locals which is a cool experience, for a day or so.
Cons: Room could have been cleaner. Found a whole bunch of ants under the curtain and various gecko/lizards and their droppings in the room. Lack of....anything near by, nearest "restaurants" are a 15 minute walk away, similar for a shop, which appeared to have the only ATM, wasn't working though. Walking around the area, as someone else mentioned, we felt like the attraction for the locals. Building work going on at the end of the property We appeared to be the only guests staying there which was a little odd.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location on a quiet and isolated beachfront location. Good as long as you are happy to stay around the hotel. Large and well equiped bungalows with a seperate courtyard. Nice small pool and reasonable food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you like southern Thai food. It's on point. Views are spectacular. The family who own it are really rad. Solid people. Kayaks, boat tours, taxis at your disposal. Word of advice for those kayaking, beware of the low tide cause mud flats are a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for one night on route from Krabi to Koh Lanta. It is a very peaceful, small resort with amazing views. The rooms were spacious and clean. The owner, Quan, was a nice guy who spoke perfect English. He arranged for one of his staff to take my husband around the bay in his boat. Breakfast was served outside, overlooking the lake and was perfectly adequate. Wifi was excellent. Quan is in the process of having a small bar/restaurant built which he hopes to have finished soon - a great idea.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location into the palm trees field surrounded by the view of Laem Sak bay was peaceful and great. People looking for a quite area without any tourist are welcome.
Cons: The place is a bite deserted and there is no restaurant at all around it. Get its own transport is highly recommended whether you want to visit the area and get some food. The resort has no restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very special personal warm welcome by Mr. Quan and Toon and their proud Chinese heritage. They immediately invited us to special religious celebrations that coincided with our stay during full moon. Mr. Quan was extremely attentive to our needs and provided quick effective plans: a personally guided kayak trip, a long-tailed boat trip to nearby islands to visit locals , snorkel etc etc. All the staff were absolutely helpful and proud to present and share their culture.
Cons: That we could not stay for longer as this is a place that you can sink and relax into. It would be great to have a deep meditative and emotional recharging time here. Nothing we didn't like.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Unique outside location for breakfast. A good American-style breakfast. Eggs done the way they should be done. More than adequate. We even got some Thai desert with it!
Cons: The a/c was weak. It took almost 5-6 hours to cool the room down to comfortable. Had to move the bed directly into the air flow from the a/c so as to try and make it comfortable to sleep.
