The facilities are second to none - it's the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Franscchoek, and relax after a long day of wine tasting. The team set us up with an amazing driver, Jakes, who was there whenever we needed him, extremely knowledgeable and great company. i picked Franscchoek as the place as the place to propose to my (now) fiancé, and Cape Vue made the trip even more perfect.

Pros: The hosts (Tim and Nadine) and staff are absolutely wonderful. I can’t sing their praises enough. From the time we arrived, we were treated to the highest hospitality and kindness. The room was large, well appointed with ample charging stations, in floor bathroom heating, heated towel racks, warm, good pressure shower, soft towels and robes. Wifi signal was strong and tv had good selection of news and movie channels. The breakfasts are delish with hot and cold offerings— hot dishes are cooked to order. Pros: It was very convenient for the local wine farms. Also on the edge of town so a little quieter.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything is immaculate. The room was extremely clean and modern. I was welcomed and offered a great parking spot secure behind gates. Shown my very large room with large clean bathroom and shower. I was advised the "Cattle Barron" down the road was a great choice for dinner. (It WAS!). When I arrived back I had a great sleep. Bed and bedding was fantastic. Fridge with cold water and milk for tea and coffee was available. The next morning i was welcomed with a fantastic two course breakfast in the communal dining area. The Greek yogurt with honey on a warm apple crumble with blueberries was a welcome surprise. The breakfast that followed was perfectly poached eggs on a crispy English muffin with avocado and mozzarella. With a side of bacon, two sausages and a portion of sauteed cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. The portion was large. I could not finish it.
Cons: The venue is on a busy road. If you are a very light sleeper this could be an issue.

Pros: Perfect location & facilities were well equipped. We were able to access the whole place including bringing a yoga teacher on site for a stunning yoga session on the decking.

Pros: Breakfast was an absolute feast
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast is the highlight of the place. Except for the treatment we got from the owner. Thanks to the Lady who made us breakfast, you were too sweet.
Cons: The owner's treatment towards us. I personally felt uncomfortable to the place, and couldn't wait to leave. There was a misunderstanding about the use of the braai area and the way the owner spoke to us, as if we had not asked for permission to use the area( assistance manager gave us the go ahead initially ). Upon our check out, he couldn't even greet us nor look at us, as guest. I sincerely hope this treatment is not projected to people of color only. I will not recommend this place to anyone
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was lovely and the villa was beautiful. They actually have Zebras on sight! We loved it :) They also serve a world class breakfast and the ambience felt like home. We will for sure return if we are in the area.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We stayed in one of the cottages as it was cheaper for 3 persons that renting 2 rooms in the hotel. However, we fully enjoyed what the main facility has to offer: great swimming pool with plenty of room to relax and a nice bar and best of all the delicious breakfast cooked served by the owner, Ilzebet.
Cons: One night stay: we should have planned to stay 2 nights.

Pros: We really liked the location , on top of a hill , with a wonderful view of the mountains . The host was a real sweetheart and went out of his way to make the stay unforgettable . It is recomandable however to take a higher room catagory , since the basic rooms are a bit dark and cold .

Pros: My welcome was warm, my hosts extremely helpful with suggestions and information regarding the surrounding areas. Staff very friendly. Full breakfast and optional dinners very good. Rooms very clean with a new and fresh feel. Bathroom facilities modern, with plenty of hot water in the shower and great water pressure too, a big plus in my books. The property is beautifully cared for and is surrounded by Du ToitsKloof mountains. It has easy access to the highway/motorway/freeway and a few kilometers from Paarl and other wineries. Will definitely visit again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excelent location in a quiet area between olive trees, vinyard and lake. Nice and big rooms withe terrace.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was both English and German (meat and cheese) and was lovely. The history associated with the home -- and it really was a 'home' in every way, was very interesting as the land was bought in 1691, I think it was, while the farmhouse itself was established in 1823 -- with a magnificent front door and huge brass lock and key . The owners were gracious and welcoming -- particularly as I had arrived late after being delayed in Cape Town and needed accommodation urgently. I really loved all the cats and dogs who expected pats as part of their ritual with guests. It's a positive sign when animals behave that way.
Cons: The room was really first class in every way but the floor was very dusty. I found that strange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, ambience and such beautiful scenery.
