The location is right off the main highway and a shopping center is nearby. Awful experience for tideness, premises, rooms, dining rooms, etc. I would not recommend this lodging to anyone.
The receptinoist on arrival was lovely, and helpful with my terrible french. In comparison with other places, it was also quite good value for money, although still quite expensive (especially breakfast!) The walls were a bit thin, and the neighbours quite audible, even though they were clearly trying not to.
easily accessable from any route and very well situated and signed
Bit scruffy and an odd smell in the public areas
Nothing No bar or atmosphere
Convenient for the motorway and economical Location by a roundabout would not suit all. Slight damp problem in room.
charming staff especially the manageress - very helpful and all in all, a very pleasant stay - we shall return.
Everything was very good about this hotel.
good view of the sea, nice dining room, good breakfast the room looked dated and in need of refurbishment, parking limited
Staff. hey were very kind end professional Small bedrooms. Lack of information about the meals in the hotel. Any time we asked for lunch or dinner there had never a table for us. Even when given time. We ended up thinking that we were not welcome in their restaurant. No procedure to follow to get a table anywhere. Sad and disappointing. My son and I are respectable and well behaved!
Great view, very clean hotel, helpful staff, good location
Fantastic location, Binic is a lovely town and the Hotel was superb. No parking, but free parking was available quite near. Might be a problem if hotel is full.
Good sized rooms, excellent breakfast choice
The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant was good though being decorated the next day The position of the hotel too far from the town centre to walk in the evening. Also its situation in a tacky "estate" of hotels outside the town meant there was a total lack of character. Good for an overnight business stop but not for an extended stay with a coach group
Wifi does not work!!!
bread fresh unhelpful reception staff, no biscuits in room, no plug in sink, needed to ask twice for extra pillow, at breakfast,0830, there were no trays, no cups, no croissants, no cutlery, tables were not cleared and cleaned and no staff available for some considerable time.
the friendliness of the staff in this family run hotel
The hotel and room were wonderful. The room was extremely large and spacious (infact it was a house). The pool and gardens were beautifully kept. The food was fantastic with such attention to small detail.
The pool, the scenery, the room, the food
The food! Location also lovely and pool and area was super but the weather was not so we couldn't use it. The cuisine was exceptional. Did not like the room, lacking that special something that all the others on our trip had... equipped for disabled people so bathroom functional rather than attractive and although spacious, the room was not very comfortable. As the hotel appeared to be empty the two nights we were there we found this was a bit odd and wondered why. The room we were given bore no resemblance to website photo.
The room was fantastic, a mixture of new decor and facilities and original features such as a lovely ceiling with exposed beams. Very spacious and great bathroom. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, surrounded by fields and trees. A great country retreat.
We stayed over the May bank holiday weekend, it was exceptionally quiet if you like solitude this is the place. Staff were lovely however we only ever saw one who was receptionist, barmaid, waitress and manageress. The room we were given was designed for the disabled should have been informed when making the booking. Food was not as good as expected having read the reviews.
Hotel is fine with nice welcome but dinner is very poor for the very high price being asked. Dinner is barely worth half what was charged. Good breakfast
The remoteness, its proximity to St Brieuc airport, the excellent dinner and the breakfast served in our room. Two walls were windows in our room; opening the curtains fully would have been somewhat public, although the place is quiet and hidden.
The quite location, the building and swimming pool with hot shower in the garden. The breakfast is very good Few lighting night in garden
very pleasant and friendly staff. Very close to town centre.
It seemed to be over rated on the star guide; very basic. Poorly lit stairs. Toilet had not been flushed prior to arrival.
Easy access to Wi-Fi
Close to the centre of the town but still quite. Good continental breakfast. Friendly staff.
The Manager was genuinely extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room prices were very reasonable The walls of the room need to be soundproofed? I could clearly hear the person in the next room dialling on his mobile, his conversation and his wife talking from the other end of the phone. I could not understand anything being in french.
Charming staff. Nice sized room. Probably the most powerful shower ever! Good location near town centre but quiet. Free off-road parking. Quality breakfast.
Good location in centre of st brieuc. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and comfortable. small gripe- no coffee making facilities in room
big bed . friendly staff
Very relaxed, made very welcome, staff extremely helpful, room really lovely
location near to town centre and good parking
No tea/coffee in rooms
the staff were very pleasant and helpful.the position was good as a gateway to the area.
convienence to local resturants and bars very quiet on weekends
Clean and comfortable Not open for check-in after 11 pm. We had to ask for the heating to be turned on.
Ease of access to surrounding area, helpfull staff. Restaurant was disappointing, the shower head not attached to wall therefore a relaxing stand up shower is impossible.
The staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms quite small but clean. The restauarant was closed on both evenings we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast was meagre with little choice and expensive at 7 euros per person.
Clean, quiet, good breakfast. No dislikes.
The manager/staff were helpful and friendly - they stored our two cycles inside overnight for security.
The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great. No
Practical, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hospitality of the host was very good and the hotel was clean and tidy. The location of the hotel to the town center and the railway station was convenient.
Very disposable and gentle owners No lift, just stairs
Helpful staff, off-road parking (willing to let us put motorbike in private garage adjacent to parking area), central location. Plug action not working in sink, broken shower fixing
Very characterful place to stay and is a lot nicer inside than it looks from the street! The staff were absolutely great and breakfast was very good value, well worth paying extra for.
I enjoyed the food and the hotel staff where very helpful no
The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too, good value for money.
The hotel was very clean and tidy, very spacious even concidering that we were one adult and three young children to a double room.the extra beds provided were at reasonable rate.over all the whole hotel seemed of a higher standard then the 2star rating that it has. The staff although always helpful and curtious, could have been more friendly and willing.also maybe we always were the last to eat but the breakfast quality could have been better.
The Restaurant was outstanding for qquality and variety. Highly recomended Beds were a little "firm"
You had not booked us in. Fortunately there was a spare room
travelled around the area looking for property to buy the restaurant staff were taken up in serving a bus party and the meal was ages coming the portions were small also the kitchen closed at 10.15 . The hotel was excellent but was let down by the restaurant food and service .The restaurant is missing out on a captive audience as there are no other options close by only a macdonalds which is not what english people come to france for.
The booking process and your questionnaire are in English. "Au Chêne Vert" is in France and in France we speak French.
Perfect for a one night stop over. family room with good clean ensuite. Breakfast basic, ran out of croissants.
Your questionnaire is in english, it's a very bad point for a french customer.
Particularly helpful staff, especially at Reception and in the Restaurant. Clean, comfortable and warm room. More than adequate parking and easy access from the main road. This was my fifth stay at Au Chene Vert and in my opinion it gets better each time. The restaurant is not "haute cuisine" but serves well cooked, enjoyable and reasonably priced meals. Bath was very slippery and no shower/bath mat was provided. I slipped getting out of the shower and injured myself.
With these rooms you get what you pay for! They're cheap and adequate but rather like cells! Just a little something to soften the rooms would not go amiss. The showers are poor.
When we arrived at around 11.45pm I presumed that the pin number on my email would let us enter the car park but it didn't. My husband parked elsewhere and we had to carry a sleeping child in. Once we booked in we found we were issues a new pin from the booking and had to go and move the car. I had informed you that we would be a late arrival so this seems a silly way of doing things.
Economy stay hotel. Basic accommodation but clean, helpful staff who are keen to do wtat they can to make your stay acceptable. Very basic but what can you expect for the money
It was cheap and fairly clean You could easily hear the people next door
All Premiere Classe are the same - very basic but adequate - they're cheap, clean and convenient for onward travel. Staff are good and the breakfast is fine. Closeness to road (noise), the upper bunk is not the easiest to access. There was a picture on the wall of the Chateauroux one which made it less like a prison cell!
The flexibility to cancel days we had reserved at a day's notice Not quite central enough for us as we didn't have a car
Cheap, clean, reasonable location for food outlets and public transport. Bit noisy (motorway).
Hotel lobby staff tries to direct guests to restaurant in hotel when I asked for directions to good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Got food poisoning eating seafood in the "hotel" brasserie.
hotel service no
The staff are extraordinarily helpful. Rooms are modern and first rate. Breakfasts were wonderful.
The room was well laid out, modern and clean. The restaurant for breakfast was a pleasant environment. The hotel is in the very centre of St Brieuc within walking distance of most key centres. Being in the centre of town makes it very noisy. The staff we encountered exhibited a range of customer-friendliness from very approachable and helpful to somewhat surely.
Town centre location easy walk to restaurants etc.
Great rooms. We were in a block 50m from reception. beautifully modern rooms, bathrooms superbe.
Excellent staff, clean tidy hotel, great location in city close to centre, cafes/bars and bus station
The staff were very friendly and the food was very good as well.
proximity to shops, modern decor, excellent facilities in room, such as electric shutter on window, staff very helpful
We were pleased at the location. crossiants, Dissapointed with the room, very thin walls and what was a very strange bathroom? A little supprised that reception was closed at night and completly close off. Breakfast was very poor and certainly not value for money 12 euros for crossiants, coffee and yoghurt is not very good. at over 90 euros a night I would have expected at least coffee making facilities and a television that was of a decent size.
Easy access; friendly and helpful Staff; very good breakfast
Excellent staff very keen to help and go the extra mile where necessary
Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful Buffet breakfast was expensive
