Pros: The building was beautiful. Room was large Great atmosphere in old town Lovely outdoor terrace, which we didn’t get to use but would have if opportunity arose.
Cons: Very tricky driving there in large hire car. GPS wanted us to go up one way street the wrong way. Another road was closed to traffic - ? Due to it being Sunday. So after making 4 attempts to get close and breathing in on multiple occasions, we changed to a route coming from the other side of town.....so be warned. Worth it though.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gorgeous little hotel perched on the top of the hill with amazing views. There is a car park which is a real bonus in the narrow streets. The room was very clean and the AC worked really well, it was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was on the terrace in the sunshine and was really good, scrambled eggs, cheese, chorizio etc all freshly made. There is a great restaurant just steps away from the hotel, which was good as the hotel restaurant and bar was closed the day we were there. This hotel is worth a visit and we shall definitely return and stay longer.

Pros: Great place to stay in the historic centre. Friendly owner. And a clean room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: - the location in the old town right next to the castle - free ample parking space - breakfast on the terrace

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern facilities in a lovely old building, beautiful terrace for breakfast, great views, good food, friendly staff
Cons: Hard to find the parking although the owner tried to explain it to us; we were scared of getting our camper stuck in the narrow streets (it’s a very old town! But it was fine parked down near the police station anyway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the old town, just below the castle, and is just a short walk from Plaza Major & the main restaurants & bars. There is free parking next to the hotel, but due to the narrow streets & confusing one-way system we parked in a nearby Plaza for free & walked to the hotel. The welcome was friendly & the room was lovely, clean & comfortable. The hotel is in an historic old building, which has been very tastefully modernised inside. We had our breakfast on the outdoor terrace, under a fig tree, below the castle and the quality & quantity of breakfast was very good. the free Wi-fi signal was strong. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking very convenient. Location excelent. Close to castle. Food delicius and big quantities. Staff very professional and ready ti help.
Cons: Nothing. Everything went well.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The wifi was very weak.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable quiet room and brilliant location, right up by the castle overlooking the town. True, you had to walk up and down the windy streets a lot, but that is part of the charm of Trujillo. The restaurant looked nice - lovely outside terrace - but we only stayed one night so didn't try it.
Cons: My mistake. I thought the breakfast was included but it is €5. It was ok but would have liked some butter and marmalede, as well as the oil and tomato, cold cuts and scrambled egg.

Pros: The location is excellent. The hostel is an old charming house. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Friendly helpful staff. Just a stroll up hill to the Plaza Mayor. Although it is by no means luxurious Hostale San Miguel suited us and we enjoyed our stay. Each of the hotel's rooms is spacious and has a private bathroom. There are attic rooms on the second floor of the hotel, and those on the first floor have balconies. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and offers typical dishes from the local and national tradition. A continental breakfast is also available every morning upon request. The Hotel Victoria has a large gardened terrace. The original structure and design of the hotel have been kept, including a large interior patio. It is located only 500 metres from the central square of Trujillo. Caceres is 45 km away while Badajoz is 147 km away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was an awkward layout. The shower head was cracked and sprayed water everywhere but where it should have gone and kept falling off the holder. It would not take much to fix this problem. The hotel restaurant was disappointing, serving very average meals and wine. The hotel is difficult to locate due to the road system and signage around the town which confuses the sat nav and frustrates the driver. .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location in historic building on edge of old town. Good breakfast.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Good WiFi. 5 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor. Room calm and spacious.
Cons: The TV was quite small
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the interior of the building, as others have described it, was indeed stunning. Though the room was a little small there were large, comfortable sitting areas close by. Fast wifi in the room. Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee for a hotel breakfast. Parking was easy once one had navigated through the surrounding, slightly confusing street layout.
Cons: as with other old buildings there was an insufficiency of electric sockets for modern travellers! the TV was tiny but the wifi was fast and i could easily acess internet TV.
6.0 Good
Pros: nearby interesting places
Cons: nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel design was stunning, taking you back to a bygone era. With secure parking and a central location this was excellent value for money.
7.3 Good
Pros: A mere 300 metres from the Plaza Mayor, this lovely hotel is light, airy and very well decorated and cared for. There is off-street parking (a fee is charged, but it's reasonable) and a popular bar and restaurant. Trujillo has many very tempting hotels and hostals, but the Victoria deserves to be better known. It's very conveniently located for the town's least touristy shops, bars and restaurants, but within walking distance of all Trujillo's most notable sights. A gem of a place!
Cons: If a light breakfast were included in the price of the room (a coffee and tostado/croissant is enough!), might this ensure that more people stayed in what is a very good hotel dominated by a delightful enclosed courtyard.
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, convenient location
Cons: lack of fridge in the room. Breakfast was meagre.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff who were attentive without being fussy and although they did not speak English this wasn't a barrier. The excellent restaurant and cafeteria in the old coach house meant that we could eat in the garden. ( Menu in English available) Food was good and reasonable with a good choice. They could see that I couldn't manage stairs and so switched me without fuss to a ground floor room
Cons: Street parking was limited but the charge of 7.50 euros to park in the underground car park seemed excessive so we waited for a parking space outside
6.0 Good
Pros: Old fashioned hotel with every comfort. Clean and comfortable.
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: conveniently placed, easy to find, most of the staff friendly
Cons: the receptionist on arrival seemed a bit put out when we booked in
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful building,a calm cool oasis of marble. The rear of the hotel features some stunning luster tiles. The hot weather during our stay meant dining outside in the spacious courtyard garden at the rear which was very pleasant and had the added buzz of the presence of local families who use this as an evening meeting place. There was no English spoken by the staff we came across but this was not an issue. The staff were all very pleasant. The car parking (at extra cost) was extremely convenient being situated at the rear of the hotel. Overall an excellent stay. Trujillo is a very interesting and lovely town and is fairly close to a stunning national wildlife reserve.
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: Location near Trujillo centre. Helpful staff. Internal patio in interesting 19th century building. We had asked for a quiet room and were given one.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: Beautiful marble-floored hotel with glassed-in atrium and comfortable exterior courtyard, adjacent to bar/restaurant. Located in older small town across from small park, and about five minutes walk from an enchanting plaza mayor. Staff were very friendly, even when our Spanish ran out. Long-term parking is about four blocks away at a municipal parking lot.
Cons:

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Sitting outside on the terrace for breakfast and in the evening was very pleasant. Our room was well air conditioned and had a balcony which although there was a high wall and therefore no view over the village was a good place to relax in the evening. The house is well situated for walking a couple of minutes into the interesting features of the centre of the village and to visit Trujillo and the Sierra de Montanchez. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Despite the exceptionally hot weather in September the swimming pool was closed. The parking beside the hotel only took two cars but there was parking available in the village a short walk away. The breakfast was basic not a buffet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Characterful building in a very small rural village. Provided an ideal halfway stopover on our travel from Santander to the bottom of Spain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady who manages the hotel is very friendly and helpful. A staff member was more than happy to share information on the area which lead me to discover things I would not have otherwise. The building was hard to locate in the village but some pleasant residents helped me find my way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful hotel in a small friendly village. The staff could not have been more welcoming and our dog became a favourite with both staff and locals. Our room had a lovely view over the village and there are easy walks along country lanes within a few metres of the hotel. The restaurant and bar are fantastic. We did our best to try everything on the menu and we were not disappointed by anything that we had. All in all, a fantastic find. We will be back!!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location of the small village - 15km easy drive to Trujillo - which is fantastic!!! Spectacular drive over the mountains from Avila Swimming pool in the hotel Rustic charm of the hotel- historical agricultural implements Little balcony overlooking the town and countryside.
Cons: The decor, lighting and proximity of the window/door meant the room was darkish. Reading was difficult Although the menu is extensive the food was worse than ordinary. I would not plan on eating there.

Pros: Everything was great. Yes it’s a bit rundown but it’s very clean and has all the facilities. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the small pool, luxurious atmosphere, central ‘cloister/bar’ and spacious rooms.
Cons: Our shower had obviously been leaking for a while as the wood had rotted by the door. It made no difference to a great shower but the floor got a bit wet.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very professional, the room had good aircon, the breakfast was very good. The rooftop pool has many relaxing chairs to choose from however, during my stay there were too many children splashing about.
Cons: Personally the area where the hotel is situated feels too humid and built up for my liking. Alcoholic drinks are expensive in the hotel for example, €7.50 for a gin and lemonade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a great location and easy to find. It was a short walk to the Plaza Mayor and the sites we wanted to visit. The restaurant was good and had a good selection of foods. Would definitely stay there again.
7.0 Good
Pros: Cool building, close to the center Room was big Parking on the street nearby was easy
Cons: Breakfast was a big disappointment (Eggs horrible, Coffee cold, one day playing music from a broken record?) Everything looks like in need of some renovation Pool is very small

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place on the country side, with big and confortable rooms. Perfect host and good homecooked meals.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Once we had located the property, we were enthralled by the house , which was a typical Spanish farm house, with grass growing on the approach pathway beyond the gate, and its position in a wide landscape of rolling fields and gentle hills under a vast, blue sky . The house is a bird watching centre and was full of enthusiastic birders (who didn't speak to non-birders like us) and a dozen White Storks' nests on a nearby ruined building were interesting to us, if not to them !! Mine host and his mother (i/c the kitchen), looked after us very well and we really did have no complaints.
Cons: Nothing
