Pros: Beautiful surroundings and the layout of the rooms meant you were not disturbed.
Cons: The pillows were so hard, I had a stiff neck for three days.
Pros: wonderful welcome and excellent facilities
Cons: leaving was difficult as we would have loved to stay longer.
Pros: Great bathroom - especially the shower.
Cons: A mirror in the bedroom area would have helped.
Pros: Everything was perfect!
Pros: All right, very hospitable, clean and well organized
Pros: I like liked everything. Helpful and friendly staff. All very accommodating. Comfortable, clean and well appointed apartment. Great location. Convenient parking. Great value for money. Swimming pool and hot tub on hand. We would love to come back.
Located in Locoal-Mendon, Ferme de Kervihern is within a 15-minute drive of St. Laurent Golf Course and Foret Adrenaline. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: PEACE! beautifully quiet and well positioned base. We had dinner our first evening, with another couple and their daughter, which was most enjoyable. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable.
Pros: The property is really nice. It's a typical house from the 1600s that has been really well maintained. The host was extremely nice and didn't have an issue with me checking in quite late (7PM). The room was super spacious and the bathroom and shower were brand new. The bed was confortable, and there were tons of plugs around the room. The breakfast was sensational. Homemade bakeries and apple juice, plus fresh bread. I would come back again. Outstanding value for money. Location-wise, you definitely need a car to get there, but you're very close from the main sights around.
Cons: Not much really.
Pros: Excellent property, room, comfort, and friendliness
Cons: Needs better directions / signs to property
Pros: Very nice farm, nice room, surely the best accomodation of all our trip to britanny . The owner is very nice she gave us plenty of informations about the area, breakfast is really delicious with local products, we also stayed there for dinner and we were very happy . The place is close to main attractions if you have a car . We would absolutely recommend it and come here again!
Located 15 km from Quiberon Bay and from Carnac’s Beach, Les Hortensias de Kerbach features a garden, a furnished terrace and a room with a LCD TV and a DVD player. Free Wi-Fi access is provided. The self-catering room features a seating area and a view of the garden. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and includes a hairdryer. A continental breakfast is served daily and includes homemade cake and jam. The breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace on sunny mornings. Activities nearby include hiking in Mané-Bogad which is just 4.9 km from the cottage. Saint-Laurent’s Golf Club is 8.2 km away and there is a free, private car park on site.
Pros: Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The place is located in a small quiet village away from roads, in an old traditional stone house, which is renovated. There is a beautiful small garden with lots of hortensias. The room is spacious, nicely decorated and has a small well-equipped kitchen. The breakfast is traditional French, with baguette, cake, jams, butter, cheese and coffee and is brought to your door in the morning in a basket. Having a car is recommended. If you drive to Kerbarch from the Auray direction, it may be more convenient to go to the next roundabout and turn around there, instead of doing a left turn directly. If you need, there is a big E.Leclerc hypermarket at Auray just within a 5-10 minutes drive. The area around has a lot of megalithic sites, but also many other interesting places, like Auray and Vannes, Quiberon peninsula, and the whole Gulf of Morbihan region. They all are close, most within half an hour drive, which makes the location excellent for exploring around.
Cons: The only downside is that provided towels were a bit smelly.
Pros: Very nice stay in this apartment. It was well stocked with all the necessary kitchenware and other items necessary for our stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and well stocked. The owner and her husband are very nice. We generally didn't see her but her husband does the garden work so we ended up having some great conversations with him so we could ask questions and he could practice his English (and I could sometimes practice my miserable French!) About the only issue we had was very poor wifi the entire time along with pretty poor cell phone service, which made it impossible to do any additional research beyond what we'd done before we came. The location is very good if you're into all of the Neolithic sites but also for exploring all the lovely little towns along the coastline. We were pretty much the only Americans in the entire area so if English is your only language, you'll have some issues as there is very little in English anywhere (we were only the second Americans to ever stay at Hortensias.)
Cons: Just the wifi-
Pros: Our room was spacious and well-decorated with a very large, comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and was brought to our door in a hamper each morning. The home-made cakes were particularly good! The kitchenette was a big plus for us. It included a microwave oven and a two-ring induction hob - cooking our own food made a welcome change after eating in restaurants every night for two weeks. The house is just outside Auray, close to the megaliths of Carnac and to several lovely beaches and is a very good centre for exploring Southern Brittany.
Cons: The sensor for the lighting on the stairs up to our room was not working properly but this is a very minor point.
Pros: Gorgeous garden and cute little town for taking walks. Room was huge and included a little kitchenette which was great for preparing our own meals. The host makes breakfast baskets and leaves them outside the door to your room so you can have a private breakfast in your kitchen.
Cons: Parking was a little tight and difficult to turn around.
Pros: The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were more than helpful especially when I left an piece of clothing in the wardrobe. They may arrangements for me to collect it.
Pros: Great space, with kitchen
Pros: Beautiful gite... Comfortable accommodation... Friendly owners.... Location ideal. This gite was a real Gem and would highly recommend. We had French breakfast delivered to our room every morning.. What a delight! Quiberon on Saturday and Auray on Monday markets highly recommended... But go early as its get extremely busy.

Pros: The personal touch. The owners were charming and very keen to make our stay great in every way. The hotel was attractive, comfortable, and thought had gone into its every detail.
Pros: Friendly greeting on arrival. Beautiful room. Lovely, clean swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers. Quiet location with own terrace outside the room. delicious breakfast especially the lemon jam! Enjoyed the pets.
Cons: A fan or air-conditioner in the room would have made the stay more comfortable.
Pros: I loved the breakfast and the very special creations of marmelades
Pros: Clean, good location.no signage meant hard to find.
Cons: No signage meant hard to find.
Pros: Nice place. Facilities were in good order. Breakfast was exactly what I needed.
Cons: It would have been nice if a restaurant was connected to the hotel.
Pros: A real gem! Quiet, relaxing, stylish, friendly and welcoming, with a lovely garden in a great location.
Pros: So nice that we stayed another night.

The breakfast was really fabulous, with homemade, bio products and our host, Nicolas very helpful, friendly and hospitable. We would definitely stay again! Thanks so much!
With a stay at Les Chambres De Kerzerho in Erdeven, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Carnac Beach and Foret Adrenaline.
Pros: The bed was very comfy and everything was very clean. Breakfast had pastries.
Cons: The baby cot wasn’t ready when we arrived and my partner had to set it up himself. There wasn’t enough bread at breakfast and the staff wasn’t here when we arrived although we specified our arrival time and they confirmed it was OK.
Pros: Breakfast top 10. The room was so clean and spaceful, our room had a share terrace where you could have breakfast in the morning.Ask Dominique, she give always good recommendations (restaurants, places to visit,...).If we come back, definitely will do it here!
Pros: Nicely situated for an easy walk into the village, we stayed 3 nights in the little studio apartment in the garden....and loved it.

Pros: The breakfast was outstanding , along with all the facilities. Short ride into Belz to get an evening meal

Cons: Small room, but definitely enough for an overnight stay Thin walls and doors - one can hear neighbors
Camping de Loperhet is situated on 14 hectares of land, with a 9-hectare fishing lake, a 5-minute drive from Plouharnel beach in Lower Brittany. It features a covered, heated swimming pool, spa, water slide, tennis court, a 9-hectare fishing pond and entertainment in the high season. The resort offers a variety of mobile homes, all of which include a dining area with an equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom with a shower and a private garden area with furniture and a parasol. Some mobile homes include a TV while in some, it can be rented at an extra cost. Camping de Loperhet has a grocery shop, and a snack and bakery service during July and August. Guests have access to a laundrette with washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is a TV room and an internet café. Wi-Fi access is available at an extra cost. Bicycle hire is available on site.
Pros: Clean and comfy, beautiful surroundings and nice hosts.
Pros: The camp cafe was very good and camp staff were all friendly and helpful. The activities on site were great fun: the slide into the pool, the tennis, the singing and the bicycle hire. I also liked that there was sufficient space between the caravans for privacy. The washing machines worked well.
Cons: I didn't realise that we were expected to bring our own sheets. The camp shop held just a few items, so I cycled the 2 miles to the nearest supermarket. Most people at the site relied on their car and the campsite staff were surprised that we didn't have one as we had arrived via train and taxi. I hired a bike from the site. During a walk by the lake I was bitten by insects.
Pros: location and towns nearby..not too crowded and very pleasant area
Cons: I was not allowed to use the swimming pool due to the campsite policy on the use of swimming shorts. I did not understand the rationale for this policy. My swimming trunks were perfectly suitable and were proper and expensive swimming attire. I was very disappointed that I was not able to use the pool with my family especially as it was a very hot weekend.
Pros: The hotel is simple, in an excellent location and run by a very friendly lady.
Pros: The owner and staff were so pleasant and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent.
Pros: Ideally situated for a long holiday ( we only stayed a night) as it is close to the best beach in the area. It is also close to Erdeven, a traditional Breton town with market and one especially good restaurant.
Pros: Madam and her staff were lovely. Although the room was small it was very cosy and we had an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was great
Pros: We arrived later than anticipated, after a very long drive, but we had warned Chantal by emails that we would be late arriving. Chantal was very helpful and accommodating and she left the key for us; she gave us a very warm welcome at breakfast. The breakfast was very good, with a good choice, including healthy options. The room was brightly decorated, nice and clean. It had a great shower. I am sure we will come back again and stay a bit longer next time around.
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable and very family friendly. Superb location, just a few kilometres from an amazing beach. Dinners were homecooked and outstanding with the best of local ingredients and really reasonably priced.
Pros: Rate was reasonable (45 euros). Friendly family.
Cons: A bit too shabby. Not the cleanest. We couldn't use the blanket on the bed, it just looked too scruffy and dirty, but fortunately we had our own with us. There is no television in the room.
See hotel page Lovers of calm, serenity and green, Hotel du Golf Saint-Laurent,The Originals Relais is for you. In this 3-star 42-room hotel with restaurant, spa, swimming pool and meeting rooms, located in Plomel, a few kilometres from Auray (Morbihan), you will be welcomed by Sandrine and Cdric Coffin and their team in quiet and green surroundings, one of the most beautiful golf courses in western France.
Pros: A nice place with swimming pool.
Cons: Internet access is very limited, almost none.
Pros: Good choice for breakfast and enjoyable dinner on first night (ate out on 2nd night). Useful access from ground floor room to car park although a bit surprised that there were no gauze curtains. Pool looked good but didn't try it.
Cons: I was there to play golf but the hotel reception didn't seem to appreciate that the club was about 200 metres up the road and completely separate. I needed to hire clubs so delay made me late for my tee time. May be failure of communication between Hotel and Brittany Ferries
Pros: First off, I can not say enough good things about the staff, they were fantastic, and if it was just them I was rating, the it would be 10/10.. However Its location is well placed to discover the local area, but dont expect to be able to walk to a restaurant anywhere close by, but as a base, its adequate. The hotels main attraction is the pool, which is superb, even on a bad weather day, it was welcome and is well maintained. I was disappointed that it does not open until 1000 am which, considering it is not a manned pool, seemed a shame as I could not start the day with a nice swim.
Cons: the hotel itself is quite dated. It feels like they are trying, but its just not got there yet. The reception area is fine, but the corridor to the ground floor rooms was dark and quite intimidating, and felt like a throwback to the 1970s. The restaurant was also quite dated and the music played was so bad, it discouraged us from wanting to remain to be honest. Also, check the final price. We booked based on €265 for 3 people for 2 nights but with city taxes and breakfasts, and 1 drink each on both nights for 2 of us, the bill came in closer to €385 which did come as a shock, so be warned.
Pros: Friendly staff . Great food . Brilliant swimming pool
Pros: All the rest. Superb location and the hotel is well run and managed.
Cons: The internet connection. It was frugal and sluggish.
Pros: Really helpful staff
Cons: Rooms on the small side
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Manager was VERY kind and helpful (his wife drove us to the nearby railway station when we took the train to the south of France and the manager met us at the station on our return). There was a tremendous array of breakfast food (with the exception of a 'full English). The evening meals were extremely good: a varied menu and extremely delicious. The outdoor pool was maintained at a very comfortable temperature and there was a constant supply of towels for those guests who wanted to use it.
Cons: We would have liked all the staff to have been wearing name tabs so that we could have address them by name.
When you stay at Logis Hôtel le Trianon in Etel, you'll be near the beach and 10 minutes by foot from Musee des Thoniers. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very accommodating staff.
Pros: Charming traditional French rooms with a lovely garden courtyard area. Family room had plenty of space. Good buffet breakfast with fresh brioche and apple pastries and good coffee. Great little town we want to revisit. There was a pianist on the quayside, a market and local fish restaurants.
Cons: The bathrooms were a little old-fashioned. 2 bathrooms for family room but only one shower and one toilet
Pros: The room was decorated in a similar fashion to my great grandmother’s pre fabricated post war accommodation. Plenty of silky fabric, sequins, and ornamental butterflies. The small double bed provided a cosy nights sleep for my father and I, although the nylon sheets did produce a tremendous amount of static electricity.
Cons: The staff at the hotel seemed quite unaware of the existence of booking.com or of electronic booking systems in general. The man behind the desk made Basil Faulty look like a model of ruthless Teutonic efficiency. He took over 40 minutes to navigate the complex booking system of taking currency and in turn supplying us with a key. He spent a lot of time using a confusing carbon copy ledger system, and eventually provided us with a sheet eligibley scrawled upon in the local dialect. After more mummering and shuffling he provided us with a key, and did indeed appear pleased with his performance. I have been more frustrated, but this was when I attended the mad hatter’s tea party from the fictional novel Alice in Wonderland. He certainly would be well placed in a government office that has to interact with the public. Perhaps something to do with driving licenses or passports.
Located in Etel, 900 metres from the beach, this Breton-style property features a garden, a communal living room with free daily newspapers and free Wi-Fi throughout. A homemade breakfast is offered every morning. With a view of the garden, rooms at L'Escale de la Ria is provided with free toiletries, bathrobes and hairdryer. They all have a private bathroom located on the landing. At this B&B you can have additional meals, which are always prepared with fresh fish and the market products. A communal lounge with a refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle are also available. Several hiking paths leave directly from L'Escale de la Ria and the marina is 900 metres away. Saint Laurent golf course is 9.5 km away and Lorient is a 25-minute drive away.
Pros: The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful in guiding us on what to see in the area. Very nice couple!
Cons: The bathroom in our room had a strong sewage smell, especially when flushing the toilet, that would linger.. Had to keep bathroom door open to the bedroom for air circulation...
Located in Ploemel, Golf Hébergement Bretagne is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Quiberon Bay and Carnac Menhirs. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
With a stay at Hotel Des Voyageurs in Erdeven, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Carnac Beach and Foret Adrenaline. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A perfect place to visit all the menhirs in the region. There is a free parking in the property. The triple room is correct but a bit old-fashioned.
Cons: It was difficult to find a place to have dinner nearby. There is no lift but there are only two floors.
Pros: Excellent traditional French hotel. First class restaurant with a good selection of menus at different prices. Excellent value for money.
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Good breakfast with fruit and yoghurt as well as bread and croissants. We had a very nice meal in the hotel restaurant.
Pros: The staff were very friendly & welcoming, the rooms plenty big enough with good sized bathrooms. It was very good value for money and in a great location for the area. Breakfast was lovely with fabulous coffee, croissants, bread and jam. We also had lunch here as their menu was good value: it was one of the best meals we had on our whole holiday.
Cons: The halls to the bedrooms were rather dark, and one of the overheads lights had a very dim bulb in, so it was a little tricky to unlock the doors to begin with, though we soon got used to it.
Pros: Great food, great staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: Not too keen on 3 flights of stairs to get to bedroom, but then could have paid more for the room.
Pros: The room was good, big windows which are great in the heat. Food was good and the staff very friendly.
Cons: Our room was a bit too far from the Wi Fi so I couldn't log on. Not that bothered but I like to work when away.
Pros: Well kept. Friendly and good Good quiet location
Cons: Total closed and locked when we arrived at 17.00. We had to call a staff member on a mobile. He arrived 15 minutes later. The restaurant - our main reason for going there - was closed for the night. Nobody had bothered to inform us when we booked (that included Booking.com by the way). Their explanation: the staff were 'tired'. This was our 3rd or 4th visit (we knew the hotel was very basic but the restaurant good, and the location convenient); we will not return.
Cons: This used to be our favourite Brittany hotel. Not so anymore. Parking was at worse difficult at best OK. Never seen it like this before. Also we had no hot water for most of the week. The room was not as clean as on previous occasions. We ate at the restaurant and found it below its usual standard.
